I’m really unhappy with the way my cat was casually treated here. She came in with what seemed like a slight inflammation in her lower right gum that had gotten bigger day by day. My partner and I made an appointment that was a week from our initial call. They looked at her and said it might be a tooth infection or abscess and scheduled a teeth cleaning about 3 WEEKS from our first appointment. The also prescribed her some antibiotics for the swelling. A week of antibiotics later and her jaw got worse so we took her back. They took x-rays NOT of her jaw but of her chest to see if she had any respiratory issues, (even though she showed no signs of respiratory issues). They took a cytology sample, (a $750 procedure only to determine if they should do a biopsy), and we waited most of the week to find out the results were inconclusive. Our cat’s conditioned worsened, and Forest Hill continued to offer temporary solutions, like feeding our cat exclusively wet food to make it easier on her swollen face, and to continue giving oral antibiotics, even though our cat's mouth was still bloody after the cytology surgery and in too much pain to accept any oral medication. One day our cat stopped eating because of the terrible state of her jaw, and I made the decision to call a cat hospital for a second opinion. The cat hospital booked her THAT DAY, and in a single glance, the new vet was able to determine it was cancer. They of course took x-rays of the inflamed area on our cats face, as well as a biopsy, and all confirmed It was an aggressive cancer that was inoperable, and the best course of action was euthanasia. We had to put her to sleep the following day. This all transpired within the 3-week time period that Forest Hill had scheduled for her teeth cleaning. I feel that Forest Hill did not do a good enough job in diagnosing the issue, like they strung us along, causing us to pay for tests that went nowhere, and not recognizing the immediacy and seriousness of our cats condition. I don’t think this facility is as knowledgable with cats as they are with dogs. If they didn’t know what was going on with her we would have appreciated it if they told us sooner to go elsewhere, so she could get the care she needed sooner. When we get any pets in the future we will not be taking them here, that is for sure.
Booked an appointment for our 10 week old puppy for his 2nd round of vaccines on top of just general maintenance. We were making an extra effort to come here from across town because of a family friend who works there, so it's already not easy for us. They're located on Eglinton near Allen so naturally getting there is a coin toss on what traffic is going to be like. We ended up knowing we could be late, because we were trapped between Eglinton construction and a fire emergency, so we called to let them know 20 mins in advance, to be told they might not be able to work with us but "you'll find out when you get here". We get there 10 mins late for our appointment but spent 10mins trying to get a hold of the secretary to let her know we were there. Only to then be put on hold for another 10 mins. Then to be told they had no time for us at all and that they took someone ahead of us but wouldn't have the time at all for our appointment that's apparently strictly set to 20mins and immovable. Our pup was feeling ill already and really could have used some attention, he had us both really concerned. Still we were left with not so much as a sorry or an ounce of sympathy. So we go back through the hell that is Eglinton. An hour and a half later they called us just to try and save some business and tell us they are just too busy to fit us in anywhere and told we were 30mins late (I have phone records that show against this) and that it was really our fault we couldn't get our pup looked at. These people don't really care about you or your pet. The "we're just too busy" excuse is just them trying to get away with over booking people to squeeze out as much money as possible. If they really cared they'd put in the effort to make sure they had time to work with their clients and do a thorough job. They don't, you're just part of the line to them. Couldn't have been more disappointed. This was the really gross type of treatment we wanted to make the extra effort to try and avoid. In short, don't bother, they're too busy for you.
I went to this clinic on a referral for an ophthalmologist for my Cat with corneal ulcers that didn't heal for a few months. Dr. Klys is extremely professional and helpful. He thoroughly tried to eliminate the different possibilities of why the ulcers weren't healing. Dr. Klys also made sure at every step of the way he was available for any questions, and I had tons that got answered promptly and thoroughly. My Cat ended up needing double eye surgery (diamond burr debridement). I was given an accurate quote of how much it'll cost which made me wish I had Cat insurance then but I digress. The surgery went extremely well, and Dr. Klys took no chances and sewed my Cat's eyes shut for 2 weeks for healing, and healed it did. I had tons of questions about pre-surgery prep, post-surgery care and even a "does this look right?" that got answered very promptly. At the end of every visit Dr Klys made sure to give detailed instructions of the medication regimen. At one point I was needing to give 4 different eye drops a few minutes apart a few times a day and I had no issues understanding what to do. My Cat's eyes are now perfectly healed with no lingering side effects or symptoms. My Cat was in very experienced hands during her time with Dr Klys. 10/10 will never come again because I don't need to anymore.
