This Vet is the worst I have ever been too and would never ever use their services again. I agree that they see your pet as revenue and don’t get the sense that they generally care about the animals that they are suppose to treat. I took a stray cat to the vets in September worried about the cats health as I wanted to keep the cat and provide a good loving and safe home for it. I was turned away because the cat was a stray cat. They claimed to be too busy to provide a health check and they were more concerned in me advertising for the owner and making me wait a week to see if the cats owner would show up. even after I advertised that I found a stray cat and I waited a week for the owner to claim it which obviously their was no owner. I was then told I had to register the cat online before I could get an appointment and once I registered the cat the next appointment I could get was a month later. Despite me calling the vets multiple times and being concerned due to the health check appointment being weeks away and my cat showing severe signed of being tired and possibly pregnant or ill due to her tummy being extended and rounded I could hardly get through on the phone to the vets and when I did I was told that they were too busy to see her and I would have to wait almost up to a month. Well my beautiful cat ended up dying on 9th October. It is extremely upsetting as I have no idea what was wrong with her. I wasnt able to get a health check for her in time because of the vet turning me away and saying they were busy. And Even after the cat died I took my cats dead body to the vets and asked for a postmortem to find out the cause of death and was told a postmortem couldn’t be done unless I had £500 to give the vets straight away. Which I didn’t have the money and they wouldn’t accept any sort of payment plan. Even through my grief trying to get my cat cremated I was not offered a payment plan and therefore they wouldn’t cremate my cat for me, but instead was prepared to hold the cat in cold storage in a bin bag for weeks until I could come up with £300 to cremate her. In the end I opted to take my dead cats body out of the vets and get the cat cremated by a private company that showed proper compassion and dignity to my cat. The lack of treatment for my cat and the way I was dealt with by the staff at Goddard vet Hackney was terrible and I would not recommend this vet to anyone. They do not in my opinion have any respect for practicing duty of care and are only motivated by money. They themselves told me they only have a duty of care for animals that are badly injured and so my stray cat wasn’t on the priority list. I also complained in writing to the director and he does not see a problem with the nurses behaviour or how me or my cat was treated. I have seen many other poor reviews from people and I see I am not the only person they have treated with poor service. It’s disgusting that they are still allowed to operate.
I have used Goddards for years as our local vet. I have found that they see the animals brought to them as revenue opportunities rather than patients, and do not offer consistent quality of care. When you bring a very elderly pet who has taken a sharp downturn to them, they automatically recommend admission/biopsy/ultrasound tests to diagnose the immediate issue, thereby not just milking you of hundreds or even thousands of pounds unnecessarily, but causing the poor animal suffering as it reaches the natural end of its life. They never accept that the pet is simply dying of old age. They always make you be the one to even mention the option of having the poor animal put down to release it from suffering, thereby placing the burden of guilt onto the pet owner. The regular excellent vet Brian is available less and less now, and he was the only reason I still took my animals there despite my growing concerns about the practice. A lack of full-time vets has resulted in gaps in care, and lack of follow up on vital rest results in my recent experience there. Since this episode of nearly losing a healthy pet in the prime of life due to their lack of care, I cannot recommend it. Wanstead Veterinary Hospital offer excellent care to animals, and seem to put animal care above financial gain. They are also open every day, while Goddard's Hackney are only open until 12 on Saturdays and are closed on Sundays, which makes access difficult for anyone trying to hold down a day job and find care for a sick pet. I have also researched pet foods after years of buying all my food from Goddard's as they recommended. The surveys in Which? were very useful. I will no longer pay extortionate rates for the food they are encouraged to recommend, which are exclusively available from vets. Pets at Home have premium cat foods which are of equal or higher quality than the vet food at far more reasonable prices, and they offer free delivery. You can also arrange for regular deliveries of flea medicine for your pets from here. I find this to be an excellent service.
