UPDATE: This coffee culture is up and down. Previously, this coffee shop was unorganized and had horrible service. In 2017 when Mike bought the coffee shop, this place shot right up to a 5 star, the service was great, the food was great, the place was packed... It was amazing. As of November 2018 Mike sold the coffee shop, since then this place has gotten worse than the original owners. The service is unorganized, the food was cold, and the place is dead. Its unfortunate, I try to avoid the harsh reviews, but seeing where this coffee shop was when Mike owned it... To where it is now, its sad to see. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I was asked to write a review 2 years ago this would have looked a bit more like a 3 if not 2 star, That said now in 2017 it’s for sure a 5 star, Mike (the new owner) has done a great job at turning this place around, the staff is much more friendly, the service is quick and precise with orders. You can now find a seat, unlike previous years where the seats would be taken by individuals who did not purchase anything. Well done Mike!

I used to go here all the time and have noticed a huge decline in customer service this past year. The last time I was there I was asked to move to another table to accommodate a small group of 4-5 people, after already being there over 30 minutes and buying food, coffee and a snack, and the only option I was given for seating was either touching shoulders with people at a full table or sitting at a tiny table that barely fits my laptop and throwing the charger underneath the legs of the people in the booth next to me while I sit barely an arms length away from them. I’m never one to go out of my way to write a negative review but I was so shocked at this and their customer service lately in general. Will not be going back unfortunately as I used to love it there.

I am not a regular to Coffee Culture however this nice coffee shop was a pleasant surprise. The service was quick and friendly. The sitting areas, which there are plenty of are very comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere. Even cozy up in the lounge chairs by the fireplace and tv for some extra warmth this winter season. We ordered the festive peppermint mocha and an apple fritter. The Apple fritter was not the best I've ever had, but was still good. The peppermint mocha on the other hand was quite good. The presentation was very festive and inviting with little peppermint bits crushed ontop of a layer of whipped cream to top off the mocha. Over all I am very pleased with my visit and would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet and relaxing place to get a coffee or even a bite to eat.

As hesitant as I was about the full service I'm disappointed to have seen it go when the new owners took over. I have been there twice now since new ownership and the young ladies behind the counter were sweet and genuine, very friendly. I couldn't help but notice how dirty the tables and bathrooms were, but by how busy the girls got, they clearly didn't have enough time to do anything other than serve people. Also it is now the 8th of January, and I noticed there's only one signature since the first on the bathroom check list. When the servers were there, the bathrooms and tables were always tidy, and a lot of the time, I didnt have to wait over 5 minutes to even be asked for my drink order. Maybe consider bringing the full service back. Me (as well as friends of mine) do not plan on going again

I had a very unpleasant experience at this establishment recently on a date. Ordered coffees and sat down and was immediately pressured into leaving as they were only allowed 10 people in store at one time due to covid. That's fine I said but we came in after four others which the employee agreed with, then looked around and continued to ask how long we were gonna stay. After telling her until we are done our coffees she finally moved along and began to harass other customers. Then roughly 20 minutes later they just shut all the lights out on us and the other 6 customers. So instead of letting us know they decided to close two hours early they just left everyone in the dark and when I asked what was going on one employee said "can't you see we're closing?" Great coffee, abysmal service.

Honestly- I have to say the service and staff at this location are gems. I have been maybe four times and they are so kind. I feel like in this day and age the service industry has gone downhill- but this location must have some great/ really kind management because It’s not the case here. I have dealt with a different employee each visit and they have all been so genuine and helpful. The atmosphere feels like someone’s home (although outdated- I wouldn’t change a thing). It’s cozy and clean and inviting from atmosphere to the staff. Thanks for being a great little place to take our kiddos for the carrot cheesecake + a really good latte!

We are from east of Toronto and were heading to the Falls. Stopped in Coffee Culture to meet up with some family. Fantastic place!!!! We showed up and started moving some tables closer together when the manager came over and asked if we needed assistance. We told him we were expecting a few more guests. He quickly assisted to ensure that our party of 9 were comfortable. The service was amazing!!! We enjoyed our evening and decided to stop in again on our way home. Once again the management and staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I would definitely stop in again. One of the best coffee houses I've been to. Great coffee/tea and the kids said the desserts are awesome!!!!!!

Came here as my husband and I wanted some coffee and desert! The gentleman at the counter on Feb 7th 10 pm shift-Super friendly, professional AMD very polite. He took our order and brought it to our table. We got the regular sized Capaccino and a regular sized Cinnamon Chai Lattr---MMM so good. They were Accompanied with a Biscotti. We also ordered the Oreo Cheese cake. I found it to be a little expensive for the size you get $6.99 (it was oooookay) very rich and sweet. Overall I would come back here again. They also serve Waffles for dessert and other food here. I enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere. Very Relaxing.

First, the server (blonde, short hair, caribou necklace) must be new. She was snarky, and didn't get our order right. She even spilled stuff on herself. If she's new, she should ask for help. Even the breakfasy sandwich took 8mins, it was expensive, and was less than a Macdonalds breakfast. I'm very surprised. Is this how the other chain stores are? Beware, check your order, ask for photos if you are not clear with what you want to order, and ask them to fix it. Very disappointing experience. The physical space seemed nice.. guess that is where the money went..