Well worth the wait during walk-in ophthalmology consults available 5 days a week. I highly recommend this practice for the following reasons: -Friendly, courteous front desk staff that greets clients as soon as they walk into the clinic. They confirm your reason for visit and ensure that you are aware about the wait time for walk-ins -Very clean waiting area despite the amount of foot traffic -Dr. Klys has wonderful bedside manner and is very knowledgeable in all things pet health. An excellent choice for any pet owner looking for a general practitioner or an ophthalmologist. Thank you, Dr. Klys for treating my many animals over the past 2 decades! Update on July 31, 2019: Thank you again FHAC and Dr. Klys for your excellent care of my precious Chihuahuas :) Update on September 21, 2021: Forest Hill AC and Dr. Klys continue to be my go-to for all things ophthalmology. As I work in the veterinary industry, I know firsthand how difficult getting an ophtho consultation anywhere can be at this point in time. When my favourite dog Patches presented with a deep eye ulcer, I reached out to FHAC because I knew how much Dr. Klys emphasizes the urgent nature of eye conditions. Thank you, FHAC Team and Dr. Klys!
My pet is on prescription diet - reached out during this pandemic asking if I can order food through them. We are new to the country and got stuck due to COVID19 and even though we had food for 1 months it was coming to an end. The person on phone said "no problem" we can order through them call next week and "just pick it up" and asked to send all records from previous vet. Did that. When called the following week, different person on phone said they can't order food for my pet, I was shocked. They didn't even have the decency to inform me this. Checked with the vet - said they are priorotizing existing patients. I begged that my furbabies will go hungry and I'll pay for exam fee too. Because they said I can order food through them - I didn't even reach out to any one else. It was my fault to trust the person on phone. I literally had 4 -5 days food left when they said this and deliveries were taking longer. I begged many times but they were not moved. Luckily I shared this story with VCA Westside and they promptly ordered my food, Phew! During this pandemic this behavior was very hurtful.
Absolutely amazing clinic! I honestly would recommend this to anyone I could. My Temon had a really critical condition and was told to have little time left. One of my family members recommended this place to me and their service is what let my Cat live 2 more years than he was supposed to. Dr. Ryan Franklin prescribed an exceptional diet for him and did everything in his power to make sure Temon lived as long as he could. Unfortunately, Temon recently passed. The clinics treatment towards us was the most kind human thing I’ve ever experienced. Once they heard of his passing they sent me an email, and with that came a post card where everyone at the clinic signed their names. However, that was not the end of it, they really went a step further and put in a donation in Temons name for the OVS pet trust which researches medications and ways to help other animals with the same condition he had. I will forever be grateful to them and their efforts and have recently brought them a new patient! I can rest assured knowing that Tsyhanko will be very well taken care of.
Last month I had to say goodbye to my sweet companion, my fur kiddo - It was very hard as one can imagine. I called several veterinary clinics before I found this diamond of a clinic. As soon as I called and explained our situation, the reception staff were compassionate, caring, kind and professional. When we arrived later that same day, we were greeted with the same kindness. I was emotional so they offered a private room right away, to fill out the paperwork. The Doctor soon entered the room, I only know him as Rick, he was simply the most caring, kind, gentle, professional Veterinarian Dr. I have ever come across. He was gentle with my ill little angel and gentle with me, assuring me that I was making the right call. I can't honestly say enough about this Dr. and the support staff. If you go anywhere else you're not going to get the amazing care we did that day. Thank you everyone who was there that day. I will never stop telling my friends and family about how awesome you all are. Thank you, Kimberley Terrell
We went to Dr.Klys as an emergency for our dog who was having floating laxation of her right eye. When we made the appointment the receptionist told us to give her nothing to drink or eat the morning of the visit giving us the impression that he would do surgery to release the pressure. When we saw Dr. klys he told us her eye site was probably gone, didn’t want to do surgery and changed the pressure meds and to stop the anti inflammatory drops .and to come back in a week. We drove from London to Toronto and the visit cost us over 500.00 dollars for a 15 minute consultation. On the second day after the visit she was in excruciating pain and we took her to our vet, who immediately gave her a dose and a half of the anti inflammatory by injection and put us back on her other meds and increased the Gabapentin for pain. The End Result was that our little dog went through two days of extreme pain.I was very disappointed that Dr.Klys didn’t recognize the pain our pup was experiencing and I have lost all confidence in him.
