BEWARE! After going through the car wash I decided to vacuum the inside. While vacuuming, we noticed the running board was loose. As we attempted to reattach, it falls off. (So thankful I didn't drive down San Jose at 45 mph!!) The lady was very nice and very new. Another gentlemen had me fill out incident paperwork. I received a call ONE WEEK later and was told because my vehicle had over 100,000 miles and over 8-10 years old they don't recommend using their car wash. (And this info is supposedly posted.) I drive a car that it will probably last for 300,000 miles. Guess I'm not their 'target market' or anyone else who has a used vehicle within this criteria. I was also told my running board needed to be so many inches off ground and after reviewing the video, they can't access whether or not my car exceeds the limit. After telling me a story about a man who drove a Corvette through after being warned of height restrictions which resulted in damage, I inquired at the reason I wasn't warned. Crickets...(Maybe it's because I drive an older vehicle.) I explained that the age or price tag of any vehicle does not equal personal value. The gentlemen who contacted me was a member of management. He offered no apology and only gave a ten-minute explanation of their policies. No $5 wash is worth the time and money of now having to find and purchase the replacement parts. Ask a neighbor kid, who probably needs the money, to wash it for you. Dealing with a teenager will yield less hassle.

I joined the car wash monthly membership several years ago and I have enjoyed the service I’ve received since I became a member. Recently the brushes on the right side have not been working and the front brush is working but not as well as it has in the past. I notified an employee today about the brushes, her name is Jauncy. Jauncy assured me that the problems were going to be resolved soon. She said the car wash had been sold recently to a new owner and the new owners were very concerned with getting everything working properly and making this car wash facility the best in the area. I was impressed with her concern about the equipment not working properly and her enthusiasm regarding the new owners. She is an asset to the company and the new owners should be very proud they have such a dedicated employee. Thanks, Aaron

3:20 pm on 2/21/2020....if you can clone him or give him a raise to keep him there!!!! Attention to detail; sprayed the bugs and wheels and it was not just special Tesla treatment (which yes is sometimes noticed...some people obviously like some people obviously dislike!!) He took the same care to the car we saw going in as we were leaving. UPDATE: 3/26/22...pretty disappointing; I am usually impressed however this time I went through twice it still was NOT clean. I didnt bother a 3rd time. There was still pollen all over the roof and hood, it was alot faster than normal so it wasn't under the dryer, wheel wells still had that splashed look like after you drive through gravel in the rain. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Decent, self service, drive through car wash. The car wash itself is pretty good, and there are brushes for any nooks and crannies you know don't normally get hit. I'd suggest bringing a chamois. Unfortunately the vacuums have very little power, and it's so hot in Fl. it's probably worth the extra $8 to drive a mile down the road to Bubbles and get a full service wash... Update: I had joined their monthly service, but wasn't thrilled with having to their sticker on my windshield. I decided to cancel the service. Months later I noticed I was still being billed, so I called corporate and they refunded me. Just looked at my credit card statement . They're still billing me. Be wary of their billing:-/

I've had multiple cars damaged in their wash. Unfortunately it's hard to place liability on them. Read their terms and conditions. Learned my lesson, no more lazy automatic washes for me. One time a floor mat stuck in a mat cleaning machine. Took me 30 minutes to get someone to come over with a key and get it out of the machine. It bent up the floor mat too. Another time, some punk was wrapping up the vacuums, and decided to lecture me on abusing their equipment. I didn't even touch their vacuum.

Zips is a decent touch free car wash with a couple of important setbacks. First, the touch menu when ordering which wash tier you would like to purchase does not indicate the difference between washes. I still don't know what the deluxe includes that the basic does not offer. Second, my car is always still a little wet when exiting the wash no matter what. The pros are that they offer free unlimited vacuums and mat cleaners at the end and you can towel dry your car at that point.

I went to express car wash on San Pablo with my mother last week wanting to purchase the minimal package for her. However, the sales associate, I believe her name was Grace, was so friendly and knowledgeable my mother ended up purchasing the premium package and is now talking about going back to purchase more as Christmas gifts. All because the woman made her feel valued as a customer. Goes to show how friendly customer service really does matter! Highly recommend this place!

I was really impressed with how well the drive through car wash cleaned my car. Just got back from the smokey mountains and my car was covered in dirt. The guy running the car wash, named Bernard, was extremely nice too! He informed me of the floor mat cleaner, and also made me feel safer (as the vacuuming area is rather dark). I really appreciate how helpful and friendly he was. My car will definitely be back after my next road trip.

