My normal vet service is their other clinic Bensonhurst Veterinary Care but as the doctors do rotate especially my Dr. Zawie, we needed to take a trip to Greenwood for my cat Vidar. He desperately needed Dental Surgery on his teeth so we brought him to Greenwood to not have to wait. The staff while is of the same excellence and professionalism as their sister site at Bensonhurst from the techs, staff to the doctors. Dr. Zaccaheo had to do Vidar's surgery in the end as Dr. Zawie had an unexpected emergency leave. Vidar couldn't of been in better hands, he was treated gently, lovingly and even though the poor boy needed 7 teeth pulled he was his sweet self not even six hours later with no post-op complications. They are very quick the doctors both Drs. Zawie & Zaccaheo or a vet tech to answer my emails when I had any questions about Vidar's care. Following their recommendation after their first visit I got pet insurance and they did everything they could to assist me in getting most of Vidar's surgery covered. They care they truly do and are not in in for the money. Here is Vidar a few hours after his surgery and later in the week with his Barabtos (spots) and Ishikawa tabby his brothers. I would recommend Greenwood if you are in the Park Slope area.

I’ve had such a wonderful experience at this place. I recently got a new puppy who had some major GI issues from the get go. Making appointments is a breeze and there has never been a waiting time more than 5 minutes. The facility is wonderful and so CLEAN! The staff is pleasant, courteous, and they remember my puppy each time we come. The Vet Tech, Steve is always kind and thorough. And it’s funny that my dog has a better doctor than I do! Dr. Zaccheo is very professional, knowledgeable, really good at handling my puppy, and is willing to answer all questions. What is also encouraging is that he walks through all the issues with you and doesn’t want to dismiss a thing. He listens. I am also very impressed at how available he is to answer emails after hours. I don’t know many human doctors who would go to those lengths. My puppy is doing much better after working through different issues to get his gut in better shape. And the fact that he loves going to the vet is also a testimony to itself. And they have parking lot? In Brooklyn?? Done deal.

I can't recommend this practice more highly. Their vets are extremely knowledgeable and kind. They take the time to explain everything and don't recommend unnecessary procedures. The receptionists are also very professional and helpful. Phone messages and emails are responded to promptly and if one of my pets isn't feeling well, I'm always able to get an appointment within a day. I have several rescued dogs and the vets at Greenwood have been great, helping me get my pups adjusted, not only with medical support, but also behavioral issues. This is the third veterinary practice I have tried. The others seemed much more interested in recommending unnecessary (and expensive) procedures than in providing quality care. I also found that with previous vets it frequently took up to a week to get an appointment for a sick pet which meant we often ended up at VERG for non-emergencies which was very expensive. Greenwood Veterinary Care is an excellent holistic practice and I'm very pleased with the care they provide.

We love Greenwood Vet Care! Our puppy has seen Dr. Zaccheo and Dr. Zawie on different visits, and both docs are top notch - smart, thorough, gentle, warm, happy to answer all questions, and they clearly love their patients! The desk and Vet Tech staff are also great, friendly, and helpful, and the office is new and very attractively designed, so it’s a really pleasant environment all around. Our dog loves everyone there so much that he pulls at the leash every time we walk past the office because he wants to go in and say hi. He always gets a warm welcome, hugs, and a treat. When our puppy first joined the family, we chose to take him there, after reading good reviews, because the office was incredibly close to our house. But given how great they are, we would happily travel any distance to take him to Greenwood!

There isn’t anything I can say that would fully encompass how wonderful Greenwood Vet is. The entire team is so lovely - the front desk is highly responsive, easy to work with, and incredibly sweet. And the doctors are GREAT. So far we’ve seen Dr. Fortier, who went above and beyond to make sure my kitten was in good shape and soothed my worries with the utmost kindness, and Dr. Zamora who gets them in an out for check ups seamlessly (and they aren’t upset after shots!) and is so friendly and caring. I live a little closer to other vets but the reviews made me want to choose Greenwood when I adopted cats and I could not be happier with our ~4 visits so far. So lucky to have them caring for our furry family members. Can’t recommend them enough!

I recently rescued a 3 year old Australian Shepard mix who arrived with preexisting health issues. Greenwood vet’s office staff was extremely helpful and responsive when I needed to set up my dog’s first visit ( and have been ever since). Dr. Fortier always takes his time talking and explaining information following a visit. I have had my dog for a little over a month and we have been at Greenwood vet almost every week for follow up visits (due to his health issues). Every time has been a positive experience and I feel confident that my dog is receiving the best treatment. I would highly recommend Greenwood Vet for any pet parent!

I really enjoyed my experience at Greenwood. The receptionist was so welcoming and so helpful when I came in for the first time to ask about transferring my dogs records from my previous vet urgently. It was seamless. The doctor was nice, straightforward and mindful of the fact that vet care is expensive. He provided several services at no charge and told me that since I would need to come back within a few days, he would count it as a courtesy visit no office visit charge. These are the little things that make a dog owners life a little easier in the city, and I’m happy to go back soon.

