Things have really gone downhill since Dr. Livingstone retired (within the last year). On Monday, a week ago, I had to put down my senior cat Nala. Over the past few years, I've had to put down a number of old senior cats, and it's always hard, but this time -- I had to wonder how many cats this vet had put down. A really bad experience for both the cat and me. I don't think the Vet had a clue as to what she was doing. And I am not exaggerating. But I just chalked it up to one of those rare 'it all went wrong' experiences -- those times happen with the best of Practitioners in any field. Well, little did I know. So I adopted another senior cat almost immediately, on Weds. I took her into DN on Thursday. I felt that something was not right. I just wanted my cat's temperature taken (because my cat had recently had abdominal surgery, an upper respiratory infection, and an eye infection), but the Vet indicated that it would be too much trouble, and, after all, my cat appeared to be a healthy cat And it gets worse. Then the Vet asked me if I had noticed any eye discharge -- while she's petting my cat that has eye discharge from one of her eyes. Then the next day my cat has an even more obvious eye infection. By this morning (Monday), you can imagine how bad it had become . I called DN, but the Vet didn't want to see my cat. She told me, through a vet assistant, to call the place where I had gotten Olivia, because, I was told, that DN did not have the right med and that place where I got Olivia probably would have the right medication. I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO DN. Never. Oh, and btw, this is not my first bad experience with DN. Dr, Livingstone was wonderful. The others my cats saw -- not so much. But, hey, DN isn't very expensive -- one good thing, I guess.

I just called to make an appointment this morning for my poor hound dog with an ear infection and Anna was so helpful over the phone! She got me in as quick as she could as a new patient and was incredibly informational when it came to answering my questions. I don't normally write reviews but I just thought she was so helpful, I just had to! I will definitely be updating my review after the visit but as of right now, I feel completely comfortable with Del Norte Animal Clinic. **UPDATE** I was unable to take my fur baby in due to work so my boyfriend ended up taking him to his appointment. He said the staff were VERY patient with him (since he is vet aggressive at times). According to him they tried different ways of doing things before taking any extensive measures. He also said the doctor was awesome at explaining our options for treatment. We've gone to another vet and they treated him twice with no success and we never even got to speak with the vet. The treatment provided by DNAC seems to be working and my baby's ear infection is so much better! Thank you to all the staff here! I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else!

A few weeks ago we said our goodbyes to our sweet girl Goldie. From the very first post-adoption appointment to the day of her euthanasia, the staff of Del Norte have gone above and beyond. Dr. Sehrt was an incredible primary vet, who listened and validated any concerns we had. She was very attentive to the changes in Goldie’s health, navigating us through lab work, medication for hyperthyroidism, as well as dental surgery. Also a big thank you is due for Dr. Tucker, who took us in last-minute for a post-ER visit, and compassionately guided us through the entire euthanasia process. I cannot thank these two incredible veterinarians enough. The vet techs here were also kind and compassionate towards our girl. They always handled her gently and I never worried whenever they had to take her back for labs, weight checks, etc. Overall, I’m very grateful for this clinic and will likely seek them out again in the future. Keep up the good work!

I moved to Abq and was looking for a new vet for my chihuahua. He needed to have his teeth cleaned and VCA Animal Hospital charged me $220 just for the initial visit and bloodwork. They quoted me $350 for the procedure (which requires anesthesia) and additional $50 for each (possible) tooth extraction. I called Del Norte to get a second quote and they offer the same procedure for $165, $5 for tooth extraction and only $52 for the initial exam. I can't believe I almost paid $200 more for the same cleaning!! My chihuahua is my baby and they took amazing care of him! Both visits we got right in and didn't wait more than a minute. The staff including Dr. Livingstone were friendly and knowledgeable. I was offered additional services while my dog was there but was not made to feel bad for not selecting them. I would recommend this clinic to anyone that really cares for their animal and the cost of vet care.

Very very disappointed. My dog injured herself during the night and I brought her to see the vet on an emergency basis. I arrived right when the office opened. I explained to the staff my dog was crying and could not walk. When I arrived there was only one car in the parking lot and all the exam room doors were open. No other patients were in the waiting room. The front office staff refused to see her and stated there were no appointments until end of October. Instead they referred me to a vet hospital. The same amount of time it took for them to look on their schedule to find an appointment they could have had the doctor exam my dog. This never would have happened in the past before the previous doctor retired. Poor service and they clearly do NOT care for their patients.

We have been taking our pets to Del Norte for over 20 years. Dr Livingstone has become more like family to us then just our vet. We have also seen the other vets that are currently working there. Dr Williams is turning out to just as special of a vet as Livingstone. The staff is very friendly and helpful also. You can't go wrong taking your pets here. Feburary 2022 - Update in the few past months the service has went way down hill. The phone is always busy. When I leave a message for the vet it's never answered. When I did get thru on the phone I was referred to another clinic for service. Guess long term clients are not important anymore. What a shame. May 2022 - Noticing some improvements are being made! So glad to see things start to get back on track here.

