I called, pretty sure I scheduled, but come the day before moving was asked “did you want to schedule” and then told a truck was in the shop. Well yes, I wanted to schedule and was under the impression I already did schedule. I thought I had scheduled for 9:30 in the morning. I still could not get confirmation if I was going to have movers the day I was supposed to be out of my apartment. I then was told movers could be to me in the afternoon. After no response the day of moving, I finally reached out, pretty upset, and they did arrange for movers to get to me… by 6pm on a Friday. Im sure the movers themselves weren’t happy, I did my best to help them and even stopped my own furniture from rolling into someone’s car …. Once they were done I was charged for an hour more than they actually worked… I argued and she honored a slightly lower price. It was not my greatest experience, but did I get into my house by the end of the night, yes. Also, my dresser was damaged during the move, but I opted to not have anything wrapped due to being the last minute add on and wanting to make the move as quick and efficient as possible. And by last minute add on, I mean because they clearly never had me scheduled to begin with, or used that as an excuse to easily drop me when a truck was out of service. I’m an easy going person, with honesty, they could’ve just offered to reschedule me vs playing it off :)

I used Momma's Movers at the end of August for a whole house move to storage. Their rates were very reasonable. My movers showed up on time and were very, very efficient! Took about 5 hours from start to finish. My only complaints would be 1- they were a little too efficient lol. They were in the moving zone and took several items (bags of trash, unboxed items not meant for storage, etc) that didn't need to go onto the truck and 2 - they threw my stuff into the storage without any order. There's furniture in the back piled on top of some boxes, furniture in the middle of the storage with small stuff all over the place. It just isn't organized which is making very challenging to get to some things I need. I know they were trying to maximize space however being more orderly would've maximized the space better. Definitely will need to re-arrange in the storage unit at some point. Overall though the movers were very respectful and did a decent job for a decent price. I would use them again.

Momma's moving company is the best out there!!! Words cannot express how great the guys are!!! Like a lot of people, I was hesitant to use a moving company but my experience was fantastic :) The guys that moved us were pleasant to deal with, on time, fast, very respectful and came ready to work. They treated our belongings like they would treat their own. They really made us feel like family. The office staff were so helpful when I had to change my dates. When I got my confirmation call I was quite surprised that they were able to come early which was perfect for us. I really hope that we don't have to move again for a while but if we do I would use Mommas moving company over and over again!! When we tipped our guys at the end they were so grateful (we did tip all 3 of them very generously). After our move I called the office to express to them our gratitude for their company and employees! THANK YOU MOMMAS MOVING COMPANY FOR BEING THE BEST OUT THERE!!!!!!!

We used Momma’s Movers because the apartment building offered an incentive for us to use them. They were easy to coordinate with and quickly schedule a time for the move. Two gentleman showed up the morning of the move and one was incredible (Ryan) and one was not so great (Jeff). Jeff ended up leaving the job (I do hope that he is no longer with the company) leaving Ryan by himself. Ryan was truly amazing and made me feel like we were in good hands and would figure out the situation even if there was just one person. A third guy (Josh) showed up and completed the two man crew. The rest of the move was smooth and we didn’t have any hiccups. I would hire Ryan in a minute and highly recommend him for any of your moves! Once we were finished, we called the company and we were able to get a discount from the trouble that the other employee caused earlier that morning and an apology so that was very appreciated!

This was our second time using Mommas Moving and it was even better than our first experience. They were understanding and accommodating when we had to delay our move twice. Our movers - Jarrett and Dennis - were fantastic. They arrived right on time and were professional and polite. They moved quickly and efficiently but handled our things - especially our antiques - with tremendous care. They even managed to get our huge IKEA cubicle unit (not the sturdiest piece of furniture) down a flight of stairs, into the truck, around the side of our new house, up the deck stairs and into thru the back door. We were appreciative and impressed! I can’t say enough good things about Jarrett and Dennis . They hustled in extreme heat conditions to get us moved and we’re never once rude or short with us or each other. Hope we never move again but if we do, we’ll call Mommas - and request Jarrett and Dennis.

