I went to the St Johns Town Center on Jacksonville location. Firstly, I could barely find anyone to help in the shoes. I grabbed these Nike shoes that were marked 25% off and found the size I wanted too. Not to mention, the entire store in all of Nike was marked 25% off. Then I proceed to the men’s Nike section for clothing. I find a lot that I liked, but none in XL. Come to find out, they had a lot of it, just not put out. It was in the storage compartments underneath. I finally get to the register, the guy was rude. Rang up my total, and the price was everything not 25% off. I told him the shoes were marked, and he said he’s pretty sure it’s wrong and not pulled off from Black Friday (this is THREE days later from Black Friday) on Monday. As a manager, you should have current promotions, not old ones. So my friend is walking back there to grab the shoe that we picked up marked and he walkies the shoe department and they said no it’s not, grabbed the shoe, and kept it in the back. (As if we were lying about it being marked) although the black same exact shoe was still marked next to it. They said it was from Black Friday and not correct. Then I asked him about this Nike fleece jacket being discounted and he argues with that and then said maybe it is. He said all the jackets “always” ring up wrong. Okay if you know the jackets always ring up wrong then why are you going to charge me for the full price?! He said he’d have to call the other store to get the discount code. But yet the manager came up and did it. She wasn’t friendly, didn’t say anything at all actually. The guy at the customer service stand looked over it. I will not be going back here. I looked up the same exact shoe I saw in store online and that one along with all of the colors are 25% off so I ordered those instead.

The store was tidy and neat and the sales were front and center instead of hidden which was nice. Now, the employees were dreadful. Everg single one I ran into. I went in for jogging pants and 2 separate people had no idea that women wore other things than just leggings. Both told me to just wear leggings instead. I cant for work. Then I finally find some Reebok ones on sale and tried them on. Fitting room was dirty with clothes and food and smelt horrid. Decided to go ahead and buy them. I go to the customer service area where I guy names Noah rang me out alongside some blonde. Both of which talked to each other as if I was not even there the entire time. Talking about putting stuff in other people's pipes cause she did not want to do it and random other things. I said thank you and got nothing in return. I said have a nice day and still nothing! Someone came in to have an interview and unfortunately saw the entire thing and this poor girl might have to work with these people. There is no need for them to ignore customers or talk about certain things in front of customers. The deals were great but after multiple issues with multiple employees, I doubt I will return to this location.

It looks like several others have had good experiences there, but ours was not one of them - at least about a month ago. We went in to get shinguards, socks, and cleats for our 6 year old daughter who is playing soccer for the first time this year. The selection was terrible (in that, there really wasn't a selection to choose from). There was only one pair of shinguards in her size. So thankfully there was that one; but you'd think this time of year they'd carry a little more. We went over to the shoes section to pick out a pair of cleats, and the salesmen didn't seem to care about anyone very much unless you were a 20-25 year old female. After being ignored for about 10 minutes, someone finally asked us (as if we were a bother to them), if we needed help. Eventually three pairs of boxes were thrown at us with the remark of "this is all I have. Let her try them on and tell me what you think." ... Wow! Such great customer service! The guy at the check out register was probably the best part of our experience. He was friendly enough, which is why this review is getting that extra star. Overall though, I recommend finding another sporting goods store. I know I will.

I am 72 years old and I don’t go thru tennis shoes like I did when I was younger. Three years ago I was looking for something very comfortable for someone with arthritis. I went in your store feeling very out of place because everyone was so athletic. They were very busy, and a young male employee was rushing to help another customer but I just wanted to ask what would Be the best shoe for someone like me. He said he would recommend the Brooks Levitate. I tried them on and they felt pretty good so I bought them. It’s been about 3 years since then and I’ve had the opportunity to wear other shoes but I always go back to that same pair I bought from your store. I am so thankful that I ended up in your Town Center store and that the young gentleman was there to help me. I just bought the Brooks Levitate 3, they feel so good I will never buy anything else and I will never buy from anyone else. Thank you for having a great staff.

Avoid Dick's - Shady sales tactics. An island display proudly marked "buy one, get one 50% off" applied to Under Armor Youth Golf Attire. After selecting the shirt that my son wanted for his birthday (for $40), I made him pick shorts from the limited selection on the same display for the discount (shorts were also $40). At the register, both rang up at full price. I shared their displayed pricing with the cashier. The cashier on had the same conversation four times on his headset..."someone said that they should get half off..." After the forth conversation, the cashier told me that the discount doesn't apply unless I buy another shirt. After 40 minutes shopping and 10 minutes in the cash register, I bought them both anyway. It was my son's birthday present & Dick's was not going to spoil it for $20. Dick's is not a discount store, but they certainly have discount management. Avoid Dick's! You have been warned.

