Must visit spot in East London. My favorite sopt Whenever I got free time, I visit this place to feel the nature. A really calm canal, marshy forest, massive ground and a long beautiful road. This is the perfect option for health conscious and nature loving people. Evening is the best time to enjoy the beauty of this place. For me this is a stress bursting spot

A lovely place for a good long walk offering a variety of surroundings. Open grassy areas, wooded areas with paths, canal sides, connected to Lee Valley Ice Rink (under construction) and Horse Riding Centre.... paths leading to Leyton, Walthamstow, Stamford Hill/Upper Clapton. If you are lucky you may even stumble across parrots/exotic birds in the trees....
Picnic area
Spoilt for choice in terms of potential picnic spots

This place has gone down a lot in the last year sadly. This management can't organise it properly. I have been regularly walking my dog here for 4 years and within the last year the maintenance has really been neglected. The bins are overfilled and the nature walks that used to be maintained are overgrown and full of brambles. Its such a shame as it used to be such a lovely place to walk. ☹☹

Lots of outdoor football pitches that can be hired out, the pitches are well maintained. The complex has good changing facilities, cafe and bar. There's a car park with good access to the centre and pitches. As this is spread over a very large area check the map inside to see where you're playing as there nit easily marked and you could be in for a long walk!

The perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of London - you wouldn't believe you were still in the capital. Lots of places to play sport & beautiful nature, water and wildlife with that untouched vibe if you venture slightly off the beaten track. Probably one favourite places to get a bit of headspace. Walking distance from the Olympic Park :)

A great place for exercising. Also historical, you can see the filter beds that used to filter water for parts of London. You have the Lee River passing by and the canal. You may be lucky to see a wild Muntjac deer, grey herons catching fish and other wild life. You feel like you are in the country. Lots more history. Worth seeing!

Such a beautiful place to immerse in nature, stunning interplay between organised planting, landscaping and space for self seeding, while water flows through this place, and we walk, play, sit, gaze. Extra- ordinary to believe how this was back in the 1980's, and what a transformation has happened

Located aside and between the River Lee and the Navigation channel. Incorporating sports fields, natural riverside habitats and grass/wildflower fields. Pleasant area for a stroll with well-worn pathways through the fields that come alive with a show of wild flowers in Spring and Summer.

What can I say that hasn't been said about the best marshland in London? If you want to play football, go to hackney marshes. If you want to go for a run, go to hackney marshes. If you want a bit of sun and a read, go to hackney marshes. Hackney marches belong to everyone.

It has existed for an extremely long time. In the summer the blackberries are the best you can sauce. Lots of open space. Excellent for walks and bike rides. Horses near the back. Can take you all the way into Walthamstow. Not advisable to visit after dark.

  • Chintak Jeentilal

Beautiful park with lot of great sport matches. Can go for a walk and enjoy nice breeze on a sunny day. Only bad thing is shortage of car parking. Also the area is very far if you are traveling from Wembley. There are so many traffic lights

Great place to go for a lovely walk and feel the nature. The river Lea is polluted and not suitable for swimming. However I thoroughly loved enjoyed sitting close to the river and enjoy the calm serene nature. This is going to be my

Lots of open space, woods and river walks along the Lea valley river. Come prepared as you will get muddy and wet specially in winter. Hidden places of interest if you are willing to find them, best enjoyed with a dog!..

  • Szilard

It is a fantastic place to walk, take a fresh air, relax. It's a great sized field where you can just enjoy nature. Once you are off the roads, you practically can't hear the city around you. Love this place.

  • bob sedgwick

Brilliant open space full of football pitches. A short walk from the wetlands and Olympic park. Part of the Lea valley park which allows the intrepid pedestrian to exit London without crossing a single road.

  • sharlene anthony

Great space and parking. Dog walker a little annoying with dogs off lead running up to people. Not everyone is a dog person so needs to be looked into.
Restrooms
Always has toilet tissue.

Nice open space....attended a one day cricket tournament, the park space is big enough-if concerns groups can maintain social distancing.

On a beautiful day you can't go wrong. Cycled here for the first time from Enfield and it's such a fun day. Highly recommended.