I took my cat to this practice nine months ago for surgical removal of mammary tumour. They did a great job and I was extremely happy with the process, the communication and the overall care. All staff members are very sensitive and caring towards the animals. The only reason I give this practice three stars is because of a recent miscommunication regarding my cat's treatment. I took her there as she was very unwell--she was quite old and seemed like she was suffering, so I had begun considering euthanasia. They were very reassuring and hopeful, saying that we could do some tests to investigate and then offer palliative care to ensure her comfort and happiness in her final days. We were outsourced to the hospital in Wanstead (which I would recommend to avoid at all costs). The tests turned inconclusive. I tried to speak to our vet in Hackney and requested an emergency appointment so as to discuss treatment possibilities and think about a more humane ending through euthanasia. They did not offer me an emergency appointment and instead they suggested we go to the hospital in Wanstead. I ended up taking her to another hospital, where she eventually passed away. Retrospectively, my concern is whether the whole outsourcing was worth it and my only recommendation would be to allow, in some cases, emergency consultation with the vet who knows the animal and the owner best so as to co-decide the course of the treatment. At no point during this turbulent journey did I have the chance to have a chat with our vet at the Hackney branch, nor the one who performed the tests in Wanstead. I have left a separate review for the hospital.
Moses my 8 year old miniature pinscher who weighs just 3.4 kilos recently had 22 that’s half of his teeth plus a lump on the side of his face removed by Dr. Brian Barnett and Sarah I believe was the veterinary nurse assisting at Goddards, Wells Street Hackney. Dr Brian and his team slowly and meticulously over 3 and half hours sedated scraped extracted and stitched demonstrating all the patience, skill, concentration, delicacy, dexterity required to perform micro surgery on a fragile tiny jaw. This was no minor procedure not only for Moses but everybody involved. Despite some skin o’ teeth moments all’s well and ended well. All emerged triumphant, relieved and I got to take home Moses that day and a test tube of pearly fangs to add to a growing collection of family body parts! The lump however was incinerated! Brian suggested perhaps a bone bracelet –Moses being a big macho-medallion man type might like a bespoke collar who knows. Seriously, over the years I have had different pets and different vets, until Brian Barnett that is , he remains my No 1 Go-To Vet, he is brilliant and handsome too. Noel Fitzpatrick watch out there is another Super Vet about. I can’t recommend Brian and his team more highly. Thank you all Goddards Hackney.
I left a 5-star review five years ago. Sadly since then, I don't feel I can say the same. The practice keeps cancelling my appointments for my 3 cats at the very last minute. As a busy freelancer this is more than annoying. It costs me money: if I don't work, I don't get paid. I have lost money and valuable time because of their inexplicable cancellations the night before an appointment. They are clearly understaffed. It is impossible to book appointments for simple things like getting flea treatments. I am thinking of taking my business elsewhere as this isn't working out for me or my cats. It's too disorganised and I can't keep losing work because they have overbooked or can't organise their practice. It's a shame as the vets are great. Maybe they'll get their act together again. For now, I really can't recommend them. (From 2017: I cannot recommend this practice enough. I had an emergency with a kitten and the staff there were brilliant. They sorted things out quickly and efficiently and with lots of care and sensitivity. Lovely place with wonderful staff.)
Dr Brian and the nurses are amazing! They went above and beyond with our bunny and are kind, caring, and very familiar with rabbit medicine. In fact what I loved is that they right away asked about his diet, so they are keen to educate rabbit owners on proper bunny care. He went for vaccinations and to be neutered, and it has been an all around amazing experience. Another thing I loved is that they don't try to sell you things you may not need: Louie was give pain meds and some recovery food to take home after surgery, but no motility drugs. I was told to keep an eye on him and is he did not use the toilet, then I should come back to get those medications, but there was no need to sell them to me unless he really needed them. I really liked this because they could just as well have sold them to us without it being all that necessary.
