DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY TYPE OF COLOR OR IF YOU DON'T SPEAK SPANISH. Ok let me start off by saying I hate writing negative reviews and I love to support businesses owned by poc BUT this was the absolute worst salon experience I've ever had. It was also a waste of over $400 and the integrity of my hair. I have struggled with trichotillmonia (a hair pulling disorder in the past), but my hair is grown out past my lower back. I have very long porous wavy middle eastern hair. My hair is naturally dry so I'm always hesitant to bleach unless it's done by a person who really knows what they're doing. I scheduled a $30 consult and spoke to Caesar who was very kind and I explained to him what I wanted and showed him and Dennis pictures of the very light ash brown hair color I would like. Caesar relayed this info to Dennis and Dennis put together a treatment plan of ~$400 this included hair color remover instead of bleach (as I had black box die which I know is very difficult to remove), a conditioning treatment, tone, trim and blowout. The day of my appt I came in at 12pm and it was just Dennis and Carol assisting him. Carol is very sweet, but she also does not speak English. Both worked on my hair and were not able to communicate with me what was going on. I tried my best to keep it simple and ask what they were applying to my hair. Halfway through the session Dennis started bleaching my hair without asking me. I knew it was bleach because it smelled like it and when I asked him about it he said "because color remover no work." I told him alright but please make sure no red no orange no warm tone. After shampoo bleaching my hair, he finally toned it. When he blow dried a strip of it to show me what the hair looked like I was so upset. It was literally brassy orange and yellow, my hair was four different colors and there was still black in the middle section of my hair. I freaked out and told him I told you no red no orange. He then toned it again to a darker color this time. I was so mad because what I had asked for wasn't even close. I asked for a cool toned brown and left with orange multicolor hair. An English speaking customer was nice enough to translate my frustration to him and kept agreeing with me that what I asked him for was nowhere close to what I got. He told her to tell me that he could fix my hair in two week. He told me come back 15-20 days I fix for free. So I did come back two weeks later and I ended up deciding to settle for a medium color brown shade with no warmth in order to avoid bleach. I was honestly worried that he'd just color my hair black again and it would be the same as it did when I walked in for my consult and of course that's exactly what happened. He sat there in my face and tried to tell me the black in my hair was brown. Mind you I'm born a natural ash brunette. I told him you basically took $400 from me and over 10 hours and damaged my hair with bleach just to give me black hair again in the end. He kept trying to lie to my face and tell me my hair was brown. I literally had agreed on a medium cool brown right before he started and I showed it to him and Caesar. I even asked an Amazon delivery man what color my hair was and he straight up said black. I'll let you be the judge though, all images are below. Oh not to mention he supposedly gave me a haircut last time but one of the girls working today told me oh you look like you need one. He also told me as soon as I walked in that blow out cost would be separate. I told him I don't even need one. Last "blowout" was a frizzy mess and I had curls on the inside of my hair. I looked like Peggy Bundy! Anyways if you want to waste hours of your day, feel like a Karen, damage your hair, and waste hundreds of dollars just to be disrespected by your stylist in the end, this is your place. How are you going to open a salon inside a busy mall but not communicate anything to them. I don't mean to be rude at all, but please please have one person at all times who speaks a little bit of English and can communicate what is happening with peoples hair.

I really liked how they were located in the Stonestown mall because I had friends with me and they had plenty to do while they were waiting for me. The attention to detail that Cesar, Dennis and Caro and Siany were perfect.The entire time I felt like I was the only customer even though it was a busy Saturday and there were lots of other customers getting their hair done. The setting was very clean and modern. The styling stations were spacious and had a vibrant feel. All of the staff was not just friendly, but they were experts in their field. Their knowledge of hair care, trends, and personalized recommendations was remarkable and really appreciated how they spent time figuring out what was important to me before starting the service. Also, they had lots of yummy snacks and refreshments.The place wasn’t overdone with color schemes and distracting visuals. For the service I wanted. My stylist, Dennis , had an incredible eye for understanding my preferences and offering suggestions that perfectly complemented my features and personality. His consultation was thorough, discussing various options before starting, ensuring I felt heard and understood. I’ve been to many other places where this wasn’t the case but not here! Cesar and Dennis both asked a lot of questions to figure out what was important to me and what was going to make me feel comfortable. I found this part of the entire experience reassuring because I’m always a little nervous when I go to a new place. The service itself was outstanding. The hair wash and scalp massage were so relaxing that it felt like a spa treatment. The precision and skill with which Dennis cut and styled my hair were beyond compare. He paid attention to every strand, creating a masterpiece that not only matched but exceeded my expectations.The final result was stunning, and I received numerous compliments. Before he started they tested a small part of my hair to ensure that I would get the results I was looking for. I sincerely appreciated this step because everyone’s hair is different and it’s important to know what i wanted was going to come out just how I wanted and it did! Throughout the entire process I felt confident and assured that I made a good choice in choosing this salon. Dennis and Cesar communicated all of the services that were going to performed prior to the service and gave a quote on the full service before doing a strand test. The products they used were of top-notch quality, and I could feel the difference. The entire experience was not just about a haircut and color. It was a rejuvenating and uplifting journey and I feel like I made a few friends in the process. I could really tell the Dennis and Cesar cared not only about the work they were doing but also me as a person.They take the time to understand their clients' desires, offering professional advice and recommendations to achieve the best possible results. The consultation process was thorough, allowing me to express my preferences and concerns while the stylist offered valuable insights, resulting in an outcome that perfectly matched my vision. The staff, without a doubt, is the heart and soul of this salon. Their expertise and dedication to their craft are truly unparalleled. Dennis and Cesar are stylist who exudes passion and skill, ensuring that every client receives not just a haircut, but an individualized work of art. The attention to detail is remarkable, whether it's a simple trim, a complex coloring technique, or a completely new style. I will definitely be back soon.