I have to say I was a little bit nervous about the move and how everything was going to work out but after the meeting Jeff and Ryan it put my mind at ease , they have absolutely fabulous personalities very polite very professional explained everything thoroughly went to extreme lengths to make sure that my furniture was well protected kept in touch with me and every detail about how I wanted things placed and set up so it turned out to be an absolutely fabulous moving experience , I am so appreciative of the customer care and how they go out of the way to make sure that they are pleasing their customer, these are absolutely too fabulous guys I would highly highly recommend them , There fast thorough ,neat ,there just exuberantly speedy, can’t say enough about them I appreciate them very very much Thank you Jeff and Ryan for your marvelous service. UPDATE: We used Momma's Movers a third time recently. The guys from the original post were no longer with the company but let me just say - Jeff and Ryan were by far the BEST of the three moves! They handled our large furniture with ease, were beyond professional and courteous, and genuinely cared about doing a great job. It was an excellent experience. ORIGINAL: We used Momma's Movers to unload our moving truck that we drove from out of state. Wes and Guy - our specific movers - are everything you think of for movers - professional, courteous, strong, and swift, yet careful. We had some very large, heavy solid wood pieces that are very important to us - they were more than strong enough to handle them, and made sure to treat them very carefully. When we have to move one final time in a few months we will most definitely be specifically booking Wes and Guy again.

I hired Momma's moving company based on the other reviews here on google and they lived up to their top rating in Jacksonville. Scheduling was efficient and simple, just called 3 days before my scheduled move and went over an inventory of the items to relocate. They promptly issued us a quote and we set a time and date. Their team notified me half an hour before they were scheduled to arrive and showed up 5 minutes early and ready to go. Their team was professional, courteous and worked quickly to complete our move. They were very careful with our belongings and made sure to ask which items were fragile so they could make sure they were packed safe. We had anticipated that the move would take 3 hours but they got it done in just over 2 hours. I would definitely hire them again and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a moving service in Jacksonville.

Absolute pitiful excuse for a company that prides itself on communication and customer service. I was abhorred at the experience I received. I would give it zero stars if I could. -The moving staff was beyond rude -The office staff did not care that I had a terrible experience. I wrote a 3 page letter addressing each specific issue I had and never heard a peep back from them. My husband called them at least 3 times and could never get anyone to talk to. -They insulted my belongings, my dogs, my home, and littered in my yard. -AND they came in double the price and time estimate of what they quoted! I wasted a whole day off of work to feel belittled by someone I hired. I have never been so disrespected by a company before. Don't waste your time with them. Choose a company you've actually heard of before....

We used Momma's Moving Company last August to move across county lines and they were wonderful!!! Jason is a true professional that knows and understands customer service. He and his crew arrived called to let me know they were on their way and arrived right on time! For our job, he recommended two trucks and utilized five guys (no burgers!). He told us he felt it would take about five hours for our move and he was spot on. He and his crew did not leave our new home until we were satisfied with all the furniture placement and were HAPPY to move things when I changed my mind - more than once! We truly cannot say enough good things about Jason and his crew. There is NO DOUBT among me and my husband that we would use this company again and we will also recommend them to anyone that is looking!

I had an appointment on April 13 at 9AM, the movers did not show up so around 9:45AM I called and spoke to a woman. She said she did not have a driver and said she would get back to me. I reached out 3 times, each time she told me she would get back to me and never did, and then again 2PM, as I was tired of waiting, and scheduled the pick up for the next day. I was scheduled to pay for 2 movers, and 3 showed up (I paid for all 3). The response time was not appreciated but the movers themselves did an excellent job. They worked quickly and efficiently to move everything as they knew what had happened the day before. Overall- the movers were great, however the promptness of response and scheduling was not. (THIS POST WAS MADE IN RESPONSE OF ANN, 5 STARS ARE STRICTLY FOR THE MOVERS)

Needed a moving company and was specifically seeking the move a gun safe that weighs in at 1K lbs. Company called the day before and said they probably could not move it because their truck with a lift gate was broken. I asked if they had a truck with a ramp and they said they had a couple. Guys showed up almost an hour late. They knew I had the safe and did not bring an appliance dolly which is the bare minimum to move one. They also said they did not trust the ramp because it had needed a weld repair recently. Additionally they broke the leg off a couch shoving some mattresses in the truck. In the end I am out several hundred dollars to pay for extra storage time for the safe and someone else to move it; and around $50 to replace the couch legs.

