Highly disappointed in the service we've received for our pug which has been rapidly decreasing over the past few years. Our recent visit a few months back, we were told that during his checkup that he had a slight ear infection. Upon the vet's suggestion, they sold us an ear medication which ultimately cost our dog a good portion of his hearing. His hearing was perfectly normal when we took him in and after a period of time, we noticed he was not responding the same way he would. When someone told us our dog seemed like he was deaf, I looked up the medication only to find out that the VERY FIRST WARNING for the product was hearing loss! If we would have known this, we would have asked for some sort of alternative or sought another opinion. After calling the vet today, they told me that we could bring him back in to be evaluated, but only at our cost as they would not be waiving any fees for something that would appear to be negligence on their part. We've been bringing our pug into this vet for nearly twelve year and yes, there's been a lot of change with this place. We should have stopped coming a few years ago when they prescribed him a flea / heart-worm combo medication which was on the recall list which almost killed him. Now this happens. I'm done! It's abundantly clear that they have put the care of your pet aside and are only out for your money. This place is probably one of the more costly locations in the city to begin with. The service has not matched the inflated cost, so we'll be gathering our records and going to another location starting today.

I have been coming to this vet for several years and if I could give "0" stars I would. First I was told via the phone after an echo test that nothing had changed with my dog but then the doctor said sorry that was for another dog your dog has gotten worse. No further information was given but he will need medicine and you can come pick him up. When I arrived for pick up I was given medicine with no info on side effects, what was going on with him, what was the plan for the future. I asked for the vet to come out since this was so concerning to me. She came out for 2 minutes tops and seemed so annoyed with me for taking up her time. I questioned the girl at the front desk what was the medicine for and she came back and said oh your dog is in heart failure. no further explanation. When I got home I reviewed the report from the cardiologist and it said the dog was not in heart failure. I followed up with the office manager and she told me "the vet is having a bad week" I went for a second opinion in Brooklyn and I am thankful. The new vet spent 30 minutes going over everything with me, explaining what was going on, changed the medicine and did an extensive exam. Horrible service to say the least for my dog and myself . I will never return to this vet and neither should you!

My experience with DR Solomon was horrible . He took an Xray of my 5 month old Golden retriever puppy as part of a first routine visit. He then said that he saw a spot which most likely was bone cancer on one of his ribs on his left side and that he could take that rib out. He then scheduled a biopsy. When I picked up my puppy he was so scared he vomited and had diarrhea on the sidewalk outside his office. The biopsy wound was on the right side of his body. Dr Solomon charged me over $1000 for a biopsy on the wrong side and then refused to discuss the case or make any retributions. I immediately took my puppy to the animal hospital where they took one look at the Xray and said anyone could tell that there was nothing wrong. My dog is now 8 and has never has any health issues. In the dog community I continue to hear many similar stories, where he unnecessary puts the animal through unnecessary surgeries and treatments.

We brought a puppy home August, 2016. We conducted an informal survey. 1/3 of our neighbors use Park East, 1/3 of our neighbors go to CVC and 1/3 go everywhere else. CVC had slightly better on-line reviews so we went with CVC. We have been happy with the vets we have seen Dr Herman and Dr Leonard. Many of our friends and neighbors also use Dr Herman and Dr Leonard as their primary vet. Our furry baby has had great service/treatment at CVC. Dr Herman has since move to his own practice. We will take our fur baby else where. Dr. Herman was the draw to CVC. We are looking at Lenox Hill Veterinarians, Park East, Upper East Side Animal Hospital, The Human Society, Barbara Kalvig, Sutton Animal Hospital, University Animal Hospital, BarkDog, Vetpronto, Cindy Bressler, Manhattan Veterinary Group, Biscuits and Bath, New York Veterinary Practice, Yorkville Animal Hospital and Animal Clinic of New York.

