I would give it a zero if I could! The staff at this post office are unprofessional, rude and arrogant, they absolutely don't know what they are doing, they don't know even Canada post's policies and the computer system. I'm talking about the 3 ladies there. I have being going there for 3 years and every time I face an issue with them for the simplest transaction, when I explained the situation, the person I spoke to did not seem to care and simply reiterated the understaffing issue. their tone is condescending and highly unprofessional. Instead of taking the time to check their system for solutions or ask a supervisor or simply say I don't know , which would have been quicker, they feel the need to lecture me about patience and tell me that's how it works. Im currently overseas to undergo a surgery, in the meantime my mail forwarding was about to expire, so I followed the procedure stated by Canada post on their website, paid for the service and I received an email to confirm my identity with instructions how to do so,including a signed authorization form to my friend who will present it to the PO clerk, and a barcode and my physical driver's licence and the reference number and the email I received from Canada post and a video message from me confirming my identity plus I was on a video call (whatsapp) with my friend while he was there. The clerk their told my friend that "they don't do that"! When he pressed her then she said " we do ID confirmation only to receive packages" mind you I was a video call with my friend still , he ask her if he could give her the phone so she can confirm my identity, she said No I won't talk to him, it won't change anything" If that lady only did read the authorization letter and the Canada post email she would of process the ID check easily. Because every thing is writes in BOLD. She didn't even check on the system. But she chose to ignorant and not do her job. 2 hours later, my friend went to a different post office and they got it done with no issues or drama, because all the ID Verification requirements were met. Since I started going to this post office I had nothing but disappointments and poor service, to the point that I hated to go pick up mail or parcel from their. I honestly think this particular staff should be fired immediately, just follow the reviews and you will see. The worst post Ofiice in Edmonton
Terrible service!!!! The woman tried to charge me for sending a package, when all I needed was international postage! Her claim to fame is " you can only send documents in an envelope anything else becomes a package" This is what Canada POst has to say about that Size requirements Print this page Each Lettermail™ item must meet our size and weight specifications. There are two main categories of Lettermail that determine how much it will cost to send your item: Standard Lettermail (50 g or less) Other (Non-standard and Oversize) Lettermail (0 g to 500 g) Minimum dimensions for all items are 140 mm x 90 mm x 0.18 m m (5.6 inches x 3.6 inches x 0.007 inches). If your letter is larger than the maximum dimensions below, you must use our Parcel Services. Standard Lettermail (50 g or less) Use a single stamp for items that are in the standard weight and size range. Minimum weight for: Standard - 2 g Maximum dimensions 245 mm x 156 mm x 5 mm (9.6 inches x 6.1 inches x 0.2 inches) Other (Non-standard and Oversize) Lettermail (0 g to 500 g) Oversize or Non-standard size envelopes and postcards will cost you more (see Prices [PDF]). Minimum weight for: Non-standard - 3 g Oversize - 5 g Maximum dimensions 380 mm x 270 mm x 20 mm (14.9 inches x 10.6 inches x 0.8 inches) Any item that exceeds the maximum size or weight of Non-standard and Oversize Lettermail no longer qualifies as Lettermail And here is a wonderfull list of things that can be sent using regular postage and NOT sent as a package Letters, cards (including postcards), or similar communications and self-mailers Annual, semi-annual, or quarterly reports Receipts or invoices (or similar documents containing financial information) Notices of voting for federal, provincial, or municipal events CDs or DVDs (you must submit these to us for testing and approval) Flexible magnets Dry biological specimens (see ABCs of mailing for how to package and wrap items) Any other mail you choose to send which meets the applicable qualifications What I was trying to send was smaller and lighter than a CD! The woman tried to rip me of and justified it with their rules. ATROCIOUS!!!!
