I called College Hunk’s for a quote and was greeted with a rep who clearly reflected interest in making a profit by quoting an unreasonable price for the requested services. I followed my intuitive gut and chose another company. This is where I thought my interaction with College Hunk’s ended. Not so… a close associate shared that they had hired College Hunk’s to provide moving services. College Hunk’s quoted my associate $500 to move very few items to include a bed (which they easily disassembled) and mattresses; a TV stand,; a patio chair (easily disassembled), and items stored in trash bags (approximately 10 -15). College Hunks insisted that a $99 fee be paid in advance, which my associate paid via a credit card. College Hunk’s quote for my associate’s few furniture and bags items was seriously over-priced. The associate had initiated moving possessions weeks earlier to minimize the time and cost it would take to move all items and avoid any over-charge. After the move was completed, my associate was told that because College Hunk’s had to move bags in addition to the a few furniture items, an additional $300 would have to be paid. Unbelievable. He contacted the company and expressed that the bags were in deed a part of the $500 quote, and requested to speak with the owner to rectify the price discrepancy. The rep on the phone refused to honor his request to speak with the owner, and literally laughed at my associates’ frustration. My associate, trying to amicably resolved the matter, agreed to pay half of the over-charged amount. College Hunk’s then told my associate that a credit card percentage would also be assessed to the total bill ($699), or the payment could be made through Zelle (of course this is the payment platform that some companies would want customers to choose because it offers very little financial recovery recourse, unlike payments that are made via a credit card whereas the customer’s financial institution can process a claim against the merchant on the customer’s behalf; usually such dispute claims are in the customer’s favor). If it were possible to not give any star rating - this is what College Hunk’s would have received. To avoid such an unjustified and grossly distasteful experience, here are a few tips to hopefully help you have a stress-free and successful moving experience: (1) If you are in need of a moving company, please ASK questions, NEVER PAY AN ADVANCE FEE (honorable companies want your business and will request payment upon the service being rendered). (2) ALWAYS receive a documented quote via email, if not an in person paper quote. (3) DECIDE if it is better to choose a 3 men crew as opposed to a 2 men crew (most moving companies make it seem like it is in your best cost interest to go with a 2 men crew, when in essence and mist cases, it is better to have a 3 men crew to get the move completed more efficiently, saving you time and money and avoiding over-charge fees). (4) IT’S YOUR MONEY - MANAGE IT by monitoring the crew to make sure they are working efficiently and not lagging on your time, which is YOUR MONEY! (5) NEVER allow yourself to feel trapped, frustrated or coerced into paying an amount you clearly did not initially agree to (many moving companies count on Your STRESS working against you, and will bully customers into feeling like they have to pay unauthorized and outrageous over-charge fees). (6) It is highly suggested to ALWAYS PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD, the merchant fee (usually 1 -3 %) is far less than the total amount of service being rendered, and if there should be any price or service discrepancies, your financial institution most likely will have your back (your bank can file a dispute charge against the merchant on your behalf). (7) NEVER ALLOW ANYONE TO MAKE YOU FEEL OBLIGATED OR THAT IT IS MANDATORY TO SIGN ANY DOCUMENT YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH OR YOU DID NOT AGREE TO. (It can be very diffIcult to challenge the merchant if your signature is affixed to a legal document. Good Luck and Choose Wisely!(-:

DO NOT HIRE. Hired college hunks to move my families belongings from a storage unit into our new construction home (one story home). The storage unit was filled by a different moving company, in one truck in less than 5 hours. They came out and took 4 hours to fill their truck at the storage unit and could not fit all of the furniture. (Same size truck that filled the unit). We ended up having to rent a truck and finish emptying it ourselves. Once they did arrive to my new house, it only got worse. Three very young men, who admittedly were untrained and very poorly equipped to move belongings into a home, started bringing things in. They smashed into walls, dented doorways, and dinged any wooden furniture. Every end table, coffee table and bed frame is broken (missing legs or wood pieces cracked off). I wasn’t even going to file claims for all the things they broke but one major thing needed to be rectified. The three adolescents were hauling our refrigerator off the truck and didn’t use any correct equipment to attempt to do that and we all watched as it smashed to the ground from almost the top of the ramp. I wouldn’t have been as mad if they had attempted to make at least the refrigerator demolition right for us. But they didn’t. They offered $150 and the man I spoke with, Carson, was extremely rude and told us that was all they would/could offer and I’m welcome to “seek other alternatives”. Is that your companies stance? We will offer you embarrassingly low amounts and tell you to take it up with small claims court?? Horrible company. Zero communication.

UPDATED: I called and left a message as requested from their response below and never heard from them again — clearly customer service isn’t a concern. I used this business to remove a sectional and an armoire from my house. It cost $400. The website quoted me around $180, and it was not until they called to let me know they were on their way to do the removal that it turns out it was going to be double what the website estimated. At that point, I had no choice because I had new furniture coming the next day and I had to get rid of the old furniture and I had less than 24 hours to find a solution. Additionally, if you put in your email and phone number for an estimate, you assume that you’re going to get a phone call and text message and email with solicitation and offers. What you should know about this company is that they are relentless and their pursuit of your business to the point of harassment. I received countless phone calls emails and text messages and had asked them to stop. Even after I booked the service, I still had people calling me, wanting to know if I would book a service with them. It was completely unprofessional and frankly just annoying. If you need someone for junk removal, call someone else because they are going to charge you an arm and a leg and you’re going to be disappointed. I will say the two guys that came out to my house were very nice and helpful. Other than that this company sucks.