Had to take my 3 months old pup to emergency. I called ahead of time and appreciated the timely manner the call was handled. The staff were very nice, at least the ones I got to interact with. I honestly thought that I was going to have to wait a while (like at hospitals) for my pup to be checked but I called them as soon as I arrived and she was taken inside to be checked at immediately. I was told that because of covid only my pup would go in and asked if I was okay with that. Which I appreciate and waited in my car. I was also called by the Dr. And she explained what was going on with my pup, what medication was going to be applied and all the costs that came with it. I was given directions of what to look out for in case of an emergency before I took my pup home. The consultation price was a little expensive but it's understandable that this is an emergency clinic I love the communication the staff showed and that they were very nice and friendly. I would recommend.
Huge Thanks to Dr.Franklin - Lifesavers for My little Pom Pashmak! I wanted to take a moment to share my appreciation for the outstanding care and attention you provided to my Pomeranian, Pashmak. She was dealing with numerous health issues, such as pancreatitis and neck slipped disc, and Dr.Franklin’s dedication and expertise truly saved her life. From the moment Pashmak was under his care, he consistently monitored her health with diligence and precision. Dr.Franklin thorough approach and genuine concern for her well-being made all the difference in identifying and addressing her issues. He went above and beyond to ensure the swift recovery of Pashmak with each of her health issues. I strongly recommend Dr.Ryan Franklin to anyone seeking top-notch veterinary care for their pets. The level of service, compassion, and expertise that Dr.Franklin and his team provide in ForestHill Animal Hospital is simply unmatched. Thank you!
The staff at Forest Hill made a stressful experience, smooth and calming for us. I had found an orphaned barn kitten who had been attacked and had severe damage to it's eye, and had been recommended by another vet to go see an ophthalmologist. Although it was quite a long wait in the clinic (it's walk in style), it was worth it! Dr Klys was so kind and compassionate towards our situation. The kitten (now named Achilles) was only 5 or 6 weeks old at this point, a tiny little thing, so some treatments weren't an option. But knowing my situation, ( student) and that this kitten wasn't even from my own barn, Dr Klys gave me the best recommendations to help cut costs and get Achilles the best care possible. We are so thankful for his, and the entire Forest Hill staff, kindness and compassion. Achilles is still doing great and his surgery is next week! He's one strong, cuddly, playful little kitten ! Thank you Dr. Klys!
If I can add more stars, I would. Words cannot explain how grateful I am for this Animal clinic. My puppy had an eye issue from January 2021(5months old) up until I was referred here in October 2021(1year &2 months old). I went to several other vets in between to figure out what's wrong and they misdiagnosed my puppy, gave us several eye drops to "try" out when we kept saying it's not working. So much money and time lost.. However, Foresthill animal clinic was quick to diagnose her and scheduled her for a surgery in 2 days! We are so grateful for everyone at this clinic who helped our dog, Izzy. After months of suffering in pain and discomfort, she instantly got better after the surgery under their amazing care. Highly recommend!!!
The staff and Dr. Klyes is absolutely wonderful ❤️ He and his staff are very professional, kind, thoughtful, and gentle. I have been left to feel they care about your furry family member just as much as you do. Your family member is their priority. Our girl needed eye surgery to be able to see over 1 year ago. Dr. Klyes has made himself personally available to our family should we have any concerns. We have had follow-up appointments since that time. I wouldn't trust any other ophthalmologist with the care of our soon to be 15 Aussiedoodle, our Sweetie Bsbies. I only wish he had regular practice. Best eye doctor ( and there's only 4. I did my research) for pets in the GTA and Ontario! Thank you, Dr. Kyle's & Staff.
Excellent vet. I’ve seen all the docs here at one time or another and they are all great: they explain issues and options very well and truly care. I’ve never felt pressured to pay for unnecessary things or felt like I lacked the information I needed to make choices for my dog’s care. Plus, their prices are very reasonable. I’ve seen two other vets in Toronto and now live in New Brunswick. Everywhere else has been more expensive for treatment and medicine, despite the fact that the docs at Forest Hill have more experience between them than anywhere else I’ve been, and it’s midtown Toronto. If I ever come back to anywhere in the GTA I’d come right back to Forest Hill. It’s worth the drive and the lousy midtown traffic.
Dr. Klys and his team are amazing. They took Scooby in quickly during COVID and took great care of him during his surgery. They made sure to call and tell me he was doing great during surgery as they knew I was nervous for him. Scooby suffered from bilateral entropion and ectropion, he had difficulty seeing. He had his first surgery back in May of 2020 (not with Dr. Klys) and it got worse from there. Luckily Dr. Klys fixed him up and Scooby can see the world again! There are not enough words for the appreciation I have for Dr. Klys and his wonderful team at Forest Hill. I recommend them 100%. You can see the love and passion that his team has for all of our pets. Thank you from Scooby & I!!
