This is very long but I promise it is worth the read as I am clearly passionate about my experience- I am an honest person and would not leave a negative review if I felt that it was not deserved. If I could give zero stars to anyone, ID GIVE THEM ALL TO HIM. This Dentist is the worst I’ve ever been to- the worst encounter I’ve ever had with a medical professional in my life. He has the NASTIEST attitude, spoke to me very condescendingly and always laughed at the questions I had. At first, I thought maybe this was just his humor or how he is, but no, HE IS RUDE AND PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE. Earlier this year, I came to his office with a bad cavity which needed a root canal and crown. It took months to get my permanent crown installed, which was because of his availability and the many “steps” to the process. I had my permanent crown installed on August 25th and on October 31st it fell out and broke a good chunk of my real tooth with it. I went and saw him the next morning as a concerned patient since I paid nearly $1000 for the dental work. When I asked him questions to understand how or what could’ve caused what was supposed to be PERMANENT to fall out, he laughed at my questions and said it was my fault for chewing on the tooth. Let me make it clear that this tooth was supposed to be PERMANENT and there were no known food restrictions. Even without food restrictions, I was very conscious of what I ate and especially on which side I ate certain foods. Despite his demeanor with me in that visit, I was calm and told him I’d call back for a path forward. I later met with another dentist to get a second opinion and I showed her the crown. I even explained to her that I’ve had the crown in for just 2 months and she went on to explain that I should be either reimbursed or given partial coverage on the treatment plan. I took what she told me and called Coutin. When I got on the phone with him, immediately with aggression he said “Hi Nawal, what?” I went on to explain my conversation with the other dentist and before I could finish, he rudely interrupted asking “WELL DID YOU TELL HER YOU LEFT THE TEMPORARY CROWN IN FROM APRIL TO SEPTEMBER? HUH? DID YOU TELL HER THAT? DID YOU TELL HER WE WERE WAITING ON YOU? DID YOU?” and of course my response was no because that was simply not true. The temporary crown was in for as long as it was because of his office’s availability and the time it took to get a call back from HIM on when my permanent crown was delivered to his office. He went on to say that it’s not going to happen, that he refuses to reimburse me or provide support on the treatment plan. I asked why and he said that he did what he had to do and that it was my fault that the crown fell out because I was chewing on the tooth. I’m sorry, but where is the logic in this? Am I not supposed to chew on a permanent crown? It is extremely evident that my crown fell out due to the quality of work that was performed on my tooth and yet he has not taken any form of accountability and instead has played the blame game! I come on here to say, SPEND YOUR MONEY AND TIME ELSEWHERE! His quality of work is to the floor right next to his attitude and stank breath!!!

I was in NOLA for a vacation and was experiencing serious pain in one of my teeth. This tooth has been an issue for about a year now and my regular dentist back home has been telling me I needed to have it pulled. I’ve been putting it off because I never really experienced any pain until now. It was unfortunate I was on vacation, but I decided to go to the closest dentist and get it checked out. I figured it would need to be pulled. The pain was really really bad! He told me I had an abscess and the tooth needed to be pulled right away. I decided to go thru with the procedure because I was in so much pain. I’ve had dental work before and have received shots of novocaine, but when this dentist gave me shots it hurt so bad. I actually asked him what he was doing because it didn’t feel like a normal needle. He told me it was because of the abscess and reminded me again this is the reason this tooth needs to come out. He started pulling and pushing at my tooth, but the pain was so bad I had to stop him and tell him I couldn’t go thru with the extraction. He was upset with me, I could tell. I wasn’t upset with him at the time and apologized because I thought I was just being a baby and couldn’t deal with the pain. Well I come home back to jersey and see my regular dentist right away. He tells me I have an abscess and need to get on antibiotics before they pull the tooth. He said dr Coutin should have never attempted to pull and abscess tooth as it could cause further infection and I could have ended up a lot worse! Thank god I stopped him! I’ve since had the tooth pulled with no issue and no pain. I can’t believe dr Coutin put me thru that experience. It was the worst pain and worst experience of my life! How would he not know to give me antibiotics??? He obviously just wanted my money and didn’t care about my overall health. Do not see this dentist!

This was by far the WORST dentist I have ever been to. Not based on his work because I didn't even let him get that far but due to his NASTY attitude! First of all, I was in so much pain my tooth cracked and I needed it pulled immediately. He told me before he could even pull it I needed to pay $225. Which I was ok with. So I called my wife to see was the the best way to go as far as getting this tooth pulled. She said yes get it pulled because the problem is only going to get worse but she wanted to speak with the dentist to get some clarification on exactly what procedure was being done on me. As soon as she got the on the phone I could hear the dentist tone of voice was very unprofessional. He had the nastiest attitude with her and when she said "Sir, I'm not here to catch an attitude with you I'm just getting clarification on all this." my head immediately got HOT. Due to his attitude with my wife she decided that we were not giving him ANY of our money! Customer service is everything and this dentist just lost a good customer due to his attitude. We went to another dentist who charged more but I didn't mind paying more money because from the minute I walked in the door I was treated how a customer was suppose to be treated. If I could rate less that one star I would.

