The customer service was good and the actual service was okay. Unfortunately you may not get your deposit back even if they tell you they have released the deposit, you arrive on time and have no damage reported. I recently rented a van from Newcastle to Bristol for moving. It was a pretty reasonable price and I was not overly phased by Europcar taken a deposit. I assumed this was quite a normal procedure. Unfortunately I did not realise how much I would have to go through to try and get my deposit back. Having handed the vehicle back with no damage or any comments of note I was told they would release my deposit. Time went by and I gained a bit of a bad feeling about it, as there was no action at all in my account. I phoned once and they were not interested really until it had hit past the 10 working days. Once it was past the 10 working days I phoned again and I received a dodgy looking receipt (honestly looks like a con) and was told to stay tuned. Another 10 days and yep nothing. When I phoned again they said it was not their problem it was my banks. Phoned the bank and they said they had no record of this and advised that I ask ARN number. Once I phoned again the same response ensued. When I asked for an ARN number I got nothing. All I could get was a promise of an "official" investigation into my deposit..... apparently it takes 7 days but I fully expect nothing to happen. To be honest I am fatigued and am struggling to care now and I am just really surprised and disappointed.
Charged me for fuel despite me returning the car full to the brim (filled to the point where pump cuts out and then drove it less than a km to the Europcar site). The thing that made me really angry is that it wasn't mentioned on checkout. The employee just waved his mobile phone at me and asked me to sign in the box with no explanation of what I was signing for. I only found out about the fuel charge two days later when I received the invoice via email. Luckily I have photos from when I picked the car up that shows the fuel gauge reading 7/8 when they said it was full. It looks like the gauge on the car under-reads. But there's no way they could have put 6 more litres in the tank after I returned it, which is what I was charged for. Annoying experience that could've been avoided by either a) being aware that the gauge on their car under-reads or b) having the conversation at checkout rather than just smiling, pretending everything is fine and then hitting me with a charge the next day.
Ahmed is an absolute hero. Rented a car here during the midst of summer, as i hadn't driven manual in years i figured it was too risky to continue the journey. Returned to the place to ask for an automatic replacement. Ahmed had a new car organised within an hour which turned out to be a decent one with a slight price add-on (didn't mind coz it was my problem afterall). Whole process was seamless, amazing hospitality, would rent from them againm

fantastic service. Neat and tidy car. Ahmed was the executive who delivered the car, he was very cordial and helpful . He was patient enough to explain me the insurance offers. He made sure that I drove with complete peace of mind. I was extremely happy with the service. Looking forward for further bookings.
Always an easy rental, nice staff and the vans are always in good condition. Have always had issues getting in at the 0800 opening time, i'm either left standing in the rain waiting to get let in for 10 minutes with other customers or the computer systems aren't turned on and its a slow start to the day
Employees here took advantage of my elderly parents. Had already paid for insurance and had coverage on the card we booked with, but he forced them to upgrade AGAIN or he would charge the selling price of the vehicle to their card as a hold… criminal and predatory behavior
We were desperate to get to Stansted airport and the staff helped us immensely by speeding up the procedures and getting the car ready. They put a smile on our faces and encouraged us to stay positive. Happy to report we made it smoothly and highly recommend their service.
The brake pads were so worn on the hire car the metal from the pads were grinding on the disks when the brakes were applied. A day of my holiday was wasted waiting for the RAC to replace the brakes. The brakes were not checked before I hired the car, this is dangerous.
I was waiting over 1hr 30mins after arrival to receive the vehicle as it wasn’t cleaned. I must also express my concern as I was misled during the upgrade process. The representative explained it was a fee of £20, not a daily charge of £20

I booked my car online. When I turned up to collect it at 8am, I was second in the queue and didn't get the keys until 8:30am. After handing over my license, the person serving me spent about 5 minutes typing. What were they typing? They
Sufficient service, the staff was sometimes hard to understand for foreigners since they spoke rapidly in Bristol accent. Furthermore it was a bit disappointing that the car we rented did not have built in navigation nor a phone holder.
Everything went perfect with my rental. Even the price was right... The workers at the counter were friendly and kind and gave me some great advice about my further travels. Thank you all. Enjoy a peaceful and Loving day. Terry
Some good prices to be had online at this place and pick up location is spot on as apposed to the airport. Not a very good fleet or cars very high excess on the third party on small cars so be ware.

I always use Europcar when in Bristol and I find it is a relatively easy process. There are however a couple of things that would have made my latest rental less painful.
The staff member in charge of my car's pickup and return was incredibly friendly, and the entire process of both the pickup and return went smoothly without any issues.
