FineLines Roofing just finished putting a new roof on our 13 year old house. The house builder did a terrible job, leaks, quick repairs, more leaks. We had enough and called FineLines, they gave us a quick response, and were able to get the re-roofing job started within weeks. I work from home and have experience with home construction and renovations and can safely say, after watching their crew at work, their attention to detail and quality of work combined with the way they interacted with myself and my wife, you cannot find a better company to deal with. They finished the roof within the timeframe they said it would take, they were always keeping us "in the loop" with regards to schedule, status, problems which came up, and solutions. When the roofing crew was done, they left the jobsite as clean as it was before, not a nail or piece of debris to be found! The owner Mike, personally repaired the dormer siding, flashing and windows with meticulous care and the end result was superb, looks way better than it originally was. I can now sleep well at night knowing I will not have any issues with my new roof, it was done RIGHT! Many of my neighbors have had similar problems of "bad leaky roofs" done by the builder and stopped by to talk with us on how we like FineLines Roofing. We highly recommend FineLines Roofing. We had brown water spots (appearing only the the winter/spring) on our second floor bedroom ceiling from an unknown issue on a newer home. We sent a request for FineLines to come and have a look and give us an estimate. Mike contacted us quickly and set up the appointment for the next day. When he came he spent time up in our attic and took pics of what he found. We got the estimate of the work that night along with the pictures of what he observed which turned out to be a blocked airflow, lack of insulation (in some areas)and condensation issue. We decided to book with Mike to get this work done. At the end he described what he did to improve the airflow and insulation in the attic (which involved removing wood that was blocking air flow, reinforcing a collapsed baffle, and ensuring the insulation was adequate and distributed evenly). Mike showed us the "after" pics and he did a great job. He removed the airflow obstructions, secured the baffle and fixed the insulation. He is confident that this will take care of our mystery ceiling water spots. We too are 100% confident with the work that he did and are so happy we went with FineLines. We used FineLines Roofing and Renovations to replace our roof, to replace two skylights, and to insulate the attic where the skylights were installed. When quoting the work, they noticed the ice damming issues that we had been experiencing for many years. It was this attention to detail that differentiated their quote. I had forgot to mention as we just came to accept it. They also fixed our chimney cap that was damaged in the Derecho. When fixing it, they found that it had not been supported properly. Mike, the owner, and David, who quoted the work, personally fixed these areas. We were pleased with the attention to detail and craftsmanship. Also, their crew was really good at cleaning the site. There were no nails or other debris. They also shared photos of the before and after, so we could see the work they did. FineLines are more than a roofing company, they understand what a build requires, and we’re exactly what we needed for our structural issues.

Had two old bathroom fan units replaced, which required entering the attic through the roof. Mike and Dave made quick work of it: opened a hole in the roof, replaced the pipes and existing vents, and patched up the roof. Not only were they efficient, but also VERY clean. Barely any sign that they were here. The section of the roof they had to replace is almost a perfect match, imperceptible difference. And the fans are working perfectly. If we had anything to complain about, it would be the price. However, we checked around and they appear to be well within market standards. We might have given them four stars because scheduling was a bit last minute. We're a busy family and need to plan things well in advance. That being said, I didn't anticipate that they would be in and out in half a day, with so little left behind for us to clean (our experience with some trades in the past). Although listed as roofing service, Finelines does much, much more - outdoors (decks, siding, doors and windows) and indoors (bathrooms, basements, kitchens). We were so pleased with Mike Forget's roofing job in 2010 that we have been going to him ever since for all of our renovations/repairs. Mike is prompt, professional and very personable. He provides free estimates and, if contracted, informs the customer of when work will be done and, while working, what is going on. He stands by his work and responds to requests if any issues arise. Can't think of any reason to go to any one else for our building needs.

Water was leaking through our bathroom exhaust fan during heavy rains. Mike and Dave were the only roofing company that responded on the day I called them and two other companies. One of the other companies finally called back almost a week later to say they couldn't do any work until next spring (!). They promptly responded with a site visit and a quote, and, after making a down payment, completed the repair work the same day, showing me pictures of the roof repair, which included needed repair unrelated to the leak through the bathroom fan. Great work, Guys!

David and Mike performed several repairs in our attic with very short notice. David came out to perform a quote the day after my inquiry; he explained everything thoroughly during his inspection so that I knew exactly what was wrong, and what the the recommended fix was. Within 3 days, they replaced our attic hatch, installed 2 new bathroom fans (fixing the attic ventilation), and insulated the attic. Professionalism and craftsmanship at its best! We hired FineLines Roofing and Renovations Lts this year to replace our roof, repair structural design flaws that were causing leaking and replace our eaves throughs. This was our 2nd house we have had Dave, Mike and their team replace our roof. They are very professional and punctual. During the ice storm on 5 April a falling tree punctured two holes in my roof. I contacted FineLines and within an hour Dave showed up and placed a temporary cover over the damage. The relatively small job of re-shingling our garage roof by Finelines Roofing was done with every effort to provide a good service. Both Dave and Mike were personable and responsive, answering our questions in a timely manor. The roofers, Raymond and Oliver, did a great job, and made every effort to not damage our garden plants, and left the site clean and tidy. We had two bathroom vents installed. The upstairs bathroom never had a vent as it has a window, and the powder room vent was loud and did nothing. Mike and Dave made the whole process very easy, they were done in a little over half a day and cleaned up after themselves. The new fans they installed are super quiet and do a great job.
