I almost never leave reviews, but this place completely blew me away; I honestly wish I could leave 10 stars! I am a (very) amateur biker who's been dreaming of becoming a triathlete, bike-commuter, and just generally a stronger and more confident rider. I bought my previous bike for $100 used, and it was quite a disappointment. It was sufficient for 'commuting' the mile to and from my college campus, but not much more... I went to Cranky's yesterday in search of a road bike, and it was one of my best shopping experiences in recent memory. Luke, the employee who helped me, was simply OUTSTANDING! I told him from the beginning that I was an amateur biker and was therefore going to have a lot of "stupid" questions, and he was so kind and patient and explained everything to me in terms I could understand and never made me feel like I didn't belong. He stayed with me personally for nearly two hours, from sizing me to picking out the bike to showing me how to care for it and more. I left the store feeling like a million dollars, and that was in large part due to Luke's attentiveness, humility, and overall kind/welcoming demeanor. I also greatly appreciated that no one at the store tried to push more expensive purchases on me. Road bikes can run you as much money as a car, and I went in with an absolute MAX budget of $1000, and they found me the perfect bike for only $800. They almost helped 'outfit' me with bike lights, a new helmet, chain lube, etc.--all of which were discounted like the bike. Overall, I highly recommend Cranky's because they're a welcoming/inclusive, affordable local bike shop with excellent customer service and without an elitist bent.

My friends and I shipped our bikes here for a bike touring trip starting from SLC, and they charged us for **maintenance and assembly we did not ask them to do. They *lost my friend’s helmet and did not even offer a discount for the purchase of a new one. Would not recommend using Cranky’s for bike touring trips. *the helmet was found once my friend showed them a picture proving the helmet was in the shipped box **the “tune-up” supposedly included in the $85 charge left much to be desired - once starting our bike tour, I quickly realized that 1.) My front chain rings didn’t shift properly (I could only shift between the second and third front gears) and 2.) My handlebars were not tightened and were slipping back and forth in the clamp. I’m not suggesting that Cranky’s caused the former issue, but if they charge me $85 for a tune-up, I would expect to be able to shift gears properly. The latter issue, however, is completely unacceptable. Anyone with a hex wrench should be able to sufficiently tighten the handlebars on a bike.

Can’t say enough good about this place. I recently bought a bike here. It wasn’t the first time I’ve been bike shopping, though. I knew what I wanted to do, but didn’t know what bike best suited me- most bike shops tried to sell me on their “flagship” models (probably whatever got close to my requirements and had he largest margin or bonus from the dealer). He listened. He provided information. He was patient. He didn’t push. Incredible amount of knowledge- but when he didn’t know something, he didn’t try to lie about it... They stand behind their work. Very reasonable prices! There’s plenty of reasons why Cranky’s has been around for a while, and why they’ll be around for a while. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do. Despite the negative reviews, you’ll have a good experience here. Don’t be a jerk and expect handouts, or that “the customer is always right.” Just like any business (or individual), they have a right to stand up for themselves when someone tries to bully or take advantage of them.

Do not service your bike here, the owner will basically write off your issues and take your money. Clearly a lack of quality or care for their customers and it shows. I bought a new wheel, had it made tubeless and added a rim cushion before a race. At the race the following weekend it had a slow leak. I took it into the shop and said "this has an issue, it's not leaking fluid but losing air" and he just said "it needed fluid". I asked if they could inspect it to be sure, because I had a trip planned and needed to rely on it. They just added fluid to it and gave it back and charged me. I had a worse leak on my trip needing to pump it every 10 minutes of riding and eventually had to take it all out and put in a tube. When changing the tube i found the rim tape shredded up which was causing the leak through a hole that is in the raceface rim. Bottom line is, they didn't listen to my problems, they wrote me off and charged me for poor quality work that has now impacted a race and bike packing trip.

