I would NOT recommend this vet. The receptionists are so rude an unhelpful. It's like you're bothering them by asking them to do their jobs. For example, they couldn't even get us a prescription for pills for our dog who just had surgery (elsewhere) in the same day. My husband ha to make a fuss for them to do it. They also misdiagnosed his torn ACL. At first, they said it was hip arthritis when really he had a torn ACL. They made us do pointless expensive x-rays to verify this. The specialist that did the surgery in Montreal said that x-rays weren't necessary. "A good vet should of known right away." They also informed us that they x-rayed the other knee when they didn't need to and when we asked them not. There are numerous other examples. Overall, they are unsympathetic, unwilling to accommodate, and simply do not care about the animals. This vet is all about money and nothing else. AVOID!

Dr Kent Rozon has been my vet since 1992. He is very open and honest with me about what is best for my pet's care. (I have had several pets during the 30 years I've known him.) He has helped me through some very tough times, he really cares about people's pets. Dr Wayerfield is the female vet and she is excellent as well. All of the staff at Chapel Hill are fantastic! Amy, his assistant, has always gone above and beyond the call to help me out and make the tough visits and decisions easier. I highly recommend this clinic over any other one in our area and beyond. In the photos you can see pictures of my Pomeranian Cujo with both long and short fur. He was an Emotional Support Animal and has just left this world at 13+ years of age. Dr Rozon and Amy have helped me through this tough time and are now helping me with my new kitten and puppy!

I have been taking my family of pets to Chapel Hill vet for years now. I have always loved the atmosphere and the care/service we receive. This week I was worried about some stitches on an incision from my pups neuter that looked inflamed. When I called I received a same day appointment. When we saw the vet Dr. Rozon, whom I had never met before, he took the time to explain to me what was happening and took some extra time to clean up my pups incision and sent us home with a spray to help heal the rest of his incision. He was very kind and patient. As an appointment that was last minute, as I was probably fit into the schedule, I was very impressed with how thorough the care we received was. When this clinic says they will include post neuter care if necessary included in the surgery fee they mean it! Thank you!

I had a few scheduling issues which ended up delaying my dog's surgery and she went into heat before her spay surgery. I was a little upset about this but when I re scheduled after her cycle, without asking, they charged me the same amount as it would have been the first time. When I first came in to drop her off, the bill was higher but at pickup, they had remembered me and my dog and reduced the price. I found that very nice of them to do that and felt good leaving there knowing that they had remembered me and my dog and not just treated us like a "number". I would recommend them for sure. I am not giving 5 stars only because of the scheduling mix up months ago, other then that, they are super nice and treat animals well.

2020 update - OTHERS I know did have past bad experiences (and me as well), so it what it is. I've had many visits since then and quite frankly the first time back, I felt not getting another bad review was what was most important lol. Since then though the STAFF is great, they're all awesome. The problems of the past seem gone. The prices here for shots are WAY cheaper than others - one place was going to charge me DOUBLE what these people were (to pay for their new SPA)! It's like anything else in life, there's good and there's bad lol I haven't had a reason to complain about this place for a while lol. specially with covid they were GREAT. If I could give a half star to the 3 already I would.

We do our checkup and shots with a different vet at home for convinience and we are met with this ultimatum that if we want trimmings for the nails we must do everything with them (not a cheap vet btw). Not only that, but many times when we tell them we are only coming in for one thing at a discussed price over the phone they try to do a checkup and charge us more in addition to up-charging the only thing we came in there for. If this place wasnt convinient for my family I doubt we would ever come. And it leaves me thinking if it is their management directing their snarky staff or simply bad employees or choice of them for that matter. They definitely need a company or policy change.

Have been bringing our two beagles here for many years now. We just suddenly had one of them deteriorate with cancer over the course of 3 weeks leading to us having to make the difficult decision to help her fall asleep for good so that she wasn't in pain anymore. (sorry for that part). What I do want to communicate on here is that the staff has always been fantastic, however in our toughest moments they went above and beyond in how they cared for our dog. When we were having a really tough time with this whole process, they were all empathetic and sympathetic to our situation. We couldn't of asked for better service. Definitely recommend.

