I paid 3 times for my dog to come into this veterinarian's office for an Ear infection and I called yesterday morning and they promised me that the doctor would call me that day and did not. I called again this morning and crystal the very unprofessional front desk was extremely rude. Told me That she would not be able to get me in until Thursday of next week my dogs ears are bleeding and she's in pain and she has already been there at least 3 times for this issue and they can't Resolve it actually they tried to put the blame on me. I would definitely avoid this Veterinarian's office They have no manager on duty and the doctor will not return Your phone calls obviously because they don't care Or they're All Star receptionist Didn't give the doctor the note. it would be literally A 2 minute phone call at most. Crystal actually laughed at me When I said this was absurd that I've spent hundreds of dollars Trying to get her fixed and they can't seem to do it, but the worst part was the customer service that crystal gave. She Most definitely needs retraining in customer service and how to speak to a customer. She actually told me that I could go somewhere else. So I called back again got A different medical assistant who was a lot more mature And friendly and gave me a much earlier appointment so obviously crystal was being vindictive and giving me a longer wait At the expense of my dog's health.. I'll leave a number that's not calling you

EDIT: There is not enough I can say about this hospital. In the past 7 months we have lost two of our dogs, both at unreasonably young ages. Their care and compassion while explaining their conditions, and helping us deal with their end of life decisions were absolutely amazing. It is unfortunate that they know us now by our first names, even when we call. This is the only vet that we will ever use while we live in the Nashville area. They are amazing from their front office staff all the way to all of their amazing doctors. We love Dr. Brumbelow and Dr. Piper, but all of the other docs have been amazing as well. We are lifetime clients. Please take your pet there, they are amazing people. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have been taking my animals to Grassmere since we got our cat 5 years ago, and now I take all 3 of our animals to them (cat and 2 dogs). The staff is wonderful, the doctors always spend plenty of time to answer all of your questions, and their prices are always reasonable. I continue to go to them even though now we live in Smyrna. It is very much worth the drive. I wouldn't think about going anywhere else.

Insanely unprofessional and highly irresponsible. I’ve taken my animals here for years and at the beginning they were quite friendly. Over the years however the staff seem to get to comfortable with their customers. I have been going here for nearly 7 years of business and here’s how it ended. My sister went here for a check up for our dog and she was late. My mother and her had a private phone discussion however, the nurses there were nosy enough to listen to them and make fun of my sister WHILE SHE WAS STILL IN THE ROOM. Highly unprofessional and very stupid of the staff. Another time I was late 2 times understandably however I was more than willing to pay the late fee down deposit cause it was my fault however they decided to terminate business with us. This is fine however what isn’t is gossiping about your customers WHILE THEY’RE RIGHT THERE. Of course they told us they would investigate (AKA lie and do nothing). If you like being treated like garbage and scammed at their prices then you’re in for a treat!

I've been to a few different vets recently, and I think covid has really put a strain on this industry because everything always feels very rushed and like everyone is stressed or like they don't have the time to really look for what's wrong. However, this wasn't the case at Grassmere. Dr Clark spent a considerable amount of time looking over previous medical records, listening to my cats heart/lungs (an area of concern for me) and answered lots of questions. My cat has had a few issues going on for a few months that no one really seems to know what's going on. While I still don't have a definitive answer, this is the first vet visit I didn't cry at or leave feeling like my cat is on the brink of death. My visit was less than $90, which also included a bag of food. I will definitely take him back here in the future.

I just brought all 3 of my pups in recently and each one saw a different doctor. Jack is my nervous guy and assistant Ana and Dr. Piper were so kind and gentle with him. Charlotte is my happy go lucky girl, and she saw Dr. Brumbelow who spent a lot of time with her and my husband, who needed to hear and understand that Char is overweight! Dr. B really helped him understand just how important it is for her to lose weight and he’s now totally committed (he was previously NOT!). My older girl Macon saw Dr. Clark, who is always so kind and gentle and really help put her at ease during her exam. She has anal gland issues and the techs and assistants that expressed them did a fantastic job! She feels much better!!! Often times she will be really irritated afterwards but not this time.

