Premium price for sub average results. Nice if you like pretty lights. I went through during their grand opening promotion and was given a $15.00 car wash for free. The free vacuum at the end was the best part. There are vacuums on both sides of every vehicle and have great suction. The car wash itself was ok but failed to wash the dirt off on the back of my car. It looked like it just needed one more rinse to get all the dirt off. I had dirty water on the rear window. I have a hatchback. The vehicle was not that dirty to start with and I keep it in the garage. Beware employees at this location. The car wash is one that guides your car through in neutral. The car in front of me stepped on his brakes and stopped which causes issues. The employee had me stop then yelled at me for not stopping fast enough. He then told me to reverse. I did so but my car wouldn't reverse over the track guide that pushes your car without giving it some gas. He literally walked up to my window and started screaming at me to reverse my car and kept yelling, "I Said Put It In REVERSE!!". Not sure if he just needed a break or if people had been stopping inside the wash all day and he was about to quit.

Have used the Monthly Diamond plan for a number of years on 2 vehicles. An aggressive leaf blower got grass on the car so I thought I would just stop and get it washed. As I pulled in I asked Dalton the attendant if he could use the rinse sprayer on the front beforehand and was told this would be a $ 3.00 additional charge and he asked if I had a credit card to put it on. I was appalled, told him I would rinse it myself the next time and refused to pay the additional. Once done, I went into the office and had my Diamond wash plan downgraded to the cheapest they have mainly because I do like the vacuums and the trash cans. Our second vehicle no longer leaves the garage much so we will cancel the plan for that one and pay as we go or do it ourselves. Not sure if this post is worth it as I notice the Management doesn't respond to posts, which should be a wake up call. Management if you are reading this it was at 5:26PM 9/12/2023 and I think Dalton (employee number 70689 ) might do better on the trash cans than in customer service. Maybe.

I used the Express car wash today it was a horrible experience that happened to my Dodge truck on of the side spinners pulled the entire antenna from the trucks side panel leaving a hole in the side panel. The antenna got caught up in the spinner and started smacking the side of the truck. It came around to the passenger cab rear window and shattered it to pieces where my twelve year old daughter was sitting in the back of the truck. My thirteen year old was sitting in the front startled by the banging of the antenna heavy base that was pulled from the body of my truck. Praise God that base didn't smash the side glass and injury my daughters that at had just pick up from early release we'd school. There was scratches all down my passenger side. The manager said he heard the banging "but I don't know what it is". You can wait for the company to contact you. No, I don't trust them to make me whole in repairing my vehicle. So, I'm going through my insurance company "boy what a day"

I canceled and never received the money refund for the the month, just charged, TWICE. So please refund me that past two months. I understand that your hiring Publix employees and you charge more than the $40 that I already put monthly for just to get the bugs off my car? I asked for the blonde wanna be dancer to please get the bugs off the windshield to have another kid give me horrible information on why they can’t do that. I have to pay for that??? I beg your pardon? I was paying $40 a month and that’s the service. Anyways there’s a new car wash on San Jose that’s so much better!!! There’s another one on San Jose that’s by Wendy’s. The gate is like fast food, just take your money and horrible service. Vacuums don’t do the job nor dose the “special” in the tunnel. Abused machine that needs replacements already but won’t do it because they can get away with it. The stayers are not all working properly. Fix your business! I mean cheap ppl and cheap cars keep this place going lol

I used to love this location before. Not so much now. The last 2 times I have been here they used very little soap. The time I came last week no soap came out at all. I informed the employee about it. He offered to run it through again after fixing it. I advised just wanted to let them know. I thought maybe this is a company policy now but the Emerson St location has plenty of soap. I went this morning and very little soap again at old St Augustine location. Also the side dryers are aimed too direct on the car causing my doors to pop and not blowing the water towards the back of the car. I have suggested they angle them some but basically told to mind my business. The Emerson St location again has theirs aimed at a better angle. I know that both locations have plenty of business and the Old St Augustine location just won't take any suggestions to make their wash better. No matter what it beats washing my car myself. Rant over.

I have had a membership with Gate for several months and this morning I canceled it. Although I really liked the performance of the drive through, its ability to dry my truck is extremely poor. I dealt with having to dry it off completely before I vacuumed the interior for a long time. Last week I was in a hurry so I just ran it through the tunnel. All of my chrome, tailgate, top and rear window were spotted from water. Wasted that money. Now, for some reason, Gate decided to put a speed bump at the entrance to the tunnel. It is difficult to get over at the slow speed needed to keep from hitting the car in front of you. They rush the cars through 2' apart and this speed bump is dangerous and un-necessary. I'll try some other car wash. There are a lot of them around. The speed bump was the final straw with this location.

I just came down from visiting family in NY do I was trying to wash the salt off of my car. I paid for the diamond wash which was supposedly a good one. I went through and where my rear license plate is, the car was clearly completely untouched. Additionally, the driver side door and several of the windows did not look clean at all. I went in and informed them and they agreed that it was bad and let me go through again. Same result. My car did not get clean to my liking at all and I wouldn’t have spent more than $5 on the quality that I got and most certainly not $15.

