Underwhelming performance. Having moved from oversees several years ago and once within Canada, we chose Alberta Pro Movers because of the reviews on google. They were very keen to get estimates done and the company stated that none of the moving items caused any issues. Every labeled box would be put into the corresponding room in the new home. Furthermore, they stated that a person would be on site to supervise the (inner city) move. Two days before the move, another person from the company came over and all of the sudden claimed that they "most likely" were not able to move one sports equipment due to size and that the crew might not be able to take it apart (as previously promised). The recommendation was that we should ask the crew on the moving day( !) whether they could do it or call the company we bought it from whether they could move it. Needless to say that this ended up in extra stress for us having to take it apart two days before the move. We had also asked the company whether they could assemble for us some Ikea furniture as well which they happily agreed to. On the day of the move, no supervisor was there as opposed to promised at the time the estimate was done. The crew was unaware of the Ikea furniture and was reluctant to put it together, so we ended up doing it. Saved us costs but cost us lots of nerves since the idea was to have the furniture up and running to later store out moved items. Had they only be upfront with us... Two out of the three crew were very kind and helpful. One was abrasive and refused to leave the boxes where they were supposed to go as labelled. Very frustrating and unnerving. His argument was that he also had another job to do! We just wanted him out of the house and our belongings save. We had to lend them various tools (cordless drills, hammers etc.) to put furniture back together. On the plus side, all furniture was moved without damage. We would not use them again even if we had to move on our own.

Alberta Pro Movers completed a small office move within my company. It may have been a small move, but it was a nasty move nonetheless. Dust, dirt, buildong maintenance materials and what seemed like a million pieces that could not be boxed or easily moved around other than individually. Heavy, hot work, lots of walking and stairs between areas. From the first, Alberta Pro Movers were easy to deal with. Other companies I tried contacting passed me from person to person before I could even get quotes on rates. However, Stephanie at AB Pro was the first to pick up the phone and immediately offered me pricing and rate breakdown based on number of crew members and travel time. While other companies were not able to accomodate my timing (I get it, I gave about 4 business day's notice), Stephanie was able to find a day within a half week notice to get guys in. Day of the move, Adam, Bryan and Josh showed up early (good in this case, they needed all the time and more than we expected), and immediately went to work. These guys busted their butts to get the job done, and while I don't mind if a guy takes a break to eat lunch, they did not stop once. Professional, friendly guys, and they even boxed up a bunch of stuff that I had not been able to get to. No breakage, drops or smashes, no nicks or gouges in walls, this was a stellar team of workers. Alberta Pro Movers, thank you for all of your assistance and quick timing and your excellent calibre of employees. I will certainly utilize your services next move I have, and will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone I know.

Not the best experience at first but after everything was sorted out it was much better. First of all they only had 1 working dolly as the 2nd dolly they brought didn’t move?! So I told them they could use 1 that I had purchased so it would speed things up as I was being charged by the time it took them to get it done. We also believe that they put a hole in the wall in one of the rooms, unfortunately I wasn’t watching over them every second WHICH YOU NEED TO DO. They said after they moved a box into one of the bedrooms that there was a previously existing hole, why wouldn’t they bring me in their before they put the boxes down to tell me?! The hole was right where they put the stuff in the room and we had just did a pre-inspection a day or 2 before & there wasn’t anything. The movers were fine, they were friendly but in all honestly they were a bit slow and things took longer then they should have. My fiance & I could have moved the stuff with a uhaul in less time as everything was packed and ready to go for them. The move also cost us way more then quoted and they have hidden fees, they charge an extra 10% of the total amount in gas as well as an hour extra for travel (which is pretty standard). Overall a move that should have been done in 2.5-3 hours took 4, not worth the almost $700!! Update: After speaking with the manager Adam, we figured everything out and they were willing to rectify these issues and address my concerns. He was fair and seems to actually care if you aren’t happy, all in all a much better experience after getting everything sorted out!