The team at Grassmere Animal Hospital always took really good care of my cats at an affordable price. The techs and front desk staff are attentive and friendly to you and your pets. Their lobby even has a separate area for cats, so you can wait in peace for your appointment. Dr. Cindy Brumbelow always recommended multiple treatment options, including starting with the most conservative option, and working up from there. I never felt like anyone tried to oversell me anything here. Sadly, we moved to another state, but I highly recommend GAH to anyone looking for a new cat vet in Nashville.

We have been going to Grassmere since we lived on that side of town, and continued to take our cat and senior dog when we moved to Madison in 2018 in spite of being closer to other providers. We rescued 2 pit bulls in 2019 and 2020, one named Forrest who has a lot of fear and anxiety. Dr. Piper, Dr. Clark and Dr. B have all been so loving and patient with Forrest, our fearful boy. It means the world to us and Forrest now trusts them. We are so grateful for the team at Grassmere and will always rely on them to care for our family. The staff here is SO kind to my cats. They always have such great care and respect for me and my cats when we come in. One of my cats had a potty accident in our crate when he came in one time and while the doc was talking with me and reviewing everything the nurse was so sweet and helped clean everything up. They take such great care of us every time. I would highly recommend. Update: they're still so amazing with my cats. Today one was being extra grumpy and feisty and they were SO patient and kind and helpful. I've never had vets do such amazing work with my pets.

Have been going here my entire 43yrs of life. EVERYONE of my family let's have gone there. Have seen each and everyone of the Dr's. Each I'll add have been there 4 multiple years. Staff has always been GREAT. I had a 17yr cat going down hill quickly. Made a appt to see Dr.Cindy. She was awesome as always. Very informative about what was going on. Then let us make our decision... a VERY HARD ONE AT THAT!! We had Little One cremated and within a wk she was back home with us. They even took time 2 send a card. If you LOVE your fur babies you should bring them here..

I brought my two reactive dogs in for a wellness check 6/30/2022. Vet visits are always filled with anxiety for my dogs and I, and Dr. Piper made the visit extremely pleasant. She and the staff were patient, and welcoming. I called ahead of time to ensure there were no dogs in the lobby of the hospital that could be a possible trigger to my dogs, and the staff were understanding and accommodating. So sad that I am not a permanent Nashville resident, as I would love to take this hospital along with me on my travels. Highly recommend this vet for your beloved pets.

I used to take my cats to Nashville Cat Clinic, but my husband recommended Grassmere as it’s closer to us and generally more affordable. I had seen Dr Brumbelow before and I liked her, but after Dr Piper squeezed me in one morning after I woke up to find my beloved tabby had passed away- I’m pretty loyal to her now. I bring in my remaining elderly cat and our new young cat to see Dr Piper. She’s gentle and patient, and you can tell she cares and genuinely likes cats (some vets are clearly only DOG people!). Supporting staff are always helpful too.

Nitro is my first cat, so I had a lot of questions. They were answered thoroughly and willingly. They did a great job giving him his shots, he didn’t even seem to feel them with the distraction of the bit of cheese whiz that was laid out for him. The Dr. Even made a special arrangement in her schedule to get Nitro in to be neutered sooner than was originally planned because he was a little older than I heard he was, and it was time. Overall, I am very pleased with the entire process and this will definitely be where I continue to take my pet.

From the doctors to the techs and assistants, they are highly-trained and very skilled at providing care. I’ve been going for 3 years now. Dr. Walter Clark is willing to sit and explain everything they’re doing, all the options and any questions you have. I could not have asked for a better vet, and I simply stumbled upon them when I had just rescued my pup and I needed to get her into a vet quickly for bloody diarrhea. They got me in within hours and were helpful and empathetic. It feels like a small town family business. Highly recommend.

Dr. Clark and his assistant are absolutely wonderful. They were exceptionally loving to my cat. I was very, very impressed with our first appointment. The Doctor is called "the cat whisperer" and I can see why! I'm adding this after posting: a lady there behind the desk, had her own dog there and he was so sweet, cute and welcoming! He put both arms on the counter and really wanted to say "hello!" It's a very warm and loving clinic.

I've never had an issue with Grassmere until recently- I don't know the staff member's name but they were very rude, difficult, and made me jump through hoops to fix their mistake of making me the secondary owner of my own animal. That said, I'd give 6 stars if I could only because of the way Amanda corrected the situation in less than a minute and with the sunniest disposition. Thank you Amanda!

