I absolutely LOVE Crumbuns. The mini Belgians are my absolute fav, they remind me of my great granny’s and truly warm my heart. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the pinky’s up tea experience It is such a lovely experience with a wide variety of teas to choose from. The apple crisp butter tarts remind me of my beautiful mom (who’s passed) apple crumble pies. Everything about this bakery will make you feel such a feeling of home. I truly don’t understand the negative reviews in regards to pricing- it’s quite ignorant in my opinion. It is a luxury experience to be able to purchase hand baked goods with high quality ingredients. Have you seen the cost of butter lately? The level of entitlement is unreal. Many bakeries that I’m aware of charge much more for butter tarts- if anything I feel the owner should be charging more. Bakeries I frequent in other areas- in example, west Lincoln- they are charging almost $20 for a latte and pastry. It’s not that something is too expensive- it just may be out of your own budget. If that is the case I’m sure you could reroute yourself to a food basics or other grocer that makes factory pastry to best accommodate your budget. I on the other hand absolutely love supporting businesses in my community because I know it is their heart, how they put food on their tables and support their families. Humble yourself before you come for a small business because everyone I know has only positive things to say about this pink gem I will always support this bakery. Everything is absolutely beautiful 10/10

I was excited to try this bakery/cafe especially since its a small local business. Unfortunately I was disappointed . There didn't seem to be much of a selection and there were products from another bakery for sale in the display case. I asked whether they had any butter tarts and the person behind the counter gave me a story about how there was none and there was a complete lack of interest by anyone to make any. He went on for a few minutes with his complaining and I felt like I was being his personal venting board. I might have bought something else but the negativity turned me off. I would love to give this place a second chance, but not sure I will. Update: I went back and the selection was no different. Despite it being a café it was not very welcoming. I went around noon on a Saturday (long before closing) and all the chairs were turned upside down on the tables making it feel like they didn't want you to stick around. I gave them 2 chances now, unfortunately I will be giving my business to some place else.

We placed our first order yesterday, and added to it 30 minutes before our scheduled pickup time at 12 noon today. Everything was ready when I arrived to pick up the order. The service was great and friendly and I paid with my debit card by tap. Now for the best part! My wife and I had date squares and they were without question the best, or as good as the best we have ever had. We got the cheesecake assortment, cinnamon buns and Empire cookies for our daughter and her family. They report that visually the cheesecake assortment was beautiful and the taste was “amazing, really good”. The cinnamon buns and cookies were equally as delicious! Verdict is that we shall return and we highly recommend to any readers they try Crumbuns and we are sure you will agree!

We were there today for their grand re-opening. We got there late, after 4pm and they close at five so the selection was limited. They were crazy busy today! But they did have butter tarts left and that's what my husband had really wanted. We also got one of their caramalita squares. So looking forward to trying that. We also got crumbuns for the first time. Looking forward to those as well. Evidently they are a family favourite. I will update the post once we try these yummy treats. I just wanted to post today to say congratulations on the opening. The store is beautiful and bright and the staff were so friendly. We will be back.

I came across this shop randomly when my now wife and I were looking for local shops for our wedding dessert table! We tried a few of their popular offerings like their Crumbuns cakes and some of their decadent cookies and we knew we HAD a winner in our hands. The day before our wedding we had not issues picking up various desserts to put out in our dessert table display. These desserts were an absolute hit!! Many of our guests were asking about where they were from which we were happy to let them know! The owner, Joanne, was is very pleasant and will be glad to help you with all your dessert needs! Couldn’t recommend more!

I had placed an order for pick up on December 24th for an apple crumble pie. It looked and smelled great. When I went to serve it to everyone for dessert on Christmas Day, it was slop. The pie crust on the bottom was soup as was the entire pie. I had to throw it out as it was not edible. Good thing my mom brought a back up dessert! Not sure what happened, but maybe there should be some lessons on baking an apple crumble... I have had things from there before and they were just fine. Maybe it was due to the fact that Christmas was the next day and there were alot of orders...

I recently tried out Crumbuns for the first time. I ordered a tart which was quite tasty, the pastry was baked nicely and the fillings were good. I also ordered a bunch of different cheesecake jars at $10 per. I have tried one so far and it was subpar at best. The toppings are extremely sweet and overpower the rest of the cheesecake flavour. The jar was turtles flavoured and you would only know that from the title. I always try to support local and I really wanted to like Crumbuns, it just felt very over priced for the quality.

