We did not have a great experience with my Father’s funeral. The funeral was directed by someone else rather than the person we originally planned with which may have contributed to some of the issues. When we arrived we were asked to sign in, I shared I was immediate family and they told me where to go as we entered a different door then when we had planned the service. We were not told to organize our family before walking into the service so families were separated. We were sat and then asked to rise for those officiating. We were not shown how small the crematorium room was or that the casket lift was manual not automatic, which made for a packed and awkward cremation. In addition to this, the funeral home released some of our service flowers to those who attended the funeral without our knowledge or permission. When my mother spoke with the person we planned the funeral with, she shared her concern about the family disorganization when walking into the service. They had responded with an implication that due to our family being of mixed ethnicity, it is okay for the men and women to be separated as per the culture. We do not accept that generalized statement nor accept it as an apology. The service and services provided were okay, however given the amount that was charged for this service, we feel as though there was major rom for improvements.

Fosters and specifically Teresa Rand (of Foster's) were incredible. I sadly lost my 9 year old daughter which was unimaginably painful. My daughter's ceremony and burial was absolutely beautiful and perfect and I am not sure how it all came together in 5 days. I continue to have people reaching out to tell me how beautiful and meaningful the service was to them (all video streamed). I had a vision of what I wanted, but would not be able to put it together myself- it was all done by them. Anything that Teresa could do to take the weight off my shoulders, she did, which allowed me to focus on my precious daughter. They have a design team that built her stunning service card (that I have mailed to friends/family) and the video tribute and all the ceremony display pictures. I have tears writing this, thank you so much Teresa for your kindness, compassion and heart!! I will never forget you, ❤️Catherine

July 2023 review Mom’s funeral When Mom passed away, we knew we had to have Brent take care of her and her funeral arrangements (like what he did for Dad’s funeral in 2018). The experience with Fosters was excellent. The staff were extremely compassionate, understanding and helpful. There was no pressure and the team listened to what we were looking to do. The service was wonderful and the clergy for the service was a perfect fit. Appreciated the recommendation of Ray and felt very comfortable with our sit down and introducing our dad to her. We felt during the service that she actually knew our dad. The flowers were exactly as selected and the catered food was excellent. The newly renovated reception room was beautiful and many of our family and friends commented on the warmth, size and functionality of the room. The team at Foster's Garden Chapel we able to help us plan and execute an Asian-style funeral for our departed Grandmother. Not only were they knowledgeable of many of the associated traditions that come up, they are also able to help with providing many of the resources for those activities. Furthermore we had a few unique requests that came up for the Funeral itself, and the Fosters' team were able to accommodate for it as well, never refusing any suggestion, and providing alternatives if it didn't seem possible to execute exactly as described. For the level of professionalism and flexibility I experienced, I would definitely recommend Foster's Garden Chapel Funeral Home & Crematorium to other friends, as well as going back to them if the situation ever arises again.

The patience and empathy afforded to me during this ordeal was exceptional. The staff always replied immediately to any questions I had for them and never pressured me during the process. Jessy and the whole team at Foster's was exceptional. After our family member's passing, my father mentioned that they had heard that Foster's was great and was quite close to the cemetery we planned to use. I did a quick google search and saw the great reviews. Tthe team at Foster's really catered to our needs. There were a lot of rituals and customs around funerals that were addressed carefully and with empathy. I peppered Jessy with 5 emails a day about new details that came up. She was exceptional. I cannot say enough about the team at Foster's. I would go again.

Our funeral director Trudy was great and made the whole process simple during a very difficult time in our lives. She is able to help us take the flowers in on Sunday and place them nicely on the vase for Monday. Flowers still fresh and was nicely decorated for the viewing. Everything is done professional, program run down, ceremony, and burial was beautiful and peaceful. Sometime we show up unexpected but there is always someone to greeted us and meet our needs. Foster's Garden Chapel made dealing with funeral arrangements as seamless as possible during the extremely difficult time of losing a loved one. We felt sincerely cared about from our first appointment at Foster's. Teresa was informative but never pushy about services offered. Be careful in reviewing your service folder or anything in print (web obit etc) as a number of errors were made that needed to be corrected. The facility is warm and comforting.

Our Director, Brent was in close contact with me every step of the way, thus resolving any issues immediately. One issue was where the coffin had to be changed due to a size difference.