I have purchased three bikes from Chris at Cranky's over the past 3 years. In addition to these purchases, I have sent three very close friends to Chris for his exemplary service that Cranky's is known for. The owner of Crank'y is a racer and a real pro, who cares more for his customers safety and comfort, than just selling a bike or gear to get you out the door. Whether you are racer or not, you get the same great service and care form the staff. Two of my purchases have been for bikes that my son uses for racing. If Chris did not see a great fit for me or my son, he would recommend another venue for our purchases. This type of service and insight is a rarity in the retail business, and keeps us coming back. Trust is huge! We probably all could save a few dollars buying online, but you will never receive the expertise and follow through you get at Cranky's, with their talented and knowledgeable staff. Thank you Chris!!

Forewarning: I know nothing about bikes and only use mine for leisurely riding around SLC. I just picked up my bike from here and I'm very happy with Cranky's work and customer service. I came here because my rear brake stopped working, and also to get thorns out of my tires. I didn't think my bike rode bad before it got fixed (again, know nothing about them) but now that it's been tuned up boy do I feel the difference! He rides 10x smoother than before, and I think they even cleaned him up since he looks shinier than when I dropped him off. I can't speak to how reasonable or not reasonable their prices are since I don't have anything to compare this service to (never been to a bike shop till' now), but I included a photo of the itemized receipt for the work done on my bike for your reference. Overall, I'm stoked with the service here, so I'll definitely be back when needed.

  • John Carpenter

I've been very impressed by Cris and Cranky's. while we've been using the shop for maintenance and repairs, so far, I'm planning to pick up my next bike here, as well. The prices for work and parts have been very fair and with each tuneup, the mechanic has found additional maintenance to be done, but given an honest opinion of whether he thinks it needs to be done. I'm also happy (and slightly annoyed) to say that they have caught and fixed poor work from another local shop. Most importantly, it's simply a pleasant experience going to Cranky's. They have accommodated my odd schedule and Cris is nice guy, whether we're chatting or I'm in a rush to get in and out. I've been turned off to "LBS's" for a while because each felt like walking into a clique of friends, but Cranky's just feels different. Great shop.

  • Erik Pedersen

I went in to get a dropper post installed and the front derailer removed. After I went in and they ordered the parts, they told me to wait a week. A week came and went with no call, so I called them up and they told me the order was never placed. They place the order and tell me to wait another week. The order comes in and I bring my bike in and reiterate what I want done. Front derailer removed and dropper post installed. A few days and they let me know my bike is done. I go in and they didn't remove the front derailer. I was upset, but not the end of the world, but now my cockpit is cluttered. I go on 4 rides and the remote cable has snapped and my dropper doesn't work anymore. All in all, bad customer service and bad quality service. I won't be going back

Needed some new tubes and was thinking of trying out some latex tubes (and was even open to getting that newer tpu material that's supposed to be more puncture resistant). Heard good things about crankys so I stopped in just have some butyl rubber tubes tossed on the counter in front of me and then was given a mini lecture about how "all tubes are the same and made in the same factory". Don't know if the dude behind the counter just doesn't know what he was talking about or he was just out of patience that day, but I sure didn't leave the store feeling good. Take this review for what it is though, just a single person's experience. I know they have a good reputation so hopefully the person behind the counter was just having an off morning

The staff and owner (I think) are very knowledgeable and capable. I drove 1.5 hours out of my way to look at a bike here because the deal seemed too good to be true. It was both good and true, and I ended up buying the bike and so far am VERY happy with it. They have a lot of inventory for such a small shop, and seemed able to customize and mix/match your ride however you want. They sell a lot of Salsa and Felt brands, along with many other smaller names. The owner, coincidentally, seemed a little cranky, but also seemed like a professional expert on anything dealing with bikes. I'd recommend this shop for any bike mechanic problem and great deals on quality bikes - just make sure you're polite and stay on their good side ;)

  • Brandon Dubovik

Really cool shop, great selection, knowledgeable staff. I think they might be a little short staffed and their recent salsa sale was so good, I've never seen that place so busy. Small shops need to survive too so I get the extra costs associated with setting up tubeless on new bikes and the longer wait times to get your bike built. My local shop had ordered, received, and built my bike in about 3 days. They did all the setup for free (tubeless, removing reflectors, etc) and gave me all the spare parts, (tubes, pedals, rockshox fork tokens), but I've built a relationship with that shop for years. For SLC, I think Crankys is the best shop and my wife is stoked to have her new bike.

