If you're a woman planning a move, please do not choose Flat Bid Moving. The owner, Carlos Diaz, is a misogynist and entirely unprofessional. We contracted him for partial packing and moving services in March 2023. I was dissatisfied with both services. Bottom line: many special items including furniture were damaged upon delivery and I was treated abusively by one of his employees. When I tried to work with Carlos to arrive at appropriate compensation for the damages, he never took ownership for the problems nor did he apologize for my negative experience with his personnel. His methodology is inconsistent and his employees are a mixed bag. Some respectful and competent and just as many are inexperienced and clumsy. One man was verbally abusive towards me in front of my three young children. I sent Carlos a professional email outlining the issues I had and his response was to ignore me for a week. When I circled back, I was met with disrespect. Yet when my husband insisted that they repair a hole they put in the wall, it was handled professionally. Ultimately, Carlos offered me a brusk acknowledgement that items "may" have been damaged and a check for the arbitrary amount of $420 which doesn't begin to ameliorate the offensive experience nor does it cover the replacement cost for my broken items. Moving is stressful enough. Please don't expose yourself to being disrespected on top of everything.

I've moved 17 times in my adult life and this company is definitely the best. Carlos came over to our 2 bed 2 bath apartment and gave us a quick quote that was in line with the quotes we received from other companies. He was very professional and we liked that they use expert movers on salary. The crew came over on a Friday to pack everything and then Saturday to load and move it into storage for us. We listened to reggae together and I packed up my travel bags while they packed the rest of our stuff. Really nice guys, very experienced too. When we got the keys to our first home a few months later they did an excellent job unloading the boxes and furniture. They labeled things well which helped us know what rooms to put the appropriate boxes in. The crew that moved us in was different, but equally friendly, professional, and quick. 2 massive storage containers were unloaded in a few hours. I highly recommend using these guys for your moving needs. They helped us find a great storage company that they loaded our stuff into too (mi box was the name I believe). All of our valuables were undamaged due to their great packing. You won't go wrong with them!

We got in touch with Flat Bid Moving through Mi-Box Storage. Faith [Mi-Box] suggested that we call Carlos [Flat Bid Moving] for a company that would cater to our needs. We wanted a company that would move furniture to a storage unit that might be on our driveway for one month or six months, depending on if our HOA started to breath down our necks. Construction took six months and Flat Bid returned to move the furniture back into the house, as well as to move the furniture in the house to new locations within the house. Some of our furniture, like two wooden heavy executive desks were difficult to move [one of them damaged a wall when initially moved by a different company], and we have a narrow stairway, so we thought we'd need three people, but Carlos figured that two would work and he sent the right two: Josh and RJ. They spent a few hours moving the furniture here and there and were super-duper responsive to changes in locations during the move. Hats off to Carlos and his team. Great job and thanks a bunch.

Carlos and his team are simply amazing! Look no further for any other moving company! I’ve worked with them twice now and will hire them again soon for my parent’s move. My first move was during a stressful time and Carlos reassured me that they would take care of everything door-to-door. I was essentially between homes for a month, needing to leave the one I just sold, but without a place until my new house was done being built. They did everything - packed my place up, stored everything, delivered to my new spot when it was ready, etc. I was impressed with not only how hard everyone worked, but with the quality of their work as well. It also helped that their team was very friendly and genuinely just good, honest, compassionate people – that is so rare to find! I’m so happy to have been referred to this wonderful team and I myself will also refer them to others who need help with their move. These guys were great! Getting a quote and scheduling was very quick and no fuss, which is a big part of why I booked them. They arrived promptly, on time, the day of our move, and were quick and efficient throughout the entire day. The guys helped reassemble anything that was disassembled during the move, which was a huge relief for me! I also had a lot of specialty equipment for my work that is very delicate, and they were respectful with my equipment, and were very open for communication about my concerns for specific pieces. When some glass from a frame was accidentally broken, they quickly reassured me that they would pay for a replacement. Once I replaced the glass, they promptly sent me the $ to cover the cost, no hassle. Overall, I'm really happy to have had their help with my move! I'd definitely recommend them, and would 100% use them again.

We just had an excellent experience with Flat Bid Moving last week. Carlos Diaz coordinated the move and was very responsive every time I e-mailed him - he sent a quote very quickly and set up a date for the move. The quote was very fair - half the price of other moving companies in our area. We were having some furniture moved from the San Diego area to Phoenix, Arizona. The movers showed up right on time to load up the furniture, then the next day the furniture was delivered on time in the morning to our home in Phoenix. Easy! So much better to have a small mover do a direct door to door move. All of the movers were professional and protected all of our furniture very well, including a glass table top and a large mirror. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Thanks to Carlos, Keith and everyone else who did such a great job with our move!