Got the full package ($28). Before I went in the kid at the beginning started spaying all this foam stuff all over my hood and drivers side of the car. Went through, used the vacuum and came home. Upon inspection I saw the drivers side of the car and the hood looked acceptable. The passenger side and the rear looks like it was never washed. This is the 3rd time I have used them. The 1st 2 experiences I got the less expensive wash and chalked up the bad job it that. I figured I would give them another try and got the expensive wash and still bad.

Don’t go here, I run my car through twice and was still very dirty. Also the dryers barely work so I have a bunch of water spots all over my car now. Edit 2 months later: have given this car wash two additional chances but it leaves very faint blue streak marks all over my white car. I’m sure other people don’t notice because their vehicle is not white. They are not that easy to see but it’s just the fact I pay $18 per wash just to have to wipe off all the blue streaks. Disappointing I can’t seem to find a single good car wash around here

Drove in for my first wash at the franchise .. $15.. The attendant did not pre-bug wash or pre prep / rinse our vehicle.. Then pull out of the wash yo find not only was the car and wheels still dirty.. but there is absolutely not towels, window and spot cleanser.. no brushes and no tire fessing touch up, no nothing.. When I inquired the attendant, child had a piss, poor attitude, and could care less. The worst self service car wash I have ever used. You must come prepared and bring all your own supplies to this rip off of a car wash ..

Pay for bug prep ($3 + dollars) but did get the service. I did not have my reading glasses with me so I couldn’t check the receipt on the spot. I call and spoke to an associate name Ryan who went on to explain what could have happened but did not give any solutions. This has happened to me twice in that same location so I am pretty sure I am not the first customer who has experience this issue. Make sure to check your receipts while you’re in the premises. I won’t be coming back to this place. Not customer service friendly at all.

I can say I am honestly hooked on this place. I used to do all my own car washes but decided to say heck with it and get it done with the service this time. It's a much more comprehensive wash than you get in a lot of other locations and I like the soft cloth bristles versus any type of plastic coat. Seems to be much gentler on my finish and the car is new so don't want to take chances. The ceramic Shield wash really puts a wicked shine on your car! I might try out the subscription service soon.

Fantastic service from start to end. First you drive around the building and enter the exterior wash. The staff was very attentive and courteous. Quick and easy transaction. You can tell the brushes are softer than most other places, so no worry of scratches... and there are a ton more of them so they get your car cleaner than most. After the wash, we were directed to pull into one of the inner detailing bays.

My truck was left with a lot of dirt. I went into the office to see if they would fix it and they told me no, that these machines are not professional washes that only last 3 minutes, if I wanted to go where they would wash it by hand so that it looks good. and I thought that this franchise was professional and it turns out that it was not. I do not recommend it to wash your car.

The attendants were very friendly when I drove up. Even though there was a line of cars, the pace went very fast. The attendants moved traffic at a great pace. The vacuums are free when you get a car wash, with a time limit of 15 minutes to wipe down or vacuum your car. The vacuums are very powerful. I almost sucked up a wrench in my trunk. There is even a mat cleaner.

Great car wash! I’d recommend going here if you’re looking for a good car wash in Jacksonville. It did a great job cleaning my car and it was only 5 bucks (I got the cheapest option). It came with a free car vacuuming which cleaned my car real good. The only issue I had was some of the vacuums weren’t working good and didn’t have much suction.

Very poor experience. The buff and shine never touched my car because the air to dry the car blew the bristles off the car. The suction of the vacuum is very very weak. Couldn’t pick up the smallest of items from my carpet. Avoid the additions. This car wash is only good for the cheapest 5 dollar option

Scanner for decal ineffective since it was changed on my car a month ago. Assistance called for with wait or auto repositioning required. Auto not cleaned well. Went through twice for tires. Not really used enough to get monies worth. Will probably seek an alternative car care service soon.

I went to a basic car wash last week and spent $10 and it was able to remove the blue marker topic I had on my back window. I go to this place spend $15 (mind you a step up from basic) and it barely removed another blue marker topic I had displayed in the back window. Waste of money

Great automated car wash at a reasonable price - the monthly plan is less expensive & way better than paying for just 2 washing per month. One thing that could be better would be having towels or clothes, and window wash, available for interior cleaning and use.

I bought the membership and I wash my car twice a week. It is fast, it has excellent vacuums and the price of the monthly membership is paid with 2 car washes. Also I can use the Gate car washes everywhere. I used one in Boca Ratón and 3 here in Jacksonville.

This was my first time here. Got my car washed, used the vacuums to clean inside my car and used the products there to clean my car mats. Prices were good for the services I received. I like that it is convenient to where I live. Will go back there soon.

Very good and quick car wash. Car came out looking good and the vacuums there are fine. They have monthly plan options for those needing lots of car washes. I do wish they had some sprays around to help when cleaning the inside after the wash.

If you need a quick wash and don’t really care too much about the quality of the wash go here. Soap was still on the vehicle, glass not cleaned very well. The back and sides not very dry. The vacuums were nice and worked well.

The wheel shine ($3 extra) is just a high pressure water spray. I still had to clean my wheels. Ugghhhh! Manager was kind enough to refund my money (2 cars) so I will be back. Just sans the Wheel Shine add-on.

I've only used a few times as I've been quarantined/ isolated at home for weeks. But... it is easy to get in and out, reasonably priced, efficient layout, helpful personnel, excellent equipment.

This car wash ripped the molding off one car and ripped the satellite antenna off another. The vacuum was so mangled at the end it scratched my dash. I have a gift card but will never return.