I have been a customer at Goddard's for over 20 years, and overall have been satisfied with the service I and my pets have received. I have to say that unfortunately they have recently introduced some kind of central booking system which leaves a lot to be desired. After being dealt with by long-serving dedicated local staff for many years, this is very unsatisfactory, to say the least. The call-taking staff clearly don't know the branch and making simple appointments is becoming hard work. I just phoned to make an appointment which became complicated as something had gone wrong with my records. I realised what must have happened and explained it to her twice, but I know she didn't get it so I am now going to have to go into the branch to sort it out because I have zero faith in her ability to do so.
The vets and staff at Goddards Hackney are wonderful, thoughtful and knowledgable when ever we've seen them. But we cannot get through to them on the phone, we've been calling and emailing for the past 6 weeks and have heard nothing back. We've paid for the pet protection plan and they haven't sent us the flea treatment or de-wormer treatments. It feels like they've taken on too many clients and can't actually provide support. We are signed up to the annual plan but after our year is up will be looking for another vet who will be able to fit our dog in. It is a shame because as I said before the vets, nurses and staff seem to really care about animals but not getting basic services we are paying for and I do not trust that if there was an emergency or urgent question they would pick up the phone.
I had a very bad experience with this vet. I was mislead on what I was actually paying for and when it became clear that I had not received what I had asked for there was zero compensation and not even an apology. Unfortunately due to their mistake/deceit I cannot afford to give my pet treatment as all my budget was spent on pretty much.... nothing. I left feeling completely and utterly scammed. The way they handled the situation was appalling, blaming the 'misunderstanding' on me. I will not return and feel despair every-time I think about it. I had been there previously and the male vet was very nice and didn't feel so money-grabbing so perhaps I was just unlucky this time in who I was dealing with over phone and email. The receptionist needs to be more clear.
Terrible experience at this vet. Informed Receptionist via the phone I was coming to purchase treatment for my cat. Arrived and a rude Receptionist kept me waiting ages despite me informing her I had a pre-operation appointment. I requested she call the Manager after 20 minutes or so had passed. Had no issues waiting on previous occasions. I complained to the vet and other staff whom resolved the issue. I was given the treatment and was late for my hospital appointment. Regional Manager then sent a nasty letter to my sisters home whom has a disability and Director is satisfied with her conduct and everyone’s conduct. They do not want my custom. I would never use this vet again. They are incredibly unprofessional.
We took our puppy to be neutered yesterday. The staff were amazing, the Vet was really thorough with his initial assessment and really reassuring which is a big deal when you are entrusting your little buddy to have surgery (routine or otherwise). The vet nurse explained everything when we collected him so we felt confident bringing him home that we could care for him. The staff are always just at the end of the phone too. Each and every member of staff always make us feel like they are caring for Toby like he was their own. Even down to the little heart drawn next to his name on his medication bag, the little touches like that mean the world. We cannot recommend this Vet practice highly enough.
I really wish I'd had the same experiences as most of the other people that have managed to leave good reviews, but sadly this has not been the case. I've had my puppy for just over 10 months now, and I've struggled to get an answer to the phone on every occasion I've called them - which is worrying. The one time I managed to get an appointment, I felt like the practice was unclean and extremely rushed. I spent over £100 on eye drops and was told just pop back if they don't work (?!). I totally understand they're very busy, but I would rather make the commute back to my hometown (3 hours away), where there's a more care, and I don't have to call numerous time to get an answer.
The whole experience of taking my Gran's dog to the Grooming was absolutely great. It was the first time we had been there. They are lovely people, the dog Alexa absolutely loved be there. A lovely constable seating area for you to wait in while the dog is being groomed. She was so excited when she came out. Her fur is so lovely and back to her original golden brown colour, her nails were clicked off so she could walk around properly. She had the full works done at a reasonable price. I will definitely be taking her back there again. The groomers have been certified covid-19 Free and have all the correct documents and certificates on display for you to see.