Alright so my review is about Troy. Went in looking for cross bars for a cargo box, asked him where they were, he showed me without hesitation. Thanked him, bought them, went outside and installed them myself. Came back in to get a cargo box, seen him again he was helping someone else so I told him i’ll just wait til he’s done, literally no rush. Comes to me, I show him the roof rack I wanted, and he calls his people to ask if they have any in stock, told me they have 4, then said he could just take me downstairs and go grab one out of inventory. He stayed with me the whole time, mad patient, easy to talk to, brought the cargo box all the way to my car via cart and I thanked him because thats the level of patience that gets rewarded in life. He executed perfectly, was knowledgable about the situation and if he doesn’t has the answer, he’ll get it from someone. Awesome guy man, thanks troy

I brought a Trek 7000 from the 90's into the Bicycle Service section. The Trek 7000 is known for a VERY light aluminum frame. I had the bike re-built using most of it's original parts, except for the seat, grips, pedals and shift and brake combination levers. I had many problems with my gears and brakes, due to the tune-ups not being done properly, and had my bike serviced there at least 3X's for the same thing. One of the individuals they had working there, was a REAL JACKA$$, and thought he knew everything, except how to do his job properly; believe his name was Andrew Cre. Long story short, I just called and asked for a Manager, and I tried to explain the situation, and my need to have the brakes fixed. The manager said that because so much time had elapsed, that I would be required to pay a fee, yet again. Wont be using Dicks to buy a Bike, or have them work on anything of mine

I was so disappointed in my service that I will not return to this chain ever again. I bought several items before having a double mastectomy for treatment of breast cancer. I wanted some comfortable pants, zip-ups, etc. for recovery and they had a good selection of brands. However, when I put on a pair of under armor pants I bought the elastic ripped. The tags were still attached and I had the shopping bag when I went back in later to try to exchange them for a non damaged pair or store credit. The girl who tried to help me was very sweet (I believe her name was Madison) however her supervisor was the worst service I have ever experienced! She refused to even give me the lowest recorded price in store credit because I didn't have the receipt. The policy bothered me, but her rude attitude is why I won't be returning. Take yourself to Academy instead for better prices and service!

The store itself is fine. What I have a problem with is the bathrooms. After my boyfriend warned me about his harrowing bathroom experience 10 years ago in this exact location, I decided to take a look myself. Upon entering the women’s bathroom, I noticed the dim lighting and copious amounts of toilet seat covers littered on the floor. The worst part of all is the toilet paper. After using the restroom, it is crucial to the experience that one has access to a sufficient amount of toilet paper. This dispenser was loosely placed on the wall, and it would only dispense ONE thin sheet of toilet paper at a time. I’m talking about one square of toilet paper. At a time. I had to be slow and careful in order to get this singular sheet out, as well. Any haste, and only a quarter of a sheet would come out. Very unpleasant and inefficient wiping experience.

First let it be known I have shopped at Dick's prior to this and never had an issue. However on this occasion something needed to be said. I went to purchase .40 S&W ammunition at 6pm on a Saturday evening. I expected the store to be busy considering it to be a long weekend and there were a considerable amount of sales going on. However to my amazement the hunting section was not even manned. In its place was a buzzer to be pushed if assistance was needed. Five customers were waiting for an associate one was taken care of and then the associate left. I took note as I left empty handed that each other department had at least two associates working together. At 8pm I went to Sports Academy to find the hunting department fully manned and able to take care of all my needs. Not to mention they had more registers open. Bad Form Dick's, Bad Form

Kristen (manager) and Jared were absolutely the best EVER! I had to travel to this store from where I live in Palm coast to retrieve my order as the other location close to me did not have what I needed. There were some issues that occurred due to employee error which caused me to have to return at a later time even though I was informed my order was ready for pick up. Due to the inconvenience for myself (1 hour and 15 minute drive) Kristen helped me out significantly by giving me a gift card for my Troubles! She didn’t have to, but she did and that shows she honestly cares about the customer! When returning Jared helped me out as well by fixing some things on my order and he didn’t stop until it was corrected! These two know what it takes to have true customer service and support skills! Wish more companies had employees like them!