Dr. Franklin and the rest of the professional team at Forest Hill Animal Clinic are incredibly amazing. I ended up here by chance one day when my previous vet cancelled my appointment. At the time my 2 yr old pug was experiencing difficulty breathing, so I called Forest Hill Animal Clinic and they were able to see us the same day. I was so impressed with both the quality of care and personable interactions that my pet has been a patient here ever since. We've been seen by multiple vets here at this clinic and all of them are wonderful. Do not hesitate if you are considering taking your pet here, they will be in very, very good hands!!
A friend had recommended this clinic to us and we went very early in the morning as we were told line ups for a walk in get quite long. We met with Dr. Klys and immediately we understood why this clinic has such high reviews. You could tell he cared a lot about our pup and was very concerned with her well being. He was also very knowledgeable and able to clearly explain the situation to us. Even though Dr. Klys is not our regular care provider, he still gave us his card and told us we could contact him any time with questions. While most vets I have met have been excellent, I'd say that Dr. Klys is still a head above the rest.
I will echo the experiences of others here - I was referred to the clinic by my local vet out in Scarborough. My dog, a Boston Terrier, had glaucoma and it was pretty bad. He also has cataracts. Both Doctors Klys and Goldstein were wonderful and, unlike some other vets, actually spent the time to explain what was available, how this can be treated and their concern for my dog. At the end of it all, I got the impression that they really do care for each and every dog that walks into their clinic. Both of these doctors are wonderful with their patients, with the owners and with their staff. They also saved my Boston's eye!! :)
I've been going here for some time with my cat, and have had nothing but the best experiences. My cat is terrified of vets, and prior to moving to this clinic, I had begun to hate vet visits too. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable, caring, skilled in behavior management, and just all-around lovely towards owners and animals alike. Today, I had to switch clinicians due to a scheduling issue, and Dr. Ross was able to easily assess next steps as well as make my (somewhat traumatized) cat comfortable. This is no easy feat - thank you Dr. Ross and Forest Hill Animal Clinic!!!
This clinic has been AMAZING for me and my pup. They have fantastic staff and you can tell they really care about the animals that come in. I've been especially impressed that in the middle of this whole covid-19 mess, they still managed to get me the tick meds I needed, despite only being open for emergencies. We've gone for everything from basic check ups, to allergy issues and even a broken tooth and the experience has been consistently positive. Thank you Forest Hill Animal Clinic for everything you do! Special thanks to our fav doc, Ryan and vet techs Caitlin and Moon!
Our vet referred Charlie here to address his specific eye issues. Charlie had his eye graft surgery in 2014 with Dr. Klys, whom practically saved his eye as a result. We are incredibly thankful for his experience. We continue to come for checkups and to address any other eye related issues. Dr. Klys is very experienced and knowledgable. He has incredible patience and shows lots of love for any animal he sees. We feel very safe coming to this facility for Charlie's eye issues and know we are in good hands to manage whatever comes up. I recommend this facility to anyone.
Our cat had a problematic eye right from when we brought him home. It was fairly clear to us that he would have to have his eye removed, even without seeing a vet. We tried a veterinary clinic near our home and were disappointed with high fees and vague advice. When we brought our kitten to Forest Hill Animal Clinic we were given straight talk about the problem and getting the eye removed. The prices were high but we felt we could trust them much more than our local vet. The surgery was a success and our kitten is healthy and happy. Thank goodness.
Our Family member( Dog) has been seeing Dr Ryan for many years. We recently followed him here from our previous clinic. Dr Ryan is an amazing person and a wonderful, caring, compassionate and professional Vet. He takes the time to make you understand your pets current medical condition. Knowing your Family Pet is in good hands medically certainly makes the health care process so much more stress free. Our Family highly recommends you visit Dr Ryan and his new Team at Forest Hill for all your pets healthcare needs. Thanks Dr Ryan!
I'm so happy with the service and care Dr. Franklin provides my cat! He truly takes the time to explain his health to me and the next step for possible treatment. My cat recently had dental surgery with him. Dr Franklin kept me updated and provided care like it was his own pet. The staff was helpful and provide informative post op surgery instructions. I can't thank and recommend Dr. Franklin and the staff enough. Absolutely remarkable service. THANK YOU FOREST HILL ANIMAL CLINIC!
Dr. Klys is amazing! He will tell you the best option for your fur baby instead of suggesting to surgrey immediately without trying other resolutions. After eye drops and eye vitamins for 3 months, my baby's cataract is starting to thin out!. Dr. Klys loves the animal genuinely. Thanks you Dr. Klys that my Peach doesn't need to go through the painful surgery and saved us thousands of dollars! Also want to mention the girls at the were very friendly and helpful!