My wife and I were on vacation when a temporary crown came off. Her regular dentist had put the crown on her molar after determining that the tooth needed to be pulled. Since the extraction was expected to be difficult, she was referred to an oral surgeon. It was going to be several weeks before she could see the surgeon, so the temporary crown was expected to take care of her until then. After several attempts to put the crown back on, she finally did some Internet searches, finally selecting Coutin Dental based on feedback she found. They were extremely responsive, getting her in within a few hours. Once there, it was determined that the crown could not be restored due to some additional gum inflammation. Dr. Coutin carefully explained the options to my wife, then once again to me, before we decided to allow him to extract the tooth. The extraction went exactly as Dr. Coutin had explained, and the recovery as well. His friendliness and professionalism were outstanding, and the office staff were very friendly. If we lived in New Orleans, we would both have a new regular dentist!

First off im not one for reviews but this Dentist definitely deserves one. My husband and I have come to Dr. Coutin's office before and this visit was just as it was before. Professional, organized, and most importantly timely. I didn't receive any assistance today but my husband did and I know when I am ready to follow up it will be with Dr. Coutin. What I love most about his services is that nothing is a surprise. He's very informative and for me that is of grand importance I like to know what is happening, how it going to happen and why its taking place. Dr.Coutin is very good with that. In addition to his one of a kind service he has a front desk agent that is kind and knowledgeable. There's nothing more annoying then having questions and no one to answer them but thats not the case here. She actually made me feel like she knew me personally (not too familiar) yet in a professional yet comfortable manner. . . I can't explain GO TO THE OFFICE AND EXPERIENCE IT!!!!! You'll love this Dentist. I promise!

I came in for a annual visit for the first time. Had a hard time abt making appointment bec they ask a lot of things then i have to call insurance provider and made them call this office bec they had a hard time verifying on their end. Office was nice and clean. The service for tooth cleaning was quick. Only took 10mins and very painful which i never experience from other clinics before. My gums was in so much pain after the service. The dentist has heavy hands. He left the spit vaccum on my mouth the whole cleaning process which is against the practices and it is very uncomftable. No communication or anything happened, not very friendly. maybe they had a bad day idk. Nothing against them but I will not come back to this place.

Dr. Coutin is the best dentist I have ever been to. I am a coward when it comes to dental work and he was very gentle and quick. He took the time to explain everything to where I could understand it. I highly recommend him to anyone who is a coward like me, or anyone who is not. I have just completed a full mouth restoration and I am very pleased with the result. Update: It's been a few days now since I had a tooth pulled and I have to congratulate Dr. Coutin on his compassion and understanding of my panic attacks and his perseverance in dealing with me and my intense fear of dentist/dental work.

I️ was just in town to go on a cruise leaving port from New Orleans. I️ had fallen and shattered my two front teeth on a Monday night and the ship was leaving Wednesday. I️ contacted Dr. Coutin and he was able to get me in Tuesday morning. The staff was friendly from the minute I️ walked in and Dr. Coutin was extremely kind. He was also thorough in that he explained everything that he was going to do. I️ am forever grateful that I️ was able to come in on such short notice, and left with two crowns to get me through the rest of my vacation. I️ cannot thank Dr. Coutin and his staff enough!

Wonderful dentist and a great office. I have had numerous problems with dentists in the past but Dr. Coutin was great! He was on time, efficient, extremely knowledgeable, and he made sure to address all of my questions and concerns. You could tell that he really cared about his patients and he didn't recommend unnecessary procedures to make money. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, and this is coming from someone who DOES NOT like going to the dentist. Would recommend to everyone, and I will for sure be going back.

I had a filling pop out and Dr. Coutin responded as soon as I contacted him and arranged an appointment within hours despite it being the weekend. He opened his office during off hours for me and slowly and carefully treated the problem. Despite it being his day off he never rushed or seemed frustrated with the time it took. He was a great dentist explaining everything clearly and showed concern for my future care and for any discomfort during the work done.

Wow. I honestly can't believe this guy is allowed to see people. I wish I could give 0 stars!!! He is not only RUDE but provides false information. He doesn't care about patients and you can tell by his demeanor. He gives you a "take it or leave it" attitude and brushes your concerns off. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT SCHEDULE THAT APPOINTMENT. THERE IS A REASON WHY THERE ARE SO MANY AVAILABILITIES ON HIS SCHEDULE!! STAY AWAY!!!

Always a wonderful experience coming to see Dr. Coutin. Sometimes going to the dentist can be scary but its NOT like that here. Dr. Coutin and his staff are great. If anyone needs a new dentist this is definitely the place. They can always fit you in at your convenience and have even seen me on a Saturday afternoon when I had an emergency problem. I had a great experience with Mr Coutin. His my now and forever dentist. I highly recommend him to anybody. I've also told two of my closest friends body him. The environment is peaceful, they check up on you and alert you for next appointment a day before due. Their willing to work with your payment arrangements through all a great trip the dentist.

My experience with Dr. Coutin has been excellent. He is the most honest Dentist I have ever been to. He is very professional and treat you like family. I had a dental emergency while in New Orleans for a wedding. Dr Coutin saw me quickly, on a Saturday morning, repaired the damage and told me to call him if I had any other issues that weekend. He was kind and professional and did a great job on the repair. Thank you for saving me from a what could have been a disastrous weekend.

An office without a dental hygienist or customers. Took 2 visits to complete a root canal. "didn't see the other nerve in the x-ray" REALLY. Suffered for 10 days. And wanted to charge me more money. STAY AWAY

Horrible dentist! No hygienist and he sent my son back to college with a cavity! He told him he had a cavity and to brush his teeth and it will just go away! Now he is back in college with a cavity!!! UGH!