Went in to exchange shoes and read the policy before hand to make sure I was in the clear, went to the customer service and was met with extreme attitude for asking a question and was told to “go wait over there at the deck” well after 15mins of waiting and nobody coming over I took the same exact pair of shoes in a different size to the customer service and was told it had been approved. I noticed that the sticker price was different and asked what the original shoes rang up and the employee Gina said “I don’t know what you’re talking about” and then magically the sticker price for the new pair of THE EXACT SAME SHOE was rang up and I got the difference on a gift card. Funny how that works when you question things they get handled :))))

Upon my original visits I was frustrated and irritated. Long story short, I was told one thing on the phone and then told something else once I got into the store. A simple shopping trip turned into a gigantic mess. I felt as though the store did not care about me as a customer, but after expressing my concerns with the corporate office I was contacted by the district manager. He was polite and offered me many apologizes and wanted to make it right. He personally went into the store to resolve my issues and get to the bottom of what went wrong. While I am still slightly annoyed at the original problem, I do appreciate that the manager made a personal call to me in attempts to make it right and promised it would be addressed in store.

Sorry, can't give any stars. Store not close to my home or work but liked the selection of products offered. Brought my golf clubs to be re-gripped and had to wait 3 days, (date and time to be ready written on receipt). Day they were to be ready I called to make sure they done.....no answer in golf department. Drove to store, had to wait for Buck who handles the golf department for 10 minutes only to find out they never re-gripped the clubs. When asked why they didn't call me to let me know or why no one answers the phone, both Buck and the store mgr reassured me with Dumb Looks are still Free. Going to Edwin Watts.

Nice store and 99% of the employees are helpful and knowledgeable. But one sales associate almost cost them $1000 purchase when my buddy was trying to buy an elliptical. A sole 25. The sales associate said they didn't have any and walked off. We had to find another associate to help us. The gentleman who helped us was the stocker of the trailers and informed us he had 4 and even brought it to the register and helped load it. As for the other associate he had snide remarks how people pronounce the company name solè and not just sole. If you don't like working with customers find another job.

All the staff I interacted with where very kind. knowledgeable, and happy to help! Special should out to Mr Brookes who was able to help me make a confident decision on new roller blades, he definitely went the extra mile to help me out. Besides the staff, the store is very well organized and easy to navigate! Its current flaw at this time is massively limited stock in several areas, but that is not the stores fault for the uptake in demand so I wouldn't take away stars for that. It seems like they are refilling their stock very fast, so don't let that deteer you!

Called the store for information about a shoe release process and what time to come. The employee completely lied to me and when I came in she also laughed at me and said I was too late. THERE WERE LITERALLY PEOPLE IN LINE FOR THIS RELEASE WHEN I CALLED AND THEY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT TIME THE RELEASE WAS. WHY I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY THEY LIE FOR NO REASON. THEY COULD HAVE JUST SIMPLY SAID, "It starts at 10 AM, there is a line forming now." THIS WAS A GREAT WAY TO LOSE ME AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER SINCE THE BEGINNING

Do not get your tennis rackets strung here, i took mine in last week to get resturng due to the whole COVID19 They were pretty much the only place where i could get it restrung. Well long story short waited a week for them to get the job done, picked it up yesterday. Went to play after a couple hours and not even 40 minutes in the game my racket cracked. I contacted the store this morning to see what is going on and all i got back was "oh that never happened before, we have to ralk to our tennis tech" currently awaiting dor a call.

Went there to get some new running shoes and I told the sales guy how I run and what I'm looking for and he was very vague and recommended two brands as a whole (doesn't really help me know what styles help with what runner)... obviously wasn't very educated in the products he was selling. The only thing he knew how to do is if a shoe was available in my size. I'd only recommend them if you go in knowing exactly what you want, having researched ahead of time. Or maybe just order from amazon for a similar result.

I went here looking for one particular item. At first, I was impressed with the number of employees they have on the floor. Unfortunately, they would rather spend time talking to each other or keeping their head down folding clothes instead of assisting the customers. I had to stop someone passing by and tell him I was not being helped, in order to get him to take me to the proper section of the store and help me find what I was looking for. The only up side of this store is the variety of items they have.

