Homeless man outside Sainsbury’s dog was giving birth to pups outside in the freezing cold. I phoned RSPCA, automated line said if an emergency contact local vet. So I contacted Goddards E18 who told me someone else had called them & they were not willing to help in anyway. Said they had 1 vet on who was in surgery. So why the hell could the receptionist not help the dog & pups out to just keep them warm & give the Mum dog a meal just until the vet finished surgery. A LOCAL VETS THAT HAS NO ANIMAL WELFARE AT HEART !!! IT’S ALL ABOUT MONEY, MONEY, MONEY !!! How can they sleep at night knowing they haven’t helped a desperate animal in need, that’s got no choice of it’s own circumstances. I’ve spent fortunes over the years at Goddards, definitely never again !!!

I don't usually give bad reviews but I can't help but feel a little bit disappointed after they have cancelled their appointment with us three times in a row. I try to understand that they have a very busy schedule and so my appointment can always only be in at least two weeks time, and for the time being if my cat is sick I'll try my best to take care of her myself. But this is the third time in a row and they always only notify us an hour in advance when we are just about to leave with her only to be told that the vet is sick today. They don't even rebook for us when they cancel so I have to just make another appointment and wait another two weeks.

Been going here for years. Good vets and staff but recent experience means going to 2 stars and unlikely to return. Responding to your request for more information. I escalated my complaint about your very rude secretary / receptionist at the front desk in South Woodford all the way up to the area manager and then the MD who basically just shielded her. I’ve now reduced your rating to 1* because you just send standard responses too all bad feedback. To all the 5* feedback I was also happy with this group. Try having a real problem though and see where that gets you. A company’s real test is how they fix problems and their culture. This place … mmmm.

I took my cat for a check up today as she had teary eyes. I was advised on the phone to go to this clinic instead of my local Goddard because the doctor is an eye specialist, and that the check up would be £49. After the visit, the doctor says it is nothing unusual, just normal for the cat breed. I approached reception for payment and she handed me the total of £80. Not impressed, I said I was told a price on the phone for the check up and this is what I was prepared to pay. Doctor was prepared and professional, although the receptionist experience was very disappointing.

Took my cat to see this one vet after registering and booking a time.. Had good exchange of emails prior to visit as cat needs to have eye pressure and blood pressure taken frequently.the practice is small but not an issue either. The service was reassuring, the vet explained procedures and medication, attentive and solicitous. The cats is stable and hopefully will live a little longer. Prices a bit steep, but fortunately the feline has insurance. Will be going back often as cat needs monitoring. Overall, very pleased.

We’ve taken our cat Perry here since we got him 2019, and this veterinary practice has always been amazing! The receptionists are friendly and helpful, the nurses are kind, and the vets are just the best. We took him in today for a flea issue that he has been having and were impressed by the level of care and treatment our Perry received. Would definitely recommend them.

I came to this vets with my cat with a very worrying concern about her eye. Adam (the vet) made the whole experience so wonderful as he explained everything so well so I fully understood the process of what my cat needed, making sure I felt reassured. I knew straight away he was going to be a great vet for us as he was so loving and kind towards my cat from the start.

Its sad that they assume we have thousands to spend on treatment so they are not considering the fact that not everyone is a millionaire. I had to take my dog as an emergency however the service was very inconsistent, they mixed the medication and corrected the way to administered and so on.. poor service compared to fees they charge happily.

We've been using the South Woodford branch of Goddards for many years and it is fantastic. Everyone working there is - & always has been - lovely. They provide a really good service both in terms of explaining everything and in the way they treat you and your pet - a caring attitude makes such a difference. Highly recommend.

I’ve been coming to this branch since about 1988 and they are brilliant. Lately Adam, Lisa and all the staff have been really kind and reassuring following my cats diagnosis with lymphoma. They got him in straight away to start treatment and have complete patience when I have a worry or question. I can’t thank them enough.

The staff at this practice are so helpful and accomodating. I missed an appointment and they managed to squeeze me in. Very friendly staff, (Unlike another practice in the sane group not too far away!) There is a small parking area outside, otherwise there is paid parking on the road on the side of the practice.

For many years I have taken my dogs and cats to South Woodford to see Adam. Together with his nurses, they have always given excellent service, gone to great lengths to find the best options with regard to treatments and shown care & kindness to my animals. I would recommend them to anyone 10/10

❗❗APPALLING customer service, 3 times I've dealt with them they've been RUDE and OBNOXIOUS. Today I have called because my dog needs urgent attention and all they could say is "sorry we don't have any availability for rest of the week". AVOID this vets if you care about your pet❗❗

Vet an eye specialist fitted us in at short notice after a visit to another branch of Goddards. Very professional and thorough, we left with a much clearer view on what is wrong with Leo. Way to go yet, but a lot more positive than we were before visit.

I was told by a very snappy receptionist to ‘get off the emergency line’ after telling her that my dog was unable to walk, in severe pain and distress with blood pouring out of his paw. Interesting definition of ‘emergency’ that they clearly have.

So the vets at Goddard South Woodford were absolutely wonderful, they took the time to make my dog feel comfortable and were so thorough checking her over. They answered all my questions and made us both feel in very good hands!

Excellent service, friendly staff and the animals are handled with respect and as much dignity as necessary (including taking the pets temperature... Yes, even that...). A recommended vet, used by our family for years.

Really friendly and professional. Staff there are real animal lovers and understand anxious pet owners. They take care to make pets as comfortable and unstressed as possible for every pricedure. Highly recommended.

No idea what this team does, but my dog is excited to go in! Staff are friendly, efficient and the addition of the app during the pandemic is a lifesaver. Can’t recommend them highly enough...

Excellent treatment by the vet for my cat, obviously due to Covid unable to enter the surgery but he was fine when he came out so obviously not an ordeal for him, very happy

I messed up my appointment a few weeks a go, staff were really friendly and accommodating. It is on the expensive side but it's a private vet.. to be expected.

Brought in a stray cat from Woodford Green to see if it was microchipped. It was and looked after until the owners are traced. Very compassionate and friendly.

Always very attentive, personable and show great compassion when treating our precious dog Lola. I trust them completely and would not go anywhere else.
