Took my 11y old lab for the 1st time because his vet were closed temporarily. my baby was so sick with vomit, fever, he dont even wanted to get up, we got to this place, the give us a list with prices of all of test my dog may need the total was almost $700, they did a blood test and xrays, the vet told us my dog have a big mass on his belly, she was pretty sure it was cancer, she said his glucose was really low and she was worry he didnt make the night, she recommended to hospitalized my dog the same day for $2000 a night and she recommed an endoscopy to see what treatment he need, the endoscopy was almos $4000 the other option she gave us was putting my dog to sleep becouse he would never resist a surgery becouse the mass was huge, I just left the room with my baby, my heart was broken! We decided to get another opinion, they give us copies of the xrays, took my baby to a different vet the next day, the vet said he couldn’t see any mass on the xrays he said he had an infection, he give us the prescription and my baby start feeling better the next day, I was still worry for my dog, so I decided to send the xrays to a different vet just to make sure my baby was fine, the vet said the exact same thing, he couldn’t see any mass!! this happened almost 2 weeks ago and my baby is still with us, happy and healthy he, Please please please, if this peolple give you a really bad diagnostic, take a second opinion, we paid them almos $500 that day and they didnt do anything for my dog. Please be careful!!

Every person truly cares about the pets and the pet owners! Smart and intelligent and would take time to dumb it down for me , I just wish our previous vet in mt Juliet was not just in it for the $$$ and acted like a $&@? $&@! And would of been more like the vets at south side . Under our circumstances they all so compassionate with me and my wife as we found out that our Boxer was fighting lung cancer for months previous to our first visit with our big boy. The staff help us as we had to say goodbye to him in a private room and made him comfortable so he was at peace and did not have to fight and struggle any more. We were so blessed with our number 1 boy , and I am sure that the rest of our little pack will be in great hands and health now that we found south side!

My dog always has a great time every time she boards there, I know this because she always takes a great nap when we get home. I feel comfortable knowing that she is with a team of experts that have a real compassion for animals- not just any person off an app where you’re not sure if your dog’s needs are actually being met. I wish I could remember their names but the women at the reception desk are always so friendly every time I come in with my dog. It’s just an overall great atmosphere that’s super convenient to where I live. One of my friends is thinking about getting a dog. I told her if she does, she needs to take them to Southside because they are the best in Nashville! Thank you so much!

Our boy (senior tabby cat) was really sick and they took great care of him. He is now on the mend; we really appreciate Southside!! We're new to them (our boy couldn't handle a longer car ride to the vet we had previously been going to) and we've interacted with two vets there so far, and they both been wonderful. The techs and the people at the desk also were very kind and caring. I also really appreciated that they gave me an estimate of potential costs at the beginning of the appointment showing which tests/treatments/procedures they were considering using for that appointment, so we could decide together what procedures were important/time sensitive for him. Thank you!!

Dr. Sara Anderson and the rest of the staff here is AMAZING! From the time you walk through the doors to the time you leave, someone is there to assist you, with REAL smiles on their faces! You can tell that everyone that works there LOVES being there, which means your animal is going to be LOVED! They were more than informative with what was going on with my pup, Hershey! They took all my worries away and treated Hershey as if she was one of their own! I really wanted to thank all of you for being so great, and kind! If you are looking for a new vet, YOU HAVE FOUND ONE! I love it, here! Hershey will go nowhere else!

I have looked over what I previously posted and maintain my feelings about Southside have remained the same. You will find those comment here. I have taken my dog to this clinic for years and have always been impressed with the gentle and adept care they have shown her. It can be a real challenge to find dedicated caregivers for animals who are both gentle and thorough. I have been very pleased with the care Luna and we, as her family, have enjoyed here. I do recommend the veterinary care we have experienced and if you are in need of care for your beloved "fur babies" I'm very comfortable in recommending Southside.

We are happy with the courteous, friendly, professional, caring staff at Southside Animal Hospital. The prices are in a normal range and the facility is clean. Great service! Update: My dog suddenly was having difficulty walking. Her back legs were not working. I called Southside and they fit her in right away though they already had a full schedule. Update: As my dog ages and faces age related issues, Southside vets and personnel are always there to help. I am grateful for their care.

Everyone are very nice and polite, they show great compassion for your pet & before they do the annual wellness checkup a technician goes over everything with prices. You’ll have the opportunity to have it all done or let them know what you don’t want. They do a through check on your pet & let you know what if anything they find. The front check in is quick and easy with staff keeping you apprised of any delays. I’d like to personally recognize one and her name is Kat. She’s always so bubbly & makes you feel as a real valuable customer. She’s an asset to the Southside family.