I took my 5 year old Belgian Malinois to Dr. Klys and the team at Forest Hill for an ophthalmology appointment. Everyone was fantastic to deal with. Dr. Klys was excellent and able to give us information on what was going on as well as what to look for in the future. He gave us our options and explained the costs associated as well as what those options will do. I couldn’t recommend this clinic more, especially with experience at other ophthalmology clinics.
We live 2.5 hours away but needed ophthalmology care for our pup because the waitlist for the Waterloo eye clinic was so long. The reception staff and veterinarian were top notch to deal with, so helpful and professional. We ended up not needing to travel the 2.5 hours bc a cancellation spot opened up for us in Waterloo, but I would have had no qualms in driving to Toronto to receive care from this clinic based on the conversation with Dr. Klys (sp?) alone.
Amazing service, As we have taken our dog who has no tear ducks to other veterinarians But have brought our dog for a second opinion, Even though he also found our dog had no Tear ducks. But was able to give shorty medicine that actually works. Shorty now I can see and no longer sees shadows and barks at anything that moves. Kind and well informed, wonderful veterimarian. Very reasonable price and able to give shorty medicine that actually works.
Fantastic vet clinic. Dr. Wong and Dr. Ross are the vets for my cat and dog. Both are patient and caring with animals. They are also very knowledgable and up to date on veterinary medicine and presented different solutions for how to help with my pets medical care. I can get nervous when other people handle my dog because he's a rescue and gets really scared, but I 100% trust this clinic with his care. They're just wonderful, kind, people over there!
My cat has been seeing Dr. Goldstein and Dr. Klys for for 5 years now. They are amazing with him and the prices are very reasonable for midtown Toronto. They genuinely care for my cat and Dr. Goldstein has even given me his personal cellphone in case I have after hour eye emergencies. Tip: if your appointment is around rush hour, give yourself extra time as it takes a while to get down the residential street where their parking lot is located.
If you need eye care for your dog, I doubt there is anywhere better in Toronto. Yes, the lack of appointments (and going to their walk-on) is annoying, but as Dr. Klyes once said to me "you can't make people wait on eye issues, they need help right away." My 1-yr old #bostonterrier has distichia - where eyelashes grow under his eyelids and scratch his eyes and the care from Dr. Klyes has made his entire life more comfortable and enjoyable. ♡
Personally, I think this clinic is great. Appts have always been within a day or two of making the call, and often the same day. I’ve never felt gouged by pricing - quite the opposite. Animal care is pricey, but I feel like the vets there know that and give options, or even waive fees. I haven’t felt our vet (Dr Franklin) be alarmist or overly zealous to order tests/meds at all with our cat, which is awesome. I’d recommend FHAC easily.
Dr Richard is good people. Don't be afraid to ask him to slow down, brilliant man, lots of info but he tends to give it to you fast. If you are coming for the "clinic hours" you better be there right when they open at 8am; and even at that you won't leave before 10am. Also, be aware that rent is high in Forest Hill, and your bill will reflect that. But for quality care from a knowledgeable staff, it just may be worth it.
I was referred here by my vet, and every single staff member has been VERY kind and helpful in seeing that my puppy received the utmost care. I could not be happier with the results of my puppy's surgery, we could not be more thankful!!! Dr. Goldstein & Dr. Klys were amazing pre and post surgery, they are both very kind and very informative and I would recommend anyone to them, it was completely worth every penny.
This place is top notch for animal Care. They do their best to make sure both the pet and owner are comfortable. I bring my cats to Dr Klys for an eye condition they both have and he always treats them with respect and gentleness. If I had stayed with the other specialist, at least one cat would have had his eye removed "to be safe". Today everyone is healthy, happy and have all the eyes they were born with.
Really helpful front desk staff both when I called and when I went in. I've had my cat Lola in a few times with Dr. Wong for various problems and each time she was very helpful explaining what was going on and/or needed to be done as well as treatment options and cost. I would recommend booking an appointment if possible because it can get really busy with walk-ins some days and the wait could be over an hour.
1 week Before spray went to for examination, she said "your dog need vaccine today , otherwise we can not do spray next Monday" "if your dog get vaccine today you need to wait 2 weeks for spray" I really don't understand what she saying. We all set up 2 month before, confirmed date and give her all detail too! my dog already vaccinated in MAY!! she try to do same vaccine again. I am not going there anymore.
I have been taking my pet here since 3 years when he developed his eye condition and needed surgery. I was recommended by another doctor of mine who I was seeing for my pet. This clinic has amazing doctors and rest of the teams, excellent service. I can fully trust this team over here. Thank you for your great services ladies over the phone are exceptionally good with taking care of your concerns.