I’m a Stonestown regular and I noticed this nice salon so I went in for a quick hair trim and blowout with Dennis. I appreciated the hair wash and pleasant scalp massage. My hair looks and feels a lot more healthy with bounce to it. There’s also a hair keratin treatment that I will be considering. I then scheduled for a hairstyle/makeup for Coachella as I had a midday flight the day of the festival so I wanted to get ready in SF hop on a plane and hop out into the festival pretty much. The morning of the appointment I still had no clue what hairstyle or makeup I wanted so I’m thankful that Cesar and Daniel are experts. I pretty much knew I wanted a braid and bright eyeliner, from there they took over with their creativity and I’m so glad they helped me because I loved my look and rocked the hairstyle for the 3 day festival. I low key kept the lashes on for the 3 days too. I look forward to getting dolled up with them again

Was hesitant to even write a review because I wanted to gate keep this place for myself! Dennis and his team are amazing. They work really well together and you can tell how detail oriented Dennis is with cutting hair. Listen, if you get layers done on the regular, HES THE ONE. I showed Dennis a reference picture of what I wanted and he absolutely killed it. Expectation and reality were on the same page with this one. I’ve only come in for a haircut but have seen other services done on their clients; Based on that, I can say that they execute all of it very well. I’ve never received so many compliments on a haircut before! Definitely a loyal customer from here on out.

Dennis has literal magic hands and scissors! It's my second time coming for a haircut and he DID NOT COME TO PLAY! My hair was very long and kind of lost its shape. So I asked for about 6 inches off, followed by long layers and a v shape as the shape if my hair and long curtain bangs to frame my face. I had been searching for a salon with great quality and service for a while. Dennis Banguera’s Hair Salon caught my eye, and today, on a whim, I finally decided to go for a change in my hair. I showed them a photo, described the color, and even requested something a little different from the picture. To my surprise, they happily granted my wish and accommodated me in their schedule. I got my hair dyed and a fabulous new haircut. I love my new look! The service was exceptional, and all the staff members were incredibly attentive. I highly recommend this salon to everyone!

Really wanted to like this place because the pictures on here are great! Unfortunately, I left extremely disappointed. I went in looking for a bang touch up. There must have been miscommunication because the stylist began trimming my hair. Though I didn’t need (or want) one, I allowed them to proceed (my mistake). My hair was EXTREMELY uneven when I left. Friends of mine can’t believe they let me walk out of the salon like that. Some pieces are 2-3 inches longer than the rest. Bangs were not blended and overall poor attention to the customer and detail.

some of the workers don’t speak English which makes it harder to communicate. The top of my hair was a completely different color than the bottom , although I was provided a refund , I asked the secretory if she thought the hair color was okay and she was unable to provide an answer. I’m very disappointed and I was ignored through my complaint. They offered me to go back to black day of, they said my hair would get lighter within time, but stayed the same , after two weeks , which they said only 2 days was enough to see if it will get lighter.

I found this place on Google last minute and in a serious rush! When I tell you this place is AMAZING! It’s literally AMAZING!!! My hair looks and feels amazing! The entire team was extremely professional and welcoming. The customer service here is phenomenal. Denis and the team listened to all my concerns with care. This is how my new salon home. Absolutely loved the haircut they gave me! Did exactly how I showed them in a picture. Yes they speak Spanish but it was very easy to communicate with them. Came in for a root touchup and left with a blowout! :) The whole team here is so kind and it's my second time doing a walk in appointment. The first time I came in was just for a hair cut for some front layers, which you can see in the photos as well. I'm starting to grey so I like to get my grey hairs toned with Demipermanent. The team got my roots dark again and I left with a beautiful blowout by Dennis. Highly recommend! :)

I loved my haircut, but I really feel like I got ripped off. When they were done cutting my hair they tried having me walk out of the salon with my hair wet and then told me it was extra to blow dry my hair. It’s pretty standard to blow dry hair…They charged me full price of a blow out, which I didn’t even get get… Definitely NOT worth $150 for a standard trim.

Dennis is an amazing and awesome hairdresser. Dennis comes to Arizona to do my hair and my friends’ hair because he has a lot of creativity, experience, and patience. Dennis has other clients in Arizona so I always make sure I schedule him in advance and my friend’s and I wait for him to come. If we want our hair done before he is scheduled I send for him.