I have been going to Center for Veterinary Care for well over 20 years. Dr. Schwartz was amazing with my dog for the 14 years I had him. I would only let Paul (Schwartz) take care of my dogs. Dr. Greene did a surgery under my labs eye to remove a growth and what was typically a risky surgery is Dr. Green’s specialty and is the only vet I would use for this kind of procedure. My cat was given 6 months max to live and Dr. Dundee and Dr. Solomon have been amazing in keeping her alive and comfortable for 2 years now. The Center For Veterinary Care are amazing with your pets and treat them with TLC like no other vets I have gone to. Dr. Schwartz loved my dog as much as I did and when I eventually had to put him down, Dr. Solomon was so gentle and loving during the process. Love the staff and vets here and wouldn’t recommend anyone else with my furry family and friends. They are the best!

Bad memories seem to inextricably linger on with me. A woman in central park the other day with her dog asked me if I knew of a good, caring and reputable vet. She mentioned she was using Veterinary Care on East 75th Street and she felt she was being treated like dirt.. I recoiled immediately at hearing the name of the place and for good reason. One of the doctors there back then is still there today, I learned from the distraught lady. The doctor who attended to my dog would not give me the results of some key T4 (thyroid) tests. -- until after she died. The office also extracted 14 teeth, as I recall from a lady's miniature dog in my building, without first getting consent for the surgery. Run don't walk when you hear Center For Veterinary Care. Smartest thing you can do.

Dr. Herman is THE BEST. Honestly. This was the best vet experience I've had in the 9yrs I've had my dog. I've been going to another vet on the UES for the last 6yrs, but haven't been happy with the service for a while now (also impossible to get last minute visits for emergencies that come up which is ridiculous). I called Center for Vet Care and immediately got an appointment. First, the front desk folks were the most fun and friendly people. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Herman. He is awesome. He actually spent probably 30 minutes talking with me about the skin issue my dog was having, all the possible solutions and next steps. Super knowledgeable and caring. I absolutely recommend this place.

Center For Veterinary Care is the absolute BEST! They are second to none. I highly recommend CVC both locations- Millbrook and Manhattan. They take such great care of our Highlander German Shepherds and two cats. I can't say enough about their level of expertise, knowledge, compassion, and phenomenal care. I am extremely selective as to who I will entrust to provide care to my beloved animals. I have complete trust and faith in the CVC veterinarians and staff! Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Roellke are the best. I am so grateful to have such fantastic/top notch veterinarians to care for my puppies, dogs, and two cats. Fees are very reasonable. My mother has taken her dog to Center for Veterinary Care for over a decade, so when I moved home to NYC, I started using them,too. I have a 6-year-old cat and a pandemic puppy, Dr. Leonard is great with my cat Bella I am very helpful in managing her health and behavioral issues. My puppy has several health issues and the vets are very responsive—they explain things clearly, they have user-friendly hours, and I know that he is getting excellent care. Dr. Solomon is his primary vet; however, all of the vets are top notch and, if Dr. Solomon is not available or is not at the clinic on a given day, I know that Pugsley is in good hands with whoever examines him.

I have been bringing my dog for over a year, and I noticed that each visit they charge me more n more.they prescribed medication he didn't need and was almost $300 I called back and they removed the charge. When it was time to get him neutered I called to get a price for the surgery... I was given range of $300 to $800. I went in to see why such a gap in price... After they looked at my dogs name n address they told me $1000 to $1600. They didn't know I called earlier. Outrageous.... I would look elsewhere for service especially since humane society charge $150 for the same operation.

When I went to pick up my dog's records which they did not want to give me and they were mine from 10 previous years with another vet Nadia the receptionist gave me the records minus 9 pages and I knew it because I had a copy of my own and when I called to say that pages were missing she tells me that the only pages she didn't copy were blank and did I want those? Very rude and not honest place . The worst place to go when the front desk is rude like this you should run for the hills

It’s was terrible standing in the rain I don’t understand why they can’t put heat lamps and a plastic shield around Canopy so people could be more comfortable in this very snowy and cold winter just like the restaurants of them I don’t understand why such a great team of veterinarians would not put electrical heaters and a plastic curtain around the awning so people could be more comfortableOther than that you are all a great bunch of veterinarians and you’ll have a great staff

I've been taking my dog here for a few years. We started seeing Dr. Schwartz and then Dr. Dundee, and we truly like them both. Dr. Dundee is especially caring. In all of our visits - in person or even reaching out over the phone to discuss chronic issues, she's always been prepared, ready to listen to our concerns, and has been very practical and professional with the care. I am so glad I found the practice, and especially since Dr. Dundee has joined it.