When we moved to Florida we used the same moving company we used for years, but they were located in NY. When it came time to move within Jacksonville, we were at a loss as to who to use. We had been very spoiled with the service we received with our old company, so our expectations were very high. I did a quick search on Google and found Momma s Moving Company and decided to give them a shot. From speaking with Karen on the phone, to meeting Jason and the crew (Pat, Robert and Trey), they were all absolutely wonderful! They were all completely professional, courteous and friendly. We completely lucked out finding these guys and absolutely recommend them to anyone/everyone! They did a great job, they did it quickly and the price was awesome too!

The movers did a great job and were very efficient. The only issue we had was that we were told the “clock” starts ticking when they arrive at the house. Our moving destination was only ~20 minutes away so we were surprised when we saw a 2-hour travel time being billed to us. For how much they charge per hour, that’s around ~$200 extra. We called to ask about the extra travel time added and was told that since our move was in World Gold Village it was not considered “local” (their office is near St. John’s Town Center) so they started the clock when the movers left the office. They knew our address from the start so I wish they told us that from the beginning. Overall they did a good job. We just wish that they were more upfront about the cost.

I contacted Dominique with Mommas Moving about 3 weeks before our expected move date from Jacksonville to Tampa. Life happens and our move ended up pushed out another 4 weeks. Fortunately I was able to contact her and change the date with no issues. Scheduling the move was fast and easy. Once the movers showed up I appreciated the lead mover, Jason, whom was professional and courteous. Both of the guys work quickly and efficiently. They asked a lot of questions to make sure everything was packed correctly. The quote was very reasonable and ended up costing me a little less than the quoted price due to Mommas moving being a time and material company. I would recommend using Mommas Moving to anyone looking for assistance with a move.

This is the third time Momma’s has helped me with my moving needs and is my third five-star rating. Making a convenient appointment was quick and easy. I was their first job of the morning and the guys were right on time. Quick, efficient, professional, kind, and respectful. I especially appreciate how everyone I work with shows foresight and agile problem-solving skills, with *no* “mansplaining. Their pricing is upfront and the movers strive to stay on schedule/budget. My estimates have been pretty much spot-on and never have they surprised me with last-minute increases. I didn’t receive any incentive for this review, I just have a lot of respect for those who take pride and do good work. I love this company!

I have to write a review about this place because they are AMAZING! I just have to say I have had some pretty bad moving experiences, so I was not looking forward to today's move. However, Momma's Moving Company made it feel like Momma sent over my two big brothers, Cody and Robert, to help move me. They made all the difference! They were professional, courteous, timely, and respectful. As a single young female there is no price you can put on feeling secure, so thank you guys for making today SO MUCH BETTER THAN I EVER EXPECTED! I cannot recommend this company enough, and if you can ask for these two by name, I know I will for my next move!

The office asked for photos of my belongings so they knew the size truck to send, I emailed them photos. I said I'd need for them to pack some of my stuff because I wasn't sure how to do it myself. Odd shaped items and lamps. When the crew came on moving day, I walked them through the house to show them what they'd take. They missed many items and I got stuck dealing with them. Also, one of their movers smashed an antique glass lamp shade. I called their office to report the break. Long story short, they never paid me for the damaged shade and they tried charging me $40 for paying with a credit card. I do not recommend these movers.

By far the BEST moving company in Jacksonville! Jason Nice was so very patient and helpful as i was in a moving frenzy. I called several other moving companies but because of his kindness and sense of urgency to help me, i chose Momma's Moving Company. The rates he gave me were also the most reasonable for the time frame that i had to work with. The guys showed up ready to work and did not waste ANY time. They also respected my time and got the job done in a timely manner. I would HIGHLY recommend Mommas Moving Co. and i want to thank Jason and the crew again for everything!! You guys are the BEST!!

Wonderful. Professional. Fast. Reliable. Affordable. I had the pleasure of having Danny, Ryan and Mark as my moving team. Danny and Ryan came in on Thursday and packed everything up for a Friday load and move day. They had everything packed quickly and properly. Nothing broke during the move. The next day Mark joined Danny and Ryan and they had our 1400 sqft condo emptied in short order. Then they brought everything across town and unloaded and unpacked everything. They did a great job. I've moved four times in three years and these guys were by far the best movers I've had to date. Thanks guys.