We are so thankful to have Forest Hill Animal Clinic! Dr. Ryan is such an attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable vet. We really appreciate how willing he is to answer any questions we've had and wonderful he is with our pup! Any of the staff we have spoken to have been so kind and warm; it is clear how much this clinic cares for the animals they see. We know our dog is in such good hands with them!
The best veterinarian in town! I started going here when I first moved to Toronto, during covid when they were not letting owners in! However, they’re back and it’s really nice to be able to interact with the veterinarian and the assisting staff. They’re always so postive and helpful! They’re very responsive and prompt. If only healthcare for humans was that easy as well! :/ Highly recommend! :)
I took my cats noodles and amnesia there as I recently moved to the area and needed a closer vet! The cats are normally very scared of going to the vet but I am surprised how pleasant their visit was! Dr. Reid was so so so good with them and I really appreciate his expertise! He even let my cat Noodles take his chair lol he gave them treats so they didn’t even realize they were being vaccinated
Dr. Klys is incredible. Great animal clinic, wonderful and warm experience from start to finish. Appreciate Dr. Klys taking time to go over the diagnosis of my 11 year old American cocker spaniel dog clearly and treatment options. Highly recommended. The BEST eye doctor hands down in Toronto. He did an excellent job with my dog's glaucoma surgery and she recovered very quickly despite her age.
I brought my dog Apollo in today. We got lost and ran late and they still saw him! The Dr was so nice And managed to diagnose Apollo and set his medicine aside. He even called me after they closed to follow up. I was having a bad day prior to this and they brightened my day. I know it’s not easy during COVID with all the extra restrictions and barriers, but I am so happy they are my vet !
I chose this office for convenience. Their service is akin to a live meat treatment centre. Charged me for services and did not provide proper advice for the results to materialize. When confronted, they made no effort to be accountable. They wasted my money but more importantly, my pet's health is very important to me and for that reason, I am taking him elsewhere for medical services.
Brought my dog this morning to see Dr. Klys and what a pleasant experience! Everyone who I interacted with was fantastic! The clinic staff is polite and caring with the animals, and Dr. Klys was very attentive. The service was quick, but I didn't feel rushed in any way. All my questions were answered and all my concerns were taken into consideration. I absolutely recommend this clinic!
Over the last 25 years I have taken multiple of my pets to Forest Hill. They have always been a pleasure to deal with. Fair pricing, offering walk in services and even an emergency hospital located (and affiliated) next door. Whether it has been for eye surgery on my cat, tonsillectomy on my dog, or general veterinarian care, Forest Hill is top notch! Please don’t ever change !
I was very shocked that will no longer be provided service for my Dog Brownie due to an unpaid invoice. I have been with this clinic for almost 11 years with now my second dog. Even after I messaged to say I will pay my invoice they still refuse service. Sad. Np your not the only vet clinic. All the reviews are right it’s all about the money. You don’t care about our pets.
Dr Klys has been a God sent to our cat. His sincere, compassionate. patience, knowledge along with patient focused nature generates calm, trust and security. I know my mother's cat is in capable hands. The staff too must be acknowledged for their kind and gentle approach always welcoming. Parking is a pain...but welcome to TO...to be expected.
Brought my Murphy into Foresthill for his eye issues, he's been having since July. We met with Dr Klys and he is the sweetest man I have ever met. He treated Murphy so gently and kindly that murph never flinched. We have hopefully avoided surgery but time will tell. Thank you Dr Klys and Foresthill you were all wonderful. Angie
This clinic was highly recommended to me by a good friend, they have been amazing over the last year with my pup. Dr Ross is the best and given we as pet owners can’t go in, they make you feel so comfortable and confident in handing over your fur babies. It is always a good sign when your dog is excited to go to the doctor!
We brought our dog because he was having an eye issue. The Dr. Kly was just amazing! So caring and kind! He made sure our pet was being taken care of. He layer out all the possible option for our pet. He explained every procedure and steps that he was taking to help us. We are really thankful that we were helped by Dr.Kly!
My Dogue de Bordeaux needed to have corrective surgery for entropion and I was very impressed by the professional and friendly service (as much as one can anyway during COVID). Dr. Klys did an amazing job on her eyes and I hope once she's healed she won't have any more troubles. Wonder if he can do a human eyelift... LOL
my miss sadie loves dr franklin and i find he is the best. when i needed him when she was sick he was there for me. i have good words for him he cares about animals and if my pom loves him that is all that matters. was referred to him by another parent and cant thank her enough. went to another vet before waste of time
Got recommended to go to Dr.Klys and he is amazing. You can tell he is very caring and loves his job. He will answer all your questions and provides amazing resources. Would recommend him to anyone, and we can tell our dog was well taken care off. Don’t hesitate to go to him! Thank you for your amazing care!