Great care… when you can get hold of them. It took me two days of continuous calls to get hold of them in regards to my kittens flea treatment. It took a further four days for me to receive a text from the nurse to state I need to state the weight of my kitten. Took me a following two days to get hold of them again to make sure they have the weight of my cat. Then a following two days for my prescription to be signed off. This needs to be done every month. I’ve also apparently been added to the waiting list for her to be neutered. I’ve heard nothing for 2 months. Tried calling. Again… no luck. Very time consuming. It’s a shame as it’s a fantastic vet.
We have been with this vet surgery for over three years and up until recently things were ok. We then made an appointment for September only for the surgery to cancel that and give us a new appointment for October, which they have now cancelled again and gave us an appointment for November. This means immunisations are going to be 2 months late. We are also out of flea and worming meds but they will not post these without charging even though it is their fault (we always pick up supplies during vet visits.) Starting to look around for a new vet, in anticipation of what now seems almost a certain yet another cancellation.
We've been visiting Hackney Goddards with our little bind cat pretty regularly since September 2018. Brian is amazing, he guided us to make the right decisions regarding oral surgery Louie needed. He spotted Louie was in the early stages of kidney disease when no one else had which means we now have him stabilised. He always goes above and beyond to make sure we have all the information we need despite being extremely busy. The nurses are always so gentle and patient with Louie when needing to take blood. And the girls on reception always have a smile even when its manic. Highly recommend this branch.
Currently we are going through the incredibly stressful and difficult process of moving our cat from the UK to Australia which requires a lot of paperwork and complex procedures. Dr Brian has not only been incredibly supportive and knowledgable but has gone above and beyond to double, triple, quadruple check everything to ensure Bertie gets there safely. I cannot recommend this practice and Dr Brian more, and anyone who is nervous about their pet's treatment and health should feel confident to try this practice. I can only hope I find a Vet as caring and as detail orientated in Sydney.
It was my cat’s first consultation at the Goddard Veterinary Group, Hackney today. The care and attention we were given was incredibly thorough and I really felt I was being given solid, reliable and knowledgeable advice. I’ve used vets in the past that seemed to recommend expensive treatments for the sake of it whereas everything recommended to me was, in my opinion, necessary and well advised. Thank you so much Goddard's of Hackney – I can’t recommend you highly enough and I look forward to my next check up as I know my cat is in the very best hands. Jane
Dreadful experience. We took our puppy there for his vaccinations. It’s on a very busy road, and because of COVID they force you to wait outside. So you don’t really get to talk to the vet apart from a couple of mins at the end of the appointment by the door while you pay. They were running late so we eventually got them to take our terrified puppy indoors while we waited outside. I took one step inside while wearing a mask to hand him over and was told off by the male vet. The whole thing was miserable. Not recommended.
My two cats Sammy and Catasnore have been clients of here for several years and I highly recommend them. I've always found the whole team to be professional, caring and friendly.Dr Brian Barnett is an excellent vet who is always thorough and gentle with S and C. When C had a serious condition Brian's treatment was second to none. He is very patient taking time to explain and answer questions. He was so supportive to me and I will always remember his kindness during a worrying time. Thank you. Ellen, Sammy and Catasnore.
By far the worst vets practice I've ever used. Appointments always late, the vet is understaffed and the staff are also of poor quality. Overpriced compared to others. Have botched my cats surgery and misdiagnosed my cats illness multiple times, in each scenario it led to my cat suffering for much longer than necessary - being given incorrect medications, having to pay for scans that were unnecessary (was a simple eye infection) Avoid this vet at all costs, your pet suffers more and you will pay them more money.
I had my 2 dogs now only 1 registered at Goddards because I lost my little Yorkie Ollie all I can say is that Rebecca the vet who looked after him at the end was amazing the care she gave to our little Ollie and us so good and caring she helped us at such a terrible time for my mum and me she took great care for him and us through this terrible time she is a wonderful vet and such a lovely person I would recommend Goddard vets especially Rebecca to take take care of your pet .
