I visited the Canada Post location at Bonnie doon and was “helped” by Linda and Marry Anne. I had several packages to mail and did not know how to do it. The sales associate Linda provided no help, simply pointed at the boxes and told my friend and I to move aside, which I understand so she could help others. We went to the corner table and Linda asked us to move aside because we were making customers feel “uncomfortable” while she proceeded to help a man without a mask. At no point did any customer actually ask us to move. We went back to the cash register to pay and Linda was incredibly aggressive, rude and short with my friend and I. She told me had I chosen other boxes it would have been cheaper, but provided no help or guidance, which is her job. Before I paid she informed me how long it would take, I asked if there was a faster way to which she responded we are in a pandemic and everything is delayed, and said some arbitrary number like it would be $90, she wanted us to leave as fast as possible. My total was $86 and I would have paid extra money to get it delivered it faster had she not been so dismissive of each question I asked. Finally I requested a fragile sticker for all parcels, to which she replied there weren’t any. She said we would need to write it down, and before I left I reminded her it need to be all on packages to which Linda replied “Do you not trust me?” I felt humiliated throughout the entire process, I have never seen such a high level of unprofessionalism and total disregard of customers. I will be taking by business elsewhere for the future, Linda and Marry Ane could benefit from customer service training.
I am Nirmala, resident of Edmonton, I have been using 162, Bonnie Doon postal services since the beginning of early 1990s with no complaints or issues. I found Ann Marie, manager, her loyal, dedicated staff , Leslie, Chantal, Melissa, Julia and other part time and casual helpers have been providing exceptional customer service day in and day out. I have been to other postal outlets and I am confident and very happy to say Bonnie Doon postal staff has many strengths such as, their excellent time management skills, no matter how long the line ups are, how busy they get, how many different types of postal needs the customers have on any given day...they have been providing very good service with welcoming smiles on their faces. I did see and notice on some occasions in the past 40 years, very few customers were rude, abrupt , demanding and unreasonable to the most hardworking, loyal, knowledgeable and well trained Bonnie Doon postal staff, I did feel it was unfair, I truly do not agree with the saying " Customer is always right." Any employee who works in the retail industry deserves respect, empathy and gratitude from customers from all walks of life. However, I have noticed many customers who access Bonnie Doon postal services including me are appreciative and grateful for the services we get . I wish the owners, managers, pharmacists and the postal staff the best in 2023 and years to follow.
The lady at the counter was VERY RUDE and condescending. Customer service is absolute garbage at this office. Will NEVER go back. I am a small business owner just starting out and am still learning the shipping process with my business account. She rudely handed me my business number and said snappily "next time you give this to me first BEFORE i do anything else." another canada post said they can look it up with my phone number. i then asked how much shipping was for my package because it differed than my original quote , out of plain curiosity and she snapped at me and said " thats how it is and how its always been." OK THEN, didnt know id get my head chewed off for asking about information I needed. If i ran my business like that I'd have no customers. If i could give 0 stars i would.
I carried a 55 pound gift through the parking lot, down the hall, into the mall, down the mall, into shoppers, to the post office… just to have them say “sorry, post office is closed!”. So I check my phone…. It’s 5:01pm when they closed at 5:00pm? And they had it all shut down which means they didn’t close 1 minute ago. They even had the black line rope closing off the post office from the rest of the store. So, I had to carry it back out of shoppers, down the mall, down the hall, through the parking lot… get into the vehicle and drive 15 minutes to get to a post office I knew I could trust. One minute. Even if it was 2 or 3 minutes… customer service anyone? Just attitude.
The lady puts me on hold for 10mins,and then someone picked up the phone but saying it is not the post office so he transferred me to the post office department but then someone answered telling me it is not the post office department. They transferred me again, the lady i first talked to answered. Me asking how's her day going,if they're busy. She said yeah and asked me sarcastically if she can put me on hold so she can assist her customer. Question is,AM I NOT A CUSTOMER?!didn't even ask why i called, geez!
These woman should be fired honestly... They have the WORST customer service skills I have experienced in a long time. Not only are they rude, but they openly have disrespectful convos amongst themselves in front of their customers. I literally walked out in the middle of mailing something because of the nasty vibes they give off. This has been my SECOND experience with them... Any one looking to use postal services should just take the time to drive out of their way. Terrible service.