We've taken two of our dogs to Dr. Williams. One needed surgery to remove a growth below his eye. The surgery went well and was less expensive than expected. Our other dog is in kidney failure, possibly due to Cushing's disease. They have worked with us to figure out medications, diet and daily subcutaneous fluids that we administer at home. Our previous veterinarian had declined to administer fluids for the kidney failure and recommended the dog be euthanized immediately. It's been five months and she has been doing better. As long as she continues to be active, happy and comfortable we'll continue with the current regimen and seeing Dr. Williams for follow-ups, as needed. We are very grateful to have found Dr. Williams and Del Norte Animal Clinic.

My family and I decided to take our beloved Leonberger (Bella) of 2years of age to Del Norte Animal Clinic who needed to finally get spaid, because she is a Giant dog breed it takes some time. The staff who did the procedure must not have been EDUCATED on LARGE DOG BREEDS because my Leonberger's stitches became infected and she was very irritated for 2 weeks after such procedure. After healing there is a lump and raised skin where the incision was made. MY ENTIRE FAMILY WAS HORRIBLY HARASSED BY THIS CLINIC AFTER I LEFT A NEGATIVE REVIEW! WE WILL STILL NOT BE RETURNING TO YOUR CLINIC EVER! LEAVE MY FAMILY ALONE WE'VE SUFFERED ENOUGH. DR. LIVINGTONS REPUTATION MEANS MORE TO HIM THAN THE CARE OF THE ANIMALS HE TREATS.

Dr. Livingstone has been seeing my 6 year old German Shepherd, Kairi, since the end of 2011 and my 3 1/2 year old German Shepherd, Sora, since I got him at 8 weeks old. The clinic is pristine and always welcoming, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and Dr. Livingstone is fantastic! He's very good, especially with large breeds, and has quickly helped out anytime I have any problems with either of my babies. It takes a lot for a veterinarian and a clinic to have that special something, and this place has it! I wouldn't trust the lives of my beloved shepherds to anyone else. I couldn't ask for a better vet.

The Vet was incredibly sweet to my elderly cat. She put me at ease about my concerns about my cat becoming a senior and when the best time/age would be to move forward with more extensive check-ups. I called around to several places before choosing Del Norte Animal Clinic. I chose this place for 2 reasons: 1. The receptionist was kind and patient with me - other places I called were more curt and in a rush to get me off the phone. 2. The prices are better than anywhere else! They clearly care more about the animal and treatment than making a killing off of pet owners. Highly recommend.

Dr. Livingstone and Dr. Moulton are two of the most caring veterinarians I have ever met. They have cared for my 80 pound german shepherd since he was just 8 weeks old and Rocky absolutely adores them both! Both doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and understanding towards their patients. Dr. Livingstone keeps our appointments fun with his humor and easy going personality. The clinic staff is by far one of the best group of people ever. They are always friendly and helpful when we walk into the door. Del Norte Animal Clinic is in my opinion, the best in the state.

All of the doctors and staff are wonderful. They clearly care about their animal patients. My cat is in their care as I write, primarily because they took him in even when all booked up. He's pretty sick, and they are very good at keeping me informed at every stage. We have been taking our pets there for many years, for routine care, urgent issues, and life's end. Dr. Williams did stomach surgery on one kitty, and he recovered very well. They seem to be very good at selecting new partners as needed. I hope they'll be there as long as we need them.

So relieved they were able to get me in for a same day appointment as my regular vet was closed. Dr. Williams and all the staff were wonderful and he took the time to discuss the options of what could be the cause of my kitty’s sudden problem. I feel we are following a reasonable plan of care based on preliminary lab results as recommended. Also the charges for blood work, medications and visit were reasonable. I will continue my kitty’s care here and so glad I found another vet I can trust in decisions for care.

I absolutely love this clinic, and all of the employees working there. I had to have my 16 year old baby kitty put down, and they were all so very compassionate and understanding. Dr. Williams saw us the same day I called (hysterical), and I was able to spend as much time as I needed with her, until she fell asleep. Not once was I made to feel like a burden. Thank you, Dr. Williams, for taking pride in your job, and caring for my furry kids. I recommend you to everyone I know!

My dog is the most important part of my life and the staff at Del Norte Animal Clinic have been so helpful and responsive in caring for her. The Veterinarians and the Vet Techs have all been so kind to me during a stressful time with my dog, as well as going above and beyond to communicate with me about my dog’s health. I couldn’t recommend this clinic more. I’m so happy with the experience that I’ve had over the past few years, but even more so over the past couple weeks.

I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Livingstone for 20 years, and I am his biggest fan. He has seen us through many things, and kept the "kids" in good health. You could not find a better vet. The clinic staff are amazing as well. They are always professional, of course, but more importantly for me, they have always been friendly caring and kind. I feel lucky to have found Del Norte Animal Clinic when I first came to Albuquerque. Very lucky, indeed!