I took my four year old cat here, I was told she was dying. Absolutely devastated I asked if I could have a few days at home with her. The vet obviously talked to another vet, I was given penicillin for her, after a few days, absolutely fine. How can a vet do this someone, I was told no hope. I picked my cat up after third appointment, the vet did not even talk to me. I didn't mind what it cost, lack of empathy from the vet hurt. She knew how upset I was. I will never be back.
The staff are very helpful and friendly, I have made many repeat visits to the practice. Brian and Rebecca have been particularly very helpful and supportive with one of our cats, who suffers acute mouth problems. I found Brian and Rebecca to be very knowledgeable and to go to lengths to find best practice evidence. We haven't found a cure yet, but with their help we are managing his condition. I am sorry we have had to move from the area, I hope we can find another good vet.
First visit to this vet- felt really rushed, consult only took 5 mins although there were 2 serious issues that should have been given more time, the vet should have taken the time to get our history and explain things in more detail. We left feeling we were an inconvenience rather than a valued client. Not to mention the cost was quite high for such a short consultation. Have since been to another vet and experienced the total opposite- we won't be back.
We've been going to Goddard Well Street for ~8 years for our 2 cats and 1 dog. We LOVE this vet group and all of the staff. You ALWAYS feel like they've got your pet's best interest at heart. They are so personable, friendly and professional and have gone above and beyond for us so many times! I recommend them to everyone who asks me which vet practise I use and everyone has always agreed that they're incredible. Special shout outs to Sarah and Jean! <3
Reception were super nice even though we were there at a busy time at the end of a long day. The vet was amazing!! Was there for my puppy’s 2nd vaccine and she didn’t even notice it being done because the vet entertained her and let her sniff around and then fed her liver treats to distract her. I didn’t have to do anything! She explained things and was happy to answer my questions even though it was the last appointment of the day. Totally recommend!
Very helpful & supportive towards pet owners. Helped us with our cat at short notice, to which we thank them for doing so much. They understand that animals are like children to their owners. Very professional & customer friendly, put our minds at rest in a time of need. *Seperate message: I apologise for sending an incorrect review on Google Review, it has now been deleted, yes you were correct it was meant for another business..... Again Sorry !
Dr Brian Barnett saved my cat that had been diagnosed with a lethal disease. A true miracle which I could not be more thankful for. He took the time to send me emails to explain the situation way after his working hours and gave all the support I needed throughout the cure. He loves animals and looks through all details. He even saw my cat had an issue with her eye which I had never spotted in 6 months! Long life to my cat... And Dr Barnett!
The veterinarians themselves are fantastic. They are great at what they do. The reception staff are terrible and are so unorganised, not self disciplined. They mess appointments up or cost you multiple visits. For example 1 litter of pups resulted in a appointment everyday for 1 week which then cost consultation fees for every appointment on top of your normal fees and needs. Fantastic vets, fairly priced,Terrible reception service.
We went to Goddard today as our usual vet was closed and my puppy had eaten something she shouldn't have - even though we weren't usual clients and it was late in the evening, everyone was so kind and helpful! My pup is on the mend now and I can't say enough good things about the reception staff, nurses and vet. Thank you so much for being so patient and kind to us, we would absolutely visit again and recommend you to everyone!
This is my second time to Goddard Well Street and my experience was much better than my first visit. This time we met vet Brian and that seemed to make all the difference from our first visit. He was thorough and took the time to explain everything he was doing and why, providing us with options on how to proceed with our cat's case. He was careful with handling our pet who was feeling unwell and stressed.
The service here is absolutely incredible and I’ve never felt more safe leaving my babies in the hands of another person. Jean is the most loveliest friendliest person on earth with a wealth of knowledge and the patience of an Angel. Box and Yoda (my cats) agree too. I highly recommend this vets and the pet plan which makes life so much easier and ensures my cats are up to date on all their medical needs.
