AVOID THIS FAKE AND TERRIBLE COMPANY! I had an absolutely horrendous experience with this car rental company. They are fake and completely untrustworthy. Here's what happened: I arrived at the designated time of 8am, fully prepared with all the required documents as stated in their email. However, upon reaching the reception, I was suddenly told that I needed a DVLA check, which had never been mentioned before. This lack of transparency was infuriating. To make matters worse, they informed me that I had to wait for three long hours to obtain the DVLA check code before I could take the car. This was completely unacceptable, especially since I needed the car at 8am. It was clear that they had no regard for their customers' time or convenience. To add insult to injury, the receptionist himself admitted that this company is fake and that many people have complained about them. This revelation confirmed my worst suspicions about their lack of legitimacy. I am beyond furious with this car rental company and strongly advise everyone to avoid them at all costs. Their unprofessionalism, deceptive practices, and disregard for customer satisfaction are inexcusable. Save yourself the headache, stress, and potential financial loss by choosing a reputable car rental company instead. This one simply cannot be trusted. Don't waste your time or money—do not book with this fake and terrible car rental company!

AVOID THIS COMPANY and its parent company BSPAUTO(and the Europcar outlet in Cherbourg). As 204 other people have pointed out, BSPAUTO are basically running an easy money-making scam. They allow you to book a car at a time that would be impossible for the local agency to fulfil. For example at the same time as their local supplier closes. They then take your money and their is nothing you can do. They trot out the same excuse. In my case I booked to pick up a car at 12pm. Europcar was the local supplier. Even though I phoned them at 11.45am the Europcar office was closed. Even though BSPAuto staff phoned Europcar there was no reply. BSPAuto also said I could pick up the car at 2pm instead, when the Europcar outlet would reopen. But they were wrong. The Europcar office is always closed on a Saturday afternoon. As it was public holiday they were closed Sunday and Monday also. Our precious family holiday ruined. In any other business this would be called robbery. We went to another agency in Cherbourg who were well aware of this scam. Shame on a reputable organisation like Europcar to associate themselves with such immoral practices. Zero stars. There are many rental companies out there so why would anyone chose BSPAUTO even if you save a few Euros. People matter but not to BSPAUTO.

Avoid at all costs! I booked a car rental for France weeks before and had it confirmed, they asked for card details and it didn’t go through so I rang to query and was told it would be processed 7 days before the trip. I have booked many rentals previously as have a house in France and thought it seemed strange. I rang the next day to speak to someone else and was told this was correct so I assumed all ok. The day before I was due to fly I received an email to say my reservation had been cancelled!! When I rang I spoke to a really unhelpful man called Zack he told me the car had been cancelled and there was now no longer any available! I asked to speak to a manager to which he told me there was no one available, they were in meetings all the next day and not free to call until 4 days later!! I have a 4 year old who was crying in the background at the prospect of our holiday being cancelled due to being in a more remote part of France. He was not interested and in a rush to get off the phone! Terrible customer service and I believe they got a higher price for the rental and cancelled my booking!

Have used twice and had very good experiences. First for a ski trip to Italy, March 2023 and second for a 3 week trip to the USA, July 2023. Very good experience with 1. Avis/Maggiore in Italy (Milan Malpensa), pretty slick, no messing around trying to upsell "upgrades" etc. 2. Dollar at Los Angeles Airport LAX, probably the best experience I've had renting a car, very helpful, no up-selling, found best car for me available in the category. Had called GotRentalCars a couple of times before arriving and both times they were helpful and contacted Dollar to let them know we would be later than expected. Finally, price was excellent and impossible to find better elsewhere - £1500 for 3 weeks in an $80k Chevrolet Suburban with full insurance cover, extra driver, unlimited miles etc. Looking at other reviews, it seems many problems people have is with mis communication between the rental Co. and Gotrentalcars about things like additional costs. My advice is to double check these things by calling Gotrentalcars in advance and asking them to check with the rental company.

