***UPDATE: Received an email a couple of hours after I posted this review. Stated they never received any notice about my dog's death. If this was the case, I should have gotten a call for the yearly appointment last year but I never did. Leaving the review as 1 star, it shouldn't take a bad review to get a response.*** Used Dr. Bala for my last dog (he was seeing this vet prior to me getting him so I figure I will keep the same vet). My dog died 2 years ago and they were advised as his yearly check up was due around the same time. They called me this year (what happened to last year) to say my dog (that has been dead for 2 years) is due for his annual appointment. I left a voicemail message AND sent an email regarding this and received ZERO response. They have the nerve to call me 2 years after my boy died (even though they were advised) and when I respond, they don't even acknowledge that they made this error or to even apologize? Thanks for reminding me that my boy is dead and showing me that I did the right thing by using a different vet all together for my new boy. As for Dr. Bala, he seems like he knows what he is doing but is only nice to you if you don't ask questions. If you ask anything remotely medical (i.e. you work in a medical field so you ask something specific related to a disease etc) he will not respond, he shuts down and just talks around the topic. I recommend you go elsewhere if 1. you want a vet clinic that can keep their files organized enough to note that a patient is dead, therefore no longer requires an annual exam reminder phone call or 2. you want a vet that is able and willing to answer harder (more medical) questions.

We took our 10 month old kitten to Cloverdale Veterinary Hospital. Our experience was horrible and resulted in us taking our kitten to an Emergency Vet. Our kitty was happy and healthy. We were taking him in to prepare him to be neutered. We were not allowed to enter the clinic because of Covid which we understood. A day after getting our kitten back it was clear that he was sick. His energy was low, he stopped eating, he had diarrhea and had lost weight. He is an indoor cat that had no interaction with another animal after visiting Cloverdale. The owner refused to admit that the clinic could have done anything wrong even though they had not investigated the matter. When I asked if he had spoken to the technician or assistant responsible for cleaning the crate that my kitten was kept in, he said that "it did not matter." I write this review as I'm waiting for the Emergency Vet to assess my kitty. Hopefully, he is okay. It would be easier if the vet provided more details of what happened but we have been left in the dark. For an expensive service you should expect more then what Cloverdale provides.

We've only been with Cloverdale for about a year, but our journey with this vet clinic has been nothing short of a lifesaver for both our lil doggo Levi and our peace of mind. When we first walked through their doors, we were nursing a frustrating situation that our pup was experiencing. Here, they don't just diagnose; they genuinely explain issues in a way that makes sense to us. They patiently walk us through all the possible solutions, never jumping to surgery as a quick fix. We endured numerous failed procedures to treat very stubborn and unhappy anal glands, but the Dr. Tamara & team at Cloverdale never lost faith in finding the best path to recovery. When the tough decision for surgery arose, they recommended an outstanding surgeon, ensuring Levi was in the best possible hands. What sets this place apart, though, is their compassion and personal touch. Appointments are scheduled promptly, and they're always there when we have questions or concerns. Thanks Cloverdale team!

I will seriously never leave Cloverdale! They went above and beyond to correct something that was missed by another Vet at a different veterinary hospital, leading to infection and complications with my dog's ear. Dr. Tamara and Dr. Bala were so gentle and kind with my dog, and they were able to extract the foreign object in her ear, even though it was not an easy task. This clinic is Pet focused. every single person working there is clearly an animal lover and goes above and beyond to make your pet comfortable and ensure it gets the best care possible, all while being fair about pricing. If you have been ripped off by other clinics, or your pet has not received adequate care at another clinic...look no further, Cloverdale is the best. I trust this clinic 100% and have visited enough other vets in the city to know that Cloverdale is special.

Over the past 10 years I've been bringing various cats to Dr. Bala for care, and just realized that I've never posted a review! I've consider myself so lucky to have found Cloverdale and Dr. Bala those many years ago. He and his staff have been highly expert, professional, compassionate and humane during all their treatments of my cats. I've used other clinics and hospitals before discovering Cloverdale and although they did a fair job, the treatment and care was no where near the standard of care my furry felines have received from Dr. Bala, his staff and his associate Vets. They take the time to listen, to discuss results/diagnoses and treatment plans to make sure you're fully aware of what is happening every step of the way. Thank you Dr. Bala and everyone at Cloverdale for wonderful veterinary services.