I used to praise this vet to everyone until I had a special needs dog dying and they would not fit me in . I was crying on the phone and there was no sorry, nothing ...just go to an emergency vet. On top of that when I got my 3rd dog they didn't give her deworming or check her stool even though I asked them shouldn't they . They said no just give her heart guard . 4 mths later I find out she has worms and so do all my other dogs now . I found this out when I switched vets . Will not be taking my dogs back , or any pets in the future . I also find they always over book and u end up waiting and then rushed .

Is 0 stars possible? These vets were not there when our dog got sick. Did not even provide an option. They upsell everything to unknowing customers. Now during covid you are supposed to go out front and knock or call. So I went to pick up the 500 worth of meds we definitely dont need and sat waiting for 1 hour. I had already paid for the meds and was just there to pick them up. Good service quality is usually to under promise and over deliver. Chapel hill vets over sell, over promise and under deliver. They need to either hire more people or reduce their patient load. Simply terrible service

New puppy in December. I have gone on 3 occasions since and all have been an excellent experience, especially considering the challenges COVID restrictions bring to us all. Vaccines delivered, skin infection identified and prescribed meds - since cleared up, and future appointments and estimates clearly explained. Staff has been super helpful to me, a new dog owner, and I have felt zero pressure for any upswell or extras that are available. Very satisfied and grateful to the staff and services. Worst place this vet takes your money and does not give you a clear response. We called to see how many day it took to know when a dog is pregnant and they told me 2 different days one on the phone and the other at the appointment. They said they can’t say if she’s pregnant they did not do blood work or ultrasound. At the appointment she would be 45 days. They took 80$ they said it was a consultation but we did not get any answers. It’s not been the first time that this happen and I’m over this vet !!!

The Chapel Hill Veterinary is by far the best vet I've ever had. The staff is very friendly, and very accommodating will all animal personalities. (My cat is very nervous when leaving the house, but she always calms down once she see her Veterinarian. She is also the only person my cat will let pick her up, she does not like being carried at all.) It is a VERY clean, and comfortable business, and I would recommend it to any one and everyone who had pets.

The receptionist was super rude, condescending, short and impatient. We called in because we were concerned about our dog (had some questions) and wanted to book an appointment for a check up. She sounded more annoyed with every question we asked. Really not the attitude we were expecting for a family worried about their dog & definitely not a good look on them. This is our second experience like this,...we will be looking into changing clinics.

Our girls jade the dog and bailie the cat are in safe friendly knowledgeable hands at chapel hill vet clinic whether they are going for check up or in jade's case bladder infection and dental work. Both where detected before becoming too serious as the staff listened to my concerns and followed up on testing. doctors there checked and reacted to jade's needs. I have full confidence in them. And am so grateful for these fine animal lovers.

Great experience & friendly staff members! I was able to book both my kittens at the same time, which is lovely as they are pretty dependent on each other. The vet was so helpful with food recommendations, she was so sweet with them during their apt for vaccines & even demonstrated how to properly trim nails on one of them and let me trim the others as she watched to ensure I was comfortable to trim them on my own at home! :)

I would highly recommend Chapel Hill Veterinary Clinic. They have always provided us with top-notch care regardless of how busy they were. When we recently had to say goodbye to our kitty on very short notice, they were extremely accommodating. I want to thank Dr. Waterfield and her staff for treating Waffle with such gentleness and dignity, and making that heart-wrenching experience the smoothest it could be for our family.

Refused to sell me dog food, unless they saw dog. Its food and not to mention the most expensive dog food on the market currently, not like I'm buying it because I want too, I have too so my dog doesn't you know die... It's ridiculous that you wouldn't sell me dog food, we just moved back to and were looking for new vets, guess we aren't choosing here. FYI my puppy was a patients there over 10 years ago prior to us moving.

