Our 4-night stay at CityBlue Creekside Hotel & Suites with half pension was enjoyable. The hotel boasts an appealing appearance, and the generously sized room was aesthetically pleasing. The swimming pool's view of Mombasa Island and the river was a highlight, creating a pleasant ambiance. Adjacent to the pool, the bar played relaxing tunes throughout the day and provided food and drinks, making it a convenient spot. While most of the staff were friendly, their assistance was occasionally lacking in effectiveness. The hotel's cuisine was satisfactory, though finding diverse gluten-free options for breakfast proved somewhat challenging at times. During our stay, we encountered a concerning issue with small cockroaches both in the bathroom and occasionally in the room itself towards the end of the day. We promptly informed the staff upon our arrival as we spotted them immediately. They assured us that they would address the problem and sent someone to deal with it. While they did apply some treatment to eliminate the existing pests on the floor, unfortunately, the issue persisted over the next few days without further action being taken. We also saw a coackroach in on the buffet breakfast cakes. Furthermore, the restaurant service proved to be quite sluggish. To adapt, we had to request our food well in advance and keep ourselves occupied at the pool while awaiting our meals. Regrettably, the staff's knowledge appeared insufficient to effectively assist us with queries regarding the city or local transportation options.

Me and my son (3 years old) visited Mombasa during festive period of Eid. I was lucky to have booked my stay at this hotel. It is very well placed location wise, close to the city yet away from all the busy life of mombasa. The conveniency of reaching city centre in a matter of minutes. The staff members were very hospitable. Ahmed at the reception with a warm and welcoming smile, always cheerful and helpful. Ali from house keeping, very attentive and thoughtful on how to ensure our stay was amazing. He made sure the the room is spotless even though my son would make chaos right after. The GM (Siraj) is very kind hearted and friendly. Made sure we got the best room for Dad and Son. Always ensured that our needs are attended to. The breakfast was really good, I enjoyed the variety offered, especially the local cuisine feature of Mahamri and Mbahazi. From myself and my son, I would like to say thank you to CityBlue Creekside (Team) for the hospitality and making our trip to Mombasa absolutely amazing. See you again soon.

Das Hotel an sich ist ganz schön aber das Management ganz mies. Es wurde eine Hochzeit veranstaltet neben dem Pool direkt vor den Zimmern. Der Pool war deshalb den ganzen Tag gesperrt und die Musik mehrere stunden ohrenbetäubend und scheppernd. Die Fenster der Zimmer bieten quasi null schallschutz sodass man sich auch im Zimmer kaum unterhalten konnte. 19.00 war es zu Ende und nach dem Essen wollten wir ins Bett weil Ruhe eingekehrt war. Im Zimmer angekommen drehte dann die Bar auf einmal auf, die auch direkt vor den Zimmern liegt. Ohstöpsel haben nicht gereicht für die lautstärke. Und in der bar war quasi niemand, die musik war scheinbar für das personal. Auf meine beschwerde hin wurde es leiser gedreht, so dass ohrstöpsel wirken, aber um 2 uhr nachts nochmal extrem laut. Nie wieder dieses hotel, nicht zu empfehlen. Schade, unsere letzten beiden Tage vorm langen Rückflug wurden sehr getrübt. Außerdem stank eins der Zimmer stark nach schimmel. Und wegen der Hochzeit war die Küche und das Personal so ausgelastet, dass für Hotelgäste keine Ressourcen mehr übrig waren. Die guten Bewertungen kann ich mir nur so erklären, dass das Gäste von Veranstaltungen sind oder dass es während der Woche ganz anders ist.

It was a great place to stay. Great rooms and very friendly staff. I was unable to get hot water (shower) for the three days I was there. They did try but didn't manage to get it hot. Also I told the cleaning staff to come after 5 minutes to clean my room when they came to clean and on both days I went swimming and came back more than an hour later and my room hadn't been cleaned forcing me to go look for them to clean. Otherwise it was a great stay - I was on bed only so I did not try the meals. Great location, friendly staff and secure. I would however say that they need to be aware that some guests are there to rest and so playing music by the pool from around 11 am (that could be heard from my room) from might be inconsiderate of people who would like to rest. I didn't mind it because I was working but if I was looking for peace and quiet it would be a bother. I would recommend staying there and I would definitely visit again.

Went here for a company event. Conference facility : The conference room is big enough and is quiet. Architectural concept : The place oozes Swahili architecture with doors and the general architectural concept being predominantly Swahili. Location :The location is next to the ocean after Nyali Bridge. To access it, you have to turn left unto the slip road after Nyali bridge and go under the bridge Food and hospitality :The food was great with good hospitality. Price :Price for bed and breakfast ranges between 6000 and 20,000 depending on time of the year Verdict : Would recommend.

Die Zimmer sind schon recht verwohnt. Der erste Eindruck bei Ankunft nicht umwerfend. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auf jeden Fall. Aber mit Balkon und schönen Blick über den River. Das Essen am Buffet war wirklich gut . Nur beim a la card essen mussten wir ziemlich lange auf die einzelnen Gänge warten. Hierbei hielt sich das Angebot in Grenzen. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals macht so manchen Mangel wieder wett. Der Pool wird regelmäßig gereinigt und es stehen genügend Liegen und Handtücher zur Verfügung. An der Poolbar gibt es gute Cocktails, auch alkoholfrei. Der Standort ist optimal für Ausflüge.