Our 4 cats have been patients at Cloverdale Veterinary Hospital for 5 1/2 years now. Dr. Bala has to be one of the sweetest, most caring and most patient veterinarians I have ever known. He not only puts time into helping our pets whenever they have been ill, but puts time into educating us as owners so we know not only that there's something wrong, but why and how it happened. They are a small (and affordable) clinic, but I feel it's because of that that our pets receive the immense amount of time and attention that they do. I have no hesitation recommending this clinic based on our experiences and a huge thank you to the staff here for their kindness over the years.

Very friendly and amazing staffs . My first time to have a dog and I take this place because appointments so conveniently...The doctors so friendly and nice to answer all of the questions ..The receptionists also very very nice and respectful. The most important is the price this place so practical and not over charge..I suggest peoplr who have pets and anyone know this place should refer friends to come here. I love Cloverdale Veterinarian hospital so much. The staff and Dr. Bala are so friendly and always go above and beyond. During this global pandemic I moved in with my sister in Windsor, completely forgetting about heartworm, tick and flea medication. I reached out to the clinic and asked if there was any way they could mail me the medication, and without hesitation they did. I had the medication within 2 days of my sending the payment. Such incredible service, and care. I would highly recommend this clinic for anyone looking for a new vet.

We cannot express our gratitude for this clinic enough! Christian, Dr Bala and Dr Tamara have been amazing since day 1. We came to this clinic at the suggestion of our friend and we do not regret it! Poor service. Booked an appointment a week in advance and and 2 hours before the appointment they called looking for records of past vet visits. I brought all documents for any previous vet visits. It wasn't good enough and when we arrived the vet said it was before a long weekend and there isn't much he could do and wouldn't see us. This would have been our first visit. If you're looking for a vet keep looking.

Dr. Bala and his associates are amazing. They go above and beyond for the pets they treat and their owners. Dr. Bala sat down and explained everything to me as well as different courses of action I could take with my cat and his condition. Prices are very reasonable and within range. These guys are amazing. My dogs teeth were badly infected. They spent several hours on tooth extraction (like 5+). They explained the process in clear detail in a way I could understand. They are well priced and don't gouge you on costs. They answered all my questions and provided excellent care. When i brought my dog home Dr. Bala called after an hour to check on him. They took very good care of my boy.

I can't say enough good things about Cloverdale Vet. Most recently my cats have been cared for there by Dr. Yogo. She is kind and compassionate, and has recommended evidence-based, effective treatments. My cat needed an overnight stay and she sent me updates and even a picture of my kitty looking happy and content. The entire team is lovely - I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Bala and his staff. I have had several vets over the years as a result of living in different cities and I haven't had a vet as engaged and caring as Dr Bala. He is someone I trust with my canine family and their well-being. Additionally, the clinic's prices are reasonable and service by the staff is always friendly and helpful.

They are simply the best vet I have ever seen being disabled my furry friends need attention as well the staff and Dr Bala proved time and time again just how important each and every animal who walks through the door are.. We have been so happy to have Dr. Tamara as our vet. She is so great at explaining treatments, tests, and what's going on with our kitten. She always makes sure to get back to us when we have questions (even calling after hours), and you can tell that she really cares about her patients. Christian at the front is also always so kind and helpful!

I have found this clinic to be the best in the city. Dr. Skocylak is so help and caring! My cats seem to melt in her hands. Dr Bala is great. He will spend time explaining what is wrong and why a certain course of treatmemt is recommended. We worked through some issues with my dog and his skin and Dr Bala spent an exceptional amount of time trying to get to the source of the problem. Very caring.

They do not have the records of the cats that was tagged by them because those cats were labeled by the previous owner of the hospital ? What kinda professionalism is that? Did you let him burn the records while leaving? Bad management as u can say…a no-no

I've been coming here for years and it's because the staff and the doctors truly do care about your your pet. They treat them like they're a member of their family and they don't charge you an arm and a leg. It really is pet-first

I can't say enough good about this place. Our dog was very nervous to go to the vet, but the doctors and assistants were more than kind, patient and caring with Jasper. They really went over and above the call of duty.