Love Dr. Clark and the staff. Always courteous and friendly. My little guy has been going there for years. He has had teeth and weight problems recently, and Grassmere has been incredible with my little buddy. Just went through surgery for a second time, and Dr. Clark gave me all the information in a comprehensive and gentle way. (I always learn something from him) I could go on, however I will just say I am grateful to you all.

We’ve taken our pets to Grassmere Animal Hospital for more than 20 years. They’re exceptional, caring, quick to act and highly professional. Even when our dogs have come to the end of their journey, the physicians and staff of Grassmere have demonstrated the highest level of compassion in both their words and actions. I love that Grassmere has never pushed expensive procedures onto our family. I feel that Grassmere can offer the best care and would be capable of offering “no-limits” care recommendations but are also aware that many pet parents are most comfortable with basic, comprehensive care for their furry family members. Most recently, my appointment was easy to book, and they had me in and out quickly for routine bloodwork.

Just started going here this year and have had really good experiences with two different vets. One was able to get rid of my cat's recurrent ear infection he'd had for over a year that my previous vet couldn't seem to figure out. Took my other cat in a month later for vaccines and a checkup and had a pleasant experience. The prices are WAY better than some other vets in the area. I will continue to use this vet!

Love Grassmere and absolutely recommend them to everyone. They have always been very pleasant and helpful. All the prices are fair and they never try to upcharge or oversell as I've encountered at other vet offices. These folks really really care about our animals. We have a dog and 3 cats and everytime an issue occurs, I can count on Grassmere to treat the animals and to teach me. One of our cats had a pocket of infection rupture one afternoon just before closing time for the weekend. The doctor and staff stayed late so we could come get antibiotics. They truly are wonderful and I'm happy we take our pets to them.

Dr. Piper is amazing. She truly cares about my 2 dogs. She remembered that 8 years ago when she gave my dog his first shots he had an allergic reaction. When he got shots this time she gave him a shot of Benadryl, just to make sure we never have to repeat the scare from 8 years ago. She cares deeply about all animals well-being. I could go on and on but Dr. Piper will be out vet for as long possible!

We've used Grassmere Animal Hospital for all of our pet(s) care since 2006. We've always been more than happy with the level of care, compassion and patience the providers & staff show our pets & us too. They share a wealth of knowledge when needed. They have even been gracious to make a payment plan in a time of need. We are 100% satisfied and would recommend them to anyone in need of pet care.

Grassmere Animal Hospital has been a great vet for us. Dr Brumbelow helped us with our elderly dog with excellent advice and palliative care. And Dr Clark is treating our rescue cat Mia and her kittens. Both vets have been very professional and caring. We ask many questions and they have always taken the time to answer our concerns. The nurses and desk staff are very friendly and helpful also.

Everyone is always to friendly and kind to both my dog Reggie and I. Reggie gets really excited when we pull up to the building! I always feel like my questions are fully answered and that everyone loves and wants the best for the animals there. I very grateful for the kindness you guys show us and for helping Reggie feel better when he was sick a few weeks ago. I can’t thank you guys enough!

Staff is AMAZING! I had a pet emergency (cat Lilly was having seizures and tremors) and you can walk in on Saturday mornings. They got us right back and saved her life and even left her IV port in should I have to take her to an emergency vet over weekend. I brought her back on Monday for follow up and she was sent home and recovered after just as predicted by Dr. Clark. Love these people♡

I have had cats all my life and think the place is great. It's no-frills where it doesn't matter and rock-solid-excellent where it does and they pass the savings on the former back to you. They have helped me enormously in nursing a couple of elderly cats back to health including currently 17-year-old Rocky, who is my avatar. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. GREAT AT SAVING FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS!

Grassmere has been our vet for years now. Everyone there is a delight. Nobody in town can take better care of your pet than these folks. We have had several dogs over the years and all of them have had the best care ever. Even my daughters' pet rabbit was cared for here. Dr. Clark has been our main vet, but we have seen everyone at one time or another. The staff are amazing!