The worst movers ever. The administration/management office is inept and couldn’t even manage the simplest of instructions. Agreements made with management were routinely ignored and resulted in numerous errors. Miscellaneous charges were added on that were not previously disclosed. Packers ignored instructions and padded the bill by actually wrapping and moving items in another room that they were told were going out for recycling. Nearly unbreakable jars (intended for recycling) were wrapped in massive amounts of paper and tape, while antique dishes and fine China were jammed all together and many broken. The move was from one floor to another in the same building, yet they managed to hijack at least two large boxes with some irreplaceable items in them, which of course they deny. However, I recently received a small number of the missing items anonymously and from a location in another state, just so they could be sure that I knew conclusively that they had my stolen items. There is also security video from the service elevator. Lawsuit, Better Business Bureau complaints and possible theft charges pending. I don’t know how they stay in business.

I can't say enough of about the professionalism these guys had. I had to move from a two story townhouse to a 3rd floor apartment and Tyler & his crew did it with no problem. They took care of my belongings amazingly. Needless to say with the few things I brought upstairs to the apartment were nothing in comparison to what they had to do & I know I was tired but they were skipping steps doing what they do. The last piece of furniture that needed to be brought in was my couch & it wasn't going to fit. They were trying everything to get it in there but it wasn't gonna happen. I was about to have to leave the couch on curb & take the loss, but Tyler was not trying to let let that happen. They actually figured out a way (they said it was a 1st time they ever had to take apart a couch to get it in) but low & behold my living set is still a full set! I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a moving service. Definitely going to be my #1 go to moving forward. If you are looking for a moving company for anything.... STOP LOOKING cuz this is your company! So happy with them. Thank you College Hunks, especially Tyler & his crew!!

I submitted an online request to have furniture removed from my garage and College Hunks was the vendor who reached out. I was initially provided a text of my request and advised of the phone number that would be calling to confirm details as well as explain the process and price. The phone representatives were incredibly helpful and informative in answering all questions as well as ensuring all details were covered. There was a delay for the initial schedule and I was immediately contacted and rescheduled, receiving both email and text confirmations. The drivers were responsive in advising approximate arrival as well as letting me know when they were on premises as requested. They were very respectful, polite, and very complimentary. I was very impressed with the entire process and level of service from start to finish and would not only recommend but also use this business again.

I was impressed by Tyler and Adam as they arrived on the time scheduled for the morning of my full move. After arrival they proceed in accomplishing a walkthrough of tithe location and items to be loaded and delivered at the new location. As part of the preparation they proposed upgrades, which ensured a likelihood they property would arrive safely. I agreed to the upgrade and was impressed the professionalism as they worked as a team to expedite the pickup and proceed to delivering the property safely and within the schedule. The total move was as described in the schedule without any damage to my property. I appreciated their attention to details and staying focused to ensure my expectations were met. I can honestly say that was one of the most satisfying moves I have had the pleasure of experiencing. Ta very much for a job well done!!!

College H.U.N.K.S was phenomenal today and they have been professional from my initial call through the completion of the job. The communication was thorough and they were honest. I won't mention any competitor here but, they were no where near as professional nor offered me as reasonable of a price that College HUNKS quoted me. Most importantly, I felt respected by College HUNKS and I did not feel that way with the other company. The other company did not provide a written estimate nor an electronic estimate like College HUNKS and the other place played negotion and haggling games over the phone afterwards. College HUNKS will be my go to if I need services in the future and I will be recommending them to others.

Double Edit: Moved again, and Seth, Matthew, and Kyle were absolutely amazing. Best experience and will definitely continue to use them anytime we move. Again, very careful with our fragile items, and overall just great guys. Edit: I used College Hunks again a week ago and Matt, Ryan, and Seth were extremely careful with our belongings and super friendly! Great service and can definitely trust this company. I put in for a quote and was called within minutes by Shelby, who was absolutely wonderful. I am doing a move where I only need labor for a few hours and Shelby was able to help bring the price down immensely by making sure that the services fit our needs. She was extremely sweet and very helpful!!

Don't trust anything these guys say in advance for a quote, and definitely don't trust them with your move. I contacted these movers to empty and transport two storage units to my new home in Palm Coast, but only half of it was delivered. The quote they gave was for both units, 5 hours of labor, and 3 guys, and was told that they could take care of it in one trip with a big truck. On the day of my move, only one storage unit was emptied and delivered, but it took them the FULL 5 hours and truck size that they quoted me. Now I have to pay for an extra month on my 2nd storage unit until another company can come move it. Don't rely on these movers for a complete job or accurate quote.

