12/01/2022 visited this restaurant for breakfast,I ordered an omelette and white toast ,felt abit odd that one slice came in the existing plate with Omelette and one slice on side plate as I was eating the bread on the existing omelette plate I noticed the bread had a spot of green and it looked like mould when I showed the owner/manager she was insisting it’s not mould and flour ,first time I saw and heard of flour being green on one spot ,secondly my husband ordered the normal breakfast and his bacon was very crispy to an extent there was no taste when he pointed it out to the waitress she took the entire meal back when there was no need to could have only taken the bacon back and fixed it and didn’t even inform my husband what she was going to do just took the plate away and went for some time ,until she finally returned and we had to rush to work and we took food away as take away ,very disappointing as we often go to this place and first time had a bad encounter

We so enjoyed our first experience here, that we had to go back the next week- 120km from home. Service is excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The menu caters for vegans and vegetarians as well. I had the baked potato with a salad the first time. I'm not a salad person but I ate it all. The honey glaze was mouthwatering.On the second visit, I was in heaven, tucking into roast butternut, mash and the most succulent chicken. My husband had the chicken salad. Portions are large and they're very reasonably priced. There's a delightful array of cakes to choose from. I highly recommend this little gem. To top it all, you can see the staff enjoy working here.

Great place. Amazing staff. Th waiters there are everything. but the elderly white lady who is in charge is extremely disrespectful and doesn’t regard customers at all. The other day she reprimanded one of the waiters while she was still speaking to me and assisting me. Yesterday when we walked it and wanted to grab an extra table like we always do, she instructed the manager to make sure that no tables are moved when we were looking around, whereas the table right infront of us had added an extra table for them. All of a sudden for us, no tables should’ve been moved. I’m highly disappointed. I’ve been going to moto for close to a year and I spend plus minus 4 days a week there.

The worst cafe I have ever been too. Went here with my friends and was so disappointed as I had picked the place based on the apparent good reviews. Waitress took us in, gave us a seat at a dirty table, came back with a cloth and wiped all of crumbs onto my pants. She did not come back to attend to us or take our order. We managed to get the attention of another waiter after 20 minutes who brought us menus and left. Waited another 15 minutes trying to place an order but no waiter was available and it was not even busy! We had to just leave and go to another restaurant. Even while leaving the waiters did not even stop us or ask if they could assist.

What an AMAZING place. We spent about 1 month in Umhlanga for work reasons and found ourselves going to MOTO Cafe almost every day to enjoy their delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. After having visited many coffee shops in the area, MOTO ended up being home away from home for us... The staff is friendly and efficient, the owners are warm, passionate and hands-on. Having found MOTO is one of the reasons why we don't want to go back home! Their formula is just perfect: Delicious food, great coffee, friendly service, reliable WiFi, and a beautifully designed space! We are going to miss you guys, thanks for everything and see you next time!

Attempted to try this Establishment for the first time today as we had seen good reviews. Unfortunately we did not experience this. Absolutely pathetic service to a point that we left without even ordering after waiting 25 minutes with no service. Waiters just walk past you when you call for assistance. The waiter (Philani) who was supposed to attend to us shows another couple to their seats and offers them drinks immediately. Why did we not even get a menu or any service? After looking around it was obvious that skin color takes preference or do we need to own a bike? . We will not be back to this place

A great place with friendly service and a very welcoming atmosphere. Food was good and the coffee was even better. A lovely spot for casual dining or even business meetings.

Let's start with the amazing barista who is talented in Creating an excellent Cuppacino and my fav a Red cuppa YUM. Nice and strong and wow can he draw in foam. The food looks amazing here too guys, I've been twice and the staff now call me by name. They're incredibly friendly as well as quick and efficient which is key to a great experience. Trendy decor. Loved it - my new Old Town Italy as I can at least hear myself think if I want to work from the top section that is more chilled with plug points and couches and tables. Very cool place! This cool and peaceful cafe is one of my top spots in Durban. I have been here multiple times and the food is ALWAYS amazing! The staff is friendly, helpful and thoughtful to give you a glass of ice cold water upon arrival on the hot Durban days. The Bacon Eggs Benedict is one of my favourite dishes served here. The dish never fails, it comes out perfect every time and is so yummy! The meals however are sometimes of the smaller portions.

What a gem of a place, hidden within the Umhlanga area. After driving for over 30 minutes in the hustle of the umhlanga area, trying to find a breakfast place for 4 kiddos and 2 very hungry adults, I recalled a sterling review of the Moto cafe on Fb. This establishment did not disappoint, great food, excellent service, and special attention to the entire group. Definitely recommend Moto cafe, and will be returning very soon! Thanks all.

What an amazing place. I pass it every couple of days and today decided to have a squiz. What an awesome little gem in a very unexpected place. Service was so great! Decided to pop in for a quick take away and the owner/manageress(not sure) was so helpful and friendly. Best of all, my wrap was YUM! It looked like such an awesome place to have a quick bite, a meeting, catch up on a mail, or just have a drink. So happy I found you Moto!