This is my local veterinary, it is a busy practice but the team are great and will try see our dog as soon as they can or redirect to other Goddards on occasions where they can’t see our pet eg when I requested a last minute vaccine appointment , they always prioritise my pet when he has been unwell and he will always get seen on the day he is unwell, Niven is a sweetie , very kind, and informative Vet
It was my cats first visit and he's a very shy cat who can hold his own if he's unhappy so I was worried there could be a fight. But the vet was very kind, gentle and handled Cali with great care and confidence. The vet checked Calis teeth, took his temperature, gave him wormer and his first vaccination all in the one visit. Cali remained relatively calm. I'm very impressed and pleasantly surprised.
We've been using the Well Street Goddard's for 20 years, during which time we have had five cats. Really friendly and professional on the front desk and the vets are truly superb.A special mention to Brian, who clearly loves his demanding vocation. When we had to euthanase three of our cats in very old age during the last 15 years, they all handled the ghastly processes so compassionately.
Horrible customer experience. Was late 5 minutes and even though I had booked over a month in advance there was no flexibility and didn’t take care of my pet. That shows no compassion nor kindness, they shouldn’t be allowed to take care of animals. Not to mention the fact this was the second appointment for the same issue, as they weren’t able to solve in the first instance. DONT GO
My cat was taken here by kind strangers after she was hit by a car. Goddard's treated her and made sure she was stable and comfortable, called me to tell me she was there, and as soon as I arrived they let me know what was happening and arranged a transfer to their 24-hour hospital. They were skilled, knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful and communicative in a very stressful situation.
Our poor puppy eat something really bad. I rang them and they responded immediately and asked us to come in straight away. All the time the vet told us the course of action and kept us informed. Very caring, friendly and professional. It wasn’t cheap but the service is first rate. Puppy is on the mend and running around like it never happened. Thank you
Extremely happy with the practice and all the people working there, especially Brian. They have a personal and caring approach and always going the extra mile to accommodate for emergencies. Brian has taken extra care of our puppy and his help with moving abroad and making all the arrangements has been amazing. Definitely recommend it to any pet owner!
Been taking my cat here for 7 years, most recently this week due to conjunctivitis which was diagnosed quickly and medicine supplied. I downloaded the new PetsApp which allowed me to share a photo and make an appointment without having to phone up. We were seen on time which is appreciated given my indoor cat gets v nervous when taken anywhere!
No issues with the vets themselves but really difficult to get through on the phone to the actual clinic, always goes to the call centre who then ask me to wait for a callback from the clinic which sometimes does not happen. Getting close appointments is getting more and more difficult as well. Please consider hiring more staff to meet demand.
Today was our first appointment for Solomon with Jean and she amazing. So sweet, Intelligent and really was so good with my old man. we called last minute and she was able to squeeze us in which we really really appreciated because I know it’s not always easy to do that. Thank you so much for seeing him today and giving him the best treatment!
Super friendly and knowledgeable team. Brian is looking after our cat who has a long term illness and requires regular checkups. I couldn’t ask for a nicer vet both in dealing with animal and owner. Everything is clearly explained and he always go the extra mile to make sure treatment is right and our cat is happy. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Would have rated it higher a year ago but recently things have changed. It is really difficult to get through on the phone. It took three days to get through to them and routine things like neutering have six month long waiting lists which is ridiculous. Have had to go elsewhere to get my male kitten neutered at the best recommend age.
This practice is the most disorganised place I’ve ever encountered. Taken on more patients than they can handle, the care is sub-standard. Recommend you register elsewhere as our pets have had a terrible experience here and no one is interested in rectifying the situation. Just sitting on hold and cancelling appointments.
Took my kitten here for the first time. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Pricing was very transparent and cost wasnt too bad. They offer a pet plan for your animal which is good value. There is also seperate seating area for cats and dogs. Highly recommended and my little guy didnt seem to mind being there either.