Franklin who was working upstairs in the golf department is the best!! He helped me find the perfect Valentine’s Day present for my husband, who gave me very little information. I only knew that I was looking for shoes by Roget Federer and Franklin worked with me to figure out exactly what I needed! He went above and beyond to find and locate the shoes that I was looking for. He came downstairs to make sure that I was being taken care of in the shoe department and just went above and beyond.

worst customer service I ever had in USA . gave tennis racket for restring and was told that will be done in 7-10 days ..called after 10 days they lost my info after 1 hour on phone they found my racket and said it is ready for pick ..went to pick the racket ..they did not have clue where is tennis racket ..and found after 40 mins and it was not fixed ..so frustrating waited 2 weeks and spend hours with them even got same racket with out restring.. asked to refund so they refunded ..

For some reason they took away the self serve shoes but didn't staff anyone to the area. Myself and about 50 other people were standing in the section waiting for someone to help them at 4:30 on a Saturday. After 20 minutes went by and I didn't even see someone helping other customers, I had to leave. On my way out I passed the worlds longest checkout line but not a single employee except a security guard assuring the line someone would be there soon. Where are they all hiding

I haven’t been to this location in a while but it has definitely changed. Not sure if it’s management or whatever but this place is hurting. Friendly employees but there isn’t enough of them. Had to wait almost 5 minutes at the register because the cashier wasn’t authorized to change an incorrect price. Managers just stand in a circle while the employee called for help. Employees also ask too many questions at the register when I just want to pay. Also the bathroom is atrocious.

I called this location on the phone. I was inquiring about outdoor soccer shoes for my son, who happens to have very large feet. I was told that I would be able to get the help that I needed if I came in person. I obliged. There was an assistant manager named PAUL who explained everything and I feel confident in purchasing the item that I needed. PAUL is the MVP! I am so thankful that there are humans that still care about the customers and their job!!!

Went in today, came out in a bad mood. First of all, the layout of the store is terrible. Racks of clothes in the middle of walkways. Went to the swimsuit section and had the hardest time finding my size. The racks were a jumbled mess and the sizes on the hangers rarely matched what size the swimsuit was. And the fitting rooms are terrible. Horribly lit, not clean, there was fresh gum on the bench, and hotter than hell. Just a very chaotic store!

Good selection but it can be very difficult to get help even when you push the buzzer. I had a guy come to help but stopped at some cute girls to chat, and gave me the "I'll be with you, don't bother me" treatment. He really should've come to the area and asked who called for service. So I got to sit and wait for 20 minutes while he flirted before I could get service. It wasn't until I went back and started hitting the button that he came over.

I came in to buy a pair of training fins and gloves for swimming, at the check out the cashier asked me if I had my scorecard number to which I replied I didn’t have it on me. He then proceeded to enter in HIS OWN SCORECARD number to claim the points from my purchase!! Really glad to know that is the way this company and their employees conduct business. I won’t be returning to this particular store again and will not recommend it to ANYONE.

Was in the shoe department looking for Under Armour running shoes this evening and experienced horrible customer service. At least four employees were in the department, and only one offered help, she seemed very put off to do so though. I decided not to purchase shoes here for that reason. If you're looking for Under Armour I'd suggest the Under Armour store at St. Augustine Outlets. Better prices and customer service.

I was informed that they did not have one. The person i did finally manage to find was very helpful. He called around to other stores and finally found a larger tent with the height i wanted and for less.

I am here in the shoe department and I am not getting no good help From the guys who work here. I just don’t understand We been here for 45 minutes now just waiting, he keep walking off for long periods of time, plus the shoe we came for they don’t have it, neither did they have his second choice of shoe .This is sad, Bad look for the town center! Not a very nice outdoor store. They are big and have a lot of stuff, however I highly prefer REI over this store (which is just down the street). Also if you have to use the restroom, avoid the bathroom here at all costs. I've been multiple times and it's never been clean and frequently there is no soap. The first few times it was nasty, I thought it may have been a coincident.

Saw a pair of sneakers that were regularly priced $83 but had a red sale ticket for $35. Went to buy them, but they came up on the register $74. Waited 15 min for a price check to be done and was told again how it was $74. When I went to check the tag on the floor model, I saw that they removed the tag, but the $83 price on the inside was still there. Never coming back again.

Is what it is. I just want to meet the retard in charge of procurement that I orders sandals in medium and extra large. Heads up, there is a size in between them. The size sandal most people wear. This is an sports and clothing store in Florida. If you're not well stocked in sandals, just go drown yourself in the ocean. Your kids will thank you at your funeral.

Trying to buy shoes is like pulling teeth. Having to hunt down employees who scan your shoe tell you they don't have it then fleeing, then having to hunt down someone else for your next try. No one offered to help, no one checked with me, no one had an even slightly pleasant attitude. Left frustrated and unhelpeded. Luckily Academy Sports isn't too far away.

