I was left shaken after using Club Cars. I was getting my cat home after a major surgery and the driver at one point blasted the radio so loud that my cat got really distressed and I had to raise my voice to ask him to turn it down. The driver did not wear his seat belt for a part of the journey and when I rang to complain the owner of the company told me that it was the driver's choice and not the law. He drove erratically the whole way and I was frightened for my cat. I wanted to ask him to stop and get out but I had some stuff in the boot and by that time we were in the middle of nowhere. He kept driving erratically and going over the edge of the road. He kept shouting about Christmas lights which was further distressing to my cat. He then said he didn't like it when it was dark (the country road was unlit) because he liked to put his foot down and he couldn't see if the police were behind him when it was dark. He initially said the taxi would be £15 but then charged be £18. I didn't want to argue as I just wanted to get home with my cat. I lied about where I lived and told him to stop. I just wanted to walk away from it. I walked down the road to where I lived and I was physically shaking when I got in. I called to complain but received a disgusting response from the company. They offered a half price (and then free) taxi and clearly didn't understand that I wasn't comfortable using them again after what I just went through. They told me that they fired the driver but they only said so after I kept pushing for answers and reassurance so I am not sure if I believe them. The only person in this company who was empathetic throughout was the operator who was on shift that night. I wanted to call the police because I was worried about other people getting into this driver's taxi but she reassured me that he was taken off the road that night. The response from other operators and the company owner was appalling. I will NEVER use this company again and I will make sure to warn the vets in Whitchurch not to use them considering the distressed caused to my pet.

On Friday we had booked x2 6 seater taxis to take a bridal party to the wedding. I rang the day before the wedding to double check the taxis were booked and to ask how much money each taxi would cost so I could ensure I had the correct money. All was confirmed. On the day of the wedding, I got a text message confirming one of the taxis were en route, I tried to call to see if the other taxi was following as I hadn’t received confirmation. After 10m on the phone, no one answered but the first taxi arrived.. but was in fact a standard car. I asked the driver to phone the office as the car wasn’t what I had requested and to find out the location of the other taxi and to ensure this one would be a 6seater. The gentleman on the phone had no apology for us or the bride and offered no solution to the problem. The driver kindly offered to do x2 trips, which we reluctantly had to accept as we were now over 20m late for the wedding. I am very disappointed with the service we received, we explained the circumstances at the point of booking and they assured us they were able to fulfil the requests to be at the location at 1.20 sharp and x2 6seaters available.

Just before new year (following a missed flight from Geneva which meant my family and I had to take our last option to get back home that night which was a flight to Bristol) we found ourselves at Bristol airport at midnight with no more trains running to London and three very tired kids. The lady at the information desk called a few taxi firms for us, and only one had the space to take us all back in one vehicle. Club Cars came to the rescue! We agreed a price up front and our driver called and let us know where we should meet, and then also sent a text when he was outside. Once we managed to get all our luggage, including my snowboard bag, packed we got on the road. Although we chatted all the way home about Bristol, Isambard, Banksy, families, property etc, sadly I didn't actually catch his name, but based on this experience I wouldn't hesitate to call Club Cars again, should I find myself in Bristol. The journey was around 2h 30 mins, but went by much quicker. Thanks very much for getting me and my family home, safely and quickly! A credit to Club Cars and Bristol! Cheers!

Absolute rip off. £30 from our hotel to the airport when the airport taxis (Arrow Cars) were only £25. Airport taxis that must pay a fortune for their pitch at arrivals. Airport taxis are all newish and clean, Club Cars was a knackered old people carrier driven by a guy who could barely speak English and seemed like he'd never driven a car before, never mind a taxi. Took a strange route round a circle before getting to the main road, tailgated another taxi most of the way to the airport, slamming on the brakes at every junction to the extent that the taxi in front actually pulled over to the side to let him past. Sounded the horn repeatedly either to get past or to alert the car in front it was going too slowly, when actually both were speeding on a 30mph stretch. It was quick, granted but if I could have given this zero stars I would have. Avoid.