What a disappointing experience this morning. Moto Cafe was our choice of meeting over coffee and gathering to hand over the gifts made for little sick children in hospital. Instead of being kind, friendly, welcoming and interested in the cause we were asked to remove all the gifts as they should have been warned/asked about allowing this. To be met with hostility like this is quite sad and so unexpected

Breakfast at Moto's was interesting...I had the frozen lemonade again but this time instead of my toasted HCT(ham, cheese & tomatoes), I had the flapjacks. My husband had his coffee and strange concoction of chicken and rice...they make the best frozen lemonade and coffee and believe it or not the Cajun chicken.

Beautiful cafe in Umhlanga away from the hustle of the main city. A good place if you're looking for a nice calm vibe away from the crowds. The hot chocolate was a bit different and not quite to my liking, but the food was delicious. Excellent service.

Lately my husband and I were getting frustrated with so many places when it comes to having breakfast out somewhere. Bad or cold coffee, bad quality breakfast, poor service, and so on... This morning we visit Moto Cafe for the first time, and we loved everything about this place. It will be our go place from now on Thank you Moto Cafe for your high quality food and service

Lovely little eatery. Service was very slow though - perhaps because we were chatting away instead of looking at our menus? Food was delish and perfectly prepared and presented. A customer sitting alongside us was having a meeting via his laptop and unfortunately his loudness made it difficult to hear each other. Other than that, it was my first visit and I will definitely back.

A warm welcome from the owner, Glenn, and staff, to their casual, bright, industrial vibe is a good start to a good breakfast. Lindiwe served us with a smile. Freshly squeezed orange juice was healthy; Eggs Benedict was creamy with an option of crispy or soft bacon; rounded off with a cappuccino that hit the spot. Lots of parking, and lots of fun: try it for yourself!

We had such a wonderful experience at this establishment. Having only visited Durban for a few days, we weren't sure where to go eat and stumbled on this place by chance. The service was fantastic, such friendly and accommodating staff. The food was absolutely delicious, a really fantastic experience. Will definitely be back next time we're in Durbs

Very friendly service, nice vibe with old cameras and a bike theme. Went there twice for lunch and the owner was present on both occasions, greeting us as we walked in. She remembered us from the previous visit. Food was great and nicely presented. Not a lot of different flavors to choose from though. The serve breakfast too.

Great healthy food at affordable prices. Ample parking and lovely atmosphere. Waiters are professional and on the ball. They understand the menu will enough to recommend and remember their return customers. The only reason I have rated 4 iso 5 is the restrooms are situated outside the property which is a minor inconvenience.

A great new Cafe that has been open for a few weeks. The coffee is brilliant and the food is all good quality. The menu is filled with meals that anyone could eat. The decor is modern and trendy. The upstairs area has couches and coffee tables making it suitable for small meetings or for if you need a more relaxed setting

My son is loud. Like Boeing 747 loud. The family owned and managed Moto never blink an eye when we visit. I always feel welcome and never feel like an imposition, this is a huge deal for us with little kiddies. They are my absolute favourite place to have breakfast; food and person wise. Cannot recommend enough

Interesting restaurant with a cool motor bike theme with a cheeky parking spot for motor bikes. Service from get go was excellent with an interesting menu. Delivered with excellent food would have got a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ however the menu price was expensive and pulled the rating down .

Wow, wow, wow what a great little shop, first time here but greeted like I'm a regular, menu very affordable and endless variety, coffee great. Great place to go while at the carwash around the corner. Ocean the waitress was amazing. Will certainly visit again when in the area.

Definitely a place to visit for breakfast. Great coffee, excellent service and fantastic food. The potato rosti with pulled pork and pushed egg was an absolute winner. I'm planning my next visit just so I can have that again. They also provide free wi-fi with decent speed.

Lovely and unexpected find. What a little gem. The ambiance and decor was comfortable and chilled. The Vegie Stack was "out of this world" and my full house was good, (if I have one crit, it would be the grilled sausage- not great) Definitely going back.

I found out about Moto a few days ago and it's my favorite cafe in Umhlanga! There's a great vibe inside and the food and coffee is good for a fair price. I also really recommend the place for small meetings because it's nice and quiet and has fast free WiFi.

A brilliant Cafe for breakfast or lunch and the owners Taryn and Daniel are "peoples, people" . The menu has great variety with the freedom to build a meal.. Great idea. If you in New Town Umhlanga Rocks, Meridian Drive head for Outlet Park and be spoilt.

Moto cafe has some amazing breakfast and brunch options. I had the edges benedict in rostis which was top notch. Also Glenn who owns the place is an absolute legend and has some really great travel advice. If you’re in Uhmlanga then definitely pass by!

What an amazing experience. Just saw motor cafe while shopping in the area and we stopped to have a bite to eat. The food is epic and heart warming. The staff are always checking up on us. Great place with great atmosphere . Definitely will be back.

Average food and vibe with inexplicably long waiting times considering the place had 7 people excluding my wife and i, 2 of which were already eating. Could also do with more friendly staff. Doubt I'd bother going back.

So the venue is great and seems to have a good following. Coffee was good but disappointed in the cheese and tomato tramazinni. Cold, barely any cheese, thick bread. Definitely needs some work on that. Maybe next time