If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. I have been experiencing numerous issues with Canada Post in general, and it has become quite frequent. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to use this service as I have no control over the senders of the items I receive. The local Canada Post office is consistently understaffed, and while I understand the frustration of not having enough personnel, it is concerning to see this become an ongoing problem, especially considering the federal funding involved. During a recent incident, I called to inquire about the delivery of a package after receiving a notice at my door. I had been waiting in my living room, which is right next to the front door, for the package, and I can confirm that the postal service did not ring the doorbell or knock. It's important to mention that there were four people present in the house at the time, and unfortunately, this is a recurring issue. I want to clarify that the staff at Clarview PO does not have control over these matters. However, when I explained the situation, the person I spoke to did not seem to care and simply reiterated the understaffing issue. Although the person's tone remained calm, it came across as condescending and highly unprofessional. Instead of taking the time to check the package's associated number, which would have been quicker, she felt the need to lecture me about patience.
I just went yestrday over ther for send an emergency courier as fast way..regarding my baby s visa( passport) i told them i wanna send this as fast way which will go fast...they talk so rudly and said all the mails go same time...than i said i dont want mail ,i want to send this as courier, she yeiled on me and ask can you please explain what is courier , i feel so embarssing , than i said which one go as priority base as fast compare to mail.. than she start laughing and start making fun with her co worker with eyes ..i feel so bad...thn she just forcely send that as regular mail...very bad customer service...they dont knw thier job...you should check the cameras , it happened on 21sep between 6.30 to 7pm
It seems that the courier/Canada post has lost my package, or perhaps it is being held or out for delivery- impossible to tell as the tracking information contradicts itself. I came in to ask if we could locate the package. An older lady with blonde hair and glasses printed out a form from yesterday and read me the same notes I have on my phone. I asked if there is an update today, as this information is contradictory. She re-read the same thing, just louder. I asked again if there is any update today. She said (while pointing to her shirt) " I work for the drug store, not for Canada post or for you) Lady... you should be ashamed of yourself
Staff at this Canada Post office are nice and professional and deserve higher rating than above. The delivery people, however, are anything but professional. If your package weights more than a single pancake, they will just leave a note to pick up your items from the post office rather than carrying your items to house/door. Twice they called me from downstairs to come get my items or else I will have to pick it up from the post office. But most of the time, they will just leave a note and not even bother knocking on your door because such action will require bringing the items TO the door.
I've been going to this post office for over 20 years and have always had great service. Until today. I guess I shouldn't have tried to ask if there was someone else who could come and help as there were 7 people standing in line. And the way I was treated when I was finally served was even worse. Throwing my parcel on the scale, then throwing my tracking receipt across the counter..... I'm really hoping the 'regular' staff come back because neither one of those clerks should be in the service industry!!
Just had the best experience at this location! The staff were so kind and friendly and all around awesome people Charity and E (I can't quite remember how your name was spelt and don't want to bungle it up) you are amazing and I wish the best for you both! Highly recommend this post office as my experience at them are rarely anything other than frustrating and this one was just lovely. Thanks again, girls! 10/10
Highly recommended. I am a Beekeeper and my store has shipped many items, including live bees, through this small but efficient location. I have never had an issue with delayed delivery dates, damaged items, or dead bees on arrival. The staff has always been very accommodating and friendly.
I would give it 0 stars if I could. Attendants are incredibly rude and discriminatory towards people of color. They will also treat you poorly of you're wearing a mask or ask where is the hand sanitizer. The counters and the floors are really dirty. DON'T GO HERE.
They ask you to hold for a sec and they're gonna keep you there forever. This is the second time it happened. The first time I called it took me almost 15 mins on the line and 2nd time almost 10 mins. I am also a customer who needs service.
Mail not on time, waited for half an hour and was just told to come back tomorrow.how inconsiderate. And they even said it’s not their fault if their mailman wrote on the note available after 6 pm.
All the ladies here are polite, professional, helpful and amazing. Seems like most bad reviews are about problems that are beyond their control. I recommend this outlet above any other.
I've been sending a package for 18 days and it's Christmas Eve and the package hasn't made it on time. Santa's not even real and would have delivered the package faster
Fantastic service from the staff. Got in a sticky situation and the staff helped me out tremendously with an exceptional attitude. Highly recommend!
Most expensive place to send a letter or parcel. I will not do business there anymore. Staff is rude and does not listen to there customers.
Went there to buy stamps and posted off my mails smart staff working at the post office that knows what to do
Charity should learn how to wear a face mask properly. I suppose you only need to protect your chin.
Very helpful and great to deal with. This pretty much refers to all my visits there.
