We never felt pressure to buy anything and the sales staff were just as interested in educating us about diamonds as they were helping us find the perfect ring. When I entered the La Jolla store I was welcomed warmly by the staff. The storefront is beautiful and you cannot miss it when you walk by. I worked with Edmund as well as a few others but Edmund found out my fiance's taste in the style of ring almost instantly. Edmund explained the different metrics of how diamonds are measured, which was greatly appreciated. Edmund was very upfront and honest he even showed us under a microscope why his diamonds are the best compared to other retail chain jewelers across the United States. The unique diamond cuts and bands impressed us immensely. I want to stress that all of the rings / bands / diamonds are one of a kind. The ring I purchased can not be found anywhere else. Since the style of ring is unique they are not advertising their HUGE selection of custom bands and stones on the web site. You need to go into the store to get the entire experience. Edmund truly cares about his customers and clients as he was willing to stay late and work with us while we picked the perfect ring. The ring was sized the next day and was ready for pickup. Most jewelers we talked to would have taken weeks for the ring to be sized and ready for pickup…not David and Sons. They have a master jeweler in the store that allows for this quick turnaround. Even after we decided on the ring and stone and were ready to purchase, Edmund continued to educate us on diamonds, he truly cares and wants what is best for his clients. Best shopping experience I have ever had buying anything. For me, like most guys, starting to look for an engagement ring became a daunting task. I had never even heard of things like the clarity and color of diamonds. I just always assumed all diamonds were sparkly. I had found a ring from an online company that I was pretty set on buying, but I ended up taking a recommendation from a friend to check out David and Sons. I am so glad I did. Emil and all the people that work at David and Sons are amazing! My first experience I there I was shopping for a ring for my mother that she loves! Angela helped me pick a top quality, best value diamond band that my mom cherishes everyday. I was so pleased with the experience that when my now husband was getting ideas for my engagement ring I had to send him in the David and Sons direction over 4 years ago! Needless to say I have the most beautiful engagement ring. I had 2 of the pave stones fall out after my ring was sized, I was nervous that maybe this was too delicate a setting but David and Sons completely stood behind their quality work and fixed the problem free of charge, even made an alternate setting for my engagement stone that I could have switched for. Finding wedding bands was starting to become a nightmare because everything looks the same! Not to mention, good service is hard to come by. My fiancé had done extensive engagement ring shopping locally and online and after much research and seeing hundreds of diamonds, he picked one from David & Sons. They worked with him for the setting and band - it’s gorgeous! He’s convinced he couldn’t have gotten a better diamond for my ring. Plus, it’s conflict free! He was thoroughly impressed with the service he received working with Edmond and felt he got a reasonable price. My experience with David & Sons has been amazing as well. I got my ring resized twice since I was conservative when downsizing, but I knew it’s free to resize the first year. I also came in a couple times to have them clean my ring which makes it look even more amazing! After going to about 10 local jewelers looking for my wedding band, I purchased my eternity band from David & Sons. Theirs was a great prize and I was confident with the quality of the ring, plus they don’t charge more for the lifetime cleaning and polishing to keep it white gold. I like that they are a local company too. We had the BEST experience shopping for my engagement ring at David & Sons with Cole! When I walked in I was nervous because my fiancé and I have very little knowledge about rings, costs, styles etc. Cole made the process so easy that within 15 minutes we had picked out my ring and band, paid and had a pick up date for my dream ring. Cole was nothing but patient and comforting in deciding which ring was the best for me. He also was able to find me the best ring within the budget we said we would like to stick to. He was very passionate about us having a good experience and about picking the best ring for me. Edmond was also very accommodating of us because my partner and I had a flight back home the same day we bought the ring, so he promptly had the ring sized and cleaned for me. We were traveling and only had half a day when we went to the UTC shopping center. We visited David & Sons Fine Jewelry store and loved how they were welcoming and helpful. If you look young go somewhere else because they will not give you the time of day compare with Tiffany’s across the street. At Tiffany’s the costumer service was 10/10 and at David and Sons 3/10… they were rude with us and I’m very disappointing cuz we were hoping to get my engagement ring there.

Bought my wedding and engagement rings here a few years ago - they were amazing! Designed the engagement ring with our input and it was perfect. Also, they always used to re-rhodium the rings for free, for several years. Forgot to leave a review at the time but I suspect they are still amazing!