Very pleasant lady answered phone for my booking, explained 2 pickup addresses Bedminster and then 1 drop off to Hippodrome, she said that was fine. Taxi was on time fortunately! Text message received 30 minutes before my booked time said on way be here in 2mins, I panicked as was 30mins early, but following the car on tracking it kept going further away. It arrived on time, when I asked driver why I'd been sent such an early link, he said job was allocated to him 1.13pm, so as my pickup was 1.45pm he went home for half hour. Club Cars Total £15, so £2 dearer than Yellow cabs for same journey Yellow cost £12.80, so although it was a good experience, probably won't use Club cars again cost wise. Bristol City taxi from taxi stand only £10.80 return journey, so they are best for your pocket, shame cannot precooked them!

My sister needed to go into hospital urgently . I don’t live near her so I ordered a taxi and said how urgent it was. Club cars sent someone immediately. However, the hospital then called to say they were sending the paramedics and an ambulance so I had to cancel the taxi. He was only 3 minutes away from her address. I offered to pay for his time which he said they normally would take for a non pick up but because of the circumstances and the worry he said he wouldn’t take a fee. He wished my sister a speedy recovery. It made me cry he was so nice. Thank you Club Cars I would definitely recommend you to anyone.

Worst taxi service I have ever used! Two pre-booked cabs turned up. One collected a few friends while the other deserted four of us for a 'higher priority' job. Driver promised another cab would be there in 5 mins, cue 40 minutes of waiting, chasing and being freezing cold and frustrated. Worst part was the outright lies told by the central office saying each time that a cab was just "2 minutes away". It was so inept it felt like they were doing it intentionally. After nearly 45 minutes and missing our restaurant booking we called Yellow Cabs and got a taxi in 5 minutes. Beware of this company!!!

Today I had the misfortune of encountering one of your drivers ,who drove out in front of me and decided then to pull up in the middle of the road and blame me. He was very aggressive and made me feel very threatened this happend at approx 12.15,he then pulled up in front of your offices , I have taken photographs of the car and the driver that I will be passing on to the police,as he was driving without due care and attention and was also very aggressive. I and my family and friend have used your company for many years but we won't any more and I will make sure I will not recommend either

Very Highly Recommend! I booked a collection from Bristol to Yate at 1am on Saturday morning, was given a price over the phone very reasonable, then received a text confirmation of my booking. At 12:30 that night I received a text to say my taxi was on the way with the details of the car, the driver rang me to say when he was outside, the drive home was great the driver was friendly and chatty (I forgot the drivers name though as I was quite drunk!) he charged the exact amount I was given. All in all a quality service and I won't be using any other taxi company in future!

Perfect taxi experience. I hadn't used Club Cars before but after a quick Google and call I was picked up straight away. Imran the driver was great and had a good chat whilst making very good time getting to my destination. I was pleased to learn that Club Cars offer the option to pay by card and also give fixed prices, which helps for those awkward occasions when you don't have cash to hand. I was also impressed by Imran's attitude - no job was too short or too far and I was literally dropped to the door. I will definitely be using this company again.

Booked a taxi with club cars for a 3 minute journey (1 mile) and was charged £35.00. When I questioned this I was told they charge for the distance travelled to the pick up point, not just from the pick up point to the destination. Not being from the area, I had no idea where they were based so was utterly shocked to be charged this much for what would normally be £5 where I live (Cardiff). I also found the male operator was very blunt bordering rude, and that I was spoken to more like an inconvenience than a paying customer.

Terrible service. Booked a taxi to take me to work the night before so loads of notice. Seen on the tracker he was on the way and on time. 30 minutes past the arranged time I rang the office to see where he was and apparently he decided to stop in a shop first to try and sort his mobile phone out??? This was clearly more important then my ride and I ended up using UBER (way better taxi company) and getting to work 40mins late. Chap in office very rude. It’s nice to know that there customers mean a lot to them.

A friendly, helpful driver was at the station when we arrived as arranged. Was very helpful in getting our overwhelming amount of luggage into the van, then delivered us quickly and efficiently to our apartment (which we had never been to before). The dispatcher was most helpful when we walked right by the car when we first arrived, arranging for him to flash his lights so we could find him.

