In mid-July, I reached out to DGP to paint the exterior of my 1940’s eastside bungalow with the goal of maintaining its original style. After emailing them my chosen color scheme, the painters were at work in just a couple of days. The age of my house created a lot of preliminary repairs; overall, DGP was able to save most of the original woodwork as I had requested. The two gentlemen who worked on the project put forth much thought and effort into the smallest details. Every morning, they gave me an update on the progress, and they came over on a Saturday to make up for a rainy day. The team was pleasant and trustworthy; they safeguarded all my keys and codes, and even carefully re-created my makeshift dog-escape-proof pile of stones outside the gate each day. The results were beyond my expectations. In just about five days and despite a rainy spell, my house was beautifully restored. The crew had not only patched up leaky seams, replaced rotted panels, and fixed deteriorated stairs, they were damn good at arranging my patio furniture and outdoor plants. Despite all the extra attention, my initial quote was solid from start to finish. My little house now shines next to the insipid, postmodern monstrosities that loom about the neighborhood. DGP's workmanship and professionalism have made me a repeat customer and enthusiastic promoter.

I am, by nature, a very picky person. I’ve been told too picky. I’ve used painters before, and have never been completely satisfied. Ever. I am 100% satisfied with the work that DPG performed in my home. We had the entire interior of our house painted: walls, ceiling, and some doors and trim, along with patching of nail holes and a couple of larger holes. They protected all floors and surfaces with extra care. They worked with me to make sure we had living space available throughout the job. At the end of each work day, they moved all equipment and supplies out of my way, and removed any trash and took it with them. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations. The day before final clean up I was asked to go over everything and find anything I was not happy with. I found four very minor things I asked to be touched up. And when I say minor, they were very minor. Before they left, everything was cleaned up and left in the same condition they found it, or better. The crew was professional, and managers were constantly checking in. We are already planning to have DPG paint the exterior of our home in the weeks to come. I recommend them without hesitation.

High Quality Service with Sage Advice Our home had not been painted in too many years. Peeling paint, exposed wood, alligatoring, rotten wood…and then it was determined that lead abatement was needed. Archie, the owner, guided us through this process without any charges for his advice and ensuring the lead abatement company did the work properly. Thus, protecting the painting crew and ensured that we received the quality work for which we were paying. Then the DGP crew came to wash, prepare, and paint this historic home. It is beautiful! In recent months DGP Painting has painted our home, window trim, and patio flooring; they've also stained our wrap-around soffits and did corrective stain work (by hand) to our entire fence after a different crew associated with a different contractor botched the job. Listen up, folks! I've been twice blessed with the opportunity to work with DGP. First, I had to get my 1920s landmark house on the market, under a tight timeline, during one of the most intense rainy seasons in Austin history. They were right on it. DGP also referred me to a top-notch (and affordable) carpenter, and, together, they miraculously had the house ready for a top-offer SxSW sale--the stuff of legends. Then once I'd downsized, I didn't hesitate to call them to my new condo for some interior touch up. Again, I was wowed. They went the extra mile and were flexible, informative and respectful. Ladies dealing with home contractors are sometimes at a disadvantage. We may feel a bit more vulnerable/cautious in our spaces and out of our element when it comes to home improvement. With DGP, I've always been treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. It's been--both under duress and not--the best customer service experience I've ever had. Bravo, gentlemen!

I hired DGP Painting to re-paint the exterior of our 70-year old home and shed in the back. I had used Doug Gorton Painting in the past, so decided to use this company since it was still connected to Doug Gorton. I was happy with the service I received, from the first appointment for an estimate, to the actual paint job. The painting team found a few areas of our home that needed wood replacement, and they took care of the repairs before painting. They made it very clear that they wanted to provide the best painting job possible, and that wouldn’t occur without repairing the wood in places. The painting team finished the job as promised, and let me check the work to identify any touch-ups that I desired. I would use this company again, both for exterior painting, and for interior painting too. In my opinion, the price was reasonable for the work provided.

Over the years, we have had a number of houses painted in various locations, but never have we had a job done that was this professional, that had such amazing prep work, with the completed work so awesome!! Our house looks brand new!!!! The quality of their work is beyond description, we have never seen anything like it!!!! Every surface was washed first, some areas by hand, every edge was hand papered and taped, every window protected. There was not a drop of paint anywhere!! Amazing!! They painted, stained pillars, and sealed our wood ceilings, so we saw many different applications and all were excellent!! And Jesse, the production manager, came every day to see if we were satisfied. We recommend them without any hesitation or reservation!!!! No one could be any better!!

From start to finish, the team at DGP was an absolute pleasure to work with. The onsite visit was informative (seriously, learned a lot about painting techniques, products, color-matching, etc.), the quote came quickly and was reasonably priced in terms of the request (all cabinets, multiple walls, drywall repair, etc.). The quality of the work was truly impressive. The painters were always on time, professional and impressively fast. They took great patience and care to cover and protect everything - from floors to furniture. They were flexible as well; I changed colors and added more walls during the project and they managed it without issue. I'll absolutely work with them on all of my future projects and will be recommending them to friends and family.

We worked with Stephen at DGP about a year ago to do a substantial remodel of our new house: new exterior siding, new insulation, repair/replacement of exterior decorative wood, removal of popcorn ceilings, removal of crown molding, drywall repair, and full exterior and interior wall painting. I can only say the very best things about the DGP team and the work they did for us: rock solid work and great communication throughout the process. Just last week, when an angry raccoon mother destroyed a soffit vent and part of one of our entryway columns, I texted Stephen and he had his team out right away; everything looked as good as new within an hour or two. I simply can't recommend DGP enough—won't use anyone else in Austin for our painting needs.

DGP just finished repainting the entire exterior of my house from a dark red to a bright white, in addition to some prep work (more than they had expected), and they also re-stained my front door. I can't say enough about what a great experience I had with them. Jesse and his crew, and Archie, were professional, honest, and communicative. Jesse even went above and beyond, even after the project was finished, to make sure I had the color stain I needed for my fence, so that it would match the door that they re-stained for me. The crew were highly skilled and performed all work quietly and extremely well. I had these guys paint the exterior of my 1965 ranch house that hadn't been painted in 15 years. They were incredibly thorough doing the prep, taking care of all the rotting wood on the eaves and siding, and caulking every tiny, and not so tiny, nail hole and crack. And the quality of the paint work was absolutely perfect. A super professional crew that took the time to get everything right. DGP recently finished painting the exterior of my home add well as as large pergola on my deck. The entire experience was very smooth. Mr. Archie Guerrero gave me my bid, which was reasonable and accurate, and was frequently on site to check on progress. He was also very understanding and patient with my wife and I. I have used DGP painting on a couple of jobs now. The most recent was a water leak that did damage to my office. DGP did an excellent job repairing the drywall and matching the texture. Paint looks awesome, the office is back to better condition than before the flood. They were professional, on time. I was impressed when I saw the job supervisor taking the temperature of the employees so you know they are taking extra precaution for covid. Will definitely use them again in the future.

DGP is great! I have an older house and needed a lot of different things done. I had tried to do a few things myself but it was taking so much time. Archie and his team were wonderful. They took care of my popcorn ceiling, spruced up the ceiling beams, painted several rooms and put in crown molding. They were on time, extremely professional, and detailed oriented. DGP painting did a wonderful job on the exterior of our 1960s home. The old paint was very weathered and the crew spent extensive time on prep work to make sure that the end result looked as good as new.