Dont use! I don’t know whether it is Go Rental Cars or the the rental agent Drivalia/EasiRent that are less than scrupulous. I paid Go Rental Cars online in full including insurance. On picking up the car today, I was charged an additional £214.50 at EasiRent /Drivalia. This was non refundable for an insurance indemnity. I paid this on my debit card. Then I was then told to pay another £280+ , also non refundable because debit cards weren't acceptable for the refundable £450 deposit against damage to the vehicle. This is refundable if a credit card is used. The £277 car hire cost ended up over £700! Absolute scam. I didn’t take the car and am currently waiting a refund for all the charges from both Got Rental Cars and Easirent now Drivalia totalling over £500. Beware. My advice is go direct to a reputable rental firm who’s name you recognise. I am working away tomorrow for 2 weeks and no way of getting there and no funds to rehire. Even though funds debited instantly from account - take up to 28 days to refund. Disgraceful

Booked a car hire through this company who are a third party agent for various car rental companies. I selected Budget car rental with GotRentalCars Gold upgrade for a reasonable price. However on arrival to pick up the car Budget had no record of this upgrade (free tank of fuel and 3 drivers). They were kind enough to show the booking and it was as they said even though my email said differently. They kept a copy of the email hoping their system would update itself at some point prior to my return but sadly nothing changed. I ended up out of pocket for the fuel I had used and the payment for the upgrade I never got. BTW Budget were excellent as usual and find no fault with them regarding this (having used them a number of times in the past I always have had great service from them!). I have emailed the customer service team but at this time have had no response and am not holding my breathe for a partial refund - I hope this review will go someway to moving potential customers elsewhere for their car hire needs...

nd after booking and seeing no mention of deposit anywhere during the booking, I also booked the higher insurance which was kind of advertise to negate the need fro any deposit. I then received the confirmation with the mention of a deposit so then had to call gotrentals to ask what the deposit is. the girl did seem unsure and had to check and came back and said its 461, so i asked if it is pounds or euros and she said yes so i asked which and she said euros which made sense and equates to rough 400 euros, I took a prepaid card with a certain amount of money on arrived at avis and was then told the deposit is 950 of course an extra 950 affected my plans but had to pay this and otherwise woul;d have no car. AVIS also said they have big issues with Gotrentals always telling customers incorrect information so Please be aware of the cheap deal as they will STING you otherways

We were very happy with the service from them as we booked a vehicle in France. Initially we booked a 9 seater but they rang us the following day to say they were unable to find one. So instead we booked 7 seater which they fulfilled with Europcar. I rang them three times to ask questions - they answered the phone twice and for the third call they did not answer but called me back the next day. All questions were answered satisfactorily. The car was exactly as expected and provided at a good price. It's a shame some have had bad experience with this company. We had very bad experience with another company in France so were hesitant about not booking directly through a large rental agency but they were absolutely fine and we would use them again.

Absolutely awful service, my flight was delayed and I advised GotRental as I could not get hold of Budget. I was told it was not a problem and they would be open still. When I arrived the rental company was closed, the website said the company was based at the airport, this is not the case, its 3k away. I was stuck 110k from my destination and no car, no buses. I had to rent another car from another company. I was charged a £50 cancellation fee! I was lied to by the company, information on the website was false. When I asked why I was told it would be OK to collect later, the customer service said "there's a note, they could not get hold of them" but they had not phoned me back to relay this info! Awful service. Avoid at all costs!

I just received a booking reminder for a booking that I never created, asking me for my credit card details. This booking was never made by me, I have no email trail of said booking and I believe it to be fraudulent. I phoned one of your advisors, who has ‘cancelled’ the booking for me but then proceeded to tell me ‘it’s all fine don't worry' despite the fact that it appears someone has fraudulently impersonated me on your website (or in fact that this whole website is a scam). He then proceeded to tell me that my husband probably did it (I'm not even married!) and it was completely inappropriate. I will never be using this website and will actively tell people to avoid at all costs.

Avoid - shame I can't give 0 stars. Made a booking with these guys on May 24th for June. On May 30th (a week later!) they informed me the booking would be cancelled 'free of charge' because the car was not available. No alternative was offered. Meanwhile, rental prices have gone up and barely any cars available now. Surely, there must be a way for them to find out faster than a week? Obviously, GotRentalCars says it's not their fault, it's due to the rental companies they work with. I would suggest offering a 48 hour confirmation period to the car rental companies, that would protect customers. Won't be using their services again and suggest you don't do that either.