Now I get to go home and wash my car after paying $20 here. And I had to go through 3 vacuums before I found one with enough suction to pick up a leaf. AND, after putting the floor mats through the mat machine, I got to vacuum my floor mats and watch as the spot I just vacuumed actually got less dirty. I say “less dirty” because the thing wouldn’t get all the pet hair after going over and over and over it. Don’t waste your money!

Great car wash. Mike and his employees, especially Jauncy, care about your vehicle and always give extra services. I’ve been coming to this car wash for many years and it’s the best one in Jacksonville. I’ve had a monthly plan for several years and I can use it anywhere in town or the country. It’s great for traveling and needing to get your car cleaned and vacuumed. Highly recommend this San Jose location.

Katelyn did a great job explaining the promotion and packages on her first day! Signed up for the $20 package and got bumped up to the premium wash for the first one! Edit: While the staff is great, the carwash itself is lacking. One of the brushes doesn't spin at all and the wash never properly cleans the back of my truck. This is an ongoing issue and why I cancelled my original membership.

I have been a customer here for years and think it is time to move on. The wash itself is overpriced and when I pod for tire shine the light came on as if spraying then there was nothing on my tires when I got out. The vacuum area is dirty and ever other vacuum doesn’t work or has zero suction. I wish the facilities were more up to date, it’s just not worth the cost any longer

I paid for the $10 shine it car wash and clearly there is nothing washed or clean about my car. The brushes during the car wash didn’t touch my car once, it was sprayed with soap but never rinsed. I tried to find and employee but there was only one employee in the beginning of the wash and I couldn’t get back there to speak with him

Zips is the best! I have had a great experience here. Whenever you need to cancel your membership, downgrade or change your billing info, it’s a quick and easy process, and the staff is friendly and ready to help you. They offer clean rags and spray bottles to get any missed spots/suds. Awesome wash with an awesome staff!

Car wash is great. Vacuum area is nice and appreciate the towels available. The door on the bathroom available outside to customers is completely busted and I was stuck inside unable to get myself out for way too long. If I had been alone, I would never have been heard to get helped. Really dangerous situation.

I go out of my way to come to this specific Zips location. Most of the other ones are garbage that have all broken vacuums and use no soap. The man who usually works in the convenience store is so sweet as well. Also, their subscription is not a scam—you just cancel the subscription the day you sign up.

Save your money and drive your car through a sprinkler, you will have fewer water spots. When this wash first opened (several years ago) it was great! Has gone down hill since then. Did some remodels this year, but the dryer is not worth anything. On the plus side, the vacuums do seem better though.

Place was much better under the "Carbux" ownership. Machinery performance has gone way down. There is always something wrong. A good 25% of the vacuum hoses are missing. The shampoo machine hasn't worked since the day they took over. As soon as my contract is up, I'm going to Zip somewhere else.

The experience was as I expected it to be. I went today they have upgraded the vacuum system. Hands down it is the strongest that I have experienced! I was also offered a car wash deal that was a no brainer. $50 a year, multiple cars, @ a highly reduced per wash charge. Ex.$7 wash becomes $3!

Had amazing service at this car wash and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The younger worker named Peter assisted me when I was having some trouble with the vacuum and was very attentive and helpful. I will definitely be back and am considering purchasing a membership as well.

Brendan was so nice!! I had unfortunately ran over a can of spilled white paint and got it all over the side of my car. Brendan pressure washed the car two times and gave me a free wash to make sure it was all gone. This guy really did the most for me and it was extremely appreciated.

This place is dodgy. Guy gave me a sticker for unlimited washes for ONE month for 15$... Proceeded to bill me 30$ in the following months. Went in to cancel, got 1-800 number that was having technical "issues". First time ive left a review on a business so thats saying something

Bought a 16 dollar wash today after getting on the road I had discovered that the wash had ripped off my antenna, tried to call the place and their number doesn't work. The vacuums also had no sucking power and the wash did a poor job. Would not recommend to any one.

This place was great 4 years ago. Now, the value is just no longer there. Carpet mat machine often broke, vacuum hoses very little suction and the cycle just doesn't get your car clean. With Camel right now the street, I won't be using this car wash anymore.