My husband and I have moved several times in the past few years and decided it was time to hire movers. I could not have been any happier with my choice!! The two very kind and organized men who assisted in our move were fantastic! They were extremely time efficient, hard working, optimistic and happy throughout the whole process. The movers were supposed to be picking my girlfriends stuff up from her apt 2 hours ago. At the last minute they canceled and advised her to get another company. We understood that the truck was messing up but I believe that it would have been more professional to let us know more in advance. What looks to be an otherwise good reputation online could be tarnished because of a misstep in judgment. We now are going to be behind in getting to our destination and late for work likely. Thanks alot guys.

3/2/2019- Mommas Moving Company provided excellent service. I ran into issues with the previous moving company I booked and had to cancel at the last minute. I then called mommas moving company and they were able to fit me in. I was originally was scheduled for 2pm but the finished with a previous job earlier than expected and they were able to move me at 12pm. The movers were professional and quick. Time of the move from point A to point B only took 1 hour and 45 minutes. Thanks again guys.

Momma’s Moving Company was wonderful! Ryan and Jeff were very professional, right on time to the minute, and great to work with! Jeff & Ryan were great - took care of my roommate right before me, helped move stuff around to make sure it was perfectly placed in our new apartment, and were very thorough in making sure everything was secure during transportation. We also finished right on our estimation. Did a great job in removing any stress I had in a very hectic time frame. I have only used Mama’s for the past few years and will continue to do so every time I move locally!

They were not up front with all of the fee's. I talked to them 3 times, never was I told of a apt floor fee or credit card fee I feel like I paid more than I should have. 2 of the 3 men that showed up talked constantly. I feel like my stuff could of been moved more quickly if they concentrated on their job instead of socializing . I spoke to the owner, she said she'd speak to whomever. I haven't heard anything back. I would not recommend them !

Martin and Jhonny were honestly the best movers I've ever had! Polite, friendly, and strong! They both were true professionals! Everything was handled with care and efficientcy with 0 damaged items or Property! They even managed to finish up early despite carrying up a 175 galleon aquarium and sofa. I highly recommend Mommas Moving Company as not only are they're movers great but the office was extremely helpfully with logistics as well!

Calls the morning of my appointment to tell me my hourly rate and total cost of move has increased. Her reasoning was because it rained yesterday and her guys couldn’t get their jobs done so she had to add a third guy to my appointment so they could move faster. Horrible horrible HORRIBLE way to run a business. I will never in my life use this company so inconsiderate. All they care about is making the most money NOT about the customer.

I can't begin to say how impressed I was with the services of Momma's Moving Co. Martin & A.J. we're a pleasure to have move my belongings. They were on time, courteous, professional and took great care when handling my belongings. They didn't play around and came to handle their business in a fast and efficent manner. We had to move in to a storage unit for a month before our house was ready so we used Momma's Moving Company twice and had Jeff and Ryan both times. They were very professional and did a great job taking care of all of our belongings. The house we moved in was a more difficult move and they were able to maneuver around a difficult area while taking care of our belongings as well as our walls. Would definitely recommend them.

Tony and Josh are in the process of moving us and so far everything is fantastic . I received a call when they were on the way and they made it to the front door within 30 minutes. They explained the process completely and are carefully and diligently and quickly moving and packing the truck . They are protecting everything from the rain . A friend recommended Momma's Movers to me for my local move. Martin, Torric and Johnny arrived on time and went right to work.They were put to the test by moving my 14 ft long quilting machine, but they were up to the task. They packed my two bedroom, two story house, drove the 8 miles to my new condo, unpacked and had everything in place in 3 hours. If you're planning a move, I would highly recommend them.

Excellent service from the start. Another company repeatedly called me and pestered me to get me to come back while I shopped around for prices, but Maxi from the front office was very professional and gave me a very competitive price! When moving day came, the crew I had (the Rocco Crew) were very respectable guys and did a great job! Nothing broken! I will definitely be using them again in the future!

Ryan, Christian and Martin came to my home and packed up a 3 bedroom place and moved it to my new home. They worked in a very timely and orderly fashion. This was a great experience and highly recommend using this company to move. Legs or small moves, this team can handle it all. Communication was on point and everything was placed back in the new home exactly where I asked it to be put. A+ service!