Good value car rental through a well known rental company. Vehicle received was actually an upgrade from the one booked and service was great. Only small snag was that there seemed to be lots of add on charges i.e. each driver had to pay a refundable payment of £200 (each!) and the car insurance excess was £1400 unless you paid an additional £60. So what appears to be a good deal ended up quite expensive and ate into our budget, even though our refunds were processed by the next day, but the holiday was over by then. If that was part of your holiday spending money it would be very inconvenient.

I have hired a car from this company for my work trip in UK, had to cancel it due to illness on 05.05 2023, until this day I don't have my money back, as per agreement they should keep a charge of £25 for 24 hours notice and return the rest, not a single penny back and also hundreds of emails sent, hundreds of calls and no action taken. Just hearing lies all the time, requested the swift for the return ,they are not sending it and saying amount has been returned. Yeah I have wasted hours of my time, because you have returned the money, correct? Worst expiration ever! Never use this company!

I had to cancel my rental which was quick and easy. I was informed I would be refunded. I am now nearly 3 months on and still chasing to get my refund, no one responds to emails and it has taken several phone calls to get any response. They ignore emails and the customer service team seem to have no way of doing anything, or they are just well managed to rebuff every request politely. Having checked their address on google earth it is clear they must be scammers as the address is a physiotherapists house? AVOID they are scammers at worst, or just totally ignorant at best

As others write, Avoid this company, completed comparison online quotation, took cheapest quote, all seamed to be good, until got to Portugal and collected our hire car from Airauto, 2 out of hour collections charged - an additional £80! For collecting after 8pm and dropping off before 7am, I put the collection and drop off times in the online quotation - why would gorentalcars, not include additional charges! Contacted customer services ’lol’ no reply to my complaint, I certainly will not use in future, wish people would see these reviews before using.

Don't use this company. I rented a car to pick up in Florida and payed in full before departure. On return to England I found I had been charged again. I contacted gotcatrentals for a refund and they said they needed to investigate. I have sent them all the paperwork but two weeks later I am still being fobbed off by there staff and as it stands I am over £700 out of pocket. They say they have contacted the car supplier but haven't had a response I have had two responses from them in this time. This company is a disgrace and cannot be trusted.

Rented via gotrentalcars UK a van @ Avis from SLC to Bozeman, with one-way rental included. At the counter in SLC Avis told me the one-way rental was not payed for by gotrentalcars, charging me $ 130.26. Tried to get in contact with gotrentalcars customer service by use of their request form on Sept 18th, sending reminders on Oct 1st and 5th. No answer so far - just an automatic remail stating "Thanks for sharing your experience with us, one of our customer service agent will get back to you as soon as possible." Hmmm

Booked USA - San Francisco - San Diego (7/2003). Everything included in the rental including one way fee. Initially we paid £800 but later found it cheaper for £500 so we cancelled which was very easy to do and we got refund within 14 days but l rebooked for cheaper price with them and that was smooth too. So free cancellation and saved £300. Car rental company initially charged us the deposit but it was refunded. I am so pleased with Go Rental Cars UK that l booked my Gran Canaries car hire for January 2024 with them.

Do not touch this company. Things are that bad I cant even be bothered to discuss again. 3 payments were taken from our account months after and we cannot get them back totalling £550. Still trying to get money back and they just hang up. We sent the 14 day notice as advised by The Citizens advice bureau by recorded delivery and they say they have not recieved it. Complicit in scamming people out of their money. Addcar in Sofia (avoid at all costs) ensured my credit card would not work so we had no choice but to take out a direct agreement. Meanwhile, Addcar attempt to pocked the fee from BSP/GoRentalCar. BSP Auto/GoRentalCar will not refund the full amount, presumably hoping their customers will get bored and not chase a full refund. Complicit with scammers, save yourself time and stress and just book your rental car elsewhere.

