Absolutely adore our local, with excellent coffee and a huge range of other hot drinks, smoothies, milkshakes, fresh juices and bottle drinks, and a terrific menu. Consistently amazing food and such beautiful staff, there's definitely something to please even the pickiest of eaters, from toasted sangos to Vietnamese inspired dishes, innovative specials and really yummy sweet dishes. Indoor and outdoor dining and very dog friendly. We've never had a bad experience here, and we've been coming here for years and years! (10+) Check it out. You won't be sad you did.

Benedict was good, the beef wasn't great but overll it was ok, the Mashroom madness was great, The buttercream pankace was better than the other shops, the only problem with pankace dush was using not fresh mackademia' Here's an improved version of the review: I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the presentation of the food was impressive. In particular, the Mushroom Madness dish was fantastic, and the buttercream pancake stood out as better than what I've had at other places. However, while the Benedict was good, the beef dish fell short of expectations. Although it was still decent overall, it didn't quite meet the high standard set by the other dishes. Additionally, the only drawback to the pancake dish was the use of not-fresh macadamia nuts in the dusting, which was disappointing. Overall, while there were some standout dishes, there were also a few misses. Nonetheless, the great staff and overall quality of the food made for an enjoyable experience.

Absolutely amazing oh my gosh!!!! I never leave reviews but this place seriously deserves one. They have an amazing menu and you can tell they put love into their food. I honestly could not decide what I wanted, the food we received and the food we saw on other tables you could tell genuine effort was put into the food!! They didn’t just put things on the plate and served it, they have a really good attention to detail and the presentation was amazing, the flavours were beautiful! They seriously do care about quality. Price was regular pricing and pretty normal, one thing I will say is if you sit inside it can be noisy but it’s only because it’s an amazing cafe and clearly very popular!! definitely make a booking because it was busy. But yeah if a noisy cafe isn’t for you, you can always sit outside or get take away. Me and my friend were absolutely impressed and will definitely return. 10000/10

The standards of hygiene here are poor. When I walked in I noticed a staff member wiping up a spillage behind the counter with a dry paper towel. All the empty tables hadn’t been wiped down. The floor hadn’t been mopped properly. When my order was served, they went to put everything down on a filthy table, except I stopped them and pointed out that the table was dirty -the waitress then proceeded to wipe the dirty table with yet another bit of dry paper towel. They seem to have no idea how to clean and I watched them tidy up all the other tables for the next customers without cleaning the food off any of them. It’s hard to enjoy coffee when you feel like everything you touch is germy.. but even though it looked the part it tasted as if the machine had not been maintained. The food was not particularly enjoyable either.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...this cafe is wonderful. The BEST chai lattes and decaf soy lattes. I don't drink normal coffee but the amount of people who pour into the place and get coffees....they must be excellent. And the food! Always yummy. Can't fault. And the service is super friendly and personal. I can't think of any other cafes that match up to this place to be honest. And I'm always travelling around.

I used to come here for takeaways as I like the taste of their coffee. Service however was underwhelming, especially from the guy who is often at the counter in the morning. No eye contact, no smile, simply asked for what I wanted to order and said nothing else after. Not even a thank you! I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but this happened every single time. Weirdly enough, he seems to be very friendly towards some other customers and even chatted to them while taking my orders! I've moved on to another cafe since.

Staff are lovely and very welcoming. The vibe is great however the food and coffee is shocking. The long black tastes like instant coffee even worse to be honest, and the latte is very weak and milky. I think there beans aren’t the best and their food supplies are not well prepared / cooked. Amazing staff and a great vibe but at the end of the day this is a food and drinks business and those main points are just downright bad.

1 year ago. My first visit today as I was very early for an appointment next door. Busy, but terrific staff, on top of it all, complete with smiles. Great service, atmosphere & iced coffee. A little noisy but I think it's just the accoustics & I am, after all, a grumpy old woman. I'll definitely be back.8/4/2021 have been back regularly & the service has remained superb. What can I say about Cafe Rubix…it’s such a joy to grab my morning coffee from the happy team which makes a great start to the day. This morning all the staff were dressed in Halloween ..face painting, costumes the whole 9 yards .. great effort .. Whojuit took the prize for best dressed and little remmi as a close second .. Ricardo (aka Daniel) wasn’t there but he doesn’t need to dress up to scare people.. and then there is senior remmi (my favourite ) .. love ya coffee guy and ya spirit

Cafe Rubix was a surprisingly busy cafe, located in a small group of shops ( Kerrimur) on Middleborough Rd. Best parking is opposite shop ( 2 hr) whilest parking in front of shops is 1 hr only. All our food was very tasty, reasonably priced and service was fairly quick. Would have liked to see a bit more variety in desserts/sweets cabinet.

