**RACISTS** A group of friends and I decide to stop in here for a few drinks. My friends got in before me. I walked up about five minutes after them. They were sitting in the patio section and I greeted them as I walked up. That’s when a person at the door laughed and told me “I’m not letting you in”. I was caught off guard so I asked him “me?” He said yes and walked away in to the bar. I was appalled by the reaction so I asked the other two people at the door what the reason was for me not being allowed in. The guy first tried to tell me I fell off of a scooter. Then he changed his story and said my friend (who was already in the bar) fell off of a scooter so that’s why I couldn’t come in. Then he told me that I was loud. Mind you this place was empty. While I am trying to figure out why I’m not being allowed in a group of very loud, and clearly drunk white women walk up SCREAMING and are allowed right in. When I asked how they are allowed in and I’m not. They didn’t have an answer. I am Middle Eastern and I was racially profiled that night. I would NEVER recommend this place. Unprofessional, rude, disgusting, and **RACIST**

I've walked up and down Milwaukee quite a lot and yet never knew this place existed until recently. It's very eclectic -- mismatched furniture, antiques, and art everywhere you look -- an antidote to all the ~hip and modern~ coffee shops that have been poppin' up all over the city. Very unpretentious. Their coffee is provided by Bridgeport Coffee (hooray!). My smokey maple latte was tasty but I wish it was a touch hotter. WiFi isn't the fastest, especially if you sit on the bar side. Greeeeat playlist, though! I love when I go to coffee shops to do work and don't need to put in my earphones because the curated songs are great and they play them at the perfect sound level. We were able to do work in the cafe side past 6pm and weren't shooed away. They have a full calendar of events; they have something going on every night. We went on a Sunday, which was karaoke night, but left even before it started.

Ya I mean the vibes? Amazing. The cold brew ice coffee that I had at 11pm? Delicious, dare I say one of the best cold brews I ever had past 5pm. Best place to study or do work at night because as more and more people come into the bar you can get more and more stressed about doing work in place your definitely should not be doing work at. The bar has a great atmosphere and some really interesting Non-alcoholic cocktail options witch you really don't see often. I really enjoy the sobriety support for those who choose that life style. The drinks with alcohol were relatively strong it seems so that is a plus too. All around seems like a good place for friends with differing tastes, from vibes to drink options they really cover all the bases here.

This cute cafe has got everything you need, from breakfast to dinner, a solid espresso/coffee menu, and a full-service bar. It's the kind of place where you can work, hang out, or just grab a bite, coffee, or a drink. I stumbled in here by accident, but I'm so glad I did because I totally fell in love with the vibes. The staff is super nice and laid-back. Plus, they're open late, so it's a great spot to get some work done no matter what time it is. I ended up spending hours here just working on my laptop. Already making plans to come back with my friends

Went to see a show, had a decent set up and seems like they really support local artists which is great! Space is divided into 2, but that left very few tables on the stage side, and I saw some awkward encounters between the bouncer and a couple trying to grab some chairs so they could watch. Drinks looked great, I wasn't into drinking that evening and was super happy so see they had coffee and La Croix on the menu! Coffee was fantastic. The women next to me ordered their vegan chili and the serving size looked generous! Overall, good drink options and great community feel. Set up is just kind of cramped and awkward for more than say.. 20 to 30 people on the stage side.

  • Lolita Salgado

I found this place through a friend several years ago, and I LOVE their iced coffee, among their specialty hot coffees which are also delicious, pastries from local bakeries that are out of this world, and not to mention their uniquely crafted brunch menu with vegan friendly items - which keeps me coming back for their weekend brunch specials. This place is cozy, offers free WiFi perfect for when you need to study or work from home, and has just the right combination of good tunes that aren’t blaring to keep you focused on reading or allow you to have a conversation where you aren’t shouting to hear the other person. Highly recommend checking it out!

Cafe Mustache in Logan Square offers a charming atmosphere with delightful jazz tunes, creating a Phoebe Buffay-style ambiance. The breakfast wrap is a standout, delivering amazing flavors, and the latte is an absolute delight. The vintage store setting with hippie decorations adds character, although some chairs could use a touch-up, and Despite minor repairs, and some cleanings like windows corner area and bathroom. it's definitely worth a visit for a unique and enjoyable experience.