I needed the move done quickly and they scheduled me for the very next day at a very fair price. Antoine and Wes arrived exactly on time. I had them move my 2-bedroom apartment. They were late and one of the guys showed up lame. They were polite but they slung my stuff around pretty good. I ended up with a broken lamp, a bent lamp, nicked up shelves, a dented grill, and a bunch of semi-crushed boxes. They seemed a little careless. Thankfully, I moved most the delicate stuff on my own. Disappointing. I wouldn't recommend.

I called 2 places to help me with moving and this company got my business right away with their pricing. Jeff and Ryan who did all the moving were excellent. Very personal, friendly and professional. They were also really quick with moving and careful with our things. They wrapped up all our furniture also which was nice. Will deff Be recommending you guys for any friends or family.

Our two movers, Shane and Chris, were wonderful to work with, efficient, and friendly . They went above and beyond and helped us remove our refrigerator doors so that it would fit through a narrow doorway and did it all with patience and professionalism. Cristan and Wes were professional, prompt thorough and handled the furniture so it wouldn’t be damaged. Dominique was responsive to my needs, quoted a fair price and followed through with her commitment. It is difficult to find anyone for any job, large or small to be as responsive as this company. One of the best experiences I’ve had with any business in a long time.

The guys were good as far as moving my thing goes. The one problem I had was I was quoted a price for 2 guys and that's what I budgeted for. However, on moving day a 3rd guy was sent without my prior consent. I was given a discount but personally I don't feel I should have had to pay for a 3rd guy especially when I wasn't informed ahead of time that he would be here.

Jarrod and Dennis were absolutely incredible!!! So professional, kind, courteous and super efficient throughout the entire process! And made sure the furniture was where I wanted it and helped me fit a piece into a unique space. Outstanding and highly recommend these two gentlemen and Mama’s Moving Services! Christian, Nick and Ryan were AWESOME!! In addition to being professional and experienced, these guys are extremely friendly and positive. Cancelled on us 30 minutes before our scheduled move. Had to reschedule to the next day. Damaged the door frame of our new house & ghosted us in terms of repairing it. One of the workers was behaving oddly, getting more aggressive & careless as the day went on. I could hear the other worker telling him to chill out & be careful upstairs. Would not recommend.

This was the second time I called Momma's to help with a move. Both times the guys were courteous and helpful and willing to do anything asked. They were professional and took special care with a piano and the fragile items. The price was quite reasonable and worth every penny! I would highly recommend this company and will use them again, when needed.

Tony and Dustin called and asked if they could come 30 mins early which was great! Once there they went straight to padding and wrapping furniture to move. They were extremely patient with my less than preparedness for my move and still managed to work hard to keep my moving finished in a timely manner. Highly recommend this team!

Momma’s Movers are the best in North Florida. They moved us four times and were punctual, friendly and very careful with our items. No breakage! Momma’s Moving Company does a fantastic job. This is my second time using them. All of their folks are great, but, have to say Ryan and Cristian are hands down AWESOME!!!! Both of them are extremely professional, kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend using their service and you won’t be disappointed!!!

Rocco was an amazing crew leader! He had everything well organized and was extremely proficient in moving my things to storage. Along with his friendly manner he made this experience most pleasant! These guys are outstanding! Three young men came and moved our stuff into the garage. They were pleasant, courteous, quick and professional. Great experience! Then.....a second group of guys came that were just like the first group and moved our furniture back in our house. All this at a very fair price.

Tony, Chris, and Dustin came and did a phenomenal job. The move was tricky being on the second floor and having some larger pieces of furniture but they were able to get it done quickly and efficiently! Would absolutely use them again and recommend them for anyone looking to move in the future!

Javay, Ryan, and Christian were great. We had a small move, but there were 2 large, expensive tvs and a 200 pound mattress. They wrapped and padded everything with care and it all arrived safely. They were right on time,  friendly, and fast. Would highly recommend and use again in the future!

They not only called me 2 hours before my move then were a no show but the next day when they did show they damage many of my items and also brought one of there kids who was going through my things. Do your self a favor, stay away. They a C rating with the BB for a resaon.
