I can’t recommend Peter and the team highly enough. We have been taking our two cats and two dogs to see Peter since we moved to the area nearly two years ago. All our animals are kind of middle aged so have the usual problems like getting their teeth cleaned and keeping up with all the worming and tick treatments. Let’s face it no one wants gross teeth, worms and a tick, which was something we never had to think about before moving to Brisbane so it was great to have Peter explain it all to us. During the last couple of years both our dogs have had some pretty major surgery and I do really like the way, when it is an option, that Peter suggests a more subtle approach before going in guns blazing. This was really good for one of our dogs and gave us a chance to really assess the situation before going in hard and fast when it was necessary. One of our dogs had cancer in her toe and the whole procedure from beginning to end went so smoothly and I felt involved and informed every step of the way. Just this week, the same dog, has had an awful sudden problem and had to undergo an emergency operation. I feel totally confident and at ease with Peters advice and as upsetting and emotional as it was I felt very comforted by Peter, Nicole and Kathy. Our other dog had to have knee surgery and it was done so well that you would never had guessed there had ever been a problem in the first place. I also really love that I can have a great chat and laugh with Peter and the girls and share funny and sad stories about all the animals. It makes going to visit the vet a most enjoyable and fun experience. I really love the way Peter and all the girls know all the habits of my dogs and are familiar with their behaviors so know if there is a change I should be aware of. I should also say that compared to our other vet, in the ACT, the fees have been very reasonable and quite a lot cheaper than what we were paying for standard procedures (like teeth cleaning). We even buy some of our specialty cat food from there as one of our cats has a few urinary problems. We do have one cat without any problems so it’s not all doom and gloom. I would love it if one of my dogs could write a review, she is the greatest fan of all! I think the treats help and all the pats and lovely smells! Anyway I hope this helps anyone looking for a great local vet, I know it is hard when you move to a new area to have to find new doctors, dentists and vets. Maybe you’ll see me around one day...I have the dogs and cats with pearly white teeth!

We called up and asked them to get details from the previous vet we had been to. They said they would and they didn’t. When my partner took the dog, they upsold products to him that she didn’t need. If they had done there job, they would of seen she didn’t need this yet. All they see is dollars and not looking after there customers. Such a shame as this vet is around the corner from us now. Reply from us Ferny Grove Veterinary Clinic as I said when I booked. She needed her vaccinations done for the year. Bravecto and worming are a regular monthly and 3 monthly add ons that. When I asked about you contacting the vet, you said you tried once. This is something I thought all vets did (as we did it last time we moved and it was no problem). I thought your best interested would be to see what she needed instead of trying to up-sell your products to us. Yes my partner wasn’t sure what she needed but when I booked you said you would get her details and find out what she needed, and I was under the assumption this was done from our phone call when I booked (otherwise I thought you would of let me know as I couldn’t make the appointment). I don’t feel you did put Charlie’s needs first just your own

This team is caring, compassionate and professional. With short notice when I couldn’t get into anywhere else, they saw my dog Kona who had been throwing up. The diagnosis and treatment for Kona was spot on and she was right as rain after a few days. My Cat Rosie who was 19 years old went downhill quickly a couple of weeks ago and once again Pete and his team on very short notice were available to help us give Rosie the quick painless end that she deserved. I cannot speak highly enough of this vet and the team operating this clinic. I will not take my animals anywhere else having experienced the standard of care and knowledge this practice provides. Thank you for being there for me twice when I needed help for my fur babies. I am extremely happy to have found this veterinarian.

We have been taking our dogs to Ferny Grove Vet for years and have received nothing but fine and professional service and care. Dr Roche provides honest and up front treatment options and the nurses are only too happy to help, even with nervous or unruly animals (and owners!). Ferny Grove and surrounding areas are paralysis tick hotbeds and I'm glad our dogs have never had one thanks to Dr Roche's advice on preventatives.

Came in yesterday after our dog Rosie collapsed and gave us some $315 heart tablets. After a quick look online to see the same tablets go for significantly less I went back in today to clear it up. Turns out we were overcharged $230 'by accident' with no offer of refund. Be wary of this place and please check your invoice. Hate to think someone else be overcharged 'by accident' by these subtle scammers. Unbelievable.

The staff and vet at Ferny Grove Vet are friendly, attentive and also genuinely care for all animals. My wife and I were taking our 13 year old German Shepherd to Pete and the nurses for a few years and they couldn't be more helpful. Specialists were recommended when required and the staff had a good bond with our dog. They also helped a lot when he eventually passed and showed compassion and understanding.

Although the lady on the desk was friendly, I found the actual vet to be abrupt and unhelpful. He didn't engage with my puppy at all before sticking a needle in his neck and didn't give me an opportunity to ask questions or anything. I would give them points for seeing me without an appointment but to be honest I'd only go there in an emergency and even then I'll be looking at other options.

I would highly recommend Peter and the team at Ferny Grove Vet Clinic. They have always gone above and beyond to care for my pets and I always feel that the advice and care they give is top notch. I had been to a lot of vets in Brisbane before and there is no one I trust more than the Ferny Grove Vet team. Even though I moved and I live 30 minutes away, I still drive my pets to Ferny Grove.

Such a great clinic! All of the staff are fantastic and offer a genuinely warm and caring environment for pets and owners. Both of my dogs have recently needed procedures done and I felt so comfortable leaving them in their capable hands. They are also reasonably priced and during the very thorough consultations you don't feel like they are rushing you through. I highly recommend!

Very caring and courteous staff and vet. Looked after the final days of my best mate, my 12 year old German Shepherd, and it was obvious they truly cared about him through the process. Peter made a very difficult time much easier to cope with. I have nothing but the highest praise for these guys and the way they do business and care for the animals that come into their care.

Brilliant team at the Vets on McGinn Road. My Maremma recently had a big operation on his knee and couldn't be more happier with the ongoing results and support. They're the most kind and friendly animal-lovers you could hope to have looking after your extended family and would happily recommend them to other pet owners anyday.

If I could do negative 100 I would. No care by him to the pets or family. I wouldn't be surprised once he said we couldn't be in the room when our beautiful cat was put down if he took him out the back and ended his life another way. Only positive thing I can say is the nurses are great! Never and I say never go there!

Very pleased with the service. Dr. Roche was patient and explained in detail about the condition of our puppy and our options. In addition to reviewing the current symptoms Dr. Roche also proactively explained the benefits of healthy diet and dental hygiene and we got a little goodie bag too. Highly recommended....

I have seen Peter Roche and his crew for about 10 years now and they have always been fantastic. Good honest feedback and really caring people combined with professional care and support when we needed it. My dog even loves the place! Unfortunately I have now moved too far away so I have to change vet.

I truly wish I could give zero stars for the heartless way this clinics handled a local runaway chihuahua called Maddy today, absolutely putrid, you should be ashamed of yourself, please beware people, this person called Chey is on a power trip and doesn't really care about our furbabies

Peter saw my dog helmet for a dental check up. he did a very thorough check of his mouth and instead of recommending an expensive dental straight away I was given some alternative care options. I really appreciated his honesty.
