If you want your coffee before 10am, go elsewhere— these guys open whenever they feel like it, usually between 10am and 11am even though their posted hours claim 8am. The baristas are inattentive, genuinely disinterested, frequently rude, and usually too busy chatting with each other to take your order. They seem extremely irritated they have to get up (usually seen sitting behind the counter with feet propped up) to serve you. I’m not sure if the woman who works here is just perpetually hungover or if she actually hates everyone, but ordering from her is seriously uncomfortable; you are anxious for the interaction to be over and you just hope she doesn’t spit in your coffee. Pictured is my 16oz americano, which, I discovered after I got to work, she under-filled to more than an inch below the brim. The food is fine, the coffee is hit-or-miss but frequently tastes dirty or stale, and the service is far from friendly or even adequate. This is my local neighborhood coffee shop so I’ve given them lots of chances out of sheer proximity favorability, so it’s with full confidence I can say they’ll let you down more than they get it right. You’ll have better luck at the Starbucks on Denny, two blocks away. At least you know they’ll be open to serve you on time and they’ll probably get your order right.

I’m a long time customer of cafe cosmos and would usually stop by a few times a week for their iced chai or latte. The service was always pleasant and coffee was good quality. Lately the service has been horrible and the coffee tastes burnt and undrinkable ever since a new-ish barista started working (black curly hair?). She’s honestly super rude and just stares at you until you order and one time I pointed to a pastry I wanted on the bottom shelf and she stood there and said I had to use “more descriptions because I can’t see what’s in the case”. Isn’t it your job to know what’s in the pastry case? I do like the atmosphere inside. Super chill and lots of board games.

It's surprising to see such a wonderful cafe only to be discovered as a hidden gem. It's not your regular coffee shop here, it's much more, an intergalactic space themed cafe - equipped with a tonne of boardgames and, of course, delicious coffee. Not just ordinary coffee, but amalgamated with different flavors and hints of hazelnut, chocolate, vanilla and all the glorious aromas known to the universe. We ordered the Milky Way and the Galileo. Would definitely recommend this place, warmth of their staff, coffee, and the vibe!

I usually feel bad asking for things that aren't on the menu, but I saw they had lemonade and lavender, and I asked the batista to make me a lavender lemonade, and she knocked it out of the park! Also, she told me she gets requests for that quite often and wishes it were something on the menu. It was absolutely great, and the games and atmosphere is wonderful. I'll definitely be back to try more things.

Nice space with a few comfy couches to relax, work and enjoy a drink. Their milky way was indeed the best drink they had and highly recommend it. The service was very good, fast and clean. The space is very clean and not as busy. About 10 minutes walk from the space needle and nice space to have dates with friends and colleagues.

We don't have a lot of themed cafes in Seattle so I was very excited to check this one out. I got the "io" which is a butterscotch latte with brown sugar, whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It was $7.72 after tax for 20 oz. Not sure why prices were erased from the menu board. The latte tasted really good. Looking forward to try their other drinks! They have lots of board games, books, and an interesting decor.

Cool interior and love they have board games but the guy working was in the back for 10+ minutes for some reason while 2 people waited in front of me. Also had his air pods in which seems a bit inappropriate. Americano was also pretty weak sadly.

This cafe was out of this world! Not just another coffee shop, cafe cosmos has a host of unique, themed menu items, late hours with beer/wine, and a huge community game area. The coffee was exceptional and the service spectacular and helpful. We found a new favorite place in Seattle!

As of this review, one of the only coffee shops in Seattle that still stays open late (THANK YOU)! The vibe is pretty chill so it’s a great place to meet for coffee or to work remotely.

The coffee itself was not in the best range of coffees but I can see this as a good place to hang out with friends or even for a casual date with all the board games available.

My first day in Seattle, and I must say, this coffee shop offers the most delectable brew I've ever tasted! Having spent a decade in NYC exploring numerous cafes, I can confidently say that this one ranks at the very top. The added bonus is the captivating and unique atmosphere that sets it apart. More

Not commenting on coffee as I didn’t get a chance to try it. We went in on a weekday afternoon, there was only one customer waiting to get their order. The barista and the customer were chatting for the whole time we were waiting. Eventually we had to leave realizing our turn is not meant to come..

Every time you take a sip of their coffee, you slowly slip away into another Universe. Take your time though, don't want you to get stranded in the wormhole. The portal awaits you here at the Cosmos. Rest easy spacetime travelers, life is a marathon not a sprint More

A nice little hole-in-the-wall cafe. They have a wide selection of board and card games for you to play while you have your coffee with friends. Coffee was perfectly fine and their Chai was wonderful. The only gripe I have is that they had

Came in shortly after the store opened in the morning and it was just my friend and I. The employee seemed like she was in a bad mood and my friend and I were super uncomfortable. We had planned to stay and play a game or two as we waited

Cozy, warm place. Great place to hangout with friends and family and have some fun. With plethora of games, books at your disposal, and exciting blend of coffee and bakery in your hand, it's a perfect place to have a great time.

Rude customer service, lady rolled her eyes as soon as we walked in and the guy at the counter was on his phone for 30 seconds before acknowledging us. Coffee is mid and the muffins are stale. Wouldn’t recommend it. More

Great quality coffee from Fidalgo roasters, excellent baked goods selection, cool vibes/ambiance and friendly staff. Love the board game setup. Definitely a great spot to grab a bite, coffee, or hang out with friends.

I had the Milky Way specialty latte and it was great! The theme is very interesting and the menu is very intriguing. A wide variety of table games are available to play. Very nice coffee shop.
