We want to give a heartfelt thank-you to the Cedarbrae Veterinary Clinic staff, who have cared for the love our life, Maggie, for the past sixteen years. We want to give a very special thanks to Dr. Wong, who showed compassion, guidance, and care to our dearest Maggie, especially during the last four years through her journey with chronic diseases. We thought we were going to lose Maggie back in 2017 due to Pancreatitis, but Dr. Wong’s care gave her four extra years with us. Dr. Wong was so exceptionally good with Maggie (and us) through every challenge that came along. She then helped stabilize Maggie throughout her battle with kidney disease and was there for us every step of the way. Every pet owner should be able to feel this same sense of trust in regards to their pet’s care. Unfortunately, our dearest Maggie’s time came yesterday and she went to Doggy Heaven. Despite the utter heartache that we are feeling, we feel so blessed to have been apart of the Cedarbrae Veterinary community, and couldn’t have chosen better care for our perfect pup. We cannot recommend them enough!

Our senior cat began to develop some health problems in the last year of her life and she spent a lot of time here being treated. The front desk staff were always very kind to us, and the vet was very clear and kind when we spoke on the phone. We did have some issues near the end of her life, particularly in being able to have Dr. Wong give us a call to discuss palliative care and end of life options - we played about a week of phone tag which was frustrating for us given the fact we had a sick family member, but when we did have the call Dr. Wong was very kind and gentle with us. We did not have our cat euthanized at this clinic as we wanted to have it done at home, but the clinic staff did send a beautiful flower arrangement and condolences card which was above and beyond expected. I now live outside of the area, but I would recommend this vet for your fur family in a heartbeat;The cost of treatment was reasonable, and we didn't doubt that our kitty was getting the help she needed during our time working with them.

I have been dealing with Cedarbrae Veterinary Clinic for a very long time. Staff are friendly, helpful and know the names of each patient who comes in. You are notified for up coming appointments (scheduled/unscheduled) and pet insurance is dealt with. The Doctors at Cedarbrae Veterinary Clinic are understanding of your feeling, which is important as pet owners; and most importantly, their patients - our pets - are treated with respect. If or when changes are made or suggested for the well being of your pet, the Doctor explains what needs or is needed for this. If you're not clear about what is being suggested, they will try and make it clearer for you to understand. This veterinary clinic has a positive atmosphere. You truly have a "paw in hand" experience.

I brought my dog there for a check up during Covid and wasn't allowed to go in. I wasn't told not to leave the parking lot. I was told it would be 15-20 minutes so I went to the drive through at Burger King across the street with my kids. The vet called and my daughter answered the phone. She proceeded to yell at my daughter saying its not a daycare center and that we would be charged a fee because we left. Being advised of this would have been nice and the fact that she yelled at my daughter was very unprofessional. Needless to say we never return and never will. The last time I checked, I'm paying for the service and that is not worth paying for. The Bellamy-Lawrence clinic was worth the switch.

I am very pleased with Cedarbrae Veterinary Clinic. They treated our baby/dog, Patty Dukes, with care, tenderness and compassion. They were good with me and explained her illness in a very understandable way, laying out the options for treatment very clearly. They did the needed emergency surgery very quickly and efficiently, making me feel much better about the hard to take situation. They clearly explained Patty's aftercare and gave me written instructions for her care, which I followed closely. Patty Dukes is doing just great now, and I very much thank the surgeon, veterinarians and staff of Cedarbrae Veterinary Clinic for saving my baby/pet. I recommend this Veterinary clinic to everyone.

I have been taking Bella to Cedabrae since she became part of our family. I can honestly compare the differences between Doctors who actually care about your pet and doctors who want to upsell another dose of vaccine or check up. Cedarbrae vet is amazing, I appreciate the warm welcome, care for my Bella is simply amazing. I have been to hospitals that are run by big corps both regular and emerg, it was always about money and upsell. Here at Cedarbrae I’ve always received proper advice and guidance, only recommendation best for Bella and most of all empathy. I honestly cannot ask for a better veterinary hospital. Dr. Lavioe and his staff looked after our 4 dogs over 25 years. Sheba, Sam, Echo and Mimi. The staff over there are kind and supportive, most of all they show their love and enjoyment to each animal that came in the clinic. Dr. Lavioe is detail, caring and experience, his diagnosis is always accrued, and he wouldn’t hesitate to send my dogs for a second opinion when he sees necessary. My last dog Mimi died yesterday, she had been sick over a year; it was Dr. Lavioe’s special care to grant her an extra year of life. My family and I would like to thank Dr. Lavioe and his staffs’ supported and their extraordinary care to Mimi. Cecilia, Ed, Justin and Janice young.

