"Really appreciate how this entire office loves on our golden retriever and Bernese mountain dog - two cute chaos creators who frequently find themselves in the vet office due to viruses they catch, injuries they sustain by roughhousing each other, or by eating things they shouldn’t! We have been lucky to have had good experiences at multiple vet offices in Atlanta for all of our pets (we also have two senior cats), but Common companion is our home due to how easy it is to get an appointment when needed"

I loved taking my senior cat, Marty, to see Dr. Dunbar for years - she is AWESOME. Very thorough, kind, transparent, and a true animal-lover. A couple months ago, Marty became very stressed and began losing weight right after I moved to a new apartment. Marty has always been extremely sensitive to environmental changes, so I wanted to have him seen as soon as possible. Sadly, Dr. Dunbar was booked up so I decided to book an appointment with Dr. Cox who was available. Horrible experience. If you have a senior cat DO NOT book with Dr. Cox. After a brief examination of Marty (she did not conduct urine sample/analysis or a full blood panel) she recommended humane euthanasia. She told me that he had severe kidney disease and further testing would not be worth my money or time; she told me he was dying and me keeping him alive would be inhumane. She said I needed to consider his "quality of life." I was devastated and shocked. I asked her multiple times what we could do to confirm her belief and she again said it wouldn't be worth it because his prognosis was "extremely poor." She urged me to consider immediate euthanasia. I believed her, but wanted to get a second opinion before euthanizing. I went to 2 separate vets (Veterinary Emergency Group and Alpharetta Animal Hospital) who both ran full blood panels, urine samples, and ultrasounds and confirmed that Marty DID NOT have kidney disease / kidney failure and they DID NOT recommend euthanasia. Instead, his panels showed high stress from my move and IBD. We changed his food to a prescription diet, gave him some fluids, and we were on our way. 2 months later, Marty is now back to his normal weight, loving his new food, playing and snuggling constantly, and overall such a happy boy. This is a reminder that YOU have to be your pet's biggest advocate and don't take all veterinary advice at face value. YOU know your baby best. I strongly believe Dr. Cox saw Marty was 13 years old and didn't want to try to find the true problem. She saw an old cat and decided his life was no longer worth looking into. It was lazy and insensitive. Again, if you have a senior animal, do not see her. She will not be an advocate for your baby. The ONLY reason by Common Companion is not receiving 1 star from be is because of my positive experience with Dr. Dunbar.

Really appreciate how this entire office loves on our golden retriever and Bernese mountain dog - two cute chaos creators who frequently find themselves in the vet office due to viruses they catch, injuries they sustain by roughhousing each other, or by eating things they shouldn’t! We have been lucky to have had good experiences at multiple vet offices in Atlanta for all of our pets (we also have two senior cats), but Common companion is our home due to how easy it is to get an appointment when needed. Dr. G is our normal vet and is incredibly empathetic and informative at every visit and really goes the extra mile in helping us solve mysteries for all the illnesses our dogs seem to find! But all the vets we have worked with here have been incredibly kind and knowledgeable (I remember we also saw Dr. martindale once who was also amazing!). The Front desk team is always so kind and friendly too, and the techs seriously make my dogs feel so loved - one, Angela, even offered to help me get my car-averse dogs loaded up in my SUV last week! really thankful for their entire team.

I was loyal to this vet before they became Common Companion. Then one day my regular vet went on vacation and assigned another vet, which was fine with me, until they began asking questions about my dog health that happened two years ago instead of reading the history and getting to the current issue the dog was experiencing. I was not going to sit there and bring this vet up to date for several years when she should have read the chart, so I left. The next time I spoke to the regular vet (and owner), he barely listened to my account of what happened and scolded me because the other vet had already called him crying that I was rude. I never went back.

The doctors and staff at Common Companion are wonderful and really do their best for the pets in their care. I want to specifically acknowledge and thank Dr. Fultz who provided excellent care for our pup for several years and recently helped him transition on in the most peaceful and compassionate way. She was amazing and I can’t express with words how much we appreciate her. I also want to thank so many members of the CC team including the tech (Nikki) who showed Lambchop so much love on his last day, Jonee and Nikki at the front office, and so many others who helped us through a very difficult time.

We’ve been taking both our dogs to both locations for over a year (one is 6 and the other is a puppy) and we always have a great experience but today was exceptional. I tend to be hyper sensitive about every little thing with my dogs and Dr. Pearce and the office/practice manager answered every question with care and compassion and spent lots of time with us. We felt heard and reassured in all of our concerns. Even all of our billing questions were answered and gone over with care. Thank you team!!

I took my newly rescued dog, Moose, to see Dr. Dunbar. She was great! She was so nice and gentle to Moose, and was very professional. I’m also a first time dog owner, and she took her time answering all of my questions. The rest of the staff is very friendly too. After our visit, Dr. Dunbar even followed up via email regarding our visit and some of my questions. I totally trust my pup in their care and would 100% recommend.

Dr. Dunbar and her team were wonderful and calmed our nerves when our 7 year old calico got seriously Ill. She recommended medicine and after a couple of days my cat was back to her old self. The doctor followed up with us and we felt very well taken care of. The “nurse” was fantastic too, it was nice to have the same friendly deface at both locations. They are my go to Vet now!

Staff and vet were kind, thorough, and reassuring. The vet took time to sit with us and carefully explain everything from symptoms to treatment options, and then recommended and contacted a local emergency vet facility for us to pursue surgery options that they don’t do at Common Companion. We will absolutely be making this our regular vet!!

Absolutely fantastic service and care provided here. The doctors and staff have been extremely helpful in providing help and information necessary to properly diagnose my dog and assist me through the process of getting her treated. 10/10 service. Shout out to Celeste and Dr. Pearce who have specifically been extremely helpful to my case.

The whole staff here, and my dogs’s vet especially, Dr G (Mackenzie), are amazing. Super accommodating and so sweet to my big baby. They’re very knowledgeable and don’t push things that aren’t needed. Very fair pricing too. No complaints!