To our embarrassment, got scammed. Got a lift back from a wedding with another couple. They were dropped off in town and charged £19, as per the meter and a reasonable amount for the journey. The driver then kept the meter off, drove us one mile through town and charged us £15 in cash. Embarrassed to say we were too drunk and tired to argue. Avoid this company unless you want to be had

We had Tanya tonight for our daughters prom with her friends, Tanya was amazing, very friendly, professional, she stopped to take some pictures with the girls they were very happy, they turned up in a beautiful red Mercedes, we would 100% recommend club cars, 100% recommend Tanya & would definitely use you again thank you for making our girls evening special xx

Usually I hate getting taxis due to ridiculous fees and ending up being late but with this company I had a pleasant experience. The taxi driver was very prompt and got me to work on time. I was not over charged and was charged the same price as what the man on the phone said it would be. Thank you for a good experience, I would use this taxi company again!

Great taxi company, highly recommend. I booked in advance as I had a very early morning coach I needed to get. Club Cars were the only company I could find that still do advance bookings that don’t cost an arm and a leg. They estimated it would cost me £8 and they were true to their word. They kept me well informed by text, and my taxi arrived 5 mins early.

Have been using club cars for a few months now having just moved into Southville . I am firm believer in supporting local independent company’s rather than huge multinationals like uber etc . Was left stranded in by another firm and Uber “couldn’t connect me to a driver” and I urgently needed to get to the hospital, ClubCars sent a driver straightaway and picked me up in 10 minutes, the driver Hassan was amazing and understanding during my moment of need, will definitely be using them again!

Terrible service + VERY RUDE!! 45 mins late to pick up when phoned after 20mins apparently I had to call once I landed??! This was never mentioned on booking! The whole point of booking and giving flight details is so that we dont have to wait and the taxis ready for you. Operator was very rude.

Great. Booked car the day before, it arrived 5 minutes early, with a phone call from the driver saying he was there when we were ready. I also received a text message with the car registration number. The journey was quick, the driver using many 'back doubles' to avoid traffic lights.

We used Club Cars on NYE to take us both to and from a party. Great service from both drivers both very curtious and polite. Service was even more improved when Imran, returned my phones to me this morning which I'd thought had been lost. Turned a bad start to the year to a great one.

SHOCKING!!! Booked the night before to get to the train station and it was 20 mins late!!! Their excuse was slippy roads and bad traffic! Neither one of those were true!! Really POORLY organised!! When you book a taxi the night before you EXPECT it to be on time!!

Organised in advance for a driver to pick me up from Arctangent festival (fernhill farm) at 1pm. I was waiting early at the pickup point. Found out an hour later, after I called them, that my driver had cancelled my trip without letting me

They didn't even send me a driver and still took my prepayment. Booked through Minicabit. NOT RECOMMENDED. Minicabit refunded me after they found out what happened. That's nice for Minicabit, but I'm still very disappointed about club cars.

Don’t book for an airport run! I live quite nearby and booked to go in the middle of the night - had to call driver because he was late and when he answered he was half asleep. Driver was aggressive towards me at the end of the journey

I booked 3 lots of taxis for 15 people, over the course of 2 days. The service was great and the taxis were on time most of the time. Would highly recommend. Not giving 5 stars as the price is sometimes a bit much.

Cheers for nothing. Arrived late combined with some ludicrous driving and then having the audacity to charge me extras on the meter when you were not entitled to do so. You must have thought I was so gullible.

I called for a taxi. They said 20 minutes. Taxi didn't arrive after 40 minutes and when I tracked the cab it was heading out of town. At this point someone else called an Uber which arrived in 1 minute.

. Quality service. Arrived on time to pick me up at home and was there within 5 minutes for return trip. Really helpful driver also set price which means if driver seems to be going the long way around

Do not bother with club cars. they take a prebooked time as a suggestion at best. caused me to miss connections and added significant delay at the end of a 6 hour journey. just get a hackney carriage