They have the best cheesecake in Hamilton in my opinion. I think their buttertart cheesecake changed my life. I got one for myself and it was so good that I brought one home for my 5 housemates, and they all loved it so much that they made me go back the next day and get more. Flavours are creative, and the owners are amazing people. If you haven't tried their coffee, you should get on that as well. They also have a pay it forward initiative, which is so sweet. Overall an amazing experience!

Really really great butter tarts with all sorts of different fillers and a deliciously light crust. Nothing like those pasty globs of dough that define most commercial tarts! Also picked up a praline pumpkin pie that I took to my friends place, probably the best pumpkin pie I've ever eaten, although I should have gotten some whipped cream to add. A bit on the pricy side, but considering the time and cost to make it yourself, not too bad of a price. Will try the cheesecake next time!

The quality of her baked goods are excellent. She often has new creative treats to sample. Crumbuns is our go to bakery. Joanne’s custom cakes are amazing. I highly recommend her chocolate dipped butter tarts and her Belgian (or Empire) cookies as they are the best I have ever eaten. Order curb side to sample her delicious treats. Trust me it won’t be your last visit. If you are looking for a unique gift for a special someone, purchase a Crumbuns gift certificate. They will love it!

Great when they 1st opened a few years back but after having my husbands bday cale done there annually for 3 yrs I was rather rudely told last time I now needed to give a weeks notice as they're busier than. They used to be (I did show up 4 days prior) I'm sure the baking is still wonderful but the customer service is not and clearly they forgot the people that were there in the beginning helping them get "busier" I have not returned since nor will I reccomend them.

Sadly, not the experience I was hoping for when I heard about this place. Flakies tasted under cooked and lacked flavour, the cookies were teeny tiny and bland, brownies didn't taste fresh, the cinnimon bun was fine, as were the frozen perogies, but everything was over priced. Perhaps it was an off day for them. For value and flavour, Jackson Square farmers market has a vendor that makes a huge assortment of desserts at half the price, and twice the size.

Holy Cannoli! I recently had a Flakie cake. It was amazing. So much better than any generic version you can buy at a grocery store. When I visited the shop, the owner was amazing and took the time to show me everything and even tell me a little about the history of the bakery. I would recommend anything from this shop to anyone looking for bake goods for a party or event. PS. The Brookies are also outstanding!

I went there on recommendation, I wanted to support locally. Unfortunately I can't give the 5 stars to this bakary, not because the order was not good, it was delicious, but because the staff in the bakary didn't wear the masks!!! I was served at the door, and the lady had put the mask on the way out to me, but inside they don't wear the masks !?!? And you're working with food in pandemic. :(

Wow. My husband and I just bought a few items. And . O.m.g. they are the best desserts we've ever tasted. I seriously can explain how delicious they are. We bought coconut balls Easter sugar cookies, the cream egg cake and lemon pound cake. Each and every dessert is so tasty moist and delicious. I recommend crumbuns 1 million % I wish we didn't wait so long to try them out. Thank you

Love this place! The man that always cashes me out is very pleasant. There was a lady that used to work in the back who seemed miserable and unfriendly. However, the last time I was in there was a new lady baking and she was very friendly, which made my experience that much better. Love the products and love they are coming up with new ideas! Keep up the good work guys!

Stopped in to pick up a treat for Father's day and it did not disappoint!! Picked out 4 different butter tarts and a date square. My dad raved about all of them (and that's saying ALOT). The shop is cute with good selection and a freezer section with even more treats that you can save for later. I am looking to come back to try a flakey (and more buttertarts) again!

Our order was ready for us to pick up at exactly the right time. I had the butter tarts, cinnamon buns and the dates squares. The butter tarts were extremely flaky and the date squares we melt-in-your mouth freshly delicious. Can't wait to dig into the cinnamon buns. Came all the way fro London, ON to experience this bake shop and we were truly delighted.

Great people, great vibe, and incredible desserts. Really wide selection of different types of butter tarts, really cool to see and all delicious. Coffee is great as well, and the you get what you pay for. Really recommend.

Saw the flakie cake online and ordered right away!! It was as expected, delicious!! It was on the sweet side, but that was to be expected. It got devoured and I cannot wait to get another for our next event!!! I am a repeat offender here because the staff are always bright, friendly and inviting!!! Try the cheesecakes and crumbuns as well, so goooood!