I’d like to express special thanks and Give my highest recommendation to Alberta Pro Movers and specifically Adam, Tyler and Casey. Anyone who knows our family, knows that the circumstances of us moving up to High Level from Okotoks have been very challenging in the last several months. We had to reschedule the move several times even needing to move our stuff into storage because of the wildfires in the area. This allowed us to have a coworker friend of mine stay in our home a little bit longer because she was evacuated as well. The entire team was super flexible and Adam and Stephanie were responsive to concerns no and honest throughout the move. In giving us our quote they were able to stick to it despite some challenges with needing extra packing and an extra truck! They moved us in today and did a fantastic job. It was 26° in High Level with a thick smoke that looked like fog. We all smell like campers and it was really hot... but they never complained and were kind despite me accidentally telling them the wrong place to move things on a few occasions. The truck was well packed, items were well protected and kept clean. Floor was protected with Runners and they were able to put items where I requested them. They were overall just a fantastic team I would strongly and highly recommend them to anyone moving! Marc G

I was super critical of reviews from other Calgary movers and I chose to use ABPRO, from the moment I contacted them and spoke with Stephanie she was sensitive to my concerns and was incredibly professional wich helped made me feel at ease THANKS Stephanie !! The 2 men that moved me are Mike &Jamie I can't say enough good thing about them, They showed up on exactly the time that was given and a phone call to say hi and confirm { NOT LATE!!!!} they were exceptionally professional from the moment they got out of the truck and all through the move with manners that should be acknowledged from others within all work environments and sites ,I can't say enough again how professional this Jamie &Mike are as I work with hundreds of people a month in many many different sites through out southern AB, Mike &Jamie were SUPER effeciant ,profession looking and didn't wast time and completed move very fast & without ZEREO damage to anything ,,,house or items moved,,,I hope ABPRO can maintain this level of professionalism and work ethics as its something missing in society these days!!!!! Stephanie kept me sane as the closing date of my new home kept getting pushed. With grace and a smile in her voice I knew her "no problem" comments were genuine. Once the date was finalized and the day drew closer as always, anxiety increased. All of my worries left once my team arrived with positive energy and an efficient plan. I opted for the third set of hands and it was the smoothest and quickest move I have ever experienced. I strongly suggest that option. There was lots of laughter and my team was polite, friendly, and professional. All that, and still came in under the quote to close off the biggest day in my life. I could not have asked for a better team or a better choice in moving professionals. I don't plan on moving for a long time now but if/when I do you can be rest assured, Alberta Pro Movers will be on speed dial.

First time using a moving service, was nervous after hearing so many horror stories over the years. These guys were 5 star! I would rate higher if I could. From the first moment that I called and spoke with Stephanie. She was kind, clear and did not waste any of my time. The guys called me when they were on their way over and arrived on schedule. The guys that took care of my move were clean, friendly, VERY fast, and most importantly treated they my things with as much care as I would as the owner. Nothing but fast and professional. One of the managers, Adam, happened to be in the area, he stopped in just to say hello and even moved a couple things while he was there. Accurate quote, top notch service and all with a smile. I wish I could give them 10 stars and more. These guys are professionals and have a good heart. I had team of James, Brandon, Austin, and Tyler help me move, and from start to finish, I’m left completely satisfied. Despite us having lots of furniture (heavy stuff too!) they went above and beyond to have all of our stuff moved and set in the place where I wanted. These guys always have fun during hard work, and Brandon’s laughter gives a very happy energy. I have never been so happy with a company before and you guys are just downright awesome. Also, Stephanie on the phone for appointment and explanation was great as well. She made me feel very comfortable and transparent with all the policies and fees. Not to mention she was also very friendly and inviting on the phone calls. This company is the best. When I move again I will use their service. Thank you again for such hard work.

I would not recommend this company at all. Stephanie was absolute angel to work with. However, we hired three movers and only 2 showed up. We had moved 90% off the household contents to our garage, a move that was supposed to take 8 hours ended up taking 15 (moved from the Foothills to Medicine Hat) Some of our items received damage in the move. My husband and myself have both tried calling, and emailing Ryan and a month later still nothing. We emailed him copies of the photos as well as quote to have a very expensive sewing machine repaired (the movers claimed they thought it was a suitcase and tossed it up into the truck). I have filed a complaint with the BBB, next step lawyers. If you value your belongings, time and money move on and find another moving company.

It looks like this company changes google accounts once the reviews bring down the rating. ~ ~ ~ We had Steve and Chris from ABpro movers come last Saturday to move from our apartment to a douplex. While moving into our brand new home, there was a hole nocked into our wall, as well as scuffmarks and divots in the stairwell. They also got black grease on my new white lazyboy sofa. I was told they would be in touch regarding the repairs needed. It has been over a week, and the company will not return my calls or emails. Severly disappointed in the responsiveness of this company. I understand these kinds of things can happen while moving, but I was surprised when the company dodged my phone calls and emails all week.