Dr. Livingston is amazing, the care and practice from them has been amazing. Every employee has a heart for animals. We have had pets with many different concerns over the years and they have been so helpful. They try to work with you as best they can financially. We had to sadly put our dog to sleep and we're so out of sorts we came early and they all bent over backwards to make that horrible experience bearable. I won't go anywhere else.

Dr. Sehrt took care of my cat Oliver. She went above and beyond my expectations. I'm glad I switched to Del Norte Animal clinic. She took the time to explain everything happening to him. She answered every question I asked. She would call to check on how he was doing. When my cat went to the ER she made sure to connect with the hospital to get an update on him. I appreciate everything she did for my cat.

The front desk is perpetually busy, which means a bit of a wait, BUT a very good sign. As soon as I walked in, I saw a a sogn welcoming all their new clients by name, which was very sweet. The bulding and offices were clean, organized, no smell either of pet or of cleaning solution. The vet and assistant were very knowledgable and communicative. Super happy to take my first pup to some place like them.

Many thanks to Dr. Moulton and the young vet tech (I'm sorry -- I can't remember her name) who took care of my cat Ryu this afternoon. So kind and so professional (and I was a mild basket case). I've gone tp other places off and on over the years, but I always come back to Del Notre. (I had to wait a few days for an appointment, but that's ok -- I know they are not an emergency clinic.)

All of the doctors and staff are so knowledgeable and compassionate at Del Norte! I’ve taken my 4 pets here since I moved in 2016, and would highly recommend anyone here! I found this veterinary clinic when I moved here about 6 years ago! They are compassionate and competent professionals. Dr. Livingstone has done an amazing job with his practice and also manages to hire equally amazing vets. I have been taking my dog to Dr. Stephanie Kern and she has been truly so patient, kind and professional with my dogs multiple diagnoses. I am so grateful!

I am trying to get into a new vet for my dog. My friend referred me here, she said they are great. I called and tried to get an appointment, but they are not taking new patients right now. Who doesn't take new patients. The guy who answered the phone acted like a complete jerk like I was bothering him and wasting his time. Oh well. I guess they just lost all my business.

Dr. Livingston really takes the time to get to know ones pet and their human. He is an awesome doctor and very educated. He goes above and beyond to help people. When my Chihuahua Chaquita was sick he took her home and gave her around the clock care. You don't find that nowadays. He is awesome and I would recommend anybody to take their pet under his care. Dr Kern is amazing. The staff is amazing. I can’t recommend this clinic enough. We have an older orange cat with ckd. Dr Kern not only gave super helpful advice on how to manage it, but also showed us how to spot the changes in our cat. Rudest person on the phone I have ever dealt with. I called just to ask a question and the guy that answered just said "we are not taking new clients right now" and that was it Didn't even bother to see what I was calling about in the first place. Wouldn't take my pet to anyone like that, I prefer my pets and myself to be treated with a little more caring.

When my mom and I first moved up here about 7 years ago, we were anxious about finding a vet that would meet our pets' needs. Thankfully, we came across Del Norte Animal Clinic and you've all done a wonderful job for both Mymy and Marfy! Dr Williams and staff are always so wonderful when I come in to visit. Dr Williams has done surgery on all of my pets and I always feel that they are in good hands. I have gone to DN for about 38 years; Dr. Livingstone, or one of his associates looked after two cats, a dog, and then another dog. I recently had to have my funny guy, Gremlin, put to sleep. Dr. Williams and his aides were calm, quiet, compassionate, and very gentle. I do plan to get another dog next year and hope to take it to DN as well. I

I have been going to this veterinary clinic since 2016. My last visit was in 2018. My dog is sick today and wanted to make an appointment. They informed me I'm now considered a new client and they don't take new clients. I'm disappointed as apparently this is not about customer service or compassion but more about revenue.

There is not a better vet in Albuquerque. I would never go anywhere else. My dogs love them. The compassion that they show is unmatched. I appreciate how they use more conservative treatment at first rather than going overboard with unnecessary tests until it is warranted. I cannot say enough about Del Norte's staff.

My Doberman puppy almost throws summersault when he walks through the door of Del Norte Animal clinic; he absolutely loves it here (I think he is my first dog who actually loves going to the vet). Dr. Molten who is my two dogs’ vet is so wonderful! You can clearly see how much she loves animals and my dogs can tell.

Came here after another clinic recklessly burned my dog. Dr Sehrt was fantastic explaining what she believed happened and put him on a careful course of recovery. I wish I would have researched clinics in town with the AAHA certification before I left my dog elsewhere.

The cutest thing about this clinic is all the children's drawings on the walls. The clinic is clean but not overly sanitized and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The clinic has good prices for great loving care that they provide.
