For starters I purchased a prearrangement with this funeral home about a week before we expected that my father would pass. I was assured since there wasn’t any type of life insurance I would be able to continue to make payments on his service only to find out I had been lied to and had to pay the amount upfront at the time of service. I was already emotional and from start to finish this was not an easy thing to do in itself but this funeral home not any of its employees were helpful, including the main funeral director who during the service proceeded to bully me about the people who were at the service because he thought since I was handling the services so my mom was not more stressed, he had assumed she was passed away as well. I would highly recommend looking at any funeral home other than this one. Terrible treatment from the entire staff minus one whose name was John. Do not go to this place for your family’s services. I have PTSD just from dealing with this facility and their employees. Highly disappointed!!!

My family was very pleased with the job they did. They were quick to address anything we mentioned and wanted us to be pleased. The building is very pretty (I had been in it awhile back, so I already knew this). And also, after meeting myself and my children, and seeing our desire to not over dramatize, they suggested that we might like to have a special song at the very end of the funeral. My husband, the deceased, was a musician, a bass player. They asked what we thought of playing "It's all about the bass" after all the regular music was finished. My grandchildren (all adults or nearly adults) loved the idea, as did we all. It suited his personality so well. Overall, we have only compliments, no complaints for this business. This is a business that you never want to have to deal with, but when necessary, you sure are grateful for kindness and understanding.

The reason for my low star rating is that the communication was very poor. I came in on a Tuesday after my family member passed on a Monday. I was informed that the death certificate already been signed and I should have them by Thursday. I was also told that my family member was being taken to West 86th St for holding until we came in to make arrangements, but we found out that she was actually taken to a facility Downtown and that she would be moved to a facility on the NE side of Indy to be cremated. I didn’t receive the death certificates until the following Monday and then discovered that the cremation actually took place in Columbus, IN. Although everything worked out I was having to make phone calls daily to receive updates because I was not contacted from the funeral home.

I used Family Funeral Care on Rockville Rd Indy West for both my son's celebration of life. John Grief was my main contact person during both celebrations of life. He was very compassionate and caring from the first time I met with him. There are not enough words to describe my appreciation for him. As we made arrangements he was very understanding and patient as he went through each step on the decisions I needed to make. The rest of the staff was very pleasant each time I spoke with them. I highly recommend Family Funeral care. They were truly a blessing during such a difficult time.

We went there with my mom and prearranged her funeral so she could pick out everything. From the time the 2 ladies picked up mom after she passed away all the way to the day after the funeral when we stopped by to pick up the flowers, the staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I have been to many funerals in my 61 years and the staff here treated us as family and they felt like family to us. We didn’t have any worries and everything went as planned. My whole family is extremely grateful to the entire staff for helping us through this difficult time. God Bless You All❤️

Working with Family Funeral Care has been an excellent experience during a most difficult time. The facility was well prepared and organized for our service. The staff have been great and compassionate during our planning, the service and post service as well. All personnel treated our family with dignity and compassion. The planning and pricing was well received and never did they try to pressure us into services we were not interested in. I would highly recommend this organization should the need arise. Family Funeral Care staff were wonderful. They are very professional and caring. The compassion they show is truly unremarkable. I lost my mom to cancer and was undoubtedly a mess. But they didn't use that time to take advantage. They were courteous, professional, caring and compassionate. Highly recommend for your loved one.

We had a great experience for my grandfathers viewing and service. They were extremely considerate at the funeral home and gravesite. Their fee's are reasonable. They provided a tripod so we could zoom the service for out of state family members.