Great place to grab a bite for lunch and often grab a toasted focaccia but gotta say the mayonnaise you offer tastes and looks very clear and watery (not creamy and whole egg style). It ruins the flavour of the dish. I order without mayonnaise and add my own. I know you offer Aioli but that is very overpowering and garlicky. If you used Kewpie or Best Foods Mayo I would adjust this review to 5 stars. Coffee is good and staff are friendly ☕️

Really nice, cosy cafe. Stopped by to do some work for a short while and ordered a Mocha. Loved the chocolate-y and smooth taste of it! Loved the ambience and staff were very friendly! I have been looking for my favorite coffee around the area, and I stop in Rubix cafe. Staffs are all so kind and warm every visit. My work's go to place for morning coffee's, lunch coffee's, and "I just need a coffee" coffee's. The staff are always attentive and have positive attitudes 110% of the time I go here. Their focaccias are brilliant, as are their muffins (I loveeee the berry ones). I personally enjoy grabbing a mixed berry smoothie or a matcha. I really like that they remember customers and are a part of the keep cup initiative.

Cafe Rubix is a decent cafe. It has good local parking, a kids menu and a decent amount of seating. My partner and I thought the food was ok but not great and our drinks (coffee and a hot chocolate) were at best average. The service was fast and the food came out extremely quickly. I would rate Rubix as an average cafe that really needs to up it's game of it wants to compete in Melbourne.

Nice and easy breakfast on a Sunday morning. This Cafe opens early so doesn't eat up your day. The smashed avo and the corn fritters were great. Service was attentive, polite and friendly and there was no rush to get us out of there so we could hangout and chat for a while. Coffee was very nice as well. Will be back when I'm next in Melbourne.

My husband brings me home a take away lactose free latte from Cafe Rubix at least one a week. During lock down we would take turns getting the coffee because it was our outing. Cafe Rubix is a bit of a community hub for the area not just a coffee shop. It’s always busy and you can see why.

Went here for brunch today. While we really enjoyed the mains, the drinks we ordered weren't that great- matcha was over strong and with the wrong milk. Tea was fairly standard. A very busy atmosphere over lunch but we still found a place to sit and were able to talk easily. Would go here again, but would change the drink order.

Excellent coffee and a wonderful Buttermilk Pancake stack; topped with poached pear and crushed macadamia, buttermilk syrup, vanilla bean mascarpone and strawberry gel. Soy flat white coffee was smooth. Long black served hot had good flavor and not over espressed or burned. Local clientele obviously like very hot coffee.

I like my coffee & really like the way they make it. Friendly service, great coffee, wonderful freshly made muffins & good range of options for breakfast or lunch. Still going strong.

Got sick from eating there. Dont risk it. Claimed bread was gluten free until ate it, then said sorry didnt understand despite questioning the item several time. Could not care less . Very dangerous for celiac or food allergies when they dont care. A shoulder shrug is not good enough by the owners. Stay away!!!!!

I just got out of hospital and was aching for a coffee so I went here & was received in a most friendly manner & bought a delightful coffee & they threw in a lovely muffin on the house to help me celebrate my new found freedom. Truly lovely place & people to match, Big recommendations, try it to believe it!!!

A perfect little gem. Piped by on way back from dancing school and was blown away by the service and food quality. Perfect balance of flavours with nothing being overpowered, especially cakes, which were not overbearing my sweet. Taking my family there to celebrate a birthday.

Seasonal menus are added every season, with a mix of Asian flavors, great! The coffee is also very fragrant, and I like to be open until 4.30pm，and you can have afternoon tea after 2 o'clock.

Chai was very good, eggs Benedict was good (really nice ham), but clientele were weird; loud forced laughter, yoga mums with uggsboots on seats, some random kids sat at our table. Just weird.
