Incredibly rude owner. Sitting out the front having a coffee and reading and he comes out rude, no introduction or explaination telling me to leave and physically shooing his arms at me. Theres never any reason to physically touch someone like that in public. There is a right way to address someone and be respectful, and being rude and gruff and waving your arms at someone is not it. I recognise discrimatory behaviour when its done to me. Other people similarly using the tables were not treated the same. Unfortunately there are people like this in the community, avoid this place, there are better, respectful places to be around in this area.

One of the best falafal I've had. Great service, everyone was very friendly and it was clear that they took pride in the food they make. I got the Ciro and would definitely recommend it. However, I might get the classic the next time just to let the star of the show (falafel) shine through. Good places to sit Ave eat outside and you can just chill and wait for your order. Looking forward to going back

Are these the best felafels in melbourne? I reckon they might be. Delicious herby, green balls of fun with so much flavour that go beyond just the bland one flavoured chickpea dry bites that you get from most places. The owners of this restaurant are so lovely and super happy to have a chat if they aren’t serving their many faithful customers (for very good reason!).

My friends have been raving about their falafels and after trying it out for myself, it was indeed the best falafels and baklava I’ve ever had! Their falafels (& cauliflowers) are delicious and made all other falafels fade in comparison. The baklavas aren’t as sweet as most other ones, which is perfect for me because I often find baklavas too sweet for my liking. The male owner was also super friendly to us. 10/10 will come back.

If there weren't so many scroungy pigeons and there were a few large plants/pot plants around, this would be an even better "square," well ok Mall then, — C'mon Council get in and make it shady and pleasant for Summer. Maybe a cooling foot bath pool. Meri-bek you need to think outside the Square!

It was my 1st time, the lady at the cashier was friendly and welcoming. I Ordered 2. Half Moon, love it! Flavours were good, veggies were fresh and sweet. Will definitely return when i’m in the area! On a side note, dining area is only al fresco.

Order to make falafel warp! We had full moon warp, sunflower warp and lattes. The warp is very big, it likes 2 meals for me. Good coffee and great service. Highly recommended the falafels and halloumi.

Authentic Egyptian food. Been going there for almost 10 years. Same high quality of service. Friendly staff. Colibaba is a must try. Foul plate is my favourite for who love fava beans. Falafel always fresh and delicious. Option to buy raw falafel and cook at home.

I eat here maybe twice a month. I love everything here and never imagined how good falafel can taste especially as they cook it when you order. So it's always super crispy and nice. I love it with the baba ghanoush or the haloumi. Or both! I can't wait to come back.

I enjoyed my wrap! Got the classic one for a first try and it was really tasty. Staff were really helpful and there is a decent waiting time during busy times but they have a number system! Ingredients were fresh

Amazingly good falafel wraps that are cheap as chips. $8 for a wrap with 3 falafels and a choice of fillings is simply amazing value. The falafels are fried fresh to order by the friendly staff. It's fascinating watching them expertly assemble the tasty wraps. Highly recommended

  • Davide Baj

I absolutely loved the falafels, babaganoush, and those zesty pickled chillies and cucumbers! The seating is al fresco, and they've got this cool system where they assign you a number, and there's a nifty display to eagerly watch for your food. Trust me, it's a must-try! More

Delicious falafel - love the Halloumi and Half Moon. Only downside is having to wait outside in the cold for your wrap.

Half Moon Falafel Wrap

  • rayn Reuben

Falafels are good but not the best in Melbourne like how everyone seems to be reviewing about them, not for those looking for fast food cuz its not worth the wait, had to wait 33 mins for a falafel wrap. They are hiring so I hope they find

  • Jacob Barton

I don't really eat Falafel, but this was very tasty. The baba ganoush wrap is nice.

I love this cafe!!! I appreciate that they’re not on any of the delivery apps - you have to go in-person and it’s worth it. On a weekend you might have to wait a little bit. I’ve tried all the felafel wraps and they were all delicious.

  • Katja Mouvlin

Absolutely the best felafels in Melbourne, and have been for years. I will walk through fire to eat here. EDIT: Still the best, worth the 40m round trip. Thank you Half Moon Cafe!

New favourite cafe in Coburg! The food is delicious and the staff are lovely. I was a little worried about eating the falafel, as I’m sensitive to onion and chickpeas, but the man gave me one to try. So kind! More

Easily the best falafel wrap I have ever had - the half moon wrap is perfect, every flavour is perfectly balanced and the wrap itself doesn't degrade into a dripping mess like the wraps from other places