Dr. Waterfield is amazing. She was so gentle and patient with our senior cat, who is normally so scared of people he doesn’t know. She paid close enough attention that she even referred to him by the nickname we have for him. She was very kind to us as well, breaking some unpleasant news carefully and letting us know she understood how difficult it is when an animal companion isn’t doing well. Wonderful vet and clinic.

Terrible experience here with our new pup! From not knowing which vaccines he was due for, to neglecting to diagnose conjunctivitis in his eye after four consecutive visits ($) and brushing it off as it being his third eyelid even though it was very swollen and red. By the time we caught it it has spread to both eyes. The front desk ladies are very rude and the vet as well. Take your fur babies elsewhere !

I’m giving them a 5 star rating because the staff is superb however they get a one star for poor management / ownership . The doctors need to hire more staff as they have people waiting long periods of time outside which is unprofessional. Hire more staff if your busier than ever jeez. Good business dictates this but maybe they are trying to save a dollar but they require more staff!!!!

I've been a client of Chapel Hill vet with my cats for many years. Dr Malleck is so amazing with cats - she's so calm and reassuring. I've never had an issue getting an appointment nor have I every had any issues with service. They also charge very reasonable prices for all services and don't recommend extras if they're not needed. I would recommend this clinic to anyone with a pet.

Have always had great service, reasonable fees and have dealt with several of the vets over the years. I also really appreciated when they suggested a consult with an external vet specialist. Turns out my cat's problems stumped even the specialist and so we had to go to Montreal to DMV Vet. You can't ask more from a vet than that they know when it's time to send to a specialist.

Staff are rude and unprofessional especially the receptionist. Everytime I call or go for an appointment she has a snotty attitude, after going there over the years I finally found a new vet who is very professional and kind, and the prices are good, unlike this vet who charges way to much! Now my pets feel comfortable going to this new vet which is such a relief!

Chapel Hill has been my veterinary clinic for over 25 years & it’s the most caring clinic I’ve ever gone to. Dr Rozon & his team are compassionate & caring & they treat your furry family member with care & poses excellent knowledge. I’ve gone through final goodbyes here & they were sensitive & supportive to the entire family. Highly recommend this caring clinic.

See Dr. Mallek and was referred by a friend. Prices are super affordable. And shes so sweet and very caring and helpful. Shes an amazing vet. Staff are amazing explain everything to me and give all my options. Allow me to choose whichever I prefer. Used to travel for my dog needs to Hull and it's no longer worth the travel

If 0 stars was possible, they would get 0 stars. They basically let our dog die and did not take her for urgent care. If they had taken care of our puppy, we would not be grieving. They clearly stated that they took urgent care but that was just a blatant lie. Don't lie and be better next time. RIP Victoria 2016-2021

I take my giant dog and two cats to chapel hill, and they are always professional and awesome with the animals. The staff are helpful and informative and allow you to make informed choices about the health of your pets. Would recommend to give them a call if you get a new friend!

I have been coming here since my dog was a puppy! The entire staff is very friendly and they are super accommodating for appointments as well. I drive 30-40 mins to come here every time. Thank you from myself and Jagga for always going above and beyond for us.

I understand you provide a service that pet owners need but perhaps the staff could mind their attitudes and learn about customer service. We pay top dollar for your services and there are multiple vet clinics in the area that we could take our business to.

Been going for a few years, but recently had an appointment where all my questions were left unanswered, with a disinterested vet. Felt more like a "get in get out" rather than a place that cared for my pet. Past years were good, recently no. 2*

The vets are honest and caring and the front staff are knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful. I've been taking my pets here for 20 years and have been extremely happy with the care they have received. Great place - highly recommend.

I've been taking my pets to Dr. Rozon for over 10 years. In emergencies, I've also seen the other vets, who have been great also. The staff are very friendly and always able to fit us in when something comes up.

We are long term clients, we are always treated as the last of the priorities. We are never squeezed in when we have an emergency, we find ourselves searching for emergency clinics that accept new ptients.

Took our Kirby to see the vet for the first time (with us). They were great with the parking lot administration. They took Kirby in for a check up and his shot. Very professional and friendly.