I LOVE Southside. I have a 3 year old rescue who is very anxious and all the staff here are amazing with her. The front desk, techs, and vets are all super knowledgeable! I always have so many questions as a first time dog mom and they’re so compassionate and patient with me. I never feel like I’m being rushed or sold something that my girl doesn’t need. I'd like to thank everyone working there for being compassionate to me. They were very kind to me and even though my cat passed away, I feel like she was in great hands. It gives me comfort to think that she was able to pass without any pain thanks to their help. They even sent us a card that they personally wrote on sharing even more compassion to us that also had my kitty's paw prints in it. Rest easy our sweet Sophie.

Being new in town, we didn't have a vet when it came time for our little Scout to cross the rainbow bridge, I called and Paula was so extremely nice and understanding and set us up that day. The entire staff handled a very difficult time for us with grace and dignity, with us being first time, and unfortunately not repeat customers, they still treated us as long time customers. I would recommend them to anyone.

Amazing team of doctors, techs and staff! My dog Elway had to have emergency surgery and they were quick to get him in and inform me of the whole process of the surgery and expectations. I was very impressed with how they treated Elway and their kindness. The vets and techs kept me in the loop with his recovery and comfort during and continued to keep in touch after. I highly recommend Southside Veterinarian!

Dr Sara Anderson was so caring and compassionate with both of my dogs. She was especially kind with my dog, Scout, who had been diagnosed with cancer after having a high-grade mast cell tumor removed by a different vet 1-31-23. She gave me various options if I start to notice symptoms that his condition is worsening. Thank you, Dr. Anderson, for being the kind, caring vet I have been searching for!

Roughly 2 years of taking Lucy to SSAH, and all of their staff are good to amazing. They genuinely care about their patients and owners. They’re warm, accommodating and transparent. Attributes that, all of which, are to find today. They go out of their way to help, and they don’t have to express the amount of empathy they provide. Kind of puts things into perspective.

My little dog Rocky was sick and I called them and they took him in within the hour and took great care of Rocky and told me everything they were going to do before they did it and discussed price with me. (I didn't care about the money just wanted my baby boy ok) and I highly recommend this place. They're awesome!!

Southside Animal Hospital is a great place to take your pets in their time of need. The people at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Steele answered all my questions and concerns. We were using another animal hospital in the past. But now, we feel Southside will be our place to take our little dog.

The service is excellent! The vets are nice and polite! They handle my dog Sox so well, they treat all dogs and cats wonderfully. They are great at explaining situations and treatments and giving recommendations for animal care and other dog related products. Would totally recommend if you need help for anything.

I’ve brought my dog here for everything from a routine checkup to anasthesia tooth extraction. Second vet I’ve been to and it’s night and day how amazing this one is. They truly care for my dog and are very personable with people and their needs. Would recommend to literally anyone looking for quality care.

I travel for work and it’s such a comforting feeling to know that I can leave Fenway at Southside Animal Hospital. They are so kind and so loving to him. He’s always well taken care of and very happy when I pick him up. I don’t know what I would do without them. I can’t recommend them strongly enough!!!

My dog loves when we come here. Everyone always gives him so much love and attention. Dr Flynn is great! I haven’t seen any other doc but I’m sure they are all just as good. Their prices are competitive and they are close to my house. I’m so happy I switched from Banfield 2 years ago.

SSAH was so compassionate and caring when I had to put down my 12 1/2 year old boxer recently. So compassionate and caring while our family made a decision and said our goodbyes. Thankful for a compassionate non-hurried experience in such a difficult time. Love these people

They did a wonderful job communicating with me when boarding my cat. She had a rough start but they contacted me and gave her a little bit of medicine each day to make her stay more comfortable. Also the medicine was like $40 of that for the whole week! I was very pleased!

Love this vet clinic! Highly recommend. I’ve had a great experience with every vet I’ve interacted with. They have helped me through some tough issues and end of life decisions with my pets. They are also are very reasonable for every day needs and exams.

We love the staff at Southside! We have a very dramatic husky who used to pout for days after his annual exam, but he loves Dr. Flinn so much! Anytime we have a question or we are worried about something, the staff always takes care of us!

Couldn’t believe how expensive it was for vet to clean out my dogs ears and put medicine in them. The entire bill was way too much. Gave me an incredibly expensive quote on having my small dogs teeth cleaned. This place is very expensive!

This practice is wonderful from the front desk staff, to the vet techs, to the vets. They all work well together for the best interest of your pet! We especially love Dr. Steele who takes a lot of time to make sure your pet is thriving!

We have 3 dogs and a cat. We love everyone at Southside and believe me when I say the expense we incur there is much less than old vet. They’re truly caring and thorough and don’t expend a dime without prior appt even for well checks
