I contacted Grayzer Electric along with a few others last summer when I got my Tesla Model Y to get an estimate for upgrading our older mod-90's service panel and install a Tesla charger. At the time, it was a very good price, but I ended up going with a much cheaper option of getting a 14-50 outlet installed off our sub panel in the garage. Turns out, that was a mistake, as that solution gave us problems until I de-rated the charging by 50% to not kick off and overheat our sub panel breaker. I learned the hard way that old adage about having to do something twice. So this summer I decided enough was enough, and got new estimates from various electricians around Austin (the big names you all know).The prices were honestly shocking, but I also reached out to Grayzer again as well. They refreshed the estimate, which barely changed at all. Their reviews are great, so I said let's do it. Because I'm not in City of Austin, they were able to schedule me the same week. Max and his crew showed up exactly on time, maybe a few minutes early even, and was very clear about everything that needed to happen. Once PEC arrived and pulled the meter, they all got to work, with him removing and replacing our old panel with a new Eaton CH, and the other two helping and running the conduit and lines for the charger. The garage of our 2-story is opposite the panel, so this was an up the side, over through the attic, and down the other. I did an outside install, since the Tesla Wall Connector is weatherproof. The final results are fantastic, and charging at 48A is so much better than 16A. The guys were easy to talk to, answered every question I had, were fine with me being nosy and watching them work. The inspection was smooth and took just a few minutes, and the whole job was done – including the wait on PEC to come back and push the meter back in – earlier than they originally said when they arrived that morning. The bill was exactly the original estimate, too. No overage. Fun fact: the total cost was $2k less than just the panel replacement estimate from the other guys, and about half the other full estimates I got. Grayzer charged about what I found when I googled "cost to replace service panel". Fair price, honest people, great results. I would recommend them to friends, family, and complete strangers, like y'all. :)

Can't say enough about my experience with Brock at Grayzer Electric. I found Grayzer via a Google search and contacted them based on their high reviews. I was not disappointed. From the start, Jessica was very informative in setting up the appointment and guiding me in what I would need to consider in the install of a single coachlight over my garage door. Meeting the electrician, Brock, just carried over my buyer's confidence even more. He arrived on time and got to work, helping me decide on placement, size, and set up. He instructed me clearly on not only how to direct the necessary masonry pre-work for my install but also on a recommended timer for my fixture. Next, he engaged me on desired fixture placement, treated all of my questions with respect and patience, and got to work on the wiring. The wiring and conduit was clean and unobtrusive. He saved me money by suggesting the timer setup and I've not looked back. Neighbors marvel at how tidy the conduit and end results look. And the light is a beautiful add to my home. I found Grayzer from a long list of Tesla recommended installers. Let me say, I am SO glad I went with Grayzer. They visited my house and prepared a quote within days. All other competitors were slow to respond and over priced. Max P and Todd arrived on time and did the work swiftly with top notch professionalism. They installed a Tesla gen 3 charger, surge protection, and ran electrical across my attic to the other side of my house. We were in the middle of a heatwave and the attic was extremely hot, but they met the challenge and delivered perfect work. The location of the charger requires running electrical in a very tight spot and was expecting conduit outside my house. However, they pulled off what I though was impossible and did a SUPER clean install. Nothing exposed, just a Tesla charger on the wall, exactly where I wanted it. Post install, Max P ran me through the warranties, wifi setup, basic instructions on things to do before calling for help. He was very knowledgeable with Tesla chargers and explained why I should pair wifi. Best of all, I am no longer charging at 4mph. My car charges above 40mph, a 10x improvement. Seriously look no further for an electrician. Having tried a few others on various projects, this team is the best.

I just wanted to take a moment to say how fantastic my experience with Grayzer Electric has been. I purchased my first Electric Vehicle at the beginning of Aug 23, that same week I started looking for a company to install my home EVSE (Charging device). I shopped around and read lot of reviews and I kept seeing Grayzer come up on Yelp, Google and Reddit. I figured I would get a quote from them for the work and it was magic from there! Their quoting process is simple and easy, answer some questions, upload some photos of your home and they got me a quote within 2 hours that was reasonable. From there, I confirmed the quote and they set me up for installation. They came to my home the next week, they arrived on schedule, were courteous and upfront. Both of the gentlemen that arrived took excellent care of my home and did a wonderfully clean and FAST installation of my EVSE. They even walked me through setting up my EVSE with the app! If you live in the Austin Metro area and need an EVSE or other electrical work done. I would absolutely recommend Grayzer!