Dr. Ross takes excellent care of our sweet puppy. We feel very fortunate to have found her. The staff at Forest Hill Animal Clinic are friendly, warm and courteous. The clinic itself is clean and modern and there is an E.R. located right next door where you pet can be referred for medical tests, if need be.
I have owned dogs for the last20 yrs. The best vet i have been to,by far.The care and knowledge base is exemplary. They dont talk down to you and will try to cut your cost without compromising the quality of care and dedication.Even if it out of uour way,you should bring your pets here. Awesome place!!!
Brought my dog here as an emergency after hours and they charged me $400 for them to just stick a thermometer in her butt. They didn't clean the wound or dress it, no pain medication. Just theft from your pocket with no help. Don't bring your fur baby here for an emergency after hours!
Thank you to Dr. Klys and the entire team! Highly recommend. It was a breeze booking my pup's ophthalmology referral consult- the support staff were kind, accommodating and easy to communicate with. Dr. Klys was thorough, professional and great with my guy. Overall great experience.
I don’t know the name of the person we got but we just want to say thank you! We were scared our pet would be scared going to a vet for the first time, but he came out happy as a clam! We had a lovely experience and your help/advice was greatly appreciated. See you next month :)
Always really impressed with all staff members at the FHAC. Nothing is ever too much trouble & they really go out of their way for you. Even after moving out of the area, I still make the drive to Forest Hill, as I know my Mini Schnauzer will be looked after well. Thanks guys!
This is the place to go if you want quality care for your pet. As our dog is recovering from eye surgery, we know we can depend on Dr. Klys to make sure the healing process is going well. Everyone has been professional, patient, and reassuring. We're so very grateful. Natalie
They booked me an appointment on a Holiday. Weird, but sure enough they called me and confirmed the date a few days later for my August 1st morning appointment. I showed up this morning and the clinic was closed. Very disappointed. What a waste of time and money …
This is an amazing place All of the vets here are so great with animals - very patient and understanding with owners and incredibly kind This clinic helped my dog through many eye issues - and were always willing to fit her into their day! Highly recommended clinic
We have had an amazing experience at Forest Hill. We are still working through our dogs eye issue, but Dr. Klys has been extremely helpful, patient and responsive throughout this entire process. If you want a vet that truly cares about your pet, this is the place!
Quality of care is exceptional. All staff take an interest into your concerns no matter how small or how big they may be. It really is a team effort. They listen to your concerns and go above and beyond to come up with a solution to best care for your Pets needs.
Came to see an eye specialist Dr. Klys for first appointment and had a lovely experience while he assessed my dog's eye. Very professional and kind to my dog and myself. The staff at front desk were just exceptional. I was taken aback by their kindness and care.
These people really know animals here and have a passion for it. Small, but well staffed, clean, and modern equipment. Parking is tight, it's a little pricey to, but most think their pets are priceless, so there you go...a successful business is born …
Eye specialist for your pet. In high demand, booking 5-6 weeks in advance. Be prepared for 2+ hr waits for drop ins but dr. Klys is very good. Perhaps could use a longer follow up period after the first 2 three month follow ups but depends on the patient
My last visit very happy, You can now walk with your dog into the clinic Good service but at this moment very busy area to drive and park. My suggestion is that you do not drive to this location, but rather walk and park away from the vet clinic. …
Great clinic! Dr Wong and the staff are so kind and knowledgeable. They are reasonable with their treatment plans, and will do their best to try to accommodate you on short notice. I trust them with my pets care and would recommend them to others.
Great care and unbelievable service. Came here a while ago when my fluffy friend got sick and was taken care of promptly and professionally. Was greeted and helped out front by a receptionist named Isabelle who was incredibly patient and friendly.
Dr Klys has such a warm and patient manner with both human and animal clients. He performed an enucleation on our dog years ago, it healed over beautifully and check ups have been great ever since. The front desk and techs have also been lovely.
Dr. Wong provides affectionate routine care for our cat and keeps visits short and efficient. The clinic has very effective Covid-19 precautions, so you drop your pet and wait in a parking space, if you're driving. We really like going here.
These doctors and technicians are truly the best. They performed two graphs on my dog Bears eyes 10yrs ago and again one this week. They are very caring and helpful. A special thx to Dr Klys without them I would not have my Bear! …
Dr. Klys is an incredible veterinarian. He gives you his full attention, empathy and is very thorough. We would recommend Dr. Klys to anyone! We have had to wait for many hours during his walk in appointment, each hour well worth the wait.