The structure is beautiful and nice but the staff/employees are not doing justice to it. Poor customer service/relation The rooms are not clean. They are stuffy. The food is nice but they are very limited. The buffet lucks in selection. Personally I didn't have a pleasant experience there.

Lors de notre séjour à l'hôtel Cityblue, nous avons rapidement qu’il était vieillissant. Nous étions simplement de passage avant de partir en safari, donc cela suffisait pour notre besoin immédiat. Cependant, il est important de noter que ce n'est pas l'endroit idéal pour un séjour prolongé. Notre chambre n'était prête que vers 16h, ce qui était un peu tardif, et la porte de la chambre avait du mal à se fermer correctement. Malgré ces petits inconvénients, nous tenons à exprimer notre gratitude envers Britney et Marion pour leur service aimable et leur aide pendant notre séjour.

They have the friendliest staff on the planet. They have rooms that have the view by the sea is which is just breathe taking. You can chill by the bar sipping your favourite cocktail or just a soda, where you can experience both the pool and the sea as the breeze kisses your skin you can dip inside the pool to cool off the warm climate. Possibly the best place to have a vacation, business or recreational.

Terrible place so filthy and disgusting. Our room was open when we arrived, then nothing was cleaned only new towels. Walked bare foot in my room for about 5 minutes and they turned black!! Then bathroom was just dirty and limescale everywhere where lock on bathroom was broken. To top this all off found a sewing needed on the bathroom floor. Not exaggerating at all and will never be back. 15 power cuts in the space of 3.5 hours

A great hotel located next to Nyali Bridge , has got some amazing ocean view at night , their rates are fair too for what they offer interms of room and food quality. It's convenient if you want to stay close to Mombasa old Town CBD. The only disadvantage is it doesn't have a beach but you enjoy their pool facing the ocean.

Location, room service and staff of the hotel are absolutely amazing. Food is delicious and room service for late arrival travellers is available. The room could have been better as the toilet did not flush well. We stayed just for a night, but good to explore as they have pool and beach views

My wife and I were there for two nights on business. The great thing with this place is that it is next to the sea, no beach though. It is a nice place when you are on business because of its proximity to the town centre. The bed and beddings are clean, food is tasty. Nice place but management can do better.

I looved everything about this hotel. Its beautifully made,the view is fantastic, the rooms are big and spacious, the Staff i give them a 10/10 they are extreme friendly, they are helpful and act soo fast.(my next room neighbour was playing loud music,i called the reception and they responded immediately) .its worth it the price the location. I would definitely come back .

I loved my weekend here. It is very convenient for town events due to its proximity while still giving a view of the ocean. Polite and helpful staff and waiters. I can't appreciate enough how much they accommodated me and my infant with our extra requests. Great water pressure in the showers. Clean pool Great food. I would definitely come back. Keep it up.

My husband ans I stayed there for 4 nights and it was awesome. We had a blast and the staff was very helpful, polite and professional. The rooms were spacious and clean. I loved the view at the creek side, it was amazing. The pool, the ambiance, the food...we had an amazing stay at City Blue. We will definitely come back

Nice pool with bar to chill, but it took ages to get there anything to eat (45 min waiting for a salad). Room was really nice, but sink was sticky and dirty. In the room was only one spoon (and two of us) and nonother equipment. Bedsheet and towels changed daily. Nice service, helpful stuff.

I got a warm welcome at the reception, my room was spectacular awesome thanks to Agnes she is the best for giving me such a nice sea view room. Beautiful place, with clean surrounding. I was here for a wedding. Limited number of toilets especially for an activity on 2nd floor Creekside, you have to go-to 1st floor. Lift would be appreciated for the old and people with disability. There should be raised bars to prevent children from possible fall.

Located at the creek by Nyali Bridge. Ideal for business travellers. They have a competitive weekend package going for 1200 for two meals and for swimming for two children (see photo below for food options). Their pool is small and I think suited for children to spend the day. Staff are friendly and I saw a gym whilst on my way down to the pool - curious to give it a try.

Poor cleanliness as they are not to detail and also some rusty joints require replacements. The food is delicious though Great Ambience and friendly staff though seems overwhelmed by the high number of visitors. Quality service is key to customers coming back. So it is not worth the charges. Great garden area to relax as you view the ocean near the creek....

The staff were really amazing... The only thing that put me off was the drain pipe smell and the rooms had a musty smell. The staff saved our Kenya holiday after being scammed twice, thank you for that!

Well, it is ideal place for someone in a budget. Rooms are super spacious and WiFi is reliable. The best thing is the view of the ocean and accessibility to other places. There is a swimming pool, big restaurant space and ample parking. Staff are all great and ready to assist. What shocked me was the old rusty bathroom lock. Generally it is nice place

Well-located hotel for a holiday in Mombasa. Breakfast and staff are lovely. No sun from 2:40pm as a big building is near by. More tours could be offered. More pest control too… a few cockroaches in the bedroom. Please tell children not to jump and run in the swimming pool. Quite crowded.

Hôtel vieillissant mais correct si on est pas trop "regardant" de près. Pour la demi pension il serait préférable de ne pas utiliser les réchauds à fond, car la nourriture fini par carboniser et être trop salée à force d'être réchauffé. Service bien, mais très long, personnel jeune en manque d'expérience. Réceptionnistes très bien.

Not very good. We had power outages every 5mins that made the elevators unoperational. The hotel was dark and one could hardly walk in the hallways. The rooam assigned also had a foul smell.