  • Mr M

A bike shop is only as good as their mechanic... I'm sure all of the mechanics here are great, but Johnny worked on my bike. This guy knows what he is talking about. He took the extra time to explain to me the different issues my bike was having after he had worked on it. He fixed my bike and diagnosed some issues which were not very straightforward at all like various parts that were ever so slightly bent. It's great to have confidence in your bike mechanic when you just can't quite seem to figure out what's going on at home. I am always somewhat skeptical of paying for labor at a bike shop until I know the mechanic there is a good one. I recommend this shop.

  • Carlos Francisco Rivera

These guys are the real deal. Anything bike related come here. You want next level service and inventory come here. You want knowledge and proper guidance come here. I came across them by recommendation from a friend. They treated me with respect and Chris, the owner, took time to answer my questions and help me understand what it means to have a properly sized bike. There new space on 800 south is amazingly organized and spacious enough to test ride a bike. All types of bikes can be found here and you can watch them repair bikes in the back. They also off military discount on parts and accessories which is cool. I highly recommend.

  • Amy Meyer

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Cranky's. They had a great assortment of bikes, best prices, and amazing service. Although I have been riding bikes forever, it was my first time buying instead of fixing up a cheap bike. The owner spent hours on multiple days helping me understand all the options, test ride, and decide what is best for me. He also took the time to give tips on learning to use clip-in pedals. He knows so much about bikes, and still communicates well with those of us who don't. Happy to support a local business that gives back to our community, and love having complete confidence in the bike I bought!

  • Michael Martinez

These folks have been incredibly helpful every time that I have come in. They have assisted me in picking the exact bike to match my needs, been transparent and fair about all the service that I have gone in for, are also knowledgable about their craft, and helpful when you have questions. I go there for almost all of my bike work, and feel good about it because they're a solid local business that is a part of the fabric that makes up this city. I'm only just now writing this review however because I got chain grease on my favorite hoodie the other day & they told me to get it out with dish soap and it worked.

  • Peter Smolke

Great first experience at the shop. Came in with a rear derailleur and hanger that were both bent badly and the guys, and Clint specifically, were quick to take care of me. They were able to troubleshoot my specific problem despite exact replacement parts not being available (those parts weren’t available at a few other shops either, but at Cranky’s they actually offered a concrete solution) and got my ride rolling again just as good as it was before. Friendly crew, addressed exactly what I asked for, quick turnaround and all priced generously to accommodate a student budget - exactly what I was looking for.

  • rhianna campbell

Bought a new bike from Cranky's about a month ago and the service was great! Two people helped me in store, ensuring I understood the specs of the different bikes, and let me test ride several around the block, encouraging me to go again for comparison's sake. They didn't rush me or try to force me into any decisions I wasn't ready or didn't want to make. They listened to what I was looking for and provided several options that fit my requirements and budget. All around great experience! I would definitely buy from Cranky's again, if I had the choice to do it over!

  • M R

Awesome shop, been going there for years now and really impressive to see how much they're growing while still holding on to the boutique LBS feel. No "corporate" atmosphere, yet absolutely top-tier range of products and services, from reflectors to Enve wheels, a quick headset press to suspension re-build. Super friendly staff who always make time for the bizarre maintenance/service requests I bring to them, and complete them exceptionally well at very reasonable price. In short, would highly recommend Cranky's to everyone from beginners to seasoned veterans!