Unfortunately, I can't put a score lower than a one! Do not book through this company, I booked a car to pick up in Spain to be told by the car rental company that they do not accept from Got rental. I had to pay substantially more to the rental company, and although I contacted Gotrental at the time, I have seen no sign of a refund 7 weeks later. The last time I contacted Gotrental the female that I spoke to actually laughed down the phone at me. Avoid at all costs!

As a comparison website I have had a really disappointing experience. I ordered a 5 seater car but when the confirmation email came through it was for a 3 seater. GotCarRentals admitted it was a server error but they have zero control in amending or changing anything.. it also takes a week for them to give the money back! So beware. Absolutely terrible, advise not to use this organisation. They debited our account when we placed the order, then when we collected the car we were told a credit card was needed to be provided so that they could 'hold' a deposit, but when we returned the car they refused to return the full deposit and deducted the amount we had already paid when we placed the order. So we paid twice for the same rental and now it is impossible to get our money back.

AVOID this company. It’s a scam. They sold me a policy which didn’t exist. We couldn’t collect the car at the airport and when we called them they practically said it wasn’t their problem. Utterly appalling. We lost 2 hours trying to resolve it, only to be told there’s nothing they can do. Then was told the refund takes 10 working days! Looking at the other reviews it seems that many people never received their refund. Avoid like the plague.

The check in at La Guardia airport was quick and easy. The car was good for the short (5 hours) journey. The return wasn't great as no one told me Avis moved out of the Reagan airport in Washington so I had to find the address and drive there. As well I had to look for my own invoice/receipt (for expenses claim), which they told me instead they would send by email. Overall the service was OK but it has room for improvements.

I have tried to contact GOT Rental but no one answering the phone and no email. Would put 0 star if I could. Missing information on their reservation form and website lead me to not be able to get the car I reserved but still paying (plus all the things I had to pay as a consequence of not having the car: hostel, food, trains and buses). I have booked the car rental , the confirmation mentioned I booked the vehicle is “Peugeot 2008” or similar. However, I was provided the lower category vehicle Peugeot 308 which I feel is a cheating business as this is the officially lower class and lower category vehicle. Absolute Joke. Made the booking online. Was given a booking reference number and told I would receive an email shortly. An hour and a half later I call up and ask where the email is only to be told that the rental company they contacted would not take the booking. This is a scam, I am currently at the airport and I asked the car rental agents if they new "GotRentalCars" and they directly told me and I quote "We have never heard of this company, this is surely a scam" (I paid more than 500$ in this and unfortunately I have not been given much hope in getting refunded) I am very disappointed and wish for no one else to get caught in this fraud.

We booked a car rental well in advance of our holidays. On arrival, the rental company Delpaso charged us 322Euro extra as we didn't have a EU license. GoRentalCars condition simply said European license required which we presented. I don't think they made sufficient efforts to resolve the issue and offered us to pay and claim or cancel the booking (which wasn't an option).

Endless phone calls and excuses. Complete charlatans and ride with it. I’m utterly disgusted by their lack of professionalism. Go elsewhere, it will be cheaper and less stressful.

Think everything went well with GotRentalCars. However AVIS have taken a damage deposit from the associated credit card when the car was returned with no damage what so ever. I have been told I need to wait 3 weeks for them to investigate this. Even after stating I have a video of the car when handed back showing that the car was immaculate.

796834679 - No one mentioned that VISA PREMIER or MASTER CARD GOLD is required during identification. Only when you pay then they will tell you or I was told to search their website for something I don’t even know . Cancelled the reservation within 5 mins as I only have standard credit card and was charged £50. Not happy

Not completely clear what the price includes - hidden charges appear at check out. Reviews are correct , this company do not want you to contact them… phone just rings out. I booked it and I have no idea what will happen upon my arrival at Pisa. Fingers crossed or it could be a nasty experience if my car doesn’t exist!

If I could give zero stars I would. A total scam, they take your money and promise a refund and the money never gets paid back. I cancelled our booking in April was promised a refund in 10 days and still nothing received. Their excuse was that they were short of staff in accounts. Avoid this company at all cost.

This is a fraudulent car rental company. No matter how cheap the price you see on its website, when you actually rent a car, you will be charged a very high additional fee by the car rental company. Calling the customer is basically useless, and they won't refund you the money, just a waste of your time.
