All my animals have been under Ians care for many years, my cats, rabbits and extremely nervous rescue dog. Ian was the only vet she trusted and Ian went above and beyond to put her at ease. He has neutered all 6 rabbits, done my rabbits teeth a few times. Removed a cancerous lump from my dogs foot, I have to say, since Ian moved from Thornton heath to Croydon, I have tried to find a good vet nearer to me, only because he's an hours drive away and if there is an emergency I'd need a nearer vet, I have to say I have tried and have had really bad experiences. Ian is just so great, he's honest, really cares for the animals and knows what he's doing, I trust him completely and he doesn't overcharge. He gives time to explain everything. All the staff are great, Chloe, Michaela especially Jemma, she was great when one of my cats, Billy, had to be put to sleep and absolutely brilliant when sadly my dog, Georgie, had to go, it means so much when it's time to say goodbye and you have people like Ian and Jemma.

We have been with Elmfield Vets since getting our first puppy nearly two years ago. Being a boxer, Matilda, is not short on doggy health problems. The team at Elmfield have always been brilliant. I have noticed in the last year on my commute to work, where I pass other vets, that owners are stood outside in the rain or under a gazebo as they handover their pet. They are then handed back. For us, it has made a huge difference the lengths Ian and the team have gone to ensure we get consultations in person despite the challenges during the numerous lockdowns and ultimately, made us feel more reassured. I think that approach sums up the surgery, always trying to make it the best possible experience even in difficult times. Cannot recommend the practice enough and thank you for fixing skin issues, repeated ear problems and dodgy elbows!

Elmfield Vets was recommended to me when we first adopted our kittens from Cat Protection who are now 8 months old. They are not the nearest vet to me but I would travel for a good service to ensure my pets are getting the best care. We also have a puppy who is also registered with Elmfield Vets. The staff there are lovely and they always answer any questions that we might have, we are first time puppy parents so it is nice to know that advice is just a phone call away. What we love most about Elmfield vets is that the staff show a lot of love to our pets, stroking them, picking them up and calling them by their names. Thank You Elmfield Vets

Ian is not like all the other vets and just out to make money, Ian, Ash and the team have the animals welfare as first priority, ( this is what you want from a vet right?). He has a wonderful team, who love their jobs. Really beautiful vets (how often can you say that!?) and Ian is super friendly and professional. I always find vets to be a really somber place and its so refreshing to walk into such a chilled out environment! My dachshund puppy loved him and barely noticed his jabs going in as he chomped down on the treats Ian gave him. He was also kind enough to take a look at my poodles mouth after she had surgery at another vets just to make sure she was recovering okay. Really so happy to have found a good local vet!

Absolutely amazing vet! Came home last night to find one of my cats with a part of his ear cut badly. In a panic my husband found there was an emergency number to call. To my surprise it was Ian's number and he gave us fantastic advice and reassured us he would be just fine. He was able to fit us in the next morning to check everything was alright. I will definitely be recommending this vet to anyone I know and they will now be our regular clinic!

I started taking little Boyce to see Ian back in May. From the beginning Ian was absolutely brilliant with Boyce, treating him like his own dog. Very friendly and easy going. Ian is truly a great vet. He showed care and compassion throughout every visit. If you need a vet, go to Elmfield, you will be pleased that you did. I always got an appointment when needed. Took my GSD to Elmfield Vets as they stock oral KC vaccination and my vet does not. Was made to feel very welcome. Ian gave me a great insight into the pros and cons of oral v. nasal KC and was very patient with my dog … who was a trembling wreck as he has an aversion to vets surgeries.! Thanks to all at Elmfield vets, what I anticipated being a stressful visit went quite smoothly!

On 16 April was my first visit to Elmfield Vets. Having known Ian ever since he saved the life of my Cavachon dog Lexi six years ago, I was induced to move Vets and return to the hands that showed, and continues to show exceptional, love and care for animals. We have changed our vets to Elmfield vets as we knew Ian. Ashley is also caring and gentle, important when you have nervous rescue animals. Our experiences have been so positive and our pets love going to the vets. Treatments were effective and all handling gentle. They are lovely to deal with, reassuring and the reception staff are also very nice. Recommend highly.