I have never hired movers and always did it myself but this time we hired Flat Bid Moving. Carlos and his team are true professionals and made this move the easiest move we ever had! In fact, I’ll never move again unless I can use Carlos and his team at flat bid moving! Every piece of furniture was wrapped with blankets and cared for like it was their own. They also took everything in the house and placed everything in the right rooms vs stacked in the garage. what took my father in law and myself to do, they did in 1/3 the time and that blew me away! I HIGHLY recommend you use flat bid moving for your next move or at least give them a call for advice because Carlos will take care of you just like family! Thank you Flat Bid Movers for taking care of all the heavy lifting (literally) from my move! Moving us so stressful and I can not imagine going thru it with a different team. My move was yesterday from OC to SD. Andres and Tiko called in advance to give their ETA and arrived right on time and got straight to work. They were kind, professional and incredibly careful with my boxes and furniture. And they moved everything into my new place with just as much care. I was amazed at how quickly they were able to get things in and out. Flat Bid Movers are the best of the best and the only movers I would use in the future or recommend to friends and family. 5 stars!!! My moving experience was outstanding, and I wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating. From the moment I contacted the company, their professionalism stood out. They promptly assessed my apartment, provided a transparent quote, and their business approach appealed to me. On the packing day, they accomplished the daunting task of packing up our entire three-bedroom apartment in just four hours, a feat that would have taken me days. When it came to the actual move, they were equally efficient, completing it in another four hours without a hitch. What truly impressed me was the courteous and tidy demeanor of their entire team. Flat Bid Moving are by far the best movers I have ever worked with! Their prices are unbeatable and the service is impeccable. They came exactly when they said they would and worked faster than they said they would. They were SO careful with my belongings, not a single item was damaged. They are friendly and actually made moving fun. Definitely ask for the “kitchen pack”. They packed my entire kitchen I didn’t even need to step foot in there to move. And when I unpacked it everything was organized and wrapped up so that nothing was damaged or broken. If I could give them a million stars I would! Highly recommend!

Carlos leads the team with another happy customer. I sent him some pictures of everything that needed to be moved and within a couple hours I had a bid. A couple days later he had a company drop off bins for the papers, pens, notebooks, etc to make it easier for moving. His guys were right on time, they moved things efficiently, and everything made it to the new office in great shape. Carlos estimated 6 hours for the move and they were done in 5 hours and 40 minutes. If you are looking for high quality at a fair price, Carlos and Flatbid Moving is your company.

Amazing service and communication. One of my friends refered me to and I spoke to Carlos about my situation, move from San Diego to Stockton, about a 500 mile move. We scheduled it but had to push it back and it wasn't a problem. The rate was the best compared to other movers with no hidden fees, price quote was what I paid. I cannot recommend them enough. Tiko made the drive and kept in communication with us and was on time for the pick up and drop off. If has to do it again, I would use them without a second though. Thank you so much!

Absolutely incredible service. Moving is a pain but with the right help it can be smooth and efficient. Carlos’ tram was super cordial, efficient and very accommodating. They disassembled and reassembled all the bed frames, couches, dining tables and patio furniture. And place them exactly where they needed to go at my new house. As well as countless boxes, weight racks, sauna, TVs etc. They were efficient yet delicate and protected my furniture so things arrived perfect. 5 star service and an incredible flat rate.

I was really happy with the moving process right up until the moving was done and I was looking at the damage done to my walls and doorways from the movers and the multiple pieces of furniture that were broken by the movers. The guys were super nice and I even tipped them each $40 because I hadn't yet seen all the damage done along the way. When I reached out to Carlos the very nice guy turned into cold and short and didn't even seem to care about the damage done. I wouldn't use or recommend this place again.

I justed wanted to thank the boys from Flat Bid Moving for taking care of my family a few weeks ago. They showed up early and ready to go. They handled the multiple narrow staircases like pros. I owe it to Flat Bid Moving for making our move easy and stress free. We even surprised them with a Harry Potter closet full of boxes towards the end of the job and they just laughed and smiled about it. If you are in need of relocating any time soon, look no further. These guys will take great care of you.

We just did a move last week with these guys and they really did a great job. There are in time with a crew of 7 people ready to go. We were moving into a brand new house with wood floors. Their team did not damage anything and the move was flawless. I would recommend these folks highly. For note, their pricing was in the middle of the pack and for our move (larger house, etc) it was competitive and worth more tha. Lower bids due to their care of your items.

I submitted an inquiry online and received a phone call from Carlos within 10 minutes. I really liked that all of his movers were employees and not contractors. Kobey & Tony arrived right on time and we’re nice, professional and very hard workers. We got all of the furniture from our apartment wrapped, moved and setup in the new place in 8 hours. Would have taken me 2-3 days on my own. Will recommend Flat Bid Moving to anyone in San Diego looking to move.

Holy freakin cow!! Carlos and his team we fast and amazing! They moved us out of our old home and into our new one in just a couple of hours. They even swapped our washer and dryer and brought the old ones back for us. We have used many movers and I can say I will never use another ever again! They are honest and have super fair prices.