Great vet that I'm so thrilled to have switched to. Our first visit was welcoming and they did very well to get Loli acclimatised for her checkup and vaccination. She was thoroughly examined, treated with a lot of affection and my own nerves of being at the vet we're laid to rest by kind and supportive staff. Excellent!
Really lovely team of hard working and compassionate vets and nurses. Nothing is too much trouble and we're continually grateful when they quickly check something or offer us peace of mind in the odd query here and there. They're quick, caring and passionate both in person at the vets and remotely via their app.
Good vets but significantly over charged for flea treatment I paid £36 for Advocate large cat 3 pack. I thought it was a bit steep so Googled it and found it retails for around £13. An okay service but I can't stand such companies that take advantage of customers ignorance. I won't buy anything from them again!
Fantastic veterinary. Brian is an excellent surgeon! My dog was diagnosed with cancer and received the best treatment with sensitivity and care from all staff. Brian performed a very difficult surgery to excellent standards. They have been also very helpful with the stressful process of insurance claim.
We visited Goddard Veterinary on Saturday 30th April 2020 for an emergency visit. Our little cute cat Bruno (ginger and white) was severely injured. The Vet, nurse and assistant were very helpful. They tried their best to save Bruno, but unfortunately he had to be put down. They did the best they can.
I took my kitten for a checkup on the eye not knowing I would be charged £75 for something I could've just asked a friend about. They are very quick to take your money that's for sure!. Not only that, but my kitten also caught fleas from there , definitely makes me wonder how hygienic they really are
I've been taking my cats to this practise for nearly 8 years now and they're kind, considerate to my cats needs, professional, friendly and really thorough. They're always super helpful over the phone and through the Petsapp too even if I haven't had an appointment. Would highly recommend. Thank you.
I would like to thank the staff and Dr Brian for the fantastic care given to my cat Gizmo. The team were informative and respectful, empathetic and understanding of the concerns we have as pet owners! Brilliant team and first class treatment-one very happy cat and a grateful owner..Thankyou …
Dr. Brian Barnett and all the nurses are amazing and took great care of Louie (our bunny). They are clearly well versed in rabbit medicine and have done an amazing job with his surgery. Particularly the time they take for aftercare, education, and giving advice and information is fantastic!
Both vets Niven and Jean have been very helpful any time we have visited. My dog is very nervous and anxious and all the staff have been great. The reception staff in particular were very understanding and helpful on our last visit, giving me a heads up when there were other dogs due in.
Regardless my bad experience at other Goddard branch I am happy to recommend the Hackney one. Staff was understanding and supportive to the best of their ability and were much helpful in a very difficult time for my cat. Would consider taking my pup there and would recommend to others.
I take my cat Romeo and he seems to be treated well because he comes & goes calm which is what we all want :) Every time & had some issue or needed urgent attention they made everything possible to accommodate him. I totally recommend to bring your loved one here, Thank you!
The staff are lovely and are willing to go out of their way to help you. I was in a real pickle with my dog registration and Jamie went out of her way to help me sort it out that day. It's absolutely made my week and has lifted a big weight off my shoulders
They were all so lovely and warm, I brought my hamster in and had her seen pretty quickly. It was also great that the vet was able to fit us in on the same day. I am very appreciative of their kindness and overall service. Bravo Goddard, I’ll be back
I took my dog to this vet this afternoon, everyone who dealt with me was kind, friendly and very professional. I was given all the information and advice I needed. Many thanks. I would certainly recommend this veterinary service to everyone. Xx
Everyone at the vets is always soo kind, helpful and supportive. Dr Niven was brilliant was my cat Bao and gave me great advice etc. They got me an appointment at short notice on a Saturday and everyone there was so friendly. Thank you all :)
Incredible Vets. Very friendly and understanding. poppy had seen my dog molly, she was incredibly professional and informative . all the staff were very welcoming and friendly,. I cant fault my experience in any way. 10/5 stars! Thanks guys!