Came there with a group just to do a lil karaoke at midnight, when around 1:30, the long dark haired bartender (that works there but apparently *off the clock*) decided to come up to our group and try to flirt with my friends girl. Was getting real unprofessional and disrespectful and trying to whisper things in her ear. Personally don’t think douche bags like this should be representing your establishment but it seemed like all the other bartender, (with zero context of the situation) sided with the weirdo. It’s cool tho. I spit on his shoes 2x but he was probably too drunk to realize. Last time showing up there, get some new talent.

  • Kristi Emmons

I haven't tried the cafe portion yet, but went into the bar on a Friday night. Super wintery out, and the bar was still decently cracking. Seems like they have a nice beer selection. It's one of those hip divey places. I think there were DJ's in the window. They were playing a ton of old rock and roll, from like the 70s. Definitely a scene there; it matched the music, with all the cool kids that are into that, along with some local, old school neighborhood-y regular customer type peeps. They have WiFi. The staff were all really cool and nice.

I'm giving it two stars for the bartenders and the crowdMs vibe. I came here for karaoke on a Saturday night. At first I put in a song and the DJ let me know it had already been played. No problem. My friend and I then submitted a list of options where we just said just pick one since we didn't want to repeat songs. 2 hours later and we still hadn't been selected even though it was very obvious people who arrived way later than us had gotten their songs put I the queue. The space isn't thar big. Tbh, it felt a pinch color coded

I love the atmosphere, it's very eclectic and retro. The people working are always so kind and laid back and the coffee is fantastic! I highly recommend the dirty chai if that's what you're into. It's a great place to go solo, to work on a project, or to meet up with friends or a group. Plus there's a bar in the back room, so you can get your caffeine fix before you have a few drinks, and there are plenty of board games to choose from to help break the ice with people. Support local stores and come here, you won't be disappointed!

  • Mallory Parker

The folks here are always kind, and they've often got interesting things going on. You can usually catch an interesting show on nights you wouldn't expect anything but a beer in front of you. Or you end up watching old Sailor Moon episodes playing silently on their many antique TVs. For a while, before the pandemic, they had SEGA video games for customers to play. They clearly put a lot of effort into creating a good environment for their clientele. The times I've had their food while the cafe is open, it's been excellent too.

  • Jack Flora

The dude w/ braids checking IDs told my friends it was “at capacity” when I was inside and it was clearly not, my friends are Mexican. They told me it was because he was racist. I tried to ask him why he wouldn’t let the 2 of them in he was very rude and said “do you want to work here” I tried to ask him why he wouldn’t let them in he just kept saying it was at capacity but the place wasn’t even close to being full:/

  • Mandi Pants

I went on a Saturday night to check out a friend's band. I dont have any problem with the staff, the place, or anything. It was just nothing to "write home about." I was greeted with strong B.O. upon entering. I left and hour later feeling old and crotchety. I'll probably check it out on a weekday for coffee. It seems like a good spot to catch up with a friend or a first date. There are board games and good vibes.

  • Annabella Habegger

Had a wonderful black pepper, fig, and vanilla latte with a ginger peach scone! Lucked out and came in on a day someone was playing great ambient music live. Really loved the photo booth, worth every penny of $6.50 (card)/$6 (cash) as you get both color and black and white high quality photos. Will definitely visit again in the future!

My friend and I walked in this cafe yesterday night. We really liked decor and vibe of the place. It is very huge! We liked the art on the walls and music was decent. Service was friendly. The only con I can tell about was when I asked for a cortado, a barista told: "sure we can do that" and I got a small latte instead served in 8oz cup, which was good though. My friend enjoyed her flavored one.

  • Ariana N

Employee was a rockstar handling the line of customers all by themselves on a Saturday morning. I hadn’t been here since the last time I visited Chicago in 2021 and it looks exactly the same. Love the veggie breakfast burrito, rose water chai latte, and decor.

Awesome cute little place, love the atmosphere and the music. It's busy but not crowded. The breakfast wrap I had was perfectly made, and there are plenty of places to work from with a laptop. Didn't have many three prong outlets, but that's the only downside. If I lived near here it would be my regular spot, but since I don't I'll just come here when I'm in the neighborhood

  • Ronnie Ghose

Small cozy coffee shop in Logan Square. Pretty quiet especially during Covid - no where to Dine Inside but they're more than happy to give cozies/etc so you can have what you need as you leave. Few different and interesting flavors such as Black Pepper Fig Coffee. Also has artwork from around the community. Seems like an awesome place to spend with a book during normal times

  • Nathan Wells

This is a new choice spot for me to do work. This establishment transitions from a coffee spot to down-tempo cocktail lounge to do work- that also serves affordable beer offerings too. I mainly go because I enjoy eavesdrop or jump into conversations on synthesizer, electronic music, Chicago music scene history conversations when I need a break from my work at hand.