Courier left a note that our parcel would be at the post office for pick up. When we went to pick it up, the lady was not helpful and could not find the parcel. She was very rude and had a "I don't know what else to tell you" attitude. She told us to call back again and when we did, she was even ruder than she was in person. We are waiting for medicine and it seems as though she lost our package and does not care. She has offered no help and has simply brushed us off.
As per most Canada post offices, poor customer service. My parcel was sitting in a pile of stuff that was being brought in from the truck and I was about to leave on a trip so I needed it but she refused to take a quick look through and grab mine. If Canada post had a system like every other carrier where you could waive the signature online then I wouldn't have this issue.
Horrible service, they were out mail forwarding forms and so she just stood there and told me I had to go home and do it online Instead of printing a form and giving quality customer service. then I tried to do it online but it will not work so I phoned the support line and they tell me I have to go into the post office in person... What a flipping joke!
Poor training: the counter staff are quick to blame the client if a customs form QR code scan doesn't show up in the system but are unable to explain why this might occur. One assumes that if a QR code is generated by Canada Post then the user is not at fault and should not be subjected to a grilling by uninformed staff. This has happened three times.
It's really unfortunate that I have to go back here so much because the associates don't know how to read a Suite # on a government issued ID. Apparently only the manager has an email, and the option of fax is a non-option so enjoy visiting this place a ton when you have to get anything done.
Highly recommend coming to this location. I have been a regular customer here for the past year, and can say with certainty that every single employee is friendly and goes above and beyond for you. Leslie is FANTASTIC, but really everyone at this location is amazing and deserves 5 stars.
The staff here are always great! They do their best to move through everyone as quickly as possible. It can sometimes get a little busy, so be prepared to wait sometimes! They have a small counter in the side where you can place pre paid packages which is always nice! Very convenient
Had the pleasure of being helped for Chantal and it was the best experience I ever had inside a Canada Post. Explained some postal services for business I was not aware of, plus she was a very pleasant person to talk to. Changed the perception of service at Canada Post for me.
It was a terrible experience, the worker had a fun of my accent. She was full of attitude. I didn’t respond her there after that I have reported her to Canada Post. Well, the customer service representative didn’t take my concern seriously on the phone too.
Every workers seems to hate their job and I am always met with rudeness. I actually had to tell one of the ladies not to speak to me in a tone. I don't know who peed in their cheerios, but these employees need some type of attitude change.
Terrible experience. Totally rude woman laughing at me when I asked a simple question about a service I had never used before. Continued to be rude throughout transaction. One of the worst experiences I gave ever had in retail!
The lady I got was very helpful and kind even though the post office was very busy. But of course, there is more than one person working there. The other lady was less patient but as I said it was very busy and crowded.
I came to pick up my Amazon order on last Wednesday, 26th July afternoon, the lady that served me was very nice, friendly & polite. I wish I know her name to thank her for providing such friendly kind customer service.
Postal lady was very rude. Not only to me but other customers. This isn't the first time either. She's an older lady with short curly hair. I suggest not to be rude to customers trying to get their mail on time.
Not sure why there are so many negative comments. The ladies that work here always seem friendly, cooperative and quick under the circumstances the past few years! Keep it up ladies!! …
Do you like proactive, personalized service? Well, that's what I receive at the Bonnie Doon Post Office. Leslie and the rest of the team there really go above and beyond. Kudos and thank you!
I was shocked at how rudely the woman working at the Post Office spoke to me, reading the other reviews I see this is a normal occurrence. I will never use this Canada Post location again.
When I go into a post office, I don’t expect to be wowed with customer service. But this lady is really something terrible. Prepare yourself before entry with a nice big deep breath.
Canada post has to be he worst delivery service on the planet. Attempt to deliver at 11 am, and now I need to wait more than 24 hours to pickup my package? Complete garbage.
It s like talking to a wall even if you tried to explain your situation they don t get it. Lots frustrations.
Good customer service. Helped me with my parcel this evening and was knowledgeable about products and prices.
Super friendly and fast service. Not sure what the other reviews are about. Absolutely no complaints here!
Leslie is the best employee - so kind and helpful! Give her a raise!
Came at 7 pm. They are closed with no explanation!
Sales repLinda was rude to address my concern.
Very friendly staff.