We have used a couple of different moving services for local moves and College Hunks on Beach has been the best. Seth and his team, Stefan, Ryan and Augustine were great. They called when they were 20 minutes away, arrived within the time window I was on told and then proceeded with to work hard and fast. I was doing a condo switch so it was like doing two back to back moves. One of the condos was going upstairs and they got to it. They were able to get my two moves done in the time that was estimated which was good for me. Planning on another move at the end of the year and I will definitely be calling College Hunks again. I will even request the same team. Thanks guys.

Howell and Jon were wonderful, very polite and respectful. I felt they took great care with my things which was a relief because I had a bad experience with another moving company in the past. I appreciated that their supervisor called during the process just to see how things were going. I felt it was a nice touch that shows they care about their customer experience. The whole process was smooth from the time I requested a quote online through completion. Every member of the team I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. I would recommend them and I will use them again the next time I move. Hopefully not for a while!

Honestly it was terrible terrible service. I moved out of Dallas and called the night before. Sure that part was great but there’s no way I’d ever use this service again. The three guys showed up 1 hour and 45 minutes late. I never received a call letting me know they would be late. Once arrived they had zero idea of how to pack the truck. They broke not only our desk but our side tables in our living room from poor packing. When I called to ask for compensation they make you file this long claim without any communication. I would not recommend.

From start to finished, I received great service from College Hunks Movers. My initial phone call was answered by Steve; he was professional, very helpful, provided all details on what to expect, scheduled my date and time and followed up with confirmation immediately. Next day I received a call confirming my date and time and was asked if I had any questions or concerns. On the day of my move, my moving team, Brendan and Joe, arrived on time and immediately got to work. They were pleasant, polite, very careful and thorough. Job well done!

I was worried that these guys would break something but I was pleasantly surprised that they carefully wrapped my mirrors and took their time bringing my furniture in carefully and without damage. They did exactly as I asked them to do and took each piece of furniture and/or item into the room that I requested. They were very friendly, understanding and hard working. These three guys deserve a reward! In the future if ever I should move again I will definitely be using college hunks as my moving source.

On 10`22`2023, I had the pleasure of meeting the most professional movers ever. Ryan, Cameron and Stefan are the epitome of professional customer service. I know I waited a long time to post this review; but, I never forgot their attention to detail and professional demeanor. Even the young lady who wrote the estimate was professional. Thank you for taking care of our furniture and doing so in a timely manner.

So happy with my experience from start to finish. I just needed help moving my piano and the manager who reached initially worked with my schedule so I got the best price possible. I had Jake, Tyler and Oliver out to move the piano and all were respectful of my property and friendly. They moved the piano with ease and made sure it was exactly where I wanted it. 100% recommend. They were great!

Our move was a bit complex. The initial booking was not conveyed to the guys we were assigned the move and we had to have them return an additional day. This was inconvenient, but it all worked out. Some items were broken, and the movers should have informed me. My neighbor was there, and he told me when I returned from an errand. All in all, the guys were great, efficient, and communicative.

I had a fantastic experience with College Hunks recently. I just moved and needed some large furniture items as well as several boxes of smaller donations removed from my previous residence. The CH team was super fast, efficient, and friendly - and even removed several bags of trash for me! Service was good, however I moved ONE bedroom apartment with no couch, no dining table, no coffee table, no tv stand (so i only had one bed and one nightstand and a few boxes for kitchen/bathroom and clothes to move out within the same zip code) and it cost $700. For that reason alone, and despite the service, i would would not use them again. They are way too expensive.

Awful. I was out of town when they showed up to move us out of our house. The level of unprofessionalism they showed towards my wife is astonishing. Ethan, the manager, completely disregarded anything important she had to say and ran her over. At the end, when the job was “done”, he asked for an extra $140 for the crew. Terrible experience. We filled a rented U-haul in NC & arrived in Florida to a 3rd floor walk up. We hired The College Hunks to unload the U-Haul. They answered promptly with information when I called before arrival and were professional & got the job done. Worth the money to avoid an injury trying to handle furniture that was too heavy for one hubby & a small wife.

Tried to get a quote and got nothing but the run around. They wouldn’t put me in touch by email with anyone who could give me a quote, and wouldn’t even ball park the information. We are going with another company locally that was able to seamlessly get us the information we needed. Very disappointed and don’t understand the positive reviews

I used College Hunks to help move into a new home. They were very punctual and considerate of the time frame. The guys who came to help were very courteous of my property and took time to place everything were I wanted it. They were very polite and respectful and I would most certainly recommend them to anyone who needs help moving.

Life savers. I called when a Task Rabbit person cancelled at the last minute. We needed to remove the remaining furniture and books from my in-laws’ house before the closing in two days. This was the worst experience. I was charged $100 extra because the mover said he got fleas. There are no pets in my old place and none in the new place. At first he said he had 4 bites then said he had one and I said show me and he couldn’t. They were lying just to tack on an extra $100 DO NOT HIRE

We had a great experience with our small apt move. The guys were careful and attentive, and we finished more quickly than expected. As a bonus, they were able to take care of the couple of junk pieces at the same time since there was room on the truck.