  • Ian Hefflefinger

I live literally a stones throw from Contender, but come here instead. I service my own bikes as much as I can and I appreciate that Cranky's feels more like a mechanics shop and less like a dealership. They have had all the parts, tools, and advice that I have needed. The few times I have run into issues fixing or diagnosing an issue, they have been able to resolve the issue quickly at little to no cost. Cris (the owner?) and his team are knowledgable and focused. I will be using this bike shop from this point forward.

  • Denver Smith

I brought my bike in to have them tune up a few things. I was expecting to drop it off and come back in a few days, but surprisingly, they took it right back and performed the tune up on the spot. The mechanic was friendly and helpful - he answered my questions, and showed me what he was doing to fix the problems on my bike. Very reasonably priced too. They have a wide variety of bikes: mountain, road, track/fixed gear, gravel, etc. I would recommend this shop to others, and I will be back for sure.

  • D Brown

Great bike shop. Luke was extremely helpful with replacing my old bike that was totaled. He took a lot of time to put my accessories on my new bike, and then after clarification with my insurance company, he helped me with exchanging the next day to a bike that was more what I wanted. Cranky’s has also done some repairs for me in the past and two tuneups, and they have always stood by their work. Very impressive customer service and they have the best selection of Bianchi’s in the area.

  • Rowdy Sluggins

I just bought a new bike from Cranky's and couldn't be happier. The folks there are super nice, knowledgeable, and actually ride a lot of miles on the brands they carry. The selection was great: Bianchi, Felt, and a bunch of others (anyone who doesn't think those are as good as the franchise brands: Trek, Specialized. etc... just doesn't know anything about bicycles). They found me a great bike at a great price, and made sure it fit me and was tuned to perfection. Thanks Cranky's!

  • Shawna Bleazard

I just purchased a bike at Cranky’s and I am delighted with my bike. The selection is much better than any other bike shop as they carry excellent bikes in many different brands. I will certainly buy future bikes from Cranky’s and highly recommend their shop. It is nice to know of a place in Salt Lake that will take care of serious to weekend bikers who want quality merchandise at a fair price. The owner and those who worked at Cranky’s were helpful and fair. Thank you, Cranky’s.

  • Randy Hightower

Chris and Kevin have been great!! I purchased my bike not too long ago and I am new to the bike scene, so inevitably I have had to go in for minor adjustments. These guys always get right to the repair and get my bike in order as fast as they can. These guys have been helpful from the start, from picking out the bike to making sure it is well maintained, they have done their best to ensure that I have been pleased with the services they provide. I am glad that I chose Cranky's!!

  • Monica Buterbaugh

I LOVE this bike shop!! They are knowledgeable and very customer oriented. They took the time to explain the issues with my bike as well as show me and teach me a few tricks so I am able to make some adjustments on my own. So many shops have become big they leave you feeling like just another number, but not Cranky's. They take the time to get to know you, not just the problems with your bike. I can not recommend them enough!! Thanks guys for being so awesome!!

  • Boman Farrer

Awesome bike shop! I walked in one minute before they closed to get a quick part. My past experience with walking into bike shops that close to closing is they treat you like dirt but not these guys. Everyone in there was super friendly and helpful. I only needed a couple spoke nipples and they had closed out the register already so they just let me take them no charge. They just earned my business for the big ticket items I purchase in the future.

  • Ashley Hall

We had an amazing experience at Cranky's!!!! Clint was knowledgeable and didn't rush us at all. He answered all our questions, and was very willing to let us try as many bikes as we wanted. We would definitely recommend Cranky's if we are looking for a new bike or any other biking related service. We ended up buying two Salsa gravel bikes and all the accessories needed. We will be utilizing Cranky's for all our future bike related needs.

  • Andrew Armstrong

This bike shop was excellent and has a super cool vibe. The shop and building itself were both super cool. I needed a bike shop to pick up a few things after flying into town and I'm really glad I chose Cranky's. The employees were very friendly and helpful and the prices were quite fair. I've been to countless bike shops all over the country and world and this one is now near the top of the list and will be my "go to" shop when in SLC.