I love Coffee Cultures they have the best sandwiches, lovely desserts & smoothies. I like going here for lunch or if you want to go for desert and coffee/speciality teas or cappuccinos. Also great really large china cups with saucers if eating in. Great variety, lots of comfortable seating and tables. It’s my go to coffee place when you want something special. A great lunch on a decedent desert. I highly recommend it. Also every location I have visited I’ve always had very good service. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and I believe it is definitely worth every penny!

I went into Coffee Culture today to get breakfast and the girl who greeted me to take my order was very nice. In the midst of telling my order, one of the other girls who was preparing the food so rudely interrupts to ask me if my order was for here or to go. I said to go and continued to pay for my meal. The girl making the food was very rude and not friendly. She literally put my food together in the paper bag and threw it on the counter. This cafe used to have very nice employees, who knows what happened. Do people not know how to smile anymore. Disappointed with the service.

The staff was exceptionally pleasant and the atmosphere in the store was good. Even we were asked if we wanted mugs or take out cups we opted for mugs as we were sitting in. They told us they only had one medium mug left so we could have a medium to go cup or a small mug. Thought this was very odd as the store wasn't at all busy... Other than that a good experience, especially if you want somewhere not loud and crowded to sit for a good chat.

Nice snd spacious for a coffee shop, decent selection of food on the menu and plenty of drinks. I'm not convinced the $5 iced latte drink I got was much better than a similar one I get at Mc Donalds for $2 but its a much more relaxing spot to sit for the price difference. No yelling kids, mostly an older crowd and twenty-somethings with less pop-ish music on the radio, nice for a break. Desserts are really good and although I haven't actually eaten lunch or dinner here theres a few things I'd like to try on the menu.

Pretty good coffee, I didn't have food this time but will definitely go again and hopefully eat something. Nice set up, lots of seats and tables. It was fairly busy while I was there but you could definitely focus without being disturbed by any other patrons. Staff was nice and served me with a smile. Tons of parking and minutes to the QEW. Free wifi and wall plugs all over the place, you can really settle in and get work done. I've literally spent a couple hours on one seat and had no objections from the staff.

Coffee Culture has an interesting value proposition: I would say it is a mix of Starbucks and Panera Bread. The coffee is superb, good options of salads and sandwiches. The customer service is great. You might come alone for a quick bite and use their free wifi or with a group to enjoy a good meal. Even though not a romantic view, it has an interesting view to Centennial Parkway, one of the busiest and centric streets of Stoney Creek. Accessible by public transportation. Plenty of parking if visiting driving.

Last great coffee shop left in hamilton! Way better than Tim Hortons! They don't have many coffee shops now a days and I'm not talking about star bucks either! That shop sucks! I'm talking a good wholesome place where they don't take every cent you have just for a cup of coffee and they are so nice there and great seating. I'd highly recommend this coffee shop!

I remember when coffee culture it was always busy, and the atmosphere was cool. Unfortunately they have let this place go, the bathrooms were in bad shape, behind the counter was so messy. It cost $ 12.00 for a tea, small Iced Coffee which was pretty bad. I am lactose intolerant so I had to get it with Oat Milk which is another .50 cents. We also ordered a cappachino , so 3 items in total. I probably will not be going back there again.

Sat on the patio which was infested with bees. One flew into my 7$ smoothie almost immediately and I asked if it could be replaced, the manager rudely said “You chose to sit outside.” Hard to believe a place that charges 7$ for a smoothie can’t afford to replace it after a bee flies in. Always been a loyal customer so I was disappointed but I won’t be coming back.

Absolutely loved this location! An incredibly positive and inviting atmosphere accompanied with a vast menu of delectable food and drink. I've worked in one some time ago and I assure that the quality of the ingredients going into the food is top notch. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a pick me up in their day, and would visit more if this chain was more widely available. 5/5 I'm certainly returning for the sheer sake of the service.

The new owners are the most friendly and heart warming people I have ever met. One of the younger gentlemen who seemed like he was still learning a few things took my order and told me to have a seat while he prepared my waffle and salted caramel latte. After he brought it out to me, he came back around to make sure everything tasted right. You could tell that he genuinely cared which you don't see often from people nowadays

figured we would go out for a nice desert after dinner. ordered two pieces of cake and two coffees. First the place is full of students taking up entire booths with just one person in each booth so they can do their projects. so we finally find a seat and the cake pieces were so dry and old it was like it was last months. outer edges were dry af. for a $7 piece of cake it should be amazing, not some dried up frozen garbage.

Good place to stop and have a delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte:) My friend & I stopped by and ordered from a great staff and manager. We could not ask for better hospitality than what we received on Wednesday Octobet 25 /16. Wonderful staff, wonderful service. The atmosphere was so homey. I come here quite often to work. The service is always friendly with the owners almost always in house taking care of customers. Almost all seats have access to a plug for laptops and accessories and the food and drinks are always good as well. I like it as a place to come a hunker down to work or even to meet friends. Because they have good wifi and plugs I usually buy way more food and drinks as I'm there longer.