Thanks to the Dr.'s (Greene & Nims) and professional staff (Nadia & all the other wonderful girls up front) at CVC for all that you do for Stormy. I feel like you all truly love what you do! Every time I come in to see you, both my kitten & I have had such a pleasant experience. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable--I'm really impressed. We moved to NYC ~7 years ago and the practice was recommended by someone local that we trusted. We were told that CVC is potentially on the expensive side. However, we were also told that the quality of the services is excellent. This proved to be accurate. Great quality and great doctors. Shout out to Dr. Leonard who was always takes great care of our pet cat. Even when we moved ~15 blocks away, we kept CVC as our pet’s vet.

The whole staff is friendly attentive and caring. Dr Leonard takes care of our dog in such a professional friendly way. She’s super intelligent and a great doctor. She puts our mind at ease when our furry first child is not feeling well. Dr Schwartz was also great when we had a an emergency. Highly recommend. Cant say enough about how great Dr Leonard is . She is a very skilled surgeon and super caring and amazing follow up

My dog Roxy who was a Wheaton Terrier was a patient of Dr. Solomon's and the entire staff at CVC for the last 14 years. The care she and I received was the best. Roxy had some health issues thru the years that they dealt with in the best possible ways. Roxy passed away last week and they dealt with this in the most sensitive positive way. I thank them all but especially Dr. Solomon, Una and Juney you are all the best!!!

This is a very special place. The doctors are great and the staff is always caring and helpful. They have taken outstanding care of my pet. We have been seeing Dr. Leonard for most of my dog’s life and she is truly amazing. Dr. Solomon also has helped us when Dr. Leonard is not available and has been responsive and taken great care of my pet. I cannot say enough good things about everyone at the Center.

I’ve been taking my shih tzu to Center for Veterinary Care since the middle of 2020. While I have never met her vet in person, I have spoken with them and the staff over the phone during appointments. Everyone I have dealt with is very kind and professional. My dog gets incredible care. The process of bringing your pet to the facility and checking in and checking out is seamless. Highly recommend.

I have 3 cats and I love this vet clinic. The staff and doctors are terrific. They go above and beyond in taking care of your furry companion and carefully explain things to you. I’ve taken my cat and then dog to CVC for MANY years, have primarily worked with Dr. Solomon who is great..an excellent diagnostician, a compassionate and caring vet as are Dr. Leonard and Dundee. The support staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clean. I’ve travelled from one end of town to the other to get my dog the best treatment and it’s been with Dr. Solomon.

My pet was a first time patient and I could not be happier with the service. The intake process was extremely organized and every employee I came in contact with was very kind. They are kind and friendly. I asked them a rabies titer test and health certipicate for visiting South Korea. They did it very well. Even though my cat didn’t pass the result, so she’s gotta get it again in Korea. And people should wait outside when their pet meet the veterinarians due to the COVID19.

Dr. Solomon is a professional, caring, responsive, superior vet that I trust my precious pets to. Another plus is there are tech's 24/7 so if you have a problem and call, you reach a live professional human being and not a recording that tells you to go somewhere else - that's important to me.

I take my dog Lily there (She is just over 1 now) and I have to say Dr Leonard is amazing!! She is always super helpful, makes my dog feel comfortable, is patient and I never feel like i am being overcharged - like i do at most vets! Will continue to go here now and in the future.

I brought my cat here today and was very disappointed. It felt like no one really knew much and the entire visit felt very disorganized. I also didn’t feel like they cared about my little girl and had only her best at heart.

The entire staff is excellent. I took my terrorist of a toy Yorkie in for a USDA approved travel certificate on a somewhat short notice and everything went smooth. I cannot express more appreciation for this clinic.

Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. They answer calls, fill prescriptions as needed, and call with results when they say they will. I wish my doctor did any of those things.