I received some quotes from a few moving companies. While the amounts of hours on the quotes were all the same, Alberta Pro Movers was the best priced. I had some correspondence between the office and myself prior to the move and Stephanie was always more than helpful. The movers arrived on time to the minute (which was great as I was being charged for the elevator rental). I was packed and ready to go which I'm sure was helpful but the three movers (Jacob's crew) were friendly, fast and were careful with my items. Even though they are paid by the hour, they were quick and no items were damaged. Would reccomend Alberta Pro Movers to anyone needing a moving company.

I just completed a local move with AB Pro Movers. Stephanie was great to deal with for booking the move and had lots of helpful advice. When the team arrived on moving day, they all introduced themselves to me and were very polite and well-organized. They laid out runners to protect my floors and wrapped every piece of furniture in a moving pad and taped it for a perfect landing at my new place - a big thanks to Jacob, John and Val for doing such a great job taking care of business. Spectacular service! Josh and Bill did an amazing job with our move. They took excellent care of our belongings. Took on the "fun" task of dismantling/reassembling our Ikea furniture (a service they do offer). Were very efficient and thorough, despite the -20C weather we had that day. They were polite, friendly, and took great care to lay down runners & clean up after themselves. I would happily use them again. I should note that Stephanie, who booked my move, was very informative and friendly. A great company you won't go wrong with.

We were SO impressed with how professional the team at Alberta Pro Movers was when they assisted us with our move recently. We dealt with Stephanie in the office leading up to moving day; she was clear about the process we were to expect and made the booking experience simple. On moving day we met Adam and his team. They were careful to ensure our belongings were protected, were very polite and followed through exactly on their plan to relocate us nearly 8 hours away. We have no complaints at all about our experience.

I strongly commend and recommend Adam, Keith, Troy and Jess. They are very accommodating with my request, never complained when it was -30degC outside during the move and were very careful and thoughtful in protecting the house and the items itself. They would wrap my items with cloth or place cloth over railings. If the move was unsafe, they would let me know what can be done and never tried to over do it. I would say they deserve a big fat raise/ bonus as they represented the company well and were hardworking.

We used this company to move an entire retail store into a temporary space. They were so professional right from the first phone call! They came and assessed the move, we had a quote within 20 minutes emailed to us and they were all so friendly. Amazing!! We've moved twice with Alberta Pro Movers in the last 8 weeks and had our furniture stored with them too, and we can't say enough great things about their level of service. I was worried about picking a mover with a lot of the stories you hear from people. But this company and the guys were excellent. They asked questions, moved everything with care. Move was from Calgary to Camrose. They were there on time and had everything packed in two hours. They drove to Camrose unloaded and we're back on the road again within two hours. Best company in my eyes and would used them again in a heart beat.

Calgary Movers were amazing! I needed to move from an apartment to a house, and the home closing wasn't later than the time I needed to move out of the apartment. Calgary Movers picked up my belongings from the apartment, stored it at their facility and then moved it on the day my house closed. I would not have had two stressful moves without them. I will definitely be using them in the future and highly recommend them.

Just moved recently. Alberta Pro Mover was very helpful and responsible. My moving was delay due to the previous client, however, the manager and the team leader were always keep me up-to-date their progress and reassured me that they will definitely help me move on that scheduled moving day no matter what. The company confirmed my move a few hours after calling them. The crew was punctual at both ends and their handling of my things showed how skillful these guys are. We had a wonderful experience with Alberta Pro Movers. We moved offices downtown and they were extremely efficient, friendly, and very well adept at handling any unique requirements that arose during our move-out process. We had a lot of valuable equipment to move and it was a pretty big undertaking and they were able to do everything on time and on budget. I would recommend them for all your moving needs.

Booked them a month in advance, and morning of our move we got a call saying they will not show up since two of their vehicles/crews are out of town and the third is out of commission. Despite this being their problem of poor fleet management, we got no help from them afterwards scheduling at the last minute replacement movers and were evasive in returning our deposit. The did a good job. Not good when they estimated the time, initially said 3 hours and ended spending 10. So be aware of add lots of contingency when you get an estimate from them.