I've bought athletic shoes twice at Dick's. Both experiences were highly positive. The sales person today was knowledgeable, helpful, and quite honest with his opinion, which I truly appreciate. Their prices are in line with what is seen on Amazon, so you get to try on and walk around in a pair of shoes for the same price as purchasing them sight unseen.

Usually shop here for shoes but last time I went no one wanted to help the customers. All the workers were standing in a circle talking. So we went up to them to get a shoe to try on. The kid rolled his eyes and smacked his lips. I’m sorry that I want to buy shoes and you keep your job. Man our generation is a disgrace. No respect. I’ll shop elsewhere.

Nice employees who generally know the product line very well, in my experience. Good deals can be found. I like all of their departments even though I don't play lacrosse, for example. Wandering around Dick's gives me ideas and sometimes I can catch a great deal. Last time, I got a a camo fleece cap for $35 which will work great in the woods.

I stopped in early one Saturday morning just after they opened they I was very impressed with the staff. I bought a pair of shoes the price was good and the attendant was extremely polite and helpful. When checking out the cashier was again super nice and polite. Not sure where the store manger found these young adults but they where Great!

I walked into the store yesterday, there was a young lady at the. Cashier, I looked across at her to say hello, she never raised her head. I was in search of. Things..i would see employees, I'd go toward them to ask for help, all of a sudden they were busy. You'll never catch me going in there again. This was at St. Johns Town Center.

They always have a great selection of stuff. It's great to still be able to look and feel things before you buy them period certainly not the same selection that you get online but much better than nothing. It's usually very crowded on the weekends and it's difficult to get through the mall traffic but otherwise a good experience

They are now selling insurance for batting gloves. And you can't return them if they are defective and you did not buy insurance. How about you stand by what you sell. Prices are high enough without adding 10.00 for insurance. What's next charge admission to come in the store,charge a fee for browsing. You have lost a customer.

Never shop here (Town Center in Jacksonville, Florida)if your an African American. They follow you and don't offer any help. All people of color are not thieves and makes a honest living. Just like I don't assume all Caucasian people are racist. The managers are even worst. Not a good look for your company at all.

The store is pretty big with a good selection, but the staff was not that friendly. The fitting rooms are too hard to find, and they are all locked so you have to wait for the staff to help you. The fitting rooms are dark and dirty inside. Would not recommend going here if you plan to try on clothes.

This specific woman working in the basketball shoe section was more interested in talking to her friend than helping me find what I need.

This is one of those amazing stores that blows your mind. It’s huge. Two stories of sporting and outdoor gear. It’s also a great place to shop for clothes if you like sports or outdoor brands. The staff is helpful, but they can be hard to find as there aren’t many employees for such a big store.

Went here to see if they had our favorite Brooks Ghost 14 on sale. They weren't so we left. However, we did notice they had a lot of other cute made by "Brooks". The store was bright, clean, and organized. Customer service was nice and helpful. We'll be back.

Large open store with a huge selection of "all things sports!" Great stock of equipment from football to soccer to softball and much more. Great work out clothes and a great selection of the big name brands in sports clothing. Helpful associates. Great place to shop.

3 entrances, only 1 is working. 2 escalators, only 1 is working. Man's bathroom in that place is disgusting. The paint is literally peeling from the door. Update: last time I visited, the bathrooms were in better shape and they had more than one entrance working

Had a great experience there today in the golf section. Jacob, one of the employees was super knowledgable and helpful in helping me pic out a new club and new grip for my putter. He installed the grip for me in a few minutes and I was out the door.

I felt, while buying a set of golf clubs, the sales person was very inexperienced. Failed to point out left or right hand clubs. I had to make a return. I arrive home, the clubs are for a petite person. Back today for another exchange!!

One dressing room upstairs with a line, no help from staff, no inventory size options, and the bathrooms were attrocious! The fitting room had more clothes in it than the store., but plenty of needles too. This place is hurting!

Nice, clean. I was not able to determine if selection and inventory was better than other locations but the workers on the floors were super helpful. We had a few of them come up to us and asked us and they were very helpful.

Great store. I love to shop for bass fishing gear here. The staff is very helpful and they have a great selection for anything outdoors. The restrooms and the store are very clean. Nice shopping experience.

Huge variety of sports equipment and gear. Most prices are MSRP tag price, so not your best prices but they do have a rewards program. Clean and visually appealing with helpful staff as well.