Grassmere Animal Hospital is a excellent .Great doctors and staff and affordable care. The doctors and staff genuinely care about our pets. Dr Clark and the other doctors are very experienced and knowledgeable. Everyone takes the time to make sure we understand any issue our cats or dog is having and that we understand the instructions of how to take care of them at home.

Dr Piper has been the best Vet we've seen in Nashville. She is super sweet to my pups and treats them like children which they are. Joey and Lucy adore her and the peanut butter she has. I can go in for an appointment without the fear of getting an outrageous bill for a visit. The staff is also very nice and helpful. My Joey gives them all hugs every time he goes in.

Everyone was very kind and efficient. Midnight is a dog who uses his mouth as a hand and they were very gentle with their use of a muzzle for him. They also addressed his fear and pain and delayed a nail trim until his feet felt better and he could have some pain meds before he comes back. I never hesitate to recommend GAH to others who are looking for a vet.

All of the staff are willing and ready to accommodate my dog's needs, such as being dog selective. The staff are friendly, patient, and so good at interacting with my pet and me! I had a lot of questions at my dog's 1st visit, and the staff took the time to answer them, which helped build my confidence and peace of mind as I learn how to care for my new dog.

I have 4 dogs that go to Grassmere Animal Hospital. No matter which veteranarian takes care of them, we are always treated great ! They take the time to explain what's wrong, what options there are for treatment ( starting with least expensive ) or if time alone can heal whatever it is. All the staff are very courteous and I see the same with other visitors.

I took my cat to this hospital 3 times in a month. It wasn’t until the last time (today) that they noticed she needed immediate attention. At that time it was too late. She passed away today. You need to take your animals to a place where you are heard the first time and immediate care is provided. Choose somewhere else. I lost my best friend today.

I have been taking my pets here for as long as I can remember. Recently, my 15 year old shih tzu had a tumor removed from her eyelid. Dr. Piper did the surgery and her eye looks amazing, almost like nothing happened. I’m excited to see her heal and become her old self. My cat suddenly became very ill requiring emergency surgery! Dr. Clark took wonderful care of everything & saved her life. I took my cat to the vet and had Dr Brumbelow. I spent 400.00 on a full work up with blood work, urine and x-rays. She told me to double the meds he was on and he might need pain relief and she would look up the dosage info on that. I didn't get that call back until 4 business days after later. Really disappointed in the lack of concern.

The lady vet. and her assistant were so caring and kind in helping our precious Molly (dog) with her end of life care. She simply couldn't have had a better or easier way to Heaven. God bless them for all the care they gave her in her lifetime. It was the hardest thing, but they made it the best they could for our family. Thank you!

Everyone at this clinic is so kind. Dr. Clark listens, explains concerns I have, and presents multiple options of how we can address them. A vet tech pet my dog throughout his whole exam. And the staff at check-in and check-out are friendly and helpful too. All around great experience both times I've taken my dog there.

When they finally returned to Nashville, we confirmed that it wasn’t just an overblown fantasy. Grassmere is the best. Beyond that, their prices are very reasonable.

Such an empathetic animal hospital. I unexpectedly lost my beloved Oliver Eugene this morning, I called them cause I didn’t know what to do. One of the employees literally consoled me. It was amazing to experience the empathy this place offers. They are the angels on earth for our furbabies.

Walter Clark has been my vet for way over 30 years. I have moved a few times but have never gone to another vet. He is kind, compassionate, brilliant, and continues to stay abreast of the latest research and care procedures. All of this and still affordable. You won't be disappointed.

I spoke to the kindest woman on the phone here. I called because they had taken great care of my dog in the past. They didn’t have room to take an emergency patient, but she directed me to a good clinic that could and was reasonably priced. I’ve honestly never been so grateful.

A little hole in the wall that you would never think was such a good veterinarian. The location around it can be sketchy but the service is really good. The vet did a really great job with my dog's surgery and explained everything really well.

Could not speak more highly of the vets at Grassmere. They are so kind and patient with my, admittedly, skittish dogs. If I have something urgent, they find a way to squeeze me in. Nicest techs, vets, admin and comparatively very affordable.

Got my Molly girl in the same day I called. She was soooo sick. A couple of shots and a day or two of meds, and she is ready to play ball and ride in the truck with me again. They didn't rob me....pricing was fair. Good people.