This is a great spot for Coffee by day. Nice cozy tables and room for working in a retro inspired no frills fun environment. At night its a bar with great music, live bands or DJs. Staff is friendly and prices are very fair. Interesting DIY creative room decor with a Juke box with an A+ music selection. Everyone feels welcome here. A diamond in the sand!

My gin and tonic was amazing. Service is a bit slow, but they are super nice. I will knock a few stars off though, the owner or manager not sure what she is, is a bit tense and made me feel un comfortable. Short hair older woman with yellow dress.

My personal favorite cafe in Chicago. Love the homey vibe, the vegan chili is a lunch staple, friendly service, dedicated neighborhood ownership, good teas, and it's a great little bar at night. Good gumbo. Soup specials are always good, often excellent. I love their vinyl collection. This is my number one hangout in Logan Square.

  • Tomas Lopez-Betanzos

Great venue and multi-purpose space. I have seen a few shows here; usually the neighborhood band or a friend's show. It's a perfect intimate space for that local type of gathering. Coffee shop with ample board game selection on one side and a bar with classic Chicago drinks on the other. Multiple bathrooms, credit cards accepted.

  • Jane Wilberding

One of my fav spots in the City. This space is so unique in that you can grab a coffee and work, meet-up with friends (I have met here for a book club), have a delicious cocktail at the bar, or attend a full out event. So versatile and effective. Cannot recommend enough!

Best mocha in Logan Square. Great entertainment. It would be great if they served a limited coffee menu at night because they’re still open but I understand they need to have a barista on staff to do that. It would also be nice if they kept the WiFi on when they were open. They turn off the WiFi at night. I’m not sure why.

The cookies were yum! Coffee is basic and nice. It’s a good spot to hang out at, get some writing in. Turns into a bar by the evening, music changes.

This is a cute little place. Pleasant and efficient staff. I was there on a Saturday night and even with the bar doing a mean business the two bartenders never once let me go thirsty. Karaoke list is solid and attracts a lot of great singers. Hip crowd not afraid to let their Old Style flags fly. Highly recommended.

  • Mark C

This place is one of the best café/bars in logan square. The staff are good people all experienced musicians, artists or local cultural icons. The Americano is perfect, the bar has one of the best karaoke nights (sunday) and the live music/comedy that happens nearly every night is always awesome and well curated.

  • Jessica Santana

Pretty expensive coffee and everything. But it's a cute eclectic place and tasty chilli (also $$). The music is pretty loud though. I had trouble focusing when I went to do some work there. Also the wi-fi shuts off at 6 pm every day. I guess it's to kick the people off their laptops and socialize? Not sure.

  • Christopher Davidson

Unique cafe. Sells Chicago bands on vinyl, plays records for background music (currently a Link Wray album with songs by his influences), plays music in bar side at night. Decorations are thrift store finds: old globes, Nat Geo mags, etc. Some fun paintings of water bears/tardigrades in bar side right now.

  • Matt Farmer

Unique spot, friends staff, excellent americano. The place itself plus great coffee earned the 5 stars. Sandwich itself drifting towards less but still fine. Definitely recommended for a light meal. There are two front doors. The main entry door is on yoir right when facing the building, back to street.

  • Nathan Resing

You found it! There's nothing better than a joint serving coffee and booze in one all encompassing relaxed vibe. This is the place for that experience on the Blue Line. Zen transitions from finishing your remote work day, to having your favorite drink listening to a jam sesh, or playing a board game.

Felt old but I kinda am. People were good at karaoke and the bartender forgot to ring us in for two of our shots. I grabbed Jess's butt and thought about how amazing she is. I'm crazy about her. Didn't smoke any weed here but it seems like it wouldnt be that big of a deal.

  • Ektaa Bhatia

A nice, spacious place to work that wasn't too crowded (even on a Saturday morning). The black pepper & fig latte was amazing, though a little pricey. The quiche tasted good but was not like a normal quiche crust - still good. The chili was great as well.

  • Chelsie Tamms

Great mix of coffee shop by day, bar and event space by night. Staff is nice and it’s a fun place to work for an afternoon or meet someone for coffee. They’ve got great food too! We enjoy the Egg & Cheese Bagel as well as the Country Time Wrap.

The bar next door to the cafe is amazing. After 6pm, they don’t serve coffee nor offer WiFi. They had a DJ playing some jazzy/old school hip hop music. Awesome, low-key place to hang out on a Saturday night.