Comfy little joint with all kinds of baked goods and coffee. I'm not sure if I came at a bad time or on a bad day, but the service was sluggish with 1 person taking the orders and another working in the kitchen area. Additional staff or more training of the existing folks may make for a more consistent experience for the customers. Great sandwiches nonetheless.

I have been visiting this place for a years. Love the atmosphere and their cappuccino. The food is very good too. I have to say in a last couple of months the quality of espresso coffee is not as use to be. Also some of the staff are not friendly, especially the older lady behind cash register, inpatient and rude. Noa is still the only one that stands out, friendly, always smiling and makes good cappuccino!

Food was good but customer service was awful! Cashier was on her phone for a good five minutes before she noticing I was standing there. She was not friendly and after ordering she went right back to her phone.. very unprofessional and unsanitary! I recommend going to a local coffee shop if you are looking for hospitality.

I am a regular at this locations because it is a great place to get coffee, hang with friends or do some work. Coffee is great, food is great and the snacks are delicious. Has an amazing atmosphere and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. It is always clean and they take all necessary precautions during covid. This is the only coffee joint I care to go to!

Honestly a great place to stop for an awesome coffee treat and a nice dessert. The negative of course is one person sitting on a 4 person table with their computer and staying literally for hours. So finding a spot to sit can be an experience. Time limits are tacky, but the reality is I just feel bad for the owners.

Always usually have a good time here. Nice place to sit with friends and sip on coffee. A lot of the time I find staff members taking orders aren't really knowledgeable about the menu items. Ordered a bagel once and was brought a breakfast sandwich and when I said it wasn't what I ordered she said yes it was....

Reservations are not accepted here, so there can sometimes be a wait for a table, especially on weekends. Deck tables are always the most popular in the summer but worth the wait if you have the time. The ambiance inside the restaurant is country-rustic, with old memorabilia scattered throughout the dining room.

I ordered a latte with oat milk, it tasted like coffee drainage water! I almost spat out my drink twice and couldn't stomach another sip. Will not be coming here again!

I visited on a Boxing day evening to study for my exam. Place was really nice and elegant. Staffs were super friendly they exactly know how to please a customer. Also they were extra nice when i was trying to finish my exam during the end of night they waited for me to finish my exam and leave.

This Coffee Culture location is such a gem! The staff knows our usual coffee order by heart and are always very welcoming. We've tried a variety of items on the menu and are never disappointed. The inside is decorated very nice, it's a great atmosphere to meet up with a friend for coffee.

Terrible !! The front counter looks like animals attacked it and it was falling apart on the bottom. The place was not clean at all. I stood at the front counter waiting to order while 2 employees just talked to each other. Coffee was over priced and mediocre.

I have been here twice. The first time I got one of their frozen chinos and have been craving it ever since. Went back a second time and it was just as delicious as I remembered. This time I also tried one of their sandwiches which was also amazing! Definitely recommend!

I ordered the breakfast combo. The medium coffee is what other restaurants would refer to as extra large. I was impressed that my sandwich was made to order and came hot and coffee was hot and both fresh. Very nice employees working there. Will definitely return!!!

I absolutely love coming to this coffee culture. The sandwiches are so delicious and fresh tasting! Also, I love trying out the different seasonal drinks they have as they’re always so yummy (I got the Mini Egg ‘chino this time). I highly recommend visiting!

Good location. Ordered hot beverages and cookies. Front line staff were polite and brought our order to the table. Only thing I would like to address, the round table in which we sat at in the corner; it was colder in temperature than other parts of room.

Fantastic food! Tonight I tried the gluten free peanut butter fudge cheesecake and chai rooibos tea! Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. Seating was comfy. Perfect for a date night.

Ordered a turkey sandwich which was made imcorrectly asked her to prepare it properly she started yellimg and screaming I was shocked I have never had anyone yell or scream over a sandwich

Chocolate Prestige Cake is simply divine! Loved every bite! Coffee is always good and the hot chocolate is even better. Friendly service. Overall great place. My new favorite coffee spot!

Very cozy vibe and good coffees and desserts. The barista today was very sweet and helpful with recommendations! Perfect place to study or do work while enjoying a coffee.

Atmosphere and coffee are great, but they cups and cutlery are dirty seems on a regular basis. Lady with the mask needs to learn about customer service, she is very rude.

One of the worst place to enjoy your coffee. Their customer service is horrible. They can't even replace a drink if made incorrect. Do not get their coffee and sit there.

One of my favourite hang outs. Grab a drink and some eats and just sit and chat with friends. Wonderful friendly staff. Great atmosphere if you’re a people person.

Stopped in for a quick latte. Staff was friendly. No lactose free milk but there were milk alternatives (oat and almond and maybe other but I can’t remember).

The only coffee shop open on a Monday in Stoney Creek - free trade coffee - nice atmosphere