Grayzer electric was great. I needed an exterior light installed where no light existed. The exterior wall is brick and another company I contacted wouldn't even do the job. Brock, the technician assigned to the job, called me two and a half hours before the scheduled time saying he was available. I was out but told him I could be back in 15 minutes. He was already waiting when I arrived home. He assessed the situation and found a good location for the light, consulted with me as to how high I wanted the light to be placed and went about his work. He told me it would take an hour to an hour and half to finish the job and that's exactly how long it took. Grayzer charges by the hour and then by the quarter hour after that and the cost was extremely reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend Grayzer to anyone.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. I hired Grayzer to install a Wall Connector for a Tesla in my parking lot at my small condo complex. First, the communication with this company was above and beyond when explaining what was needed. I had a lot of questions since I'm dealing with an HOA and property management. They were patient and very helpful & responsive. Then the quote arrived - it was detailed with a very competitive price so I hired them. On installation day, Max was incredibly professional, and the work was done perfectly. My neighbors commented on the quality of the workmanship and how pleasant the electricians were. Max & Grayzer are top notch, and I wouldn't hesitate to work with this company again. So glad I found them.

Right after Grayzer installed some recessed lights, the breaker would trip frequently when turning on the lights. Apparently they did not wire them appropriately, causing the circuit to arc i.e. a fire hazard. One light = honest mistake, three out of four = one star. Update: I gave two more stars as Grayzer did contact me to apologize and to find out more information about what happened, which I appreciated. I should mention that they do warranty their work but I just didn’t want them back. However, they offered to reimburse me for the other electrician who fixed the problem so even though it didn't work out the first time with Grayzer, they do seem to go out of their way to make things right.

I'm happy with Grayzer Electric since they thoroughly explained information and helped me understand so I could choose wisely. I wasn't sure which route to choose given the almost twofold price difference between installing NEMA ($500) and Tesla Wall Connector ($1100). If I chose the less expensive NEMA option now, I was worried that there would be issues in the future. With the help of an informed family member, I verified the information Grayzer Electric had given me and realized they are obviously professionals in their industry. I decide to use the Tesla charger they suggest. They no longer install NEMA, in any case. They installed my Tesla charger the day after I accepted their quote.

Electrician 1 - It'll be $4500 to install a new panel and install your ev charger Electrician 2 - It'll be $1500 to install your EV charger, never looked to see that a new panel might be needed r that something might have to be unhooked. Grayzer Electric - It looks like 2 things in your panel go to something you probably aren't using. If we can unplug them, it'll be under six hundred bucks for a professional job. They showed up and did the job quickly, and gave me tips on how to deal with another issue in my home free of charge. They were on time, courteous, and professional. Go here. Brock and Dylan were exceptional! We have a 1970's home and wanted to update the lighting, ceiling fans, switches, and outlets. The installed the Lutron Caseta switches with wireless remote and mobile phone control of the lighting. We scheduled the appointment with Grayzer. They confirmed the dates, sent an email letting us know Brock and Dylan would be arriving the next day. They called us to let us know before arriving each day. They treated the job as though they were doing it in their own home. My second fantastic experience with Grayzer Electric. The quality of their people makes the difference.

Yes they deserve 5 star rating. Their quote was detailed and clear. Upon accepting the quote, their communication from that point was good and kept me updated on what the actual date would be. On the day of install, a crew of two people arrived at 8 and finished the job under 4 hrs. The job was to run cable on both sides of house with conduit and fish through attic. The guys were professional and discussed the options with me before starting the job and were clean in their craftsmanship. Fully satisfied and recommend them for wall charger installs.

I used Grayzer electric for an electric vehicle charging station installation job on advice from two neighbors. They had an easy-to-use online form and were able to fit me in within a day of me emailing them rudder my charging station had arrived and I was ready for installation. Received a text this morning for my EV charging installation appointment. They work around my schedule perfectly. Got a 30-mins heads up upon their arrival, perfect. Under promise, over deliver! They said it would be 2 weeks before my ev charger install, they were there in a week. Said they'd be there at 2, arrived at 1.54. Said it would take an hour. Lies again: took 36 minutes. Said I would charge at 20 miles/hour. Nope, getting 26. This team is good! From initial contact to install and the city permit inspector, response was awesome, friendly, professional, priced fair, and clean. Will absolutely use them again!

Very good experience. Submitting photos for an estimate were clear and easy. Quick response and a detailed quote provided. Communicated well regarding appointment time and arrived at the beginning of the appointment window. Did the work in a timely and efficient manner. Cleaned up the work area. Afterwords they provided detailed instructions to receive a rebate from Austin Energy. Wish all my dealings with contractors went so smoothly.