  • Erin Johnson

These guys are fantastic! When I brought my bike in for a tune up they were totally up front about what might need replacing in the future rather than pushing a need to replace it right now. Recently I bought bar tape from them and then discovered that the handlebar end caps that came with the bar caps didn't fit, so I swung by the store and they helped me find a new pair from their surplus, no charge. Great store, great people!

  • Dominic Simpson

I had a wonderful experience at Crankys. I came in late, without an appointment looking to have a couple of tubeless tires set up. The mechanic was accommodating, super friendly and even ended up fixing a few other small things he came across. The shop is beautiful with a really wonderful selection of parts and equipment. I will for sure be back as needs present. I really appreciate the outstanding customer service. Thank you!

  • Clotilde Cannon

This is a great bike shop! Not only do they do excellent work, the turn-around time is quite quick and the service is very personable. To top it all, these guys stand for a cause of importance: animals and sustainable diets. Support these fellows and your bike will be well addressed as well as knowing your money is being spent at a business with values and consideration for the betterment of the world at large! Go Cranky's!

  • Stephanie Taras

One of the best gear buying experiences of all time, if not the best. The team here is so friendly, really took the time to figure out what I want and let me test things out. Great inventory despite the times. Just overall an impeccable experience - staff, service and location, not to mention really fun branded merch. Will definitely be coming here exclusively for any and all bike needs going forward. THANK YOU CRANKY’S!!

  • David Cacanindin

Cranky’s is my bike shop. Period! All of their products are vegan. They have a vegan racing team. They have the best mechanics in Utah. They carry everything you could ever need. Their staff are welcoming and endlessly helpful. Cranky’s is more than just a bike shop that rivals my favorite shops in CA, OR, WA, NC, DC, and NY. Cranky’s is a family and a community. Get off Amazon and buy local from these wonderful people.

  • William Wang

Great selection and great staff! Clint helped me out tremendously looking for my first gravel bike, he guided me through different styles and trim levels and even assembled a bike the same day so I could ride them and compare one against another. In the current market these guys seemed to have the most stock. Would definitely purchase my next bike and accessories from here again!

  • Tessa Galland

I haven't purchased bikes here, but have purchased parts and come for repairs on my heavily used commuter bike several times. The repair shop caught an irritating issue causing constant flats in one tire that others had missed. Yesterday I went in to get some pedals put on since I was missing the proper tools, and they did it free of charge. I appreciate the attention to detail.

  • Scott Shaffer

I’ve been using this shop for a few years for parts and service and they’ve always been really helpful. I just finished building up a new bike and I appreciate all the staff at Cranky’s for the help they’ve provided. They have a good inventory of parts and if they don’t have something they were great about ordering parts and getting it to me quick. Check these guys out!

  • Adam E

I’ve called around to multiple bike shops to get compatible parts for a new bike build. After figuring out sizing I went to Cranky’s‘s for a headset. They took their time and found the exact parts needed so I could ride my new bike frame this day. Thomas and Chris were very helpful and took the time to help me find the correct headset bearings. They are awesome!

  • Jack

Super knowledgeable staff! They helped me navigate the world of building a fixed gear bike and they also helped me setup a new pair of wheels for my road bike! They have all that know-how with none of the condescension that bike shops sometimes have. They also have a lot of stuff in stock at a good price and they make ordering things they doming have a breeze.

  • Big J.

Chris, Clint, Kevin ,and Luke helped me rebuild my gravel bike to a fancy Schmancy gravel/mullet bike. These guys are great! If your looking for no Nonsense bicycle repair and advise this is the place to go. They have never tried to sell me garbage or something I don’t need. Thanks for the great customer service and relaxed shopping experience. Big. J.

