Frequent visitors, food always excellent, delicious, large portions at reasonable prices but the staff are what put this establishment on a level above all others; attentive, friendly, engaging, helpful and extremely efficient, a real asset to the business. Managers are always around ensuring the wheels are turning smoothly. Best to sit outside if you're in a larger group and want to talk to everyone at the table as it gets quite noisy inside but there are heaters in winter and beautiful big umbrellas for the sun, so the patio is great.

A friend recommended this hidden treasure in Hillcrest. The café is cosy and has left the best impressions! We encountered hospitable staff; the food ordered was ready quickly and our 9-year-old commented that his English breakfast was 5*. Hubby had the “cowboy breakfast” and I the “egg benedict with salmon” which were beautifully presented and delicious. Unfortunately, due to lack of time, we did not get to try the wonderful dessert menu. Would recommend this café as it is truly worth another visit…Helen W.

Whenever in town this was my "go to" as I considered it head and shoulders above all other cafe's in the area. I had a disappointing meal with my parents, not one of our meals was to our satisfaction. If the overall menu is largely based on the type of bread that is served with each menu item its imperative to get the toasting/presentation of it right. My panini was soft and bready , my father's open sandwich was to a crisp as was my mothers toasted which was dried out crumbly toast.

We had Mom's 80th birthday at Mayfair..the food was beautiful, everyone enjoyed everything. The staff were just lovely, attentive and they prepared the table beautifully for us. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you to all at Mayfair.

Without exaggeration, this is the best café I have ever been to in terms of customer service. I feel like my every need was anticipated before I even needed to ask for it. Every staff member was kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. Food is excellent, and served SPEEDILY. I was caught off guard by how quickly I got my order. This was impressive, especially since the shop was completely full. I will be coming back!

This is by far my favorite cafe to go to… it has delicious food, great service friendly staff. The coffee is so good you need to order two in a sitting and they have alt milk When you order it is quick turn around time and the staff clean thoroughly before and after you sit. They have hand sanitizer on each table. Definitely recommend them. Bonus: if you order a burger to go they package it deconstructed so it won’t get soggy by the time you get home… how devine!

Our first time trying Café Mayfair went so well with the efficient service, clean space and well prepared food. The naked burger with lamb was flavourful and generous in portion size, and the calamari salad with ginger slithers took spotlight. No more boring, watery salads for me! We visited this establishment today during a public holiday(workers day). We choose a table for 4 and was about to sit down... suddenly the managers comes in and rudely moves us to a table in the dark corner, as he wants to utilize the space for a 7 seater crowd, even though there was a vacant 8 seater table next to us. He didn't have the decency to ask us if would like to move. We just woke up and left I will not visit this place again !

Although we just had waffles, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the best was that we noticed the staff helping each other out with tables. That is what service is all about. Inside and outside seating. Shopping centre toilet available and lots of parking.

Superb food, fantastic service, and wonderfully willing to make substitutes and additions to meals. I think that the only downside is the location, which feels a bit like an office block on a main road. It's a real shame because the area does have some wonderful garden venues with great views. However, this is a relatively minor downside to an otherwise superb Cafe.

I have never had an unpleasant experience here. Because i work from my laptop i choose to try out the variety of resturants in Hillcrest, and Mayfair is my top choice every time! The wifi is exceptional and handles several users without a sweat. The staff are professional and the managers are always on alert and courteous. P.S. the sweet table is the best idea!

Cafe Mayfair has now become my favourite place to go. The food is so delicious and fresh, esp the breakfast. The Service is amazing. You are greeted at the door with smiling eyes (masks on of course). The waiters and waitresses are super friendly and quick with service. I highly recommend Cafe Mayfair for those who are looking for a family feel atmosphere.

I battled to find how to get into the parking. So missed it the first time and went somewhere else!! The food and service were good. It's a little bare and doesn't exude warmth! But that's just a very personal opinion!

First visit, so difficult to review properly. Staff were extremely friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of. I had the calamari salad which was very tasty, however the slices of pickled ginger were a bit too much flavour size for the dish. Had they been cut smaller, they would have blended well with the other flavours.

Lovely local hangout with great seating and indoor ambience. Staff is courteous and friendly with quick service and welcome recommendation to a newcomer experiencing the menu. Looking forward to returning here and trying out some of the specials.

The warm interior and sun soaked exterior, which overlooks the busy Old Main Rd in Hillcrest offers a relaxed space to quietly observe or have a meet up. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highchair and crayons, as well as a kiddies menu offered to children.
