I understand being the only cafe really open on a Sunday in the area means things might be delayed but waiting 35 minutes for coffee, having already eaten our food with no apologies was inexcusable. Not only that but the waitress literally served our table this drink completely overflowed with no recognition or apology. The food was decent (although $38 for a big breakfast and $23 for soup) but the service was so bad it did not make up for it. When we questioned when we would get our coffees there was never an apology only ‘I have no idea, we are busy’.

Came in for brunch with my husband and hungry toddler. Asked for a highchiar twice and waited patiently for 25 mins before I gave up and went in search of them myself - grabbed one from behind 3 or 4 staff members and no one asked me why i was there or if i needed help. Food took 50 minutes to arrive and toddler was beside herself hungry and tired. Food very mediocre and overpriced for what you get and when we went to pay we were ignored at the register for a long time.

Absolutely dreadful. We stopped here on our way to mountains to feed the kids. Babychinos were warm milk. Scrambled Eggs on toast took a good 30 mins and they were burnt. Staff were uninterested and borderline rude, as if we had burdened them. Had to wait 5 minutes at the counter to pay and after all this as we were about to leave the door, one staff interrupted asking if we had paid. Here is a hint, maybe if you pay more attention to your customers then you won’t need to ask them if they had paid at the door

I was really looking forward to my breakfast this morning and I was so disappointed to be charged $12 for this. The eggs tasted of nothing, they were really pale and the toasted sourdough was soggy through (and it wasn’t from the eggs). I think they fry the bread, I’m not sure. For a place that charges $30 for a big breakfast, which I think is way too expensive, I was expecting my meal to be decent. The young staff were friendly but really unorganised. I saw other food come out and it all actually looked really nice, so maybe I was just unlucky today.
Was slapped with the 20% public holiday surcharge when it was time to pay at the front counter, the waitress never mentioned it when ordering!! I guess read the menu fine prints... I asked for their parma, waitress advised it was sold out, a couple came and sat after us and ordered two parmas, both were served after we had already ordered and received our food.... Very disappointing service. Food was good but everything else was terrible, would not go back!

In a cold and blustery day, walking into this quaint cafe was a like walking into cosy inviting room. The decor was partially what made it inviting and the owner's beautiful welcoming attitude was the catalyst. This coupled with the well presented food made the experience a great start to what turned out to be a memorable day in the hills. The attached photos are flat white and long black coffee's with the porridge and the smashed pumpkin. Food was delicious, long black coffee ordinary and a bit too bitter(maybe its their machine).
Lovely spot to stop for some food and a coffee. Vegan meals were delish

The scrambled tofu was hands down the best I have ever had. Beautiful balance of herbs and spices which gave the dish an explosion of flavour, highly recommend, even if you aren't a tofu fan, you will be pleasantly suprised.

Great vegan options for drink and food
The venue is nice, and the food ok (not amazing but reasonable). However, the service was bizarre - the fellow serving us seemed almost to be wanting us to apologise for inconveniencing him by our presence there, zero engagement or interest. And the other staff we interacted with were only slightly better - rather than feeling welcomed as a customer, it all just seemed a bit of an annoyance to them.

The Cherry Tree cafe is the first stop every time I visit Healesville. I may be biased in saying it but the Cherry Tree Cafe's French toast with extra berry compote and maple syrup as well as chantilly cream together with an English breakfast tea is always my go to order. All the other dishes look just as yummy but I just can't get past the French toast for a Saturday brunch!

We had brunch at Cherry Tree Cafe with 2 other couples. Our reserved table was ready for us on arrival. The staff were very friendly and helpful in taking orders and delivering our food and drink. It was a very lively atmosphere on a Sunday morning. The menu has great variety. We all enjoyed our meals and the coffee was also very good.

Excellent food. The food was good highly recommend eggs Benny. The cherry special coffee was eh its just felt like a expresso shot it didn't feel like anything special. Apart from that great little Cafe some of the add ons are a bit expensive for what it is namely the chorizo being 8 dollars for a tiny portion. Thank you for brunch.

A straight 4 stars as we love the food and the ambience. The staff are friendly and provided us the bigger table as we have 9 of us. It's a pets friendly restaurant however customers with their lovely pets are to sit at the rear. Would suggest to book (not sure if booking allow) as the place gets busy during peak period.

Nice place located on the main road. The food is slightly more expensive then other places (one soup 23 dollars). Also waiting time can be longer then average and coffee ok but not the best. The place was half empty, I asked to seat on one of the many empty tables close to the window but waiter insisted to seat facing the wall close to the counter. So not big fan of service

Had We had coffee here made from past use-by dated, sour milk. Staff maintained that they could use it "even 2 days past the date" !!? The dates on milk cartons states "use by" not "best before". It is against health department regulations in NSW. Victoria is no different according to my Melbourne cafe manager daughter. Won't be back.

Cherry Tree provides a pretty solid brunch / lunch offering. Love the fact these guys bake their own sourdough bread for the breakfasts; its these touches that show an extra level of care. Coffee was decent and the environment inside was really comfortable and contemporary. Particularly noted that tables inside weren't squished and packed in but you had room to breathe and enjoy yourself. Friendly service.
Had breakfast this morning here, staff where welcoming and polite, food was delicious, they know how to make a great coffee Will definitely be back next time we visit the area.

The food was very expensive for the quality, just bland like a servo bagel. Could have done a better job at home for less money. I could see into the kitchen from my table and saw the chef wipe his nose with his hands and continue making food without washing his hands. Gross. Don't waste your money.

Fabulous cosy cafe and managed to discover it half an hour before closing time which is 3:30pm. Great coffee made from the beautiful copper coffeemaking machine that was made in Italy and one of four in Victoria. Delicious in house made biscuits and slices. Very pleasant staff. Would love to come back for a meal if passing through Healsville again.
Came here for lunch, ordered 2 BLTs, a salmon Benedict and a crab linguini. The linguini blew me away! Great flavours and aroma, and the quantity was so BIG, already felt full after eating half of it. However the banana honey smoothie was too watery and the chips was too salty. Customer service was great and friendly. Overall a very good experience
Really Deep impression meal. This is my first time dining to enjoy Cold Drip ,all the essence is condensed in Tiny glass bottle then blend with Syrup grab a richer aroma☕️ I am from Melbourne first time to this lovely place, I think the whole town they Served Highly quality food then others.

Nice little cafe on the main street. I ordered the calamari with chorizo which is quite nice. The salad and dressing just have the right amount of acidity and sweetness from the calamari and mayo. We ordered some carrot juice and they’re fresh and natural. Excellent lunch and location.
Top notch chips! Service was ok - waiter couldn’t remember who ordered what. The BLT we had was huge and good. But not fond of the menu. Coffee was good.

Great dog-friendly cafe! The courtyard is nice and spacious, great place to take a break and grab a bite. The crab linguini was fantastic, lots of flavour and a good amount of spiciness too.

Nice cafe in main street. Pet friendly on the front footpath, or in the rear in the garden. Fire place inside. We loved the food. Pleasant twists on cafe staples. Well done! Wheelbarrow of dog treats for your pooch.

Coffee was a great starter for our breakfast, then followed by the food. Out of all the cafes we've eaten in, this one nails it with the most wonderfully done poached eggs on our sourdough toasts. Loved the fireplace plus the rather dreamy-like interior.
Delicious food & good value. Serving sizes were quite generous & presentation was very good. Garden dining was very peaceful and staff were all friendly and attentive.