The BEST Vet in Brooklyn! I have 4 furry babies that all go to Dr. Zaccheo for absolutely everything. He is a phenomenal doctor. He will always explain your options, recommend what’s best but never pressure you on a decision, unlike every single vet in Brooklyn. He’s absolutely great with all 4 of my crazy pups and I couldn’t be happier. Prices are very reasonable, and the service is impeccable. I started bringing my dog to greenwood since Dr Zawie left and the only Doc that was left was Rosado and I am not a fan. Best thing I did was switch my dog to Greenwood Dr Tu is amazing so kind, sweet and patient. She explained and went into detail with my dogs exam and told me my options and answered all my question and she had suggestions. It was overal a great visit. The technicians are amazing and the front desk staff are so wonderful. I love this office and recommend this particular location if your looking for Docs who care and love what they do.

I've been here for both of my cats. My older cat, Fluffy, got sick really quickly and we decided to put him down. The staff was extremely courteous and kind. The doctor was also very empathetic and talked me through the details. My new kitten, Ash, just came in for a check up. He got some shots, his nails clipped and some testing done to make sure he was okay. The doctor gave us a call while he was being examined and answered my list of questions and was super patient with me. I enjoy coming here even though it is out of my way location wise.

If I could give a 0 review I would! BEWARE of this place!!! The front desk staff extremely rude? It is impossible to reach anyone by phone! The doctor Zamolka (or Zamora?) stated we booked you for the procedure I paid over $350 for the blood work and they never followed up with me with the results and if my pet clear for the surgery! And when I called to confirm it turned out they never booked my appointment now I have to redo the bloodwork again which cost over the $350!! Extremely unprofessional place with uneducated stuff!!!

We have a new puppy and Doctor Zamora and the staff at Greenwood Veterinary Care have been wonderful. They are responsive, friendly, careful and kind and extremely professional. We are first time puppy parents so we really rely on them for everything, from advice on the basics of feeding and exercise to all of our little guy's medical needs. They are also easy to get in to see when we need them. We feel very safe about our puppy's health with the folks at Greenwood on our side.

My recent visit and exchange with Greenwood Vet Care with my dog was courteous, prompt, informative, and proactive toward next steps in a clear organized way. The receptionist who handled my initial call, the vet assistant/tech who asked check up questions about my dog, and the veterinarian who explained conditions and care - they were all approachable and kind. The vet tech suggested purchasing a tooth paste online and the vet explained follow up options kindly.

I highly recommend this place if you love your pet like a family member. Dr. Zamora is amazing at what he does. Very empathetic, kind and attentive. Upon examining my cane corso/ blue nose mix each time, he recommends treatment options to address concerns, discusses potential side effects as well as pricing to help you decide which to go with. Wait time is minimal, they are very accommodating and the vet techs are super sweet with my baby. No complaints at all.

This is now my new favorite veterinary office in nyc. The staff were so friendly and there’s a parking lot which is a huge deal in that part of Brooklyn! Dr Z was very helpful and really cares about the animals he sees. He took his time to really talk to us and give us some options to care for our pups. I highly recommend this clinic and vet. I've taken my cat here a couple of times - once for a general check-up after I got her, and once for a little tummy issue. The staff is very nice and professional, the facitlity is clean, communication is clear (and at no point have I felt like someone was trying to sell me something that my pet didn't need). The front desk staff is rude; we had an appointment on Tuesday , 06/21. As soon as we walked in she asked us "What time is your appointment?" with an offensive tone of voice. No courtesy, no "Hello", no "How can I help you?". It made us feel much more like "go away" than "welcome". It truly makes a difference when a Vet Clinic has a much better, good costumes services.

Dr. Zamora is truly one of the best vets I've ever met. He saved my cats life. I've taken in my sweet senior girl more times than I can count and he is always attentive, thorough, and informative...even going out of his way to squeeze her in when there wasn't any openings. I always feel better after leaving here and know I can trust him without any doubt.

For one I had a few issues updating information on my cat that actually still doesn't seem 100% fixed. Had to call three seperate days before it was handled satisfactorily. Other than that they are pretty on point with appointment reminders and calling back with information. My cat's nails werent trimmed on the last visit even though I asked.

Dr. Zamora is compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable. I am involved with a regional dog rescue and he treats all of our Brooklyn dogs. As a rescue, it is invaluable to have a vet you can count on with a vast knowledge of all different diseases and conditions. I would highly recommend using him as your pet’s primary care doctor.

GVC offers a high standard of care. Their services are not inexpensive, but every penny spent is worth it. The doctors, technicians, and desk staff are all caring for our dog. Dr. Zaccheo works with our owned pets as well as the cats and kittens we meet during our TNR projects. He cares deeply for each animal and always keeps what is best for the animal at the forefront of every conversation. The vets and staff were very professional and caring. The day after my visit they called me with the results of my dogs blood work. He was very sick and I had to rush him to the hospital. Bc they were able to get his blood work done so quickly they helped save my dogs life.

Greenwood Veterinary Care is one of the few vet clinics that takes the time to explain which procedures and tests are or are not necessary and letting you choose what's best for your pet. Most clinics just do all of the tests and charge you an arm and a leg for it.

I think it’s rare to find a vet who is actually great with cats. My fur baby was incredibly nervous to go in, but by the time we left he was barely meowing. They also treated him with so efficiently, we were done within half an hour. Highly recommend this place!
