Signed up for this gym in October and it’s been a great gym until today. First off there’s so many independent random trainers and think they run the gym. We have respect for people and their belongings and I’ve never seen or had this happen at any gym I’ve ever been at! So today my fiancé and I were working out and she put her draw string bag down on the seat of a machine to go to the bathroom. She was gone maybe 45 seconds and Valerie Haines the one trainer there grabbed her bag and moved it to another machine. Now I went up to her very nicely and explained how rude that was and she should know how rude and disrespectful it is to touch someone’s stuff because she’s a trainer. She legit didn’t care what I had to say at all and was very rude so I decided to talk to one of the partners to the gym and he stuck up for the trainer saying that anyone can touch or move someone’s belongings!! I said that’s crazy to me because people steal stuff! He said they have cameras and lockers for belongings. Ok? So I explained to him that people carry their attachments and what not with them and aren’t gonna go back and forth to a locker to get them. He said if he sets his gym bag down on a machine he expects someone to move it and he carries a pistol in it I was like ok and what if it would go off because someone moved your bag? All in all he didn’t care what I was trying to get at that it’s rude to just touch someone’s stuff. Like you ask the person when they get back to the machine. Just couldn’t believe he defended the trainer over something that is just common courtesy and he could of said sorry and he’d talk to her and make sure it didn’t happen again. So if you go to this gym and set your phone down or anything down just remember someone can do whatever they want with it because they have cameras. Very very disappointed at this outcome.

This gym is for fitness and lifting enthusiast ! Has all the equipment anyone would need, and it's nicely groomed and well kept. The trainers and other members establish a very motivating environment which I appreciate! I don't use a personal trainer (i kinda keep to myself), but there are quite a few trainers to chose from and they all seem very nice and professional! It's only 5 bucks to bring someone with you to the gym, not $15 or $20 like other gyms! Mark also has a nutrition shop right next to the gym, very affordable and convenient! Side note: it's frustrating to watch the owner of the gym putting back weights every time he's in the gym conducting business, so DON"T be lazy and have gym etiquette= PUT BACK THE WEIGHTS where you got them! I've been going here for several years and still love it! Support local business, stop going to Planet Fitness, and join Competitive Edge!

It's a great environment for serious-minded gym folks. A lot of competitive athletes train here. The place always looks closed because its heavily tinted and not great signage but don't let that discourage you from checking it out. The only semi-annoying thing for new visitors is its always locked up (no manned front desk) so you have to call a number on door to get access which might put off some people initially. I didn't mind it once I was a member as it gave that exclusive vibe and kept out foot traffic. The gym is on the small side so don't expect to have all types of equipment, but its clean and has most of what you need. The rates are good can cancel with 30 day notice like most with no contracts. Not open 24/7 but has extended hours of operation. I don't workout at 2am so no big deal for me. Overall I would recommend it.

There aren't enough words to describe this one of a kind locally owned gym! The owner also has a supplement store just a few doors down making it very convenient and easy for post workout needs all the way from protein and energy drinks to even frozen meals in a small freezer!!! The gym is everything you could ask for with a wide variety of equipment, which is always kept squeaky clean by the owner himself. If a machine does happen to get faulty, the owner replaces or fixes it with great turnaround time. Overall, this fits the definition of a one stop shop for any gym goer at any level!!! I just wish there were more gyms like this around!

Good vibe, not crowded and people actually working out. Older equipment, and cushions need to be repaired. I like the boxing area; they have long bags for punching and kicking. I personally don’t care about the aesthetics, I like a place where it’s not a photo session just sweat and tears. Dropped a star due to padding needing to be replace.

I like the gym but the music is very one sided. It would be great if they could mix it up. I literally like every genre of music and not picky but it's pretty obvious that they're not concerned about what their clientele likes.

Weights weigh what they should. Good liftin bros and chicks, and lots of fitness knowledge always there. Plenty of room and equipment, and reasonable rates, without the uptightness of corporate places like Planet Fitness.

Been going to this place since it was the first to open after the virus shut down. Lots of equipment. VERY CLEAN. Great weightlifting environment. Best gym in the area.

Great training facility with enough equipment to keep you busy and get that much needed training in. The owner was kind enough to let us in paying a small fee.

Fantastic gym. No frills, hardcore grit. Connected to a wonderful nutrition and supplement shop. Love it and it's great to have this place in our community.