This is the sweetest (pun intended) bakery I’ve been to. Not to mention, the food TASTE as amazing as it looks! I’ve watched this business grow from when the ownership was different and I love how the mom has taken it over and built it to be a beautiful, family-run bakery. I would highly recommended especially if you want to support local!

We bought for the first time today.. if you are a fan of Vachon Flakie you have to try their take on them.. Its a must!! And the crumb strawberry cheesecake is amazing as well, can't stop eating it. Its perfect for sharing with the family. Front of the store convince. Hit the door bell and they come out with your order. No waiting.

Ordered online May 1, 2021, was easy to add items and pay for it. You select a time and they have a table set up outside for when you come to pick it up. Items are a little pricey but the portions are large and everything tasted amazing. I tried a few different cookies and a lemon crumbuns. I definitely will be back to try more!

I have tasted treats from many of the local bakeries & Crumbuns is by far my favourite. Everything I have tasted has been amazing but I have to say the homemade passion flakies are my #1 fav, followed closely by the turtle buttertarts. If you have not been to Crumbuns lately, you don't know what you are missing.

Sorry ..not impressed Spent $70 on mini cheesecakes and they weren't even just ok...I was quite disappointed That said ..I didn't pre order ...it was Sunday afternoon....maybe I just went at the wrong time. But I was not impressed Service was excellent though.. atmosphere is cute ..about any other products.

Heard great things have about the place, finally visited, and it's in a bad location, parking is very cramped, not a very large selection, wasn't overly impressed. When I think bakery, I think warm, yummy smelling, and selection and I usually buy too much...I didn't get that here, not at all

Bought the flakey cake for my daughter's birthday wasn't even edible and the response from the owner even more disappointing. Sometime you just have to accept that your product was bad don't give excuses and argue. Customer service is so very important will never purchase anything here again

A friend and I came here for a cup of coffee and a snack. There were lots of great looking treats to choose from and we both enjoyed what we got. The people that work here are also super friendly and answered some questions I had. I look forward to coming back here and trying other things!

Fantastic service at the counter, they were fantastic with my son. The bagels we got from there are probably the best I think I've ever had. We also ordered the my wife's birthday cookie cake, very reasonable price and they did a fantastic job. Very happily will go back here

Average nothing special. Tried the Nutella Butter Tart, Banana Cream Cookie and those were good. Mini Egg Cookie was as hard as a rock and seemed like it was sitting on the shelf all week. Service felt rushed before cashing out. Customer service could use some improvement.

Bought the Flakey Cake for my sister’s bday. My friend recommended me the place and I decided to give it a try. The cake was on point, my sister loved it. I don’t usually leave reviews here but this one really deserves it. Will definitely recommend this bakeshop.

Unfortunately I can't recommend getting a birthday cake here. It was dry, hard and may have been made the night before. But it was pretty good value for the price and the marble cake itself had a good flavor. Would come back to try the freshly baked crumbuns.

If you are looking to get some super yummy treats... You must visit Crumbuns and get one of their signature Crumbuns. They are not a bun....But a delicious square. I also LOVE their cookies sandwiches. Mmmmm. This is my go-to bakery for all my social visits.

My wife and I are usually happy with our purchases.(cookies/tarts/etc.) This weekend we thought we would try their pies. We purchased a Coconut Cream and an Apple pie. These pies were quite expensive. We don’t mind paying extra for quality

Tried them foe the first time at Concession Streetfest and OMG. Our entire family just about ascended to heaven. SO GOOD. SOOOOO GOOD. We must have tried about 8 different items, and every single item was beyond delicious. A must try.

I purchased some brownies and a pumpkin pie from this lovely shop for thanksgiving. The pumpkin pie was incredible and the brownies were the best I ever had. I absolutely love this place! It’s made with so much love!

My girlfriend gets cheesecake every time we go out for dinner. I got her a slice from here for Valentine's day and we agree it's the best we've ever had. Blows the Cheesecake Factory and others out of the water.

My hubby went to Crumbuns Bakeshop, came home with six butter tarts, six squares. $52.00 Not impressed, nothing special. For that price, should have been extraordinarily. Expensive lesson, will never go back.

I'm not sure what has happened over the years, but its just not as great anymore. The cheesecake cups do not taste the same, seemed so much smaller too, and only available in a 6pk. Oh well.