Took our rabbit, Bighead to see Dr Klys, who is an ophthalmologist at the clinic. He explained very clearly the situation with Bighead's eye and prescribed medications to treat the pressure and redness. Took him in again for an eye ulcer.
Thanks to Drs. Richard Klys and Lisa Wong for the care that they have given to my cats, Chloe and Chester. Dr. Klys was always available should there have been a problem and also to recommend extra care if necessary especially in the case
Dr. Ryan Franklin is a wonderful veterinarian. My experience with FHAC includes having Dr. Franklin patiently care for my dogs especially with my more difficult dogs. Dr. Caroline Ross is awesome - I love her so much she is wonderful too.
All the staff, techs and vets are so friendly and kind. I enjoy that they take the time to explain things everytime we have been in and my dog loves going there - he always receives an excited welcome from them. Prices are very fair also.
I got a call from my wife that our cat was stung by a wasp. Panicking a bit I decided to go into the clinic to see if I could get some advice on what I should do at the moment. The lady at the the counter asked me if I wanted to make an
It's been 3 years since Dr. Klys removed cataract from one of my dogs eyes and we couldn't be happier with the work he did. He's very good at explaining and walking you through every process. It's expensive but you get what you pay for.
The staff here are wonderful and genuinely care about the animals. Communication is really clear and they always follow up during bigger procedures to make sure everything is okay. We see Dr. Franklin and he's the best vet in the city!
The only reason I’m giving it 4 and not 5 stars is because of the customer service. If the vet was different, I would give it zero. The vet is however amazing, like truly the best ophthalmologist around. So caring and diligent, he’s
Dr Klys and the staff at Forest Hills took care of my sweet Remy after a horrible accident. He lost an eye, but he is alive and recovering. Dr Klys was incredibly kind and gentle with all of us. I will forever be grateful to him.
Dr. KLYS is phenomenal. He takes the time to explain exactly what is happening to my fur baby Coco, he answered every question I had regarding options to make her better and he truly does care about animals. He is a wonderful
Great reliable vets. I left my old clinic in Vaughan because i realized they were diagnosing fake illnesses for expensive treatments. When i came here it was night and day! So thrilled to find a honest vet for my dog.
Dr. Klys is wonderful and truly cares for animals. He gave us valuable information to support our dog's diagnosis both at the appointment and over email. The staff are friendly and polite. There was no wait time.
Amazing vet. They truly care for your pet and even call several times to follow up on how your pet is doing. Price is very fair!! Switched all of my family animals to here and have had only great experience.
The doctors and staff are incredible here. Great, skilled professionals that are among some of the nicest people I've met. My Jack Russell can now see again and I owe his renewed happiness to everyone here.
The very best vet clinic in the city I have used. They have a great team working there. Dr. Franklin was wonderful to our 3 senior cats and now with our young puppy. Very compassionate. I highly recommend.
The vets were both incredibly friendly and accommodating. My dog had an ulcer in her eye and with their specialized knowledge it began to improve right away. It is very clear that they love their job.
Everyone here is so fantastic! The front desk staff are super friendly, and Dr. Franklin is awesome. I trust this team with the health of both of our pets, and am so grateful that they're in the area.
My first appointment was today and such nice staff. Dr. Franklin is absolutely AMAZING!!!! He is so caring and kind and so brilliant. Was hard to switch after 20 years bur so happy with my decision.
Highly recommend! Professional, compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, trust worthy. I recently relocated to the Durham region and changing vets simply isn't even an option - they're that amazing.
The staff were all so friendly from the moment I called to make an appointment. Very patient when my scared pup wouldn't get on the scale. Dr. Ross is the loveliest, kindest, most patient person.
Had a very positive experience with my puppy’s visit. Dr Reid is really amazing- friendly & patient and explains everything in great details. Front desk staff is nice too. Highly recommended.
Was referred by my vet to see dr.klys for my kittens eyes and he is fantastic ! So informative and so kind and pleasant made me feel relaxed as well as my kitten amazing doctor and very nice
Love all the Vets here, our puppy always enjoys going and loves all the staff. They take the best care of our fur baby and always make time to see him. Very great fuel to have them!!!
Wonderful staff, they were willing to squeeze our dog in even though we did not have an appointment. She was assessed and prescribed a course of treatment and now she is on the mend.
Dr. Ross is a complete gem of a person and a talented and empathetic vet. Moon does an incredible job with trimming claws. Happy with their continued COVID safety protocols as well.