  • Scott Epstein

Cranky’s is the place to go if you’re looking for a fat tire bike in Salt Lake City. You can tell that the team at Cranky’s loves bikes. They have a very large selection of bikes in the shop and will customize your bike to fit your budget. I have been to most bike shops in SLC and would highly recommend Cranky’s for a new bike purchase or repair.

  • Rylee Carling

I set up an appointment to have my bike in for a tune-up, and they had me drop it off a day early in case they could take care of it sooner. The next day, I got a call about what they were planning on fixing, and then 2 hours later, a call saying it was ready to be picked up. I am so impressed with Cranky’s and will definitely come to them again!

  • Robert Congdon

Cranky's has more than exceeded my expectations with buying a bike and working through the various issues that came up since then. I had a particularly stubborn issue that required multiple visits and thanks to their patience, diligence, and guidance we eventually found a great solution. You really can't go wrong at this shop!

  • Pete Whiting

I needed a headset replaced. The shop was responsive to email, able to schedule a time, and did the replacement efficiently and quickly. Luke and others were nice to talk to, knowledgeable, and helpful. This is why local bike shops exist: professional competent service. I'm about 40 minutes away but it was worth the drive.

  • Dave Kunetka

Really great experience. It's a no-frills shop that cuts to the chase and just focuses on the bikes. It did not feel at all like an up-sale type of place. The help I got was just focused on what kind of riding I wanted to do. I feel like I got the best bike for my wants, and at a price I was happy with. Highly recommend!

  • Outdoor Pilgrim

Fantastic service by Clint during my recent bike purchase. He talked through all my options, providing lots of pros and cons - without trying to pushing me toward a specific option. In the end, I'm in love with the bike I ended up with and I'd definitely return for my future bike needs! Great selection too.

  • Brenton Handa

Bought a bike yesterday for the first time in several years. Great selection, knowledgeable staff, and super friendly. Luke absolutely set me up and answered a ton of questions about bike capabilities. Best bike shop I’ve been to in Salt Lake City, will return for my accessories and add ons, no question.

  • Ian Johnson

Great spot to get a bike, have service done or just geek out a little bit. Everyone here is super accommodating, easy to communicate with and happy to teach you some new things about bikes as well. The new space they opened up on 8th south is awesome and they have way more space to work with now.

  • Jonathan Rice

I live in Maryland. Unfortunately, never stepped foot in this shop. They had a bike I wanted and that were willing to ship it to me. Excellent online buying experience. Bike arrived as described and I'm a happy guy. One day, I'll make it out to Utah and I'll stop by to say thanks in person!

  • Jed Wilson

Its a good shop but they weren’t open when the signs says they should’ve been. Drove down here and had to go to another shop because the front door was gated up 20 minutes after when they should’ve opened. Frustrating. Also, the hours on google are different then what their sign says.

  • Lousje Rooker

I have visited Cranky's twice to see if they could help me with problems my husband was having with his two rolling walkers. Both times, the technicians spent time assessing and then fixing the problems. They were knowledgeable, patient, and most of all kind. I highly recommend them!

  • Lori Campbell

Getting back in to biking after an injury sidelined me and was looking for a new shop with selection and service, hard to find both in Salt Lake, and these guys nailed it. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and patient with my endless questions. I think I've found my new shop!!

  • Julian Jurkoic

My favorite bike shop in salt lake! I'm a bit of a bike noob fixing up an old 90s bike, and they're always super helpful when I go in. Never feel like I'm judged for not knowing things which is often a fear when I go into a shop not knowing something. Super professional guys.

  • Jennifer Christiansen

Honestly for me, a bike shop is almost 100% about the people who work there. Cranky's is awesome. None of the condescending bike attitude, and all of the knowledge and skill. Amazing mechanics and employees. Plus, they carry great gear and a nice range of bikes. Go there.

  • Sarah Keady

Matt was incredibly helpful and thorough! I needed my brakes checked and a simple tune since I hadn’t been able to ride since last summer. Matt was great! Strong communication, knowledgable, excellent work! I will definitely be a regular here for my mountain bike needs.