Really friendly team from reception to vet - Ian is amazing. First experience was him carrying out emergency surgery on Wolfie after he had been attacked by a greyhound. Ian took him home with him to watch him overnight as was worried. He made a great recovery (pierced bowel amoungst other wounds). Now taking Cooper, a puppy, regularly to see Ian - love these guys

My cat was peeing a bit of blood and wasn't drinking, I reviewed a few vets as my local one is a travesty of greed, although this was not local to me their reviews were very good and alot of people pointed out that they care about your animals not your bank balance so had Leo's appointment it was quick but very nice people will stay here for my Leo's needs.

Lovely staff, very efficient, kind and helpful. Easy booking and at short notice with follow up appointments booked on the spot. Very clean and the vet herself was very knowledgeable and ensured my kittens were comfortable whilst getting their vaccine injections. Would definitely recommend Elmfield Vets to anyone locally with pets. Keep up the good work!

Super helpful staff, even when picking their brains before we acquired a dog and super helpful when navigating vaccinations, etc. Can always get a quick appointment to get my dog weighed before issuing the next 3 months of tablets (normally my fault as I’ve forgotten!) and very convenient location with free parking. Would recommend.

Amazing, independent vets! Ian is such a great vet, it's always very personal, not trying to rush you out the door and he is very compassionate! I feel confident that he wouldn't offer anything for the sake of money and would only do so when absolutely necessary, which is difficult to find in vets! Cannot reccomend him enough

Lovely new vets that have just opened. Clean and very welcoming in a great location. Ian is a brilliant vet and he has always been my 1st choice at our previous vets. He has now opened his own practice and i wouldn't want to go anywhere else. They are very caring and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Have been going here since about two years now - free parking, clean, friendly staff, friendly and knowledgeable vets who are always happy to answer the many questions I often have as a paranoid dog-dad. Have been accommodating when I have needed an urgent appointment in the past. Would recommend.

Ian and his team are fantastic. They genuinely care for the welfare of your pet(s) and treatment is tailored to the needs of each case and not just because there is a monthly target to be met. My dogs are extremely happy to go in and meet him and there can be no bigger accolade than that!

One of my elderly cats gets incredibly stressed when going to the vet which results in a messy carrier. Not with Ian though. He always manages to calm her and my other cat and cats I have taken to him for other organisations. I would definitely recommend Ian and his veterinary practice!

Went in for a check up and first vaccine with my new kitten. The lady checking my kitten was lovely and helpful and explained everything to me. The receptionist was very nice as well, registered me over the phone straight away and found me an appointment date. Very lovely place …

Had a gerbil with a tumour taken in for it to be removed. It was a very successful operation and little Fred is doing well! The staff here were super lovely, professional and polite. You can tell they love what they do and really care about every pet that comes through the doors.

Ian is a great vet - very relaxed and reassuring. The surgery is lovely and does not feel 'cold and clinical'. Ian provided support and advice from before we got our puppy. Lovely to have a thriving new business and really pleased to have moved to this vet with our new puppy.

I’ve seen Ian on a few visits with my dogs and found he has an extremely professional and considerate approach. He is very skilled, recently operating on my dog’s ear, with neat stitching so it will heal very well. With his competitive prices, I highly recommend this vets.

A good vet surgery, the vets are friendly, knowledgeable and happy to listen to your concerns and discuss the treatments without being condescending. Not cheap but not rip-off expensive either. The practise does try a little too hard to be trendy though.

Absolutely first class and all the staff are brilliant. Ian is been looking after Benjamin since he was a puppy and even had to remove a toe and it was done beautifully. Can’t recommend them enough. They’re very fair and very good.

Ian is excellent, he looks after two of my cats who are now getting elderly. He is compassionate and intuitive as to what they need. Saved Merlin, when he accidentally drank some anti-freeze. Highly recommend him.