If you have a Shiba Inu please avoid this place. Several times the staff have shown their dislike towards this breed being extremely rude in front of customers waiting in line and making it look like my dog is some sort of evil animal when
Re my review below. I emailed you last year, at your request, with my reasons for a one-star review when I gave no comments on the review itself. I received no response from you at the time. I have just forwarded you the email and hope I
I've visited today. My cat had some troubles with her gums, chattering for a week, closing her mouth with difficulty. The reception gave guidance on the phone before I could manage to come, very welcome and caring. Doctor listened
Always receive a great service from the vets here for my dog, they break everything down and explain it to you as opposed to just telling you that your pup needs an injection etc. Great knowledge from the vets and would recommend.
Newly registered and impossible to reach by phone, even when dialling 0 for an emergency. I left a message which was never returned. The one time I got through the receptionist was rude. I have now registered my pet elsewhere.
THIS IS A JOKE! Got treatment that was not suitable for the puppy and he got worse than before. They prescribe stuff that is on amazon for half price and NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. The whole goddard group is a joke and a big scam
Fantastic and friendly vet! Brought in our pooch for her first appointment since moving to the UK and the staff was wonderful. Knowledgeable, approachable and highly recommended if you’re a dog owner in East London!
Always love this vet, great service and so amazing with our pets. If I ever have an issue, I've had no problem voicing it with the head vet and the issues have been sorted immediately. Everyone is so nice here too
I highly recommend taking your pet here. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. It is also through this practice that we adopted our second cat. We couldn't have asked for a sweeter, more socialised cat.
Our dog has always been treated with kindness by a compassionate and professional staff. Brian, our vet, is just wonderful and I cannot praise him more highly . I would recommend this vet without reservation.
Rip off!! Wanted to charge me £800-£1000 for a burst abscess. Took to another vet which cost £50 for the consult and anti-biotics and cat recovered very quickly. Not the first time theyve tried to con me here
Very nice staff, always going out of their way to help any way they can. A bit small waiting area, but the staff make up for it and work with what they have. Recommended and been coming here for years now.
Amazing service from start to finish. Ben couldn’t have been better to our 11 week pup on her first visit. I’m sure she will be confident and even keen to return after the ear massage! Thanks so so much!
This eas a nurse visit for our 2 stressed cats. The nurses were brilliant with them! The whole experience was great. From reception upon arrival to treatment. Friendly, attentive, kind and understanding.
They try to be as quick as possible to cover as many! Probably not gonna get the proper care and had to go 4 times to eventually get the right treatment! I guess it’s a way to make more ££.
As always top notch service, I love this vets practice, really helped settle my mind and were great with my cat millie, if you're looking hor such a caring team I highly recommend this vet.
Excellent staff and vets, very quick and friendly. They look after cats well, my cat was totally relaxed with this vet even though she’s normally stressed and nervous to meet strangers.
Not happy with the treatment of my pet. They regarded my pet as nothing but a money making exercise and had no regard for aftercare or the complications that arose from surgery.
The staff at Goddard were incredibly kind when our cat developed cancer and eventually had to be put to sleep. They were supportive and made the process as gentle as possible.
It was our first consultation today there. Went in without an appointment and am super glad to say their attention was quick, humble and thorough. Very recommended
Used the online communication facility on Goddard's website to check for special cat food and it was all ready and waiting when we arrived at Well Street. Easy!
Friendly, same price as anywhere else and friendlier staff - would recommend ALTHOUGH - As a consumer, I would like to avoid the whole pet book thing - which
Very helpful staff and always happy to give helpful advice. They look after my dog so well he had surgery and reassured me every step of the way.
Lovely well organised practice. They clearly love our pet friends. Our recent visit was thorough, informative and sensitively handled.
Brilliant team and all super attentive to my English Bulldog - he loves visiting them! Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!
The nurses and vets at Goddard Hackney are ABSOLUTE angels ❤️ super competent, reassuring, and friendly. 5 stars and beyond!