  • Laura D

Excellent service! They were able to help me with a bike repair other shops were not able to help with. Workers are extremely nice and responsive as well. I will be making this my new bike shop! Highly recommend their services. Thanks for your help!!

  • andrew mcmillan

Needed to get a seatpost cut to fit a bike I was installing a dropper post. Was told they were 1-2 weeks out on most service but they could squeeze in my post in 10 minutes while I waited. Gave me advice on installing internal droppers, had

Cranky's was the 4th shop I stopped into when looking for a new road bike. I'm 6'4" so it's tough to find stuff in my size for a test ride, especially with the supply shortage due to covid. But to my surprise Cranky's had a beautiful bike

  • David Wilk

I came in to this shop via a KSL ad for a closeout special and had no idea what to expect. Chris (cranky) showed me around to a number of options and I became suspicious when he seemed to steer me away from what looked like the best deal,

  • Jane Stringham

These are the same great mechanics I was bringing my bike to at Cyclesmith—I’m so glad to see that a new, local shop cropped up in the same location. It’s super convenient for me as a U student. My wheels were recently stolen near campus,

  • Brett Woodward

Cranky’s is the best. Great vibe inside, incredible selection, and whether you’re spending a lot or a little I always see them treat everyone with respect and it never feels like you’re wasting their time (which is how I feel at times in

  • Spencer sk

10 out of 10 would not recommend this place. They were a bit snarky about the bike work I was requesting when I went in, then they failed to set my deraileur limiters after assembly so surprise surprise my chain skipped into the wheel,

  • Fernando Cuevas

I love this place, highly recommend. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Great customer service, and I just love the overall vibe of the place. The guy who helped, fixed our bike so fast, he was really cool and friendly too.

  • Brady H

I have had two positive experiences with the service at Cranky's. The first was a purchase; I am a bit larger than average and needed a taller frame...not only did they fit me perfectly, but the components also exceeded my initial

  • Warwick Poole

These guys really saved me by doing a rush brake bleed on my bike so I could ride the next day. Super cool people here, and the store is large with really excellent inventory. I recommend Cranky's very highly. You should go here.

  • James Leonard

Had a truly outstanding experience with Crankys. I’ve generally had positive experiences with other bike shops in the area. But Crankys really takes the cake for no pressure sales, great customer service, and problem resolution.

Poor customer service. All the employees are too busy to answer questions. I ended up going to another bike shop where an employee and I discussed the purchase of a new bike. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I had an ebike and called to bring it in last minute and they said they could take a look turns out a loose wire and it was quick fix. Just had to plug it in and ready to go. They were so nice about my silly mistake.

Love this place.I’ve taken my ripmo to them a few times for service. Most recently they were able to service my bike super quick despite it being high season. I’ve only had great experiences and plan to go back.

Cranky's was helpful in getting me the finishing bits and pieces to complete my custom gravel build. They listened to me, and together we solved for solutions to complete the build. Thanks guys. I'll be back.

It took a little bit to get parts cause of COVID and SE Racing but Cranky’s rocks as my bike has never ridden better. Thanks a lot for the great service! The tune you did is GREAT!

Needed help installing a star nut. Cranky's was the only place able to help same day. Service was fast and very nice. The shop is also awesome and has a sick vibe. 10/10 recommend

Great selection of good quality bikes, and they have everything else you could possibly need, to the tiniest of little o-rings! Great group of lads working at this shop too.

  • Ryan and Melissa Musial

I ordered a new Salsa bike online and had it shipped to me, so this review pertains to their online customer service, I can’t speak for their in person sales.

  • Jonathan S

The good news is they had the bicycle I was looking for, in the size I was looking for, which, given the current market, was a challenging proposition.

Best bike shop in SLC. They've helped me out on countless occasions from giving me a bike box to providing advice to start me on touring.
