Craigieburn Station

The amenities are not respected by the people. Hence the waiting room is not well maintained, the toilets? I would never go there. This is a busy station serving a lot of people from many suburbs, they need to build better and cleaner toilets please. The bus stop should be properly sheltered IMO. The bus stop on the other aide of the station also needs a shelter/cover. Now that the other car park is fully operational and there are so many people coming from that side I think they should put a bigger screen somewhere just at the entrance from the side, like the one on the main side so people can see timings of the available services.

yeah nah... Parking is an absolute joke here. Everyone wants to catch the 6am train and all parking is gone by 5.55am. There is so many things wrong about parking spaces and getting in and out of the station for commuters. People needs to use level crossing to change platforms, during peek hours all roads heading to and from station gets easily congested and can add about 10-15 minutes to the usual time. The new car park is all the way on other side of the road and getting there from Craigieburn side is another 10-15 minutes. The existing car park needs to go and replaced with a multi Storey park to accommodate the traffic

I experienced very rude and condescending customer service from a male staff member. Refused to accept my Tertiary Card ID application for not being stamped even though it was. I even showed them the email from my University stating the form was prestamped. His response was "I don't care about your email". Luckily, I was traveling to the city so I handed in the form and got my Tertiary Card ID at Melbourne Central. The staff member that refused the form said "I've been working here for 10 years, I know what I'm doing". Evidently, that isn't the case and I suggest you improve your attitude in the future.

Considering how many people take this line they need a major upgrade to the trains. There’s always delays no matter how early you go, they get full really quickly because there aren’t enough trains coming back and forth. They say something like only 5% of train delays which is bs because I pretty much take this train everyday and there’s always delays. PTV service needs to update this line it’s the most povo one out of all the lines. There are always mykie inspections and the amount of fines they give out should at least go towards upgrades but they just put it in their pocket. Save travels

Customer service by this short hair old lady is terrible!! I usually catch a v line or drive. First time I got metro from Craigieburn towards city. When I went for the info I saw her playing on her iPad so I just did a slight tap on the outside counter to get her attention but she just yelled at me asking why I am tapping!! I tried to explain calmly and apologised but she continuously kept screaming at me! Luckily the other young lady intervened and gave me the info!! I was shocked!! Date was 08-08-2019 around 5:45pm.

Parking is a joke, you literally have to arrive before 5:30am to find a spot!.... The level pedestrian crossing is painfully inconvenient and dangerous, considering the station services a population of over 60,000. To say a major upgrade is in order would be an understatement. In saying this, any improvements to the station are probably dependent on works to surrounding infrastructure (eg. Craigieburn Road).

Customer Service staff... Very rude at Craigieburn Station. There is train replacement starts from 6th April. I was reading the poster, I found it bit confusing so I asked one of the staff at counter and I asked few questions and her replies were “this is what poster says” “this is what poster says”. On every question she replied this with rude expressions. Like seriously???

I have noticed that it is starting to get earlier and earlier now when trying to find a carpark space. You could get one before 6:30am but now it is looking like 6:00am. Scary! Especially with the growing population! Unfortunately the bus service doesn't seem to work in conjunction with the train timetable. Where is this multi storey carpark they promised?

No parking after 6am, most ignored station by govt. Need more parking spaces with more friendly staff at station. Even buses timetable doesn't match with train timetable. First you have to wait for bus and then wait for train...most precious time goes in commuting, that can be someone's family time or can used for staying healthy (gym etc).

This station is so messed up. Earlier they announced that the next train departing to the city is 7:16 am when it was supposed to be 7:07 am resulting most of the people to cross over to the other platform thinking that the train is departing from that platform. Such a messed up station. It’s not the first time this has happened.

STILL a level crossing. All wending machines broken. Indoor waiting room stinks. Train service to Craigieburn gets disrupted frequently; there is no alternative except the Buses Replacing Trains (BRT) all the way to/from Essendon. One of the most problematic train lines of Melbourne Metro. All of this needs a complete overhaul.

The station very urgently needs an upgrade; it needs an overhead bridge and lifts to cross from one platform to the.other. Passengers.have to cross the level crossing to access platforms, which is a risk. Toilets need to be upgraded and kept clean. The upgrade of Craigieburn railway station is long overdue. has been neglected.

If you are heading towards CBD, The cut off time to get into the last few available car parks is around 5:55am. EVERYONE is catching the 6:01am departure train. Until the new car park expansion occurs (seems like at least another year or two), good luck unless you like gettting up way to early to get into the city.

Needs more parking. For such a large suburb with such a big population and only one station, it is in desperate need for more parking spaces. Build a multistory parking lot or something. If you come after 7, your only hope for parking is maybe Coolaroo station.

It feels really badly constructed, its in a very bad location and there is a literal mess with the siding rails. They need to remove the passenger level crossing and give it a nice makeover. Like Roxy, it does it's job well enough and the bus bays are modern.

Don't really know what needs to be said , the station caters to the needs of the public ! On most nights they usually have a police presence so that's a bonus for the public although a sad fact in today's world.

Update 8/9/22: Since the new parking opened up, access isn't as stressful as it was a couple of years ago. Bit of a walk, but hey, after what happened with the COVID pandemic, I'm not complaining.

Trains on this line are mostly late or cancelled. Only advantage is that while going to work in the morning you can find a seat to sit. The parking situation is pathethic and its very congested.

Toilets are always not clean Parking is always not available in weekdays in morning after 6:30 am till evening !!!! Weekend can park! Seriously this station need more parking space

Train and busses are not sync. At the same time Train arrived , bus leaves the station so need to wait 20min for next bus.which didnt stop for 10 seconds to picck more passengers.

You need parking, it's pathetic. I have to drive to work every time I can't get a car park. What's the point of a station when you can't park your car. PATHETIC REALY

Not enough parking considering it's the end of the line and a large suburb. Train platforms for departures change with little warning. PA system needs to be clearer.

This suburb is totally neglected by govt.nt enough wide roads no car parks too much traffic.somerton road and mickelem road too much traffic only 60 km zone roads .

Very disappointed with the staff working (short hair lady) at the Craigieburn station. rude towards customers and not helpful when asked some questions....

Cold, dirty, and not user friendly at all. Need to go around the station to get from one platform to another

Hope they do something with the rude old lady in staff!! She needs training in customer service for sure.

It's not a particularly great station, it's staffed at least and the pedestrian access is good enough.
