Wanted to try new restaurant at convenient location. Read previous reviews that mentioned no beer and bland food. Although the place was very nice looking with a large dining area and both high top and regular tables, I was by myself and decided to get take out. There were about 3 families eating at tables when I arrived at 5:45. I was instantly greeted by several wait staff. They had a very large menu. I wanted a full meal so ordered the carnitas platter which they said would take 15 minutes to prepare. About 10 minutes later I was given a large and full take out bag and charged $20. At home I was impressed. The main course contained several very large pieces of slowly roasted pork with grilled onions on a bed of rice and mashed beans. There was a separate container of shredded lettuce and a bean sauce. Then a large bag of chips, a container of salsa and 3 soft tacos. I could only eat about a third. Even with the salsa the taste was bland ( I do not like hot flavors). I added some salsa we had at home that enhanced the flavor. Admittedly, since I had take out, I may have missed sauces at the tables. Bottom line: pretty good. Would take my family there. Probably would choose a more flavored dish or ask for more spices. Very nice place and nice people. I hope they do well.

Went to El Cabo 06-07-23 for evening meal. Was a great experience from entry to exit. Pleasantly & promptly greeted and seated. Menu had very good selection of authentic Mexican cuisine and although Margaritas were on menu, they have no alcohol service yet. Seemed like they were in the midst of a soft opening and not quite ready for prime time. With that said-The service was very attentive and accurate. Diana was very knowledgeable of the menu and answered our every inquiry! When we asked for something she paid attention to only our request. The food was spot on and very delicious! It was very reasonable for what we paid. You could tell this establishment is really off to a good start in attitude and action towards patrons. My Wife and I have already put it on our "Visit frequently" list!

We ate here for the first time today and it was nice we ordered drinks then came food ordering time and the waitress told my husband that they don't do lunch on weekends so it's dinner on the weekends and she said since she didn't tell us she wasn't going to charge rhe 2.00 something more. When they brought his food out it looked good but it was small to get charged 2.00 something more. It wasn't worth the 11:43 but everything is going sky high so but all in all it was great food great customer service will be back

Food was delicious. I ordered the chicken burrito which is pictured on the left. It appeared pretty plain when I first got it but it was actually pretty good. My wife ordered the chicken chimichannga pictured on the right. It was DELICIOUS. I think when I go back that is what I will order. The staff and waitress were very nice. The chips were good but I wish the salsa was a little more spicy. Also we were advised that they were still waiting on their liquor license to serve alcohol. That was fine but we look forward to them getting their license so we can have a beer next time. Great place to eat.

Looks like this place has gotten good reviews since opening "Warning". I went there on Saturday August 8th around 8:20 and there were only 4 customers and they left as I was being seated, then there was just me. I thought that that was weird for a Saturday night. As I sat there waiting to have my order taken I noticed a worker eating at the bar, after ten minutes two other workers joined her and they just stood there talking. Ten minutes later I saw another worker walk over to a table upfront with 2 other workers and they were on their phones. After waiting 20 plus minutes and being the only customer in the restaurant. I just got up and left. I didn't even get to try the food. Lousy service!

We ordered to go so I can't rate much on atmosphere. The presentation was above the typical La Nopelera chain restaurant in Jax! It was pretty empty at 2 on a weekday but I hope it takes off soon because the food was good. It was a huge burrito with great portions of ingredients inside. I saw this new restaurant highlighted in a NextDoor post and decided to try it since I was nearby. I was very pleased! I will definitely go back to dine in and try some margaritas. Chimichangas We’re great not soggy at all. Victoria complained that they were closed at 9:30 instead of 10:00. What fool goes to a restaurant 30 minutes before they close for dinner. Those people have been working a long time. They want to go home. Maybe be more considerate and think about others than your selfish self. Some places will put extra ingredients for people like you. Not saying they would but some will.

Tried this place for the first time today and wow!!!!! It’s been hard to find a decent Mexican restaurant here that tastes authentic and this place did!!!!! Staff are friendly and the place is clean. The chips and salsa were awesome but the shredded beef chimichanga was AMAZING!!!!!!! The tortilla of the chimichanga itself was mouth watering! My sister had the cabo cheesesteak burrito and she was in heaven! The rice and beans are on point!!!!! I already love this place and will be back! Great job guys!

I think we were there during a soft opening period. Decorations were still being hung and did not have the liquor for margaritas yet, although they were on the menu. The waitstaff was still being trained but the service was good. The food was amazing. I will definitly be going back.

Excellent New Mexican restaurant! Service was excellent! Queso dip was delicious and a huge portions. The hot sauce that came with the tacos was very flavorful and a hit. Red enchilada sauce was yummy, not quite as flavorful as the hot sauce be still very much enjoyed the enchiladas. Shrimp taco was the best we had in a long time!! We will definitely be back!

It's a new place but I wasn't that impressed much. However I got the Cabo cheese steak burrito or whatever it's called and that thing is huge so although the items are pricey on the menu at least what I got can be broken up into two meals easily. The burrito I mention was just okay because the steak in it has zero flavor. And a huge thing they did not list any calories/nutrition information for any of the items on the menu. Ugh!

New spot in Regency/Arlington area! Staff is great: friendly, attentive. Food was fresh and flavorful. I tried the enchilada suizas, one of my go-to and was pleasantly surprised how well everything blended together. Sadly I saw after I was beyond full they make guacamole table side!! (Will be trying that next time) They don’t have their liquor license yet hence the 4 star but we will be back to update once they do.

The street corn left a lot to be desired. Forget about any of the cooking, the corn itself was not even sweet. The flautas, or taquitos we're okay. I prefer them with corn versus flour. The menu really did a poor job of describing portion sizes for price. Nice place, clean. Service was okay. I wouldn't say I'm not going back, but I'm not going to rush there.

I base my first opinions on cleanliness, service and salsa. The salsa is great! Has plenty of cilantro in it. Very yummy. Very clean place. Service was friendly and quick. I had the carnitas California burrito. I didn’t want to stop eating it was so good but huge so I took half home. Will be back to this restaurant.

I had the chile poblanos with shrimp, and they were very good! The food was very fresh and tasty. Chips were very crunchy and not greasy or salty. My husband had one of the huge burritos, that he said was very good. We'll definitely return here before any other Mexican restaurant. Glad to have a new, good restaurant in Arlington.

We tried this place on a whim. Great choice for a hot Saturday night! Loved the queso, salsa, and our entrees. Especially the California burrito with Al pastor and the cold beer! They even put on the Jaguars game for us on the big screens. Will definitely be coming back soon!
