I put my car in to EFI Automotive Hobart this morning to have the air conditioning looked at, hoping that it would just need regassing. I had my doubts as I was fearing that it would need an expensive overhaul after advice from another repairer. I was also expecting not being able to pick up my car until late this afternoon. Therefore, you can imagine how happy and relieved I was when just on an hour and a half later, I got notification that my car was ready to be picked up and I was given the great news when I got there, that my air conditioning had not only been fixed, but that it cost much much less than I was expecting. Despite it not being that warm in Hobart today, after not having air conditioning in my car since just before the start of last winter, the beautiful, fresh cold air that came out was fantastic. People could accidentally cough on me today, the Test Match in Sydney could be rain delayed all day (though I hope it isn't) and I would still be happy. As I'm someone who gets hot easily, especially in the car, Dave at EFI Automotive probably doesn't realise just what an important and great service he has done for me, as having cool air circulating inside the car whilst I'm driving is crucial for me. Opening the windows isn't the same. The last 6 months or so has been hell inside my car without air conditioning. I will definitely be taking my car back there when other things need doing on my car. Not just for their professionalism and great service, but also because they are nice, friendly people and Dave has got a good sense of humour that I can relate to. Thanks Dave, Emily and the rest of the EFI Automotive Hobart team. I will definitely be recommending you to other car owners.

I recently took my 2018 Holden Colorado into Dave and the team at EFI Automotive after taking it to a few different mechanics after noticing some issues with the Auto Transmission. I found Dave to be a breath of fresh air, he was transparent, knowledgeable and kind. Dave felt that due to the potential issues I was experiencing with my vehicle, that I would be better off taking it to a Holden specialist, as the issues may be covered under an extended 'good-will' warranty. Dave provided me with all the information I needed to book my vehicle in with the specialist. Dave, I enjoyed my experience with you, and enjoyed the friendly chat. I will definitely book in with you for the next scheduled service and any other issues that come up in future.

I booked here because they would not let me book my car in without first talking to the owner about my car which I thought was just amazing! Dave, the owner and extremely experienced mechanic after hearing on my arrival that it was my first day at a new job drove me to work so I wasn’t late after dropping my car off to them. He also picked me up from work which I was not expecting at all. He gave me a comprehensive report on my car as well as a full service. Absolutely fantastic service!

First time getting my car serviced in Hobart. I came across this place after getting ridiculous quotes for a minor logbook service. There's a wide range of mechanics in Hobart city but these guys were great to deal with and had an idea of what needs to be done. I was given a reasonable estimate by Tony prior to bringing my car in. Convenient place if you work in the city and it costed me less than $300 with a "new customer discount'! Car is '13 VW Polo

Excellent service! Had forgotten to take my number to call with their mechanic being sick & unable to do road worthy. But were excellent communicators & worked with me to support me towards a solution. People get sick, it happens & these guys were very gracious and honest in their mistake & helping to squeeze me in to get it sorted. Would highly recommend! I could not speak highly enough of the service I received today. I had long running electrical issue with my Land Rover that the dealer had been useless at fixing but great at charging me $$$ for. Today Dave and the team from EFI listened to me, and I felt I was speaking to an expert. They found the problem and fixed it in under 2 hours and I am so damn happy. Thank you.

Horrible experience!! Rang regarding a service they did on my Alfa Romeo, spent $260 for my air conditioner to continue not working. Was told up front that he would prefer not to have to work on Alfa's at all. Told me 'I obviously had no idea how air condition system's work' One of the rudest people in business I have ever come across - which is saying something.

My car's alternator died and I had to get an emergency tow by RACT - Dave from EFI Automotive (as they're called) was very communicative (rang through with costs, expectations of when the car was ready, etc..) and found a replacement part and had me back on the road on the same day. I'd definitely recommend.

Fixed my intermittent issue with the dash board going blank and the engine lights and ABS lights all coming on, and CANBUS errors. They were the third mechanics to look at it (not including myself trying to figure it out) and they sorted the wiring fault within 2.5 hours labour. Hasn't missed a beat since.

A very happy customer had drivers’ door locking problems (faulty actuator). Dave was so helpful, it was not his fault the part didn’t arrive with overnight freight, living in Tassie these things happen. Over all promptly fitted once arrived. Highly recommend Dave & his team, so courteous & efficient.

Had a problem with my vehicle which needed repair in a timely fashion. As it’s my work vehicle, a reliable and timely fix was my priority. Money less so. I could not be happier with the results including the price and excellent communication for all the staff. Highly recommended.

I took my vehicle in to have a dashcam installed. The service was prompt and friendly. For the price I paid, the installation was done very neatly, professionally and quick too. I highly recommend EFI for auto electrics servicing and installation.