I have been taking my dogs to see Dr Lavoie and the Cedarbrae Team for well over 15 years, and I cannot say enough good things. A team who definitely cares, goes above and beyond for the clients they serve. They always provide a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for all. I have been going to this clinic since it first opened many years ago. I followed Dr Lavoie from his first practice with animal welfare over 20 years ago to this clinic when he started there. My two dogs and cat have all passed through the hands of the staff at Cedarbrae and I could never imagine better care out there. Always compassionate, gentle, professional, dedicated and, above all, loving. Nothing but good things to say about this stellar vet clinic and their staff.

Dr. Lavoie is the best vet I've ever been to. He intuitively understands animals and their behaviour and is amazing at communicating with people too. My cat and I liked and trusted him immediately. I have learned so much about handling my cat like best way to trim nails, best way to get him into the carrier and other things I never knew even though I've had 7 cats before. At my last visit, I learned how to hold him in a way that lets me brush his teeth. :D

Very caring veterinarian, technicians, and support staff. They took us on short notice just before the holiday season. Medication was prescribed to get us through the holidays until we could find an appointment for an ultrasound in the new year. Options for various treatments were discussed considering alternate scenarios based on the possible diagnoses. Parking can be tight, but we snagged a spot in front. There was no wait, and we were seen immediately.

After the passing of our previous vet, we had to find another for our sweet 3-year old Maltese-Shih Tzu, Mickey. From the initial call to our first visit, all the staff were so kind and welcoming. The vet we saw (Dr. V. Shen) was very sweet and informative. Our appointment was thorough and the vet answered all our questions. Thank you for making our experience enjoyable. We look forward to many more years of taking Mickey here for all his health needs.

The staff at this clinic are the best. Dr. Luc Lavoie never ever makes me ever feel rushed and he genuinely cares about my labs like they are his own. He doesn’t treat me like I’m just a number. I trust his opinions wholeheartedly. I would never ever seek to get an opinion from any other clinic. Their prices are good. I recommend them to anyone I meet who is looking for a vet. My husband has had several of his colleagues switch to Luc as their vet.

Great vet clinic, relatively cheap costs and friendly/accommodating staff. I took my girl here since she was puppy. My pup got her spay done here and recovered quickly with no complications. There was also an incident when she ate a glass shards she picked up on our walk. I had an x-ray and consultation done here. They prescribed her some special food and medication to aid in her recovery. I trust this clinic for my pup and you should too.

I have been visiting Cedarbrae Veterinary Clinic for my pet care for the past 18 years and have nothing but good things to say. The entire staff is very friendly, helpful, professional, and they truly care. Bravo to the doctors, especially Dr. Lavoie, for taking care of all the pets as if they were their own. Their prices are better than competitive and do not test unless necessary. I highly recommend them for all your veterinary needs.

Our beloved cat Khalo was old and ill and we decided to have him put down. Cedarbrae was so understanding and gave us an urgent immediate appointment. Khalo died before the medication was administered so they didn’t charge us but still gave us a free bag/blanket to take him home in. And then they followed up with a sympathy card. Such a beautiful handling of a terrible situation. I couldn’t be more grateful for their kindness.

TLDR:idk vets are tricky. I got my family a puppy! My advice to new dog owners who need to get their dog through their first set of vaccines, if there is anything the vet recommends that isn’t essential, just nod and try your best not to pay for it. There is a part of me that wishes I didn’t get our baby girl spayed and female neutered, and I say that because they scared me, and I quote “ before it’s too late”.

I’ve brought all three of my dogs to Cedarbrae veterinary clinic for many years and have gotten nothing but professional, Friendly and accommodating care… I do not trust anyone else when it comes to my pets care. It is hard these days to tell what's going on because no one is allowed in. You give your pets at the door and they do what they need to do and then you pick him back up. They gave me medicine and told me about the tests. So far so good. This is my first time there for my new kitten Pepper. I will be going back for all of his needs.

Took my 16yr old dog here last month to put her to rest. The vets are very compassionate & I got to stay with her which was difficult but meant alot to me. I was sent a card with a plant delivered to my door. I have been going with my pets for 35 yrs & been very pleased with the diagnosis & fair pricing.

Our usual vet wasn’t able to see us soon enough for an eye concern and thankfully Cedarbrae was able to accommodate us that day. The staff were all so kind and Dr. Wong was great in assessing the problem and addressing our concerns. Highly recommend and would definitely bring our dog back in the future.
